    A no longer valid attack usually gets redirected to the first untargetted enemy, doesn't it? Guts spends 1 turn shrugging of his stun, the other attacking the Baby Worm head A with Rapier, the Body A with Mythril's Edge. "I don't know, Dyric. We save Daneeka. Then we figure it out."

    "He hasn't destroyed it. It's a trick. The plan is the same. We save Daneeka, we kill Zane." Guts folded his arms as if that were the end of that. "You really think he was telling the truth Dyric? About them summoning the worms. They're the court of demons, know that summoning and controlling are not the same thing."

    "Maybe he's lying." Calamity suggested. Double checking if she indeed had the leaf or not. "I reckon this thing is pretty valuable. I reckon having a flame for a head rules you out of a 'normal' job to make some money."

    A small note, written in a terribly correct hand, reaches Father Grogmas. It seems more like a shipping manifest than a wishlist. Keliim the Cruel. Ironwood Club. A large piece of a rare grey tree, it seems less carved from a chunk of wood, than found and then merely improved. The grip is wound with red leather. The weapon's power is 14, and has a 1/6 chance to petrify the target. Club. Nerwen Calmcacil. Wind Thief Earring. A tiny, intricately carved wooden figurine of a ship, dyed grey and silver, on a silver pin. The wearer is Nimble, and immune to being Confused. Headwear. Dyric Rone Armour of the Royal Assassin. A supple black dragon-leather chestpiece, studded with rings of Darksteel and plates of stained silver for added protection. Surprisingly light despite it's protection. Grants 11 defense and grants the wielder immunity from all AoE damage send towards the party. Bodywear. Hoke Ablesword Spellcaster's Battle Regalia. A light metal chestpiece that is integrated in a colorful robe. The fabric is dark red from one angle, and rich purple from another. Grants 10 defense, and if an enemy is hit by a spell they are immune to, they are instead hit by a normal weapon hit. Bodywear. Hybros Renegade's Belt. A gold- and silver-thread decorated sash of a thick dark weave, with a golden buckle engraved with two golden eyes. Attached are two adjustable sheaths meant for a Marauder's dual weapons. Grants an extra two free actions in the first round of combat. Accessory. Lind Whisperer Soap. Coarse soap that will clean, and redden the skin for days afterward. Restores full Health when consumed, but poisons them for 5. Consumable. Why would you consume it.

    I think this comes back to something that has been discussed before. Surely that guy could name himself father of dragons, other dragons could call him father of dragons, but that doesn't mean that all dragons in this game have to call him the father of dragons or even acknowledge him. The Heroica world is very much a place of tales and magic. We've seen other worlds, timetravel and alternate realities, who knows what is true and what isn't. This is doubly true for dragons, where there is absolutely no unified consensus about growth, intelligence etc, which in the game results that very little is certain knowledge about them!

    “Medusa and the bandits they send after us are dead, or soon will be. you will be joining them if you don't tell me where Daneeka is.“ Guts says to the remnants of the court. Guts attacks Zane with both weapons from the back row, twice.

    "Yes, I have those things." Calamity says grudgingly. "Portal magic isn't as easy as you make it sound."

    "My hair brushed your tree's leaves, Boggy. His hair is fire. Your tree would be ash, if you had allowed him to climb you and gather his leaf. But, I reckon he doesn't care. We should leave."

    "We found this one first, and he chose to allow me to gather his leaf. Surely it's up to me what to do with it? Mister, I've touched your face, and burnt my fingers. This herb, it's useless except for when it's whole. How do you think you will use it? You can't."

    "And what do you know about Bogossus migrating, they are big, bulky and carry trees around, how far do you reckon they are from here. Days, hours? Surely not worth ruining it for everyone."

    Calamity waves at the Bogossus, when she feels far enough away so that he and his tree are a safe distance from the fire-man and any wayward spells, she looks at her employer and the intruder, who she adresses. "There's other Azureleafs out there. You had no idea how quick you would find one, so go find another one. If you attack us, it will just burn up or get damaged and be useless."

    "I think we should move this situation somewhere else. The Bogossus wanted to help us, and I think it would be rude to involve him into our struggle." Calamity smiled at the Bogossus. Shielding the Azureleaf with her body, she starts moving away from the creature.

    “Then how about you start telling us why you want it."

    "Wow, that's so generous! Do you think you'll let me climb up your leg and then up the tree, so I can cut the azureleaf out? If at all possible, we would like to get the leaf whole so we can make a cure with it."

    "We are looking for an azureleaf. Do you maybe want to trade something for one?"

    "I thought you said he was like you?" "Opposites attract?"

    "True, but ignorance and intolerance are much worse things to carry around. And less useful for hitting people." Calamity says, almost regretfully.

    Calamity responded by scowling at the boy. "You are a bad person, Lind."

    "So Jenny, can we go? I'd rather be inside Flavius' house looking at his work than here in the rain." Calamity rolls her eyes at Lind. "I'm a Death Mage now? I'm far from a necromancer. Heroica has some, but not me. It's difficult stuff."

    "Eat it, huh." Calamity gulps at the unappetizing goop in her hands, and slowly but surely drains it until there is nothing left. As she licks a finger, she remarks: "Tastes weird. Very bland."

    Calamity looks skeptically at the pile of goop Pretzel scoops into her hands. "What am I supposed to do with this?"
