Heroes, please state your actions, Nyx is also the temporary leader, and should provide the battle order. Skrall, Ellaria & Atramor "I'd tend to agree, I thought you weren't a fan of politics? But they're no slaves." The apple looks and smells fine, albeit a little on the small side.
  3. A Hobgoblin Guard runs right through the door. "What's going on, Mon Key, who these two. Others be here soon." "Don't you see he just grabbed a weapon. What you waiting for, at him!"
  4. The Metasimian gives Boomingham a cold stare: "No one is ever pissed at the great cook. Mon Que" "She doesn't even work here. GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAARDDDDDDDDSSSS!!"
  5. Nyx & Boomingham The cook looks incredibly sceptical and increasingly angry at the two heroes: "Uh, Huh. So how did you go from the Common Room to there?"
  6. Skrall, Ellaria & Atramor "I will not have you turn this place in a slaughterhouse any more. You're not going downstairs." Skrall reads several colorful titles: Such as: The Kama Strivvi, How to train your Killer Rabbit Strivvian Lineages, 2nd edition Alchemist's Cookbook Werefolk Farm Catcher in the Dye He's not sure if any of them will be helpful right now.
  7. I'm really sorry for being super slow. You're definitely getting there, guys, so bear with me.
  8. Skrall, Ellaria, Atramor "Excuse me, I do not speak much Common, I am Christina. Big Muscles, you want special treatment yes?" "The manager, I guess. They're sisters. If you want a job interview, you should find him, he's usually downstairs." "I think kidnapping all of them would be difficult, not to mention suspicious. And I don't want to help in kidnapping possibly innocent girls. Tell me when you've decided on an approach." Nyx & Boomingham "You came from the wrong entrance, boyo, you two have five seconds to come with a better answer before I call the guards of the whole damn place and me and my boys put meat back on the menu."
  9. Nyx and Boomingham "HEY!! What do you two think you are doing in here!?"
  10. It also of course depends on how people communicate their absence. If someone goes on holiday for a week or something and relays this, this will never be a problem. If someone suddenly goes missing, this is something else. For party leaders I'd make a decision between in-character sense and activeness, because an active party leader is generally better.
  11. It's because of the Fields, of course! But those fields, also gave you the levels (amulet) to get over level 40 in the first place. Guts has completed like 11 quests or something and is just level 31. I'm very excited to see what you have come up with, Flipz.
  12. "No clue. "Strikes again" it says, huh... I must have missed the first time. He's targetting a vineyard, so in any case, he's the worst kind of scum. I have no doubt a couple of us will set matters straight."
  13. Nyx and Boomingham Boomingham knocks down the boy. He goes down and out without a sound. There's a drip of blood, but the heroes do not have time for that now, they leave the supply closet and enter a small, narrow corridor. There's a ladder that goes upstairs, and a door that obviously leads to a kitchen of sorts. Which way do they go? Skrall, Ellaria and Atramor Ellaria once again pulls out her compass, and the needle points to... Each of the five girls that bear Zoe's likeness! It quickly changes between them, with no discernable pattern. Even without a hat on, Atramor gathers the same response. Maybe he would have more luck speaking to a specific girl? "It is as I thought, there is some kind of magic going on. Either the mage divided the original into five parts, or changed the look of four girls and brainwashed the original... Or something else entirely... Either way, there is some very powerful magic going on. A trick of this sort is much more complicated than a simple blast of fire or force. It seems we may have several options, you can try to find out who the real girl is, and hope the magic wears off or try to cure it later. You can try to find the source of the spell and try to disable it... Or there's one more option... I can try to cast a large catch-all anti magic spell. It will be powerful and unpredictable, and I can't be sure of the results."
  14. Nyx and Boomingham "You came from the sewer... You can't just. She's not... You're not... I'm going to tell my boss..." The boy starts walking to the door. Nyx starts cleaning herself. Luckily for her, Snake guts wash right off. Skrall, Ellaria & Atramor No one answers Ellaria, all she gets are quizzical stares. "Hm. Interesting.... Involved you say? I wouldn't dare. Although in turn for helping you, Garlin has offered to listen to a request of mine. As fellow heroes, I expect you'd do the same? But, for that, I'd need to proof myself first... I suspect, if one of the four similair looking girls is your target, there might be magic involved, I did sense something when we came in. Miss, could you try that compass again?"
  15. "Well, I'm just so glad it fits your interests. Maybe we can make the trip together sometime. I'm only mostly not allowed back... I'm terribly sorry, but I'm going to have to leave you, I saw one of our possible Questmates just sign up." Guts walks back down the stairs, and greets Actaeon. "I'm Guts. You're new, I presume?"
  16. Nyx & Boomingham "But... But... This is... This is just the supply closet.... It's liquid soap in the bottle.... I.... I... I... Should get my boss..."
  17. Well... It should be!
  18. Quest 34 is a good, short quest to read.
  19. Oh, sorry, I thought it was so. The heads just look incredibly similair and possible for the same thing to me.
  20. As for the race thing. LOTR's Uruk Hai and Orcs minifigures are Hobgoblins in the Heroica universe.
  21. It is allowed. I'm sure there's a post in the theater for what I'm about to say, but anyways. That it is allowed, does not make it a good idea. First of, there are many, many out there. Needing a side character is in a lot of cases you saying you either need yourself to play off of instead of others, or just generally you feeling your character is not strong enough to be there on his or her own, and you need a second personality. It is basically the same as having a character with a split personality. It seems cool, at first, until you realize that it's been done a thousand times before and is not particularly interesting for others, as it is for yourself. Instead of going with a companion or something, try to make your character someone that doesn't need one to stand out. Personally I am not that impressed by side characters/companions, whatever. Comic relief characters, playful/devious/stern/moral pets are boring. If you want a contrasting partner, make nice with another player! That's about a thousand times better, again, in my opinion. There are some exceptions. If the companions come from the QM, I (am more inclined to) like them. Thotwick's Hoptet is the only real example for that I THINK, and is cool as a result. But Thotwick is still a character of his own and can stand alone and not feel incomplete. I also really like Atramor's McCaffery. It helps that McCaffery only shows up only so often, too.
  22. It's an effect, so yes. When Guts rolls a four, Pretzel would be dancing too. Either that or Pretzel has a chance on a four to be dancing too. Either one. QM's discretion. Maybe.
  23. Skrall, Ellaria & Atramor Ellaria uses the key to open the next door, they enter a bright room. That resembles some sort of bathhouse... "So... Which one is this Zoë?" What do the Heroes want to do?
  24. No one has done it, so let me be the first to welcome you to Heroica, Microdragons! Just a small heads up, you might want to head over to the Embassy. Uruk-Hai are (as far as I know) not a race in the world of Heroica. But your character could definitely by a hobgoblin for example!
  25. May I once again offer my services?
