  1. True, the Mecha genre should be attributed to the Asian culture, and even in MechWarrior there are subtle anime influences, but I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I'm too fond of the organic, flashy, cartoony, raw anime style on Mechs, like Exo-Force. I must admit though, I do like Gundam and Transformers. Now that takes me back to childhood memories when you'd come home from school to watch those shows!
  2. She's a beauty!!! That's one fine ship, the detailing is exquisite, even the underbelly!
  3. The treads and smokestack are just perfect for steampunk!
  4. :-D When I scrolled down to see your second Matador that was a surprise! Very funny and creative! *y* The bull turned out better than I expected from a brick built animal. I think the horns are fine, makes it a bit comical like your Matador. Nice touch with the nose ring.

    Spiral

Wow, excellent transformation. Interesting color scheme too. Maybe you could add some more weapons in there somewhere, I think a space fighter should be a lot more loaded, ya know. Nice username by the way. I'm guessing you saw the movie, it was good! I can definitely tell your a Transformers fan. Lol, it's kind of funny actually, cause today I was wearing a Decepticon T-Shirt with a big picture of Megatron on it!
  6. I've known about this site for quite a long time, the guy's also been running for a couple years too, but now that I'm new to Eurobricks, I'd like to share my find with you. Ultimate LEGO MechWarrior This leads you to the intro page, simply click on his NEWS icon for the latest model built, he (Primus) updates frequently. Oh, and if you speak German, he has both English and German text. Here are other Links to different ares of the site in case you miss them. MechWarrior: Dark Age Black Market If you are a fan of MechWarrior you will abosolutely love this site, especially if you're familiar with the units through the miniatures game. Not only are there Mechs, but Vehicle, Structure, and Infantry units as well. All worth definitely a good look into. Although not all of his models have actually been built, (They're 3D renderings) every model is possible to build. These are the kind of Mechs that I get my insipiration from. Solid Americana. No anime influence like Exo-Force (Sorry, but I just can't stand it! LEGO makes it look so cheapo!!!) That is all!
  7. Holy X-O !!! That's a lotta dang money for one minifig!

    Behemoth!

Thanks for the comments you guys, yeah I got kind of lazy with the head because I just couldn't get it to look right (it still doesn't look good), while at the same time making it fit with the tank mode. There's really not much room to put the cockpit where the head is but I'll try to come up with something. I'm making up for the no visibility with a pretend HUB in the cockpit. But yeah, I'll work on it a bit more.
  9. New MOC for you guys! :-)

    Behemoth!

Finished up a new Mech, this was simply inspired because my friend started to build a transformer and of course I had to match that up. He didn't actually finish his project, but I did. First time building a transforming Mech. Doesn't transform too much, but it's a first attempt, and it's a difficult for such a large Mech. Basically, the treads are legs and fold, and the body hunches while the head can move up and down. The large artillery cannon and the smaller cannon both go up and down. Named him Behemoth because of the Behemoth tanks from Mechwarrior Dark Age, and a Behemoth is a large dragon. Enjoy! TANK MODE MECH MODE
  11. Lucky for me I've just built a transforming mech this week! :-) I'll post my entry later tonight though. I have to go to Youth Group soon.
  12. Thanks for the comments you guys! Yeah I do frown upon the cheap Bionicle joints. Too easy in my opinion. I like making the outer armor and the joint skeleton completely fused together. It gives a more blocky appearance, no skeleton exposed. That's part of the reason why I'm not too fond of the Exo-Force Mechs. It makes mech building too easy and the design cheap.
  13. *sweet* Thanks for the welcome you guys!
  14. I think Renegade instead of Maverick is the better name for that mech. One, the "Ren" part kind of sounds like red, and renegade is literally a bit more evil, and the mech portrays that. Lol, plus I was planning to build my personal mech for my alias MicVash and was gonna name it Maverick! :-P

    WereWolf

Nice Mech! I feel like it should be able to transform. (No pun intended, haha, werewolf) But seriously, it'd be tight if it morphed into an aircraft.
  16. Just built this baby about 2 weeks ago. I hope some of you can see where I got my inspiration from. (Jade Falcons from MechWarrior) Kudos if you do or have played the miniatures game. The attributes behind this Mech is simply quick power. I wanted to give it a muscled look, that's why it has big arms, and the ruffled feathers, a sign of anger, seen in the slopes in the arms. Plus the guns give it the appearance of talons and the joints in the arms makes it look like he's flexing or curling. The big arms also are necessary because of the energy sources they contain to power the jets on them and there is a big master jet in the back. Overall, I wanted to make him look like he's a predator, ready to strike. Mini mecha

My apologies, I didn't realize that. Sorry, Hotshot. But Sinner hit it right on the nose. Those were the sets I was thinking of.
  18. ...I'm a fan of Warhammer 40k and their Dreadnoughts myself... Great job on the mechs, very well made. I personally am very very very against using bionicle pieces though, but at least you tried to cover it up with the armor. I like Mech 1 a bit better just because he's a bit less anime looking and meaner. Lol, I am also not a fan of anime, sorry! (As you can see why I like 40k mechs better.)

    Mini mecha

Please don't not purge the English language with Internet/Messenger Jargon. |-/ But anyways, LEGO did sell a set that included three Mini Mechs, a red, yellow, and green one. Check out their website and products and see if you can find it. It's probably under Creator or something. Also, check out Mechahub.
  20. Hello everyone! I forgot how I stumbled upon this website but what lured me into joining was after reading a bit I got the sense of community here. Afterall, I am in high school and LEGO's are bit...childish if you will. To me, however, and I'm sure for many of you, they are simply an enjoyable hobby that cherishes imagination and design. I enjoy building and wish I had more time and LEGO's to do so. My favorite and usually the only thing I build is Mecha. I have made quite a few mechs in the past and throughout the years I've seen my technique progress quite well. I'm always interested to see what others have to say about mecha design and see their own concepts. The main inspiration of my Mecha is from MechWarrior. No, I haven't played the video games, but I did play the miniatures game (not Battletech), and have boxes of them laying around my room. Anyways, I'm glad to join Eurobricks and plan to develop my alias, MicVash, a bit further in the LEGO community........ Thanks!
  21. The Frenchie is well done, very very nice. You're method is a unique and pleasing look for the minifigs. Aber der Wehrmacht zieht ziemlich kurz.
