Yay! AG is nearly back! I never found time to really build much for it the last time round though, so not sure if I'll bother with it this time or not yet. We'll see... I've noticed all the AG1 posts have been moved in to an archive sub forum, but I don't seem to have permission to look at it. There's still a few builds from AG1 I haven't looked at yet (I'm obviously a slow reader as well as a slow builder...)

Location: C10 - Marden Tags: Land Vehicle Kawashita Engineer's Log - AC - C10 Marden We've returned to Marden to test out a new scout vehicle of sorts. Lloyd sent me files through showing his ideas for a basic surveying vehicle that should work well through the snow, so I approved his project. He's now completed work on it, but I haven't had time to see it until now due to a load of paperwork. I always hated the admin side of being a sub contractor, but it could be worse I suppose. Anyway, Lloyd's finished his project now and where better to test it than Marden's snow plains. The design looks a bit bulky and not particularly subtle, but I'm sure the design can be refined at some point. As you can see, the design of the wheels allows it great manouverability through the snow and the nose on the front houses an all manner of sensor arrays so it can sniff out pretty much anything. If calibrated correctly, it could find a needle in a haystack. I don't see many haystacks on Marden in this snow... and finding a needle isn't exactly a priority either... Bonus content in the spoiler because I found the idea funny;

Thanks for the comments so far. I've never actually played Starfox (had to google it to find out it was a computer game), so I guess my intention to make it look like something that could be in a computer game worked.

Location: E11 - The Fascini Cluster Tags: Military, Vehicle, Spaceship "Mission: Shoot your way through the asteroid belt to separate the required resources while avoiding any asteroids that don't contain any" This'll be easy. New highscore coming up! How many times do I need to tell you to stop playing that game and get on with your work?! I have stopped playing that game. This is a different one. OoC: Been ages since I last posted, so think I've done the tags right.... I built this ages ago, around the same time as the build linked in the conversation AC is having with Lloyd. I was going to work it in to the story as a game that Lloyd was playing, but never found time and we weren't building on a suitable planet for me to use it as a stand alone piece at the time, but it's going here now so that I can finally post pics of it. Below are some more pics of the little microscale space ship showing it from different angles. When I built it I just wanted to try building a microscale spaceship using a minifig jack hammer in the build somewhere and this was the result.

Location: G10 - Onix Tags: Exploration Kawashita Engineer's Log - AC - G10 Onix In our search for a good site on Onix to mine copper where we are out of the way of Octan's bases, we have encountered a number of large insect like creatures. OoC: Black Lego is really difficult to photograph, so ended up giving up with my intended scene because I just don't have the time this week to faff about all day to try and get it right, so I gave up and took these pictures instead. I wanted an insect like design for the main body and ended up with this. The head moves on a click hinge with a Technic pin joint, the mouth can open and close, the wings are also mounted using click hinges with a Technic pin joint. Clicking the pics will take to slightly bigger versions on Flickr.

I've just been looking over Kawashita's credits against the timeline and it appears that some credits were transferred to the wrong person last week. The timeline says "28 Janurali 3816 - Dragonfire transfered 33 Credits to Agent PPJB.", and that seems to match where the credits have gone, but they should have gone to Agent Raven. Thanks in advance for the correction and thanks for the work that you put into this.

Location: F10 - Arium Major Tags: Land Vehicle Kawashita Engineer's Log - AC - F10 Arium Major It was decided that Kawashita needed a greater presence on Arium Major, a planet mostly dominated by Octan. While preogress had been made by other construction crews, we've been sent to an area that hasn't been covered yet. I've come down to survey the area for construction works with Dave and Lloyd using an old Recon Rover. The interior is a bit cramped as most of the equipment is hidden behind the bodywork panelling, but the computer systems do the job okay. The driving cab is a bit more spacious, allowing Dave a good view of where he's driving. He won't be getting a crick in the neck from looking at any monitors all day... HaHa, got the bugger! What was that? Nothing... Didn't sound like nothing to me. You're not playing that game again are you? Kind of. You're meant to be monitoring the data recording. I've almost beat my best score though. More pics in the spoiler below. Parts of it didn't turn out quite how I wanted, especially the back, but I didn't have as much time as I thought I would this week. I think it actually looks slightly better in real life aswell, I struggled a bit with the photos, again due to limited time...

Thanks for the comments so far everyone. Yeah, I thought of that after I attempted taking the picture the first time, but I don'have enough tiles spare at the moment to tile the floor and leave a stud exposed to attach it to. I was hoping no one would notice I'll have to try a better version sometime in the future.

Location: F10 - Arium Major Tags: Building In one of the hold areas of AC's ship, Michelle had been welding together some framework to check that the plans would work before moving on to the final build designs when they reached their destination. OoC: I planned the first image absolutely ages ago, but only just created it now. It didn't turn out as good quality as I would have liked, but it'll do for now. Not posted for ages, so this is a bit of a filler build while I work on a proper model for next week. The framework has also been part of a design idea I started ages ago for an Andromeda's Gates build, but haven't finished it yet. Hopefully the final model that it was intended for will appear at some point though.

Thanks, I think this is my first proper attempt at something like this with slopes. My previous attemp at landscaping like that just used bricks stacked around a few BURPS. Yeah, hope it counts. I didn't have time to build any more this week and I wanted to incorporate Talk Like a Pirate Day somehow. These are my only ones like this, still attached to the sprue. None of the ones I've got from before I was an AFOL are in this condition.

Location: A06 Tags: Exploration ^ I'm not really sure what tags to give this as I don't think it quite counts for any of them really.... I just felt this story had to be done inspired by International Talk Like a Pirate Day yesterday. Please note, the office was featured in my previous entry and should not be judged. AC had called a few members of his construction crew to his office on board his ship to discuss their latest assignment. [Michelle] Lloyd says he'll be here in a second. [AC] Okay. Despite a few setbacks, we've been complemented on the work we've put in so far with Kawashita's plans in Andromeda, but we're not finished yet. At this point Lloyd enters the office. [Lloyd] Ahoy me hearties! [AC] Why on Orinshi are you dressed like that? [Lloyd] It be Intergalactic Talk Like A Pirate Day! So I'm getting into the spirit of things. [Dave] I think you'll find that the 19th of Septembrinali was yesterday. Lloyd removes his hat in disapointment. [Lloyd] Dang. [AC] Anyway.... We're on our way back to Guinevere. We've been asked to do some work on a gold mine that's being set up. Lloyd replaces his hat on his head with enthusiasm. [Lloyd] So we'll be digging up gold and buried treasure! That's close enough to Talk Like a Pirate Day for me! [AC] Not quite, but I'm glad your enthusiastic about it. It's a damned hot planet again and there'll be alot of work involved. They all depart to get prepared for their assignment and Lloyd imagines what it would be like to be an old fashioned pirate digging up buired treasure on Guinevere's deserts. Edit: Just thought I should add a shot of the terrain with no loose parts or Minifig, which is in the spoiler below.

I think changing the pictures from public to private and vice versa changes the URL each time. Can't help with a fix though. I've really liked the stories for your builds. The one before this was funny but this one is really bizzare.

Thanks. It took a bit of work to balance the wrench in place while I took the photo, but I quite like how it came out in the end. Thanks. I think I stole the design for the filing cabinets from someone else, but I can't remember who or where. Sure I've seen the design somewhere on Flickr before. I think the colours turned out nicely in the end aswell. There were a few choices with this build dictated by what parts I had and could actually find. And thanks to Bob or whoever fixed my title.

Location: C10 - Marden Tags: Civil, Building ~~~~~~~~~~~ OoC: Not really sure this really counts for the Civil tag. If not, I'll happily remove it. This build continues after my Challenge 2, Cat C build and occurs before my last weekly build (which was more than a month ago! Blimey, that time's flown by!) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Following the malfunction with the GATE on AC's ship when leaving Guinevere, AC returned to his office, while his engine expert, Dave, made repairs and checked through the engine's data logs to find the cause of the malfunction. Having finished his checks and repairs, Dave headed up to let AC know what he had found. [Dave] You might want to see this. It's some data recorded on one of the monitoring cameras for the GATE. [AC] Couldn't we have pulled it up on the computer digitally instead of coming all the up here with a data card? [Dave] I wanted to make sure we had a seperate copy that can't be monitored virtually, just in case. [AC] Okay, bring it over here and we'll take a look. [Dave] Remember that spanner we found by the engine? It seems that's what caused the problem. [Dave] It shorted out two of the power couplings. Fortunately, the automatic safety systems prevented any major problems and kept things working. [AC] It sent us off course though. We jumped the right number of Gates, but went in the wrong direction. We were due on Terrial Minor, instead we're orbiting Marden. So why did the spanner hit the power couplings in the first place? There wasn't a problem with the artificial gravity on board at the time was there? [Dave] Not that I've been able to find out. I think that someone threw the spanner between the safety bars and got out of the engine room before we got down there. [AC] Intentional damage then? [Dave] Looks like it to me, but I don't know who. There aren't any cameras down there covering the right angle to see. ~~~~~~~~~~~ OoC: I felt that an office would have been painted nice calming colours rather than sticking with the dark Kawashita colours, especially if the spaceship it was on wasn't neccessarily new when it entered the Kawashita fleet. I did try to keep it spacey with an attempt at spacey sliding doors of sorts and the inclusion of the holo screen behind AC. I was also going to build a section of corridor to go outside the sliding door that Dave's standing in front of, but didn't have time for this week. An overall pic is in the spoiler tag below. Please note the image from the engine's monitoring camera is part of my Challenge 2 build with 3 parts added and should not be included in the judging. Comments welcome (although I apologise for not commenting on other peoples builds very often if at all... Some great stuff is happening in AG and I've only just caught up with it all since a couple of months ago...).

Not had this many credits in my hand at any one time before! Will have try and match it next challenge. Credits never last long though in this day and age. Please transfer 70 credits to NuckElBerg.
