Heroica RPG - Quest #139: Around the World (West)
Scubacarrot replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Guts wondered if they had not just have traded in one group of psychos in favor of another. One problem at a time. The marauder drinks a Mead, Smelling Salts and Nostrum. "It's called advancing in a different direction."- 603 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest #140: Requiem for a Machine
Scubacarrot replied to CMP's topic in The Heroica Archive
Calamity mutters a hundred curses under her breath before turning to Avina. "I tried. Stupid armoured oafs, can't see pas their own shoulderpads. If they get buried here, at least they have four layers of padding, invincible, yeah right. I'm going to die, I'm so dead."- 559 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest #140: Requiem for a Machine
Scubacarrot replied to CMP's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Our job is to deal with him. He's already decided he wants to kill every hero, thanks to you, how long until he decides to kill everyone else he doesn't like? You've heard his logic. I'm not going to get buried here, this girl made her choice, and we can't let him get away." Calamity looks to Avina and Keliim for support. She starts to gather energy in the palm of her hand, perhaps it would be a quicker death than being buried in the rubble. "She trapped herself here, facing almost certain death, and you think she's smart enough to know where the bug would flee to next? Come on, Keliim." Calamity discharges her spell in an empty wall next to the heroes in frustration, she turns away, and mutters something in disgust. "I like you better when you are beating people up, not trying to save the pretty princess from the tower, in this case the princess is a kobold child and your reward isn't the night of your life and a kingdom but a failed quest. Heroica RPG - Quest #140: Requiem for a Machine
Scubacarrot replied to CMP's topic in The Heroica Archive
Calamity ponders the situation for a bit. Then says softly: "I'm with Avina on this one. If Wally goes underground, all will be for nothing, and we'd have to start again. We have a job, you know." The mage plants her staff firmly down, and adds, a bit louder: "It's not just your decision, Mortimer. I'm not about to be buried down here. We're leaving, and getting the little maniac."- 559 replies

Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 2
Scubacarrot replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Private Carla, that attitude of yours seems quite scummy to me. You are extremely defensive and hostile, trying to power through the suspicion against you. It is a tactic I am intimately familiar with. I still see it as a leap in logic that you would assume the scum could choose who kills, and you seem to be just discarding the possibilities that the strongarm thing could be a copy/paste thing or even a red herring. Also, could you put your name in your signature, it's making me have to scroll all the way up to vote for you, ugh, effort. Vote: Carla Riddle (Dragonator) -

I don't understand your leaps in logic at all. Submitting the kill and the mentioning of a strongman does not make it seem likely that the scum can choose who kills, to me at least. I think it is possible you slipped up. Or perhaps you could explain it to me better? I'm deciding between voting for you and for Private Walters, who seems very wishy washy. -

Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 1
Scubacarrot replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No, I feel like you're misrepresenting the facts, how would a watcher have a better chance of figuring it out? This whole scenario relies on a great many if's, but here is what would actually happen: the result for the tracker would be: A targetted B, B ended up dead, A is likely the scum killer since they targetted B. Of course A is going to claim cop. Why wouldn't they? Of course there is a chance it is the actual cop, but what's the chance of that? A watcher's result would be: targetted A, B and C came for a vist, A ended up dead. We have no way to figure out which person did it, one is the scum killer, the other might be a scum blocker or the cop or another sort of scum role. I feel like with a cop and a tracker, the game becomes much more a process of elimination before the scum kill enough townies, on top of your normal mafia figuring it out what have you, instead of a watcher which is more suited to a standard protect your townblock type of deal. -

With the amount of people we have, I think any real plan to keep our Cop alive in the instance they do find scum is probably not of too great value. But that's just me. -

Guts tosses 30 coins the were-bat's way for the map. "I think we should be off, the sooner we run into this Soul Sucker, the less people it'd have killed before we get it to it." The marauder said it, not without sarcasm. He just knew that they would run into Captain Iceborn, Marga, an assassination plot, this supposed demon, or a combination of them on the wasteland. Sheer logic demanded it.- 603 replies

Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 1
Scubacarrot replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Less risky how? Vote: Cop Vote: Tracker I'm not so sure there would be a strongman, but even if there was not, the blocker has a chance to be unhelpful (by blocking the cop), and the doctor has a chance to protect scum. With the tracker, at least the person that is assigned the role can know if someone is vanilla or scum/town PR. I'm assuming there would be two scum, three seems like too much, and I think it's probably fair to assume both would have a role. Watcher seems marginally less useful than tracker, as the tracker has a chance of being more useful as days go by, while the watcher seems more random all the time, especially with the inability to work together in private. Obviously the person that is the cop should not speak out unless they found scum. And possibly when a townie they investigated as such is being lynched. Something just occured to me. So, Cop seems like the best of the possible roles by a landslide, but what if one of the scum is a Godfather? Is that even possible? -

I think it could be the opposite. I think we get 1 lottery. -
Scooby Doo Mafia: All Fired Up - Day 1

Wouldn't it work as following: two PRs are decided, they are now the town PRs for the rest of the game? Nothing tells me there would be a lottery every day. Doctor would be useful in the scenario where the Cop finds scum and calls them out, after which they are out in the open, I guess, but it has 1 day at least where it's basically a useless role. (or a 1/7(probably) protect from the scum kill, if you'd like)
