Heh thanks! It is cool that you went along with it, I think! Guts is the kind of guy that relies on preparation, so he likes to know what he is getting himself in to. He is also very distrustful .

"Alright then." Guts started to help clear rubble, and dig around with his shovel, all while keeping an eye on Sorrow.

Guts walks up to one of the skeletons, and crushes the brittle skull with his boot. "They are done for, Dak. And I don't need to hear your life story right now!" Grabbing Dak by the shoulder, Guts subtly whispered some words in his ear. "Sorrow is the real enemy here, Dak, bear with me."

"Enlighten me on one more thing then, tell me everything you know about the Darkstar."

"Shush, boy. We are not going forward until I get some answers. This is a mine, possible threats come from two directions, from outside, or from further in, we cannot get ambushed if we stay here." Guts did not have the patience to deal with the eager Dak right now. Guts knew he meant well, but this needed to be cleared up, before they moved forward.

"I am not the same as you, woman. I, for one, do not care too much about killing innocents. And I do think they were referring to you." Guts sighed, he was not a 100% certain he was right, but Sorrow was obviously not telling them the whole story. Now would be a better time than ever to get some awnsers. "It was obvious from the start that you are hiding things from us, Sorrow. A magical gem that sucks colour and lifeforce from its vicinity and a mysterious pale woman that wants us to retrieve it? Hardly a coincidence, I would say." Still with the cutlass in his right hand, Guts now stood directly in front of Sorrow, the tall woman being around the same height as him. "Tell us, why did you need US to help you out? You are obviously an user of magic, I saw how you picked our names, back in the hall. Also, I doubt the Ziegfried Family would employ you, if you were'nt. Yet, we have not seen you fight, why is that? You seem to know a lot about the dark 'power' of this gem, yet you have not given us a single word on what we are supposed to deal with." The rogue was annoyed by the continued silence of the mysterious woman, something was... off about her, and Guts would be damned if he did not find out what it was.

"More important things? I doubt it. The undead mentioned a 'she' and a 'choice'. As far as I know, you are the only woman around that choose something, you choose us, to find the 'Darkstar'. The dead guy also said you were waiting... Tell us, 'Sorrow', what ARE you waiting for?"

Guts froze as the skeleton uttered the words they all heard, turning his head to Sorrow, he said: "Start Talking, Sorrow. What did the undead mean." Showing no direct sign of hostility, the masked rogue kept his new sword loosely in his hand, Sorrow was not telling the party something, and this was the time to sort it out.

Quick tip for Darth Nihilus and Bioniclover, if you stand in the back row, you will only get half the damage from the skeleton's special, it is not like our weapons can hurt it anyway.

As Guts looked up at the skeleton before him, a feeling of disorientation suddenly comes over him, did they not defeat this skeleton already? Blaming his confusion on the Darkstar, Guts tightened the grip on his sword, and got ready to attack the Skeleton from the back row. Ooc: Because that is smart.

I have never roleplayed before, but I must say that I really enjoy thinking up a backstory for my character, I think I have thought up quite a good one, it is quite epic. Maybe Ill show hints here and there, Also, I enjoy the backstories of the other heroes and the interaction that brings. Keep it up, people!

Guts almost froze completely when the skeleton uttered those words, as soon as the battle was over, it seemed they would need to have a little chat with someone. Focussing once more on the remaining creatures, Guts got ready to attack the Black Scorpion from the front row.

More evil animals, and now there was the undead to deal with, perfect. Guts got ready to attack the Spider from the front row (with Mockthril Cutlass)

Ooc: I will state in the battle what weapon I use, if I do not specify, I think I use the first in inventory, so Cutlass. (I assume that if I do not use the poisoned weapon in the next battle it will stay poisoned? "Calm yourself, Dak." Guts said calmly as he grabbed the dagger from the half-elf's hands. Holding the weapon with two fingers at the pointy tip, Guts explained: "This 'knife' as you call it, is a dagger, it is not made for throwing, if you keep doing that, the blade will dull, or it will break. Also, it is not properly balanced, for throwing at least, and it will not spin very well, which will make hitting your target very hard." With a quick toss the dagger landed back in the hands of the young rogue, handle in hand, blade pointing to the ceiling. Not quite mocking, Guts continued "I suggest you use that thing for stabbing people, or evil animals."

"Nah Dak, the money should go to Gorg and Knifk, as they paid for the medicine, remember?" Guts hands 5 gold pieces to both Gorg and Knifk.

Guts nodded his thanks to Nerwen, and tried a few practice swings with his new sword, careful not to hit anyone in the confined space. The balance of the blade was good, and while it was not quite Strivvian Dark Steel, it would have to do. "I will try digging around with my new shovel"

Guts looked at Sarick, with a grin hidden behind the facewraps, he said: "I am not sure if I should be scared or be bursting out in laughter, Scaly." Looking at the weapons, Guts said thoughtfully: "This looks like an awful large amount of weapons for a simple mine, were the miners expecting danger? Or do these belong to whoever or WHATever lives here now, if so, it means it uses weapons, and that means, that we can kill it." With a determined look in his eyes he added: "I would like the Cutlass, as I said before, I also would not mind the shovel."

Preparing for what might be up ahead, Guts poisoned his blade with venom.

Guts had looked at Dak's outburst with a slight hint of compassion, but this was not the time, nor the place. It was obvious the young half-elf had this bottled up inside him for some time, maybe it was not just the poster, but also the power of the Darkstar, that led to this outburst. Guts grabbed the rogue by the shoulders and dragged him up his feet. "Yes, boy. You are a Hero. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. We can not have you like this, Dak. I understand this must be hard for you, why? I do not know, and frankly, it does not matter. Fact is, we are in a dark mine, where there is obviously dark magic at work, we need you on our side."

Guts could not help to smile when he saw the gold ore, he had a thing for gold, as all rogues have. "This was not a natural encounter, dogs, snakes, bats and dragons do not fight together. There is magic at work here." Grumbling he added: "Damn magic-users. Why did I sign up for this again?" Ooc: Idea for picture?
