  1. I am going to try and see if I can build something for this challenge, havent been active here, but just wanted to say, that the towers you guys have made are really cool! My embassy will be located in Nocturnus, im thinking.
  2. With a discerning eye, Guts said: "I say one could get around a thousand gold for this treasure, it seems to be in good condition, although golden items are not my speciality..." Looking at Nerwen, Guts spoke: If we do this the democratic way, I say we let them walk away. I value the general's word that he will leave Uland." Whispering, so only the party could hear him, Guts added: "I am going to go with them, to keep an eye on them. If they show any sign of corruption, Ill slit their throats in their sleep." Thoughtful, the rogue finally said: "Granted that they do sleep, that is. If not, I will have to improvise."
  3. If they ever meet in the hall, Guts will need to have a little chat with Haldor...
  4. Guts sighed at Dak, he shaked his head and said: "What is this? An actor's convention?" He spat on the floor in front of Dak, and continued: "You and I have diferent definitions of a 'rogue'. It is about getting the job done, in any way, sure, that is the philosophy of the classic rogue. But if you are just here for personal gain, maybe you should join a gang, instead of Heroica." Turning his head back to the general, Guts said: "I can not help but notice that you have not fully answered my question, general. What do you plan to do now? And were would we go, if I would join you?"
  5. Guts thought deeply about what just happened, they were lied to, that much was clear. He had been right, it gave the rogue a slight feeling of amusement. Sorrow, or Sorona, as she was called by the giant man, did not want to bring the Darkstar to the Ziegfrieds, nor was she working for them. Instead, the Darkstar... sustained? this man? Guts was'nt a fan of necromancy, but he did'nt have anything against it either. Ennoc, with it's crusades against the undead could fall from the heavens, for all he cared. Fact was, that the power of the Darkstar was bringing harm to the village, and it would likely harm everyone and everything that would be in its vicinity. Letting Sorona and the man... general Haroka.. go, would be risky, what if everywhere they went, the same thing would happen as in this mining village? Haroka and Sorona... they seemed to have something together, Guts could respect that, Sorrow obviously went through a lot to get to this point, but what if it was just about the gem? the Darkstar? The general... In life he had been a tyrant, a conqueror. He had been powerful thanks to the Darkstar, the very same he had on him now. Resurrected, what would stop him from doing it all again? Perhaps the most curious thing of all was that the couple had offered the rogue to join them, and the rest of the party to walk away. They had offered him the chance to 'learn'. Guts had no intention of learning magic, so what would it be... These thought clouded the mind of the man with the headwrap, it was a dilemma, Guts did'nt mind letting Sorona and Haroka walk away, but not with the Darkstar. Finally, Guts decided to confront the couple. He chose his words carefully, as it was obvious they were dealing with powerful people. "What is it, what you plan to do, if we let you go? Also, I recall we were offered a reward, I assume we will still receive it?" After a few seconds of silence, Guts added: "What will become of the village outside? They are innocent, except in that they dug too deeply, and perhaps greedily, and breeched your tomb, Haroka."
  6. Ooc: I think I know the specific action you mean, but I want loot first :P Guts tries digging with his shovel.
  7. Guts turns his head to Gorg, the barbarian. He had an idea to get the sword, it might just work... "Gorg, can you smash the statue's arm?"
  8. Ooc: Back in the croc's den I digged, did that get me anything? Guts rolled his eyes, almost silently, he said: "Hate to say I told you so, but..." Guts glanced at the weapon, the sabre looked ancient and crude, but the edge seemed sharp, still. The blade of the sabre was broad, and it was well crafted, it would be a good weapon for a good warrior. His eyes shifted to the other statue, it was wielding a similair weapon. It would be valuable to have one of these swords in the hands of both Knifk and Dak, so perhaps he could try to take it. Guts picked up a piece of rubble, that seemed to weigh as much as the sword would, and walked towards the stone thing. Before he took any action, he inspected the statue, specifically, the amount of dust on it, any sign of cracks or weakness, and if the weapon was stuck in the statue's hand, or could possibly be removed
  9. Without saying a word, Guts walks up to the door, and forms the following pattern: X X O O O X X X X O O X X X O
  10. Rumble, I just noticed, there is a difference between the picture and the pattern you put out, the gem in the middle on the bottom row is not there in the pattern, but it is in the picture, am I missing something?
  11. With a tired look in eyes, Guts looks at the door, and decides to do nothing, for the time being. Instead he says: "Remember the note, it spoke about a 3, I may be wrong, but I think that may be the key to opening this door." With a slight smirk, invisible to the rest of the people in the mine he added: "The pun was not intended."
  12. I think Dak might be colorblind, did'nt he try to set the gems up in a rainbow pattern earlier.
  13. Guts, still coughing a bit from the fight with the gigantic crocodile, spewed a small amount of blood on the floor in front of him. Guts sighed, he was getting too old for this shit, he knew it, and even the young Dak knew it, it would seem. Looking at the now dead reptile, Guts wondered how such a being had lived down here in the dark, damp mine, and also how it had grown as large as it had. But it did not matter, they were not here to learn more about the local fauna. In fact, the matter as though why they were here, was still unresolved. Before moving onward, Guts decided to dig one more time, to see if there was any more treasure, perhaps from the beast's earlier victims. Also, Guts would like to get some rest, using his bedroll. Ooc: Can he? Edit: I wrote this before I saw your last post, rumble, can these actions be done in the last area?
  14. Alright, I understand. I think the QM should be okay to play the battle out if there is one enemy with low health remaining AND no one in the party is in danger of being knocked out in the following round. But that is just my opinion.
  15. Wow i think this battle might be the one with the most uses of the rogue's Mug ability. On another note, can we not just let the battle play? the guy has 4 health left...
  16. Guts, after performing yet another failed attack, looks down and sees blood dripping through his shirt, the beast had wounded him previously, it would seem, With one hand covering his stomach to stop most of the bleeding, and a determined look in his tired eyes, Guts runs towards the big monster, once more raising his Cutlass, the rogue attacked from the front row.
  17. Guts believes that the gods exist, but that they are useless to mortals and that there is no point in dealing with them. On another topic, I made some progress on my thought of designing my own quest, Sandy, Ill PM you as soon as I take some more pics.
  18. I must say that I like the approach you describe, Sandy, because it leaves a lot of room for interpretation by characters and npc's, but I would like to know how Zoot falls into this, no offense to anyone, but was'nt it the point of him in Quest 7 to be 'brought back' or 'resurrected' or something like that?
  19. I think it would actually be pretty cool to know what the gods are that the clerics follow, we know it from some, but defenitely not all.
  20. Guts attacks the beast from the front row.
  21. "Come at me, Croc!" Guts prepares for yet another attack from the front row.
  22. "Enough is enough! I have had it with this megablocking lizard in this megablocking mine!" Once again, Guts stepped forward to attack the beast from the front row.
  23. "Slight problem. Let's kill it." Guts took his cutlass out of its sheath with care, and moved into position to attack the Giant Crocodile from the front row.
  24. Guts is so badass that he would kick that rock monster in the face and continue digging.
  25. I don't know what to say
