National Treasure 2! Pretty sweet movie! Nice momentum and action and definitely made me laugh too!

A DAAAAAANG! Holy smokes, the best custom figs I've seen so far! Absolutely amazing sigfig! Such details, it's just...AWESOME!
-
Oh cmon, you give me too much praise, Exobuilder! :-$ :-D Well, I guess you can tell which one I built first then! X-D Plus, MicVash was supposed to be a mech of speed and stealth, so the less clutter details the better, just take a look at the F-117 Stealth Fighter. Nothing but angles, no cluttering details. Plus I wanted to almost make it studless and make use of transblack. It's hard when all you have are 2x1 bricks! :-D

In case you missed it, all the background and details of the black and transblack Mech, Maverick, are here. MARS Armed with an armor piercing rifle and anti-personal trigun. Also equipped with decoy missles that emit smoke and magnetic static charges to disarray foes. The armor has little "hooks" that emit an electronic camoflage, like Maverick, to scramble radar and targeting units. MARU The same armament and equipment except a dual improved targeting rifle. The two ready for assualt. The Whole Gang Don't Mess With the Best And there they chase after the cowards and infidels...there is no mercy.

Background: Having lost interest in becoming a Black Templar, MicVash moves on from his Necronaut slaughter and starts to raise an army of his own. His first support, a small number but fierce, marks the start of the rising storm -- Clan Morrigan. With the help of a mercenary friend, MicVash has acquired the sufficient technology and resources to create such weaponry. Presented here is MicVash's personal Mech, Maverick. The other two Mechs will posted in a seperate topic to save some room (There'd be too many images!) Photo Notes: I took these pictures in the snow today, but it was soooo freezing outside that the snow was nearly ice. It was pretty bright outside too. I really liked the effect that turned out. I didn't have to create a backdrop, the snow was allready there, and the snow reflected the light dramaticly, which made some pretty cool effects. Plus, I was using a new camera! Yay! I don't know if you'll see any better pictures in the future, I think I'll need some snow to do a decent job. Clan Morrigan Notes: I decided to name my faction Clan Morrigan because Morrigan is a Celtic goddess of War, Death, Ravens, Fertility, the Dark goddess, and Fate. I liked the theme of war and the symbol Raven. Fierceness and Death equals nice combo. MicVash's mech is named Maverick because he is indepedent, a lone wolf so to speak, he can handle is own ground. Mars and Maru are also names of gods of war. AND THE MECHS... MAVERICK Armed with two dual pulse lasers. Also equipped with Jump Jets and the armor is of an advanced prototype technology. Specifically designed for stealth, it makes it difficult for opponents to physically see MicVash and emits a signal, a sort of electronic camoflage, that scrambles radar and targeting units. And you're quite childish. I refuse to be a part of EN because of stuff like this. Everyone just wants some control and power and it just all leads to chaos. If you want discpline instilled in your armies then first you have to accept some. I thought we were all out here to just have some fun, showing off our military stuff? But...I guess not entirely.

Yes, as Jifel mentioned, it could just be training. Think of it...like the Danger Room in X-Men. It's real...but it's not. Just a friendly skirmish. And...since all of you seem to be soooo concerned with ranks, why don't you prove your worth to other members?
-
Oh wow you got me! Very funny! The expression is priceless!

You broke a rule of fashion my friend. Black shoes = black belt. There is no in between. Brown shoes = brown belt.

Nice work, this will definitely come in handy some day. Thanks!

Another reason not to hide your LEGO fandom...
MicVash replied to jedikermit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Geez, you lucky dog. I'm not as fortunate but still fortunate enough. I have a neighbor my age who basically has the entire family tree of LEGOs in his basement. Thankfully he's willing to do some trading, selling, or even giving away some pieces. And like you, they're "Dark Age" stuff, like Aquasharks, Insectoids, etc. -
Thank you for the great comments you guys. Right now I'm not in the mood to build something as big as Behemoth again, but I have been working on a few smaller mechs...expect pics this weekend!

It definitely has that makeshift, mechanical slash slightly human look, like a cyborg, but maybe you could even further with it. For instance, I don't know if you want this kind of style, but have something more sleek. For instance, even though, the legs and torso have the mechanical details, they don't have the same base color, so it's incosistent. Same with the mechanical arm (at least I'm assuming), with the blue hand. I do like what you've done with the metal detecter for a gun though. Btw, nice sig and avatar!

Hmm...interesting, I have no clue but I'll give it some thought over this Christmas break. It would be great cause all of those EN zealots could have a chance to show their stuff.
-
The funniest one of the three by far!!! Oh wow, I'm still chuckling! :-D :-D :-D X-D
-
Rather, I wish I had the pieces to build like that!
-
Just as I expected, and wow, you must've paid a penny or two. The torsos were a good idea, cheap, mass produced, yet effective. However, you're poor soldiers will have merely flak jackets to protect them.

My apologies, Sinner. AvP was just the first thing that came to mind because of the upcoming movie debut. The "Aliens" movies I do like. The Predator movie with Ahhhnold...eh, not so much.

I am really liking these comics! Photographed well, edited well, short but oh so sweet. I love the quick punch line at the end. Really makes it seem like a good ol Sunday newspaper comic, and I'm sure makes it easier to make more comics. Plus, I didn't have to read the first comic to understand the jist of this second one, which is really important if you keep this up. Keep them coming! You're doing great!

My good sir!!! I must say, very impressive, and indeed, you have provoked the compititve spirit within me. I must start recruiting! (Hunting through Bricklink that is)
-
Ha! What a unique sigfig! Welcome aboard, we come in peace!

I can definitely see the inspiration from iamded but have to say I do like your version better. Lol, the "little bugger" I like the plated armor angling down, really does resemble a beatle, and what a fearsome missle rack, however, if it's supposed to be an APC then where are the troops and how come there's so much glass in the front? I do like the detailing in the interior though.
-
Just can't beat the classics I suppose. Aliens should stick to just like the insectoids, ya know like minifigs, at the very least. But ya know, if LEGO made something similar to the aliens in Aliens v Predator, I would absolutely love that...or at least tolerate it.

Big Fan of the Drop Pods. Hmm...this just gave me an idea for my mini mecha... ;-)

The egg of course, because dinosaurs are simply ancestors of chickens and since chickens can't *pop* out of nowhere, the egg came first once again....but...who or what laid these egg then? Hmm...
