Altough my favorites are Chihiro and Mononoke I belive Howl's Moving Castle could be an amazing set.

Agreed! That would be my first choice, but I don't know if they are as popular in America as they are in Japan and Europe and that may influence TLG choices.

Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
Siroco replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
True, Interstellar Spaceship is a beautiful modernized version of 918 Space Transport full of printed pieces (and no stickers!) at a fair price. Call it City, Space, whatever, its Sci-Fi and I love it! -
Interesting fact, a quick Bricklink search for the Vending Machine minifigs revealed that the space and knight ones are way more expensive than the pirate ones (the others are worthless). Does this means that there are more castle and fans than pirates? Or just that they tend to army build much more than us? Speaking for myself I prefer diversity and usually just buy one or two more to populate the BSB and the bay. (ex. Cecília (aka cmf20 pirate girl, the orange BaM pirate etc.)

Brick built sails... 1,074 pieces, what do you think, maybe 3 minifigs?
-
Again Spooky AND Pirates, why can't we have JUST Pirates sets? Not to mention the restrictive availability of gwp sets.
-
That is the only thing worse than fleshies, mixing lemon heads with fleshies. But this is the unpopular opinions topic, so anything goes and I wouldn't dare to say that your opinion is more unpopular than mine.
-
There are exceptions, BAM Pirate Dreamzzz is very useful for pirate theme Wathever the theme fleshies are the most useless of all.

And if you want a quick and simple fort here's an idea: The Orangecoats took over the Imperial Cannon -

Nice ship! If you need more crew this could be a good option: -
6285 - Black Seas Barracuda -> small modifications.
Siroco replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Pirates
You certainly improved the old Barracuda, I too love the Redbeard comics. Do you also have the 2020 Barracuda? Beautiful ship and with a closed deck -
One more year without pirate sets...

Excelent book! better than Artemis and maybe even better than The Martian. Curious to see how they will make the "spoiler character" not an easy one in film or lego.

42691 Garden Restaurant might fit in a Nassau/Port Royal diorama, with modifications of course.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 29. Rumors and discussion
Siroco replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
True, pirates and imperials are also a mishmash and nobody complains, and thats how it should be, the thin ice begins when, or if, they try to "autentically" represent a culture. Its only a toy in a fantasy world. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Siroco replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Is that supported by any data source or just a perception? Because the few I know find them useless. -

We also had enough of costume minifigs and yet they keep coming -
Might be useful:

I wish ALL lego sets would have printed parts, rather than lame stickers.

Maybe this speed buil helps: Aldi Toylino
-
Aldi has just launched a complete pirate line under their own brand, Toy Lino, with a big ship (39€), fort, island, tavern etc. all we would like Lego to do. In Portugal they are selling like hot breads, and without minifigs! I'm still a purist so I wont buy them, but how can a supermarket do it and Lego keeps ignoring us Toy Lino - Little Pirate Island - Aldi - 160pcs
