  1. never heard before, but most appropriate.
  2. Thank you!
  3. Thank you @icm no doubt with different colours, and windows, it could be a perfect medieval tower. We don't get much pirate sets either, so I'm specializing in "converting" other themes sets in pirate ones, an idea that ocurred me while apreciating @The Readerexcelent adventurers mods.
  4. Set 76447 Hogwarts™ Castle: Flying Lessons is perfect for a caribbean outpost, wich led to a "what if" story: Barracuda Bay wasn't deserted when captain Redbeard and his pirates merry men where shipwrecked. It had a small settlement (José's Inn) and an outpost to enforce the imperial rule. The imperial guards at Fort Parrot met a swift dismise followed by a thorough pillage sweep up. I decided to maintain the playability of the original set, excelent for photographie purposes It has a small office and a dungeon: Two large rooms ideal for banquets, pirate lords meetings and G8 congresses, okay its the same, and they need to clean that mess:
  5. No, but I'm interested in this topic because you are searching for a solution for a problem that doesn't exist, but the solution may be a pandora box with the potential of creating a real problem, and that worries me.
  6. Because by now only option #4 supporters are participating, the vast majoraty doesn't want mixed subforums and already said it. Totally agree with @danth
  7. I have no problem with option#2, I just don't want to have to be permanently skiping and dodging irrelevant topics and answers. Eurobricks as been part of my daily routine, I thank all the Admins/Mods for their extraordinary effort in keeping this space interesting and functional, a special thanks to the mighty @Mister Phes for the excelence of the Pirates sub-theme wich is my favorite. Also thanks to all those mocers and moders for sharing their lego works of of art.
  8. Once there is already at least one Lego foum you could say: "Where one door closes, another one may open - if enough people feel the same, a new "dedicated to the "other" brands only" slow-paced forum may be started by anybody who would like to invest himself in such with time, efforts and money, right?! I would wish this person the best luck and all the best for their plans!
  9. No, just "filter us out". This is getting nasty. I voted, shared my opinion/personal preference, no point in staying in this topic.
  10. Same here. I'm getting the feeling we are being pushed to option #4 like it or not.
  11. And in a true polite way I give you that. Anyway, a forum isn't a democracy and a poll isn't an ellection.
  12. A democratic society should be built on the will of the majority, not on 14,10% imposing their emotional approach on others This!
  13. "Apples and oranges" I would hardly join a generic brick forum.
  14. We are talking about plastic not people, people are always welcome at a lego forum to talk about lego.
  15. I voted #1 but can live with #2, the important is that everything that is clone, sets, moc, whatever, stays under the same "umbrella" and no one has to open it.
  16. On the contrary, if knockoffs already have a "home" forum theres no need change this, to each is own. You prefer, but the poll tells that be big majority (me included) don't.
  17. Agreed! That woiuld be an abomination, and its again option #4 in a new disguise, and #4 is the least voted, whats the point of the poll? By now we should only be discussing #1 and #2. But I'm affraid we are opening a pandora box and sooner or later #4 will rule and this forum will be polluted with knockoffs everywhere.
  18. Yes, same as for sets, above all don't mix lego with knockoffs, keep the actual struture and open a new theme "knockoff brands" and if there is enough interest sub-themes "brands" "sets" "mocs" whatever, wich I doubt, if there was interest they would already had a forum of there own. Disclaimer, apologies for my poor english, its not my native language.
  19. In the single category of knockoff brands, otherwise its #4 and the end of the forum as we know it.
  20. 40908 Restaurants of the World: Greece may be easily converted from mediterranean to caribbean.
  21. Great build! truly reminds Jean-Léon Gérôme paintings. Love the arena, the minifigs, the photos. Supported!
  22. My God, its full of stickers! But its way more playable than Enterprise D set.
  23. Maybe they will rotate to medium azure baseplates...
