In my opinion Regulator is very, very, very powerful. Probably the most powerful class I have QM-ed. Maybe a lot of that comes from Atramor that somehow has managed to pick up some extremely powerful weapons (The unreasonably oddball that is the Pheles Kris(Rod), And the Tiger Claws with it's two great modifiers.) Combine that with some decent artifacts and you are good to go with any class. But still, Regulator is just so good, especially Chaotic Mode. Regulators get to carry Shields as well, which is basically a freebie. Chaotic Mode brings with it Pessimism, which is an EXCELLENT 4-roll. One of the best, if not the best 4-roll around for sure. There's a lot of instances where I would rather have the enemy Jinxed than have an aim or something. Chaotic hit, can be really good or really bad, but I would argue that it would generally be good, as you're hitting a target that you don't need to target. And of course the Free Hit that comes with it is amazing. The Regulator's ability to half an enemy's health on a Shield roll can either be very good or not very good, but it's solid, and it always does something. The Shield Roll is not dependent on existence of ether, elemental immunities or anything. Orderly mode is also good, especially since they have a 2/6 chance to completely ignore any and all Free hits that come the whole party's way. Since a lot of difficulty often comes from dealing with free hits, this is amazing. The unpredictable mode change is supposed to be offsetting some of it strengths, but I feel like that does not work if both modes are amazing. One thing is for sure, Regulator is really, really fun class! Both QM-ing, and from what I gather from CMP, also playing. I don't know. I feel like it's unreasonably powerful, maybe, but I am not a 100% sure because CMP is generally excellent at getting things that are just plain powerful. It's super strong and anyone that is offensive, has access and gear for it and is not being Regulator, is doing it wrong if they're going for strongest character.

I'd say you're probably going to find that with Skrall.

A 1 in 3 chance of a double mixture upon a shield roll I didn't deem very good. I figured, Guts gets to meet a veteran alchemist that has better stuff to give out at some point, right? I was promised special alchemist stuff in Quest 72, so the potion was kind of disappointing. But oh well. That's what you get for writing a letter to a robot/ghost/not-real-person. What I really wanted was the Tome Madame Ladybug had in Quest 72, haha. (Basically it meant that no mixtures with a 1 in it could be rolled, so Shield Rolls would have better stuff. And no explosions)

Oh, sorry, I thought it was an English term as well. Basically to level. as in to smooth.

The Lamp I gave to Smaragda, knowing her penchant for golden artifacts. In return I got back the Beholder's Eye. (I got rid of that for a reason) The Voucher I send to the Masked Man. For which I got a potion in return. I generally got terrible things/luck during that event. Some people get the most overpowered items: Hey Guts, have a bomb. How I loathe some people's take to nivellation...

Some blood has splattered onto the page, some of the papers are ripped apart, and only some things are legible. The first line: There are some names scribbled down at the top of one page, in no particular order: The schedule is quite complex and there are only so many things that can be derived from it, what the heroes can figure out by looking at it: "How is this all supposed to be able to help us?" -

The crate has a bunch of pottery in it. Atramor opts out of taking a nice bowl with him. This time. The papers on the table have no key lying under it either. They seem to be a Guard Schedule. -

The weapons were the ones used by the guards. They are all rusty, worn and generally not worth their weight. The bottles are all empty, except for two, one is filled with sand, and one that is filled with water. "Hmpf. If there is no key, and these guys did not get locked in here by someone, how did they get in?" Huh, apparantly Silver Bars are not a thing. The Silver ore is worth 20 less than the gold ore, so by that logic, the Silver Bar is worth 30 gold. -

Skrall The door to the left is also locked, and doesn't look breakable either. Maxis turns to Skrall. "We seem to be stuck here. Let me see." Maxis ruffles through his pockets. "I've got some gems, but nothing that will get us through either door without causing some massive ruckus. Any ideas? I mean, I could always go downstairs and demand in a high pitched voice to open the doors, but you seem to want this to be a low-key thing." You're right about the Cobra! Not sure how I missed that. the Tunnel Snake joins at the very end of the round, hence why there are no free hits. Ellaria and Atramor The Party: Atramor Gibbin (CallMePie) 31 year old male human Regulator Level 32 *Immune to Fire, Water, Lightning, Wood, Earth, Wind, Light, Darkness, Poisoned, and Doomed* *Negative Effects Last One Round* *Battle Style: Orderly* Power: 52 Defense: 26 Health: 62/62 Gold: 26 Equipment: Pheles Kris (WP: 20, user has a 1/2 chance to generate an Aura, doubling the user's maximum health but drawing all attacks to them, fire, ice, lightning, earth, wind, light, darkness elemental dagger), Robust Shield (SP: 12, shield), Amulet of the Court (Suitable for anyone, negative effects last only one round on the wearer, immune to water, lightning, and wood, accessory), Rat's Hide (Suitable for anyone, SP: 4, backwear), Galactic Armor (Suitable for anyone, SP: 6, +6 max health, immune to fire, earth, wind, light, darkness, and doomed, bodywear), Helmet of Azzurat (Suitable for anyone, SP: 4, immune to poison, headwear) Inventory: Tiger Claws (WP: 15, double WP against humanoids, darkness elemental, dual strike, daggers), Desert Cloak (Suitable for anyone, immune to fire, backwear), Sylvania's Cowl (Suitable for anyone, grants Animal Talk, headwear), Pickaxe, Shovel, Agni Bomb, Grand Potion, Health Core, Mulled Wine, Neutralizer, Phoenix Essence, Smelling Salts, , Scroll of Arc Frailty (50/50 chance to inflict the fragile-effect to all enemies for ether equal to the number of enemies) Smoke Bomb, Silver Bar (worth 30 gold), Bone Ellaria Arbour (Sandy) Party Leader 22 years old female human Druid Level 27.66 *Immune to Sealing, Poisoned and Bleeding* Power: 39 Defense: 7 Health: 43/43 Ether: 5/39 Gold: 78 Equipment: Ignis Fatuum (WP:12, Permanently poisoned for 15, fire- and lighting-elemental staff), Robe of the Archmagi (SP:3, Max Ether +5, protects from sealing; bodywear), Sterile Gloves (immunity to poisoned and bleeding, handwear) Spider Helmet (SP: 4, On hit, passes on all poison, bleeding etc. to the enemy, Headgear) Inventory: Weapons Sylvania's Crossbow (WP:10, wood-elemental crossbow), Pan Flute (WP: 7, instrument), Wizard's Staff (WP:1, fire-, wind-, water- and earth-elemental staff), Artefacts: Tricorne (SP:3, headwear), Ranger's Quiver (WP: +1 to bows and crossbows. If I remember correctly, Zoot's Plaything's are apart from the normal weapon rules, and whatever weapon is made by it can be used by the person forever, no matter the class and only by that person. Basically, you can turn it into anything you want and you would still be able to use it.

Wouldn't the deadly venom have been redundant, as the weapon's standard healing is higher than the applied venom? I figured there is a reason it's permanently poisoned, not +15 poison. Ellaria and Atramor Results of Round 2 of the Breakroom Breakdown Ellaria vs. Ogre Guard - Critical Hit - (12x2 + 27+3 = 54 x 2 encouraged x2 Fragile = 216 damage-80 = 136, no double damage, but no damage enemy is rock + 15 poison) Atramor (Chaotic) vs. Zombie Guard - Pessimism/Pessimism/Pessimism/Chaotic Strike - (random enemy = Gnome Guard, 20 x3 + 31 = 91 x2 Fragile, x2 Darkness, x2 Lightning, /2 Wind = 364-60 = 304 damage, Aura: yes) Atramor (Chaotic) vs. Zombie Guard - Damage/Hit/Shield Internal Conflict/Hit - Atramor now orderly, Zombie Guard health halved. Aura already up. Ellaria vs. Gnome Guard - Hit - 42 x2 Encouraged, x 2 Fragile x 2 Lightning = Gnome Guard dead. Russus vs. Human Guard - Shield Offer they can't refuse - Enemy is at half health or less -> Enemy gets instant killed. Free hits: Zombie Guard vs. Atramor - no damage Ellaria blessed, restores 3 health Two companions down: Enemies get remaining buffs. The party beats back the enemies, Ellaria further poisons the Ogre, and Ellaria and Atramor finish off the Gnome Guard together. Atramor changes his stance, and Russus slices open the Human Guard. The enemies get buffed up, but can not manage to hurt the party as of yet. In the distance, the party can hear the sound of glass breaking. So they do get a chance for every single attack? That's so powerful though, and didn't Hastened Weapons get replaced by dual strike for a reason? Anyway, does it work for the current round or for the next round or for both?

Skrall The door is locked. Nyx and Boomingham: Results of Round 5 of the Sewer Showdown. Boomingham vs. Sewer Cobra - Hit - (9+35 = 44 x 2 = 88 damage + stunned) Nyx uses healing Staff on Self - Counter - heal self to full health Nyx uses healing Staff on Self - Counter - redundant healing. Free hits: -Abe recovers from stunned Nyx choses to respectfully decline using Light Magic, and instead gets up Boomingham, who knocks back the Bone Elemental, then Nyx pulls out the big guns and throws a bomb. Normally I would advise against throwing potent explosives in small, confined areas but this time it seems to be working quite well, as all the snakes wither up and die, not counting the cobra. Sandy, could you please explain how the Pheles Kris (previously Rod) works exactly: I've been rolling it as on hits, but now I hear that it works for failed attacks too? Why is it different from the normal rule, and does it get a chance to be activated for every attack or just one chance per round?
