I have reservations about the new model, i loved 42111 despite all its flaws, but some aspects of the 42111 are not the same in the new model, as anyone who owns 42111 would confirm if you own it you know from memory how to reassamble the front trim as it is not very sturdy. I am conflicted about the new tires as i loved how the wide tires from 42111 fit, but the new models tire choice is also very fitting. I prefer the body on 42111 as it looks cleaner (less choppy) and better rounded. also not having a wheelie stand is very disapointing it makes the model more entertaining Side note

I'm sorry to say, I am very disappointed, it kinda sucks. I mean some of the body looks better than 42111 but the amount of stickers used is a huge turn off the hood styling is wacky and I don't see a wheelie stand. I will admit I do find the wheelie stand on 42111 useless but its the thought that counts, right? and the front barrette on 42111 is really annoying because of how brittle it is, but it still looks better. Overall I feel disappointed in this model. P.S. When did we get those new cylinders? Have I been living under a rock and just not noticed them before now?

@Shorjok Thank you sooooo much, I have always wanted an air tank for Legos very similar to this one, but I have never been good at 3D modeling so could never quite make one good enough to work, this one though... it will work very well, and now I have to fix my 3D printer so that I can print one. I will post a pic when I make it. PS. Can I try to remix this to add more pinholes on top?

Not to be negative but this set is kinda lame I agree with @Lipko it doesn't look very nice as a model, and although it is a cool idea I don't feel it quite hit the mark, 42179 was open and you could see inside it that was fine, but this set could use to be less blocky, although it is a great idea, and I don't want to insult whoever worked hard to make this model, it could have been done better. I personaly love the cars, that's why I love Technic but I try to support other branches of technic like this, I guess I am not supportive enough, but I feel there is nothing wrong with not liking this its not that you have bad taste @Lipko.

Same!!!!!!!!!!!! I have organizer bins, but after taking stuff out and assembling things... I'm too lazy to disassemble them and put parts back in the bins... then when I need a part that I don't have many of I have to look through ever single bucket of legos I have... "where'd I put it again???". this is why we monthly teardown all idle builds in sight!

So who is too curious for their own good and bought it already? Hopefully upon its arrival I will not regret my decisions... hoping for good piece quality, no weak spots no brittle corners... Cheers to anyone else who is buying it to test quality.

@Paul B Technic Piece count? Dimensions? Instructions? Understandable. For the longest time I didn't have differentials that weren't in a kit but now I have a few hundred, plastic, metal, carbon fiber. When I made the decision to buy them I realized how much I needed them. Also on the front of the engine I see you used a 42034 piece instead of 42127 piece, also on back of engine to rear axle you chose 42127 instead of 26287, reason for these? Otherwise, cool model!

Oh My. This is a great idea I tried something like this when I was younger but when I was moving many years ago a vandal broke into one of my storage units and set it on fire when he realized he was already caught in the act. sadly this unit contained many of my childhood items (mostly legos) and I lost 2 8071 kits one a recent gift to me, and I also lost many other kits mocs and childhood notebooks (also full of mostly lego ideas) but a few days later I found him trying to sell 2 of my notebooks full of moc instructions online and he eventually (after a court date) paid $400 for damage, and went to jail for vandalism but I never had the heart to buy another 8071 because I still have the instructions for the one I customized because I had left them on a bookshelf and they had wound up in a different unit than the one vandalized (the vandalized one was ~450 miles away) so I just bought as many of the other kits that had burned as I could afford but now seeing this moc I am already shopping for another one. Good idea though, post instructions soon?

pneumatics in trains is a good idea but not always very efficient but I'm sure train moderator JopieK could tell us more for our train fans -

this is a cool idea you have to build compressors as they are multiple pieces here is a link to a image https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/lego-technic-large-pneumatic-1864768758 ignore everything but the image instructions for a compressor for an example https://www.daslhub.org/unlv/wiki/doku.php?id=tutorial_iv -

Do you know what a air compressor is? if so basically just this in lego technic with obvious slight differences but same compressed air idea. Usually instead of using actuators for excavators arms or dump trailers we use pneumatics because they operate faster than actuators and are cooler
