Hello, for a month I have been building this circle layout and that's the progress I've made. I'm struggling a bit with pieces lastly, so the further parts may be a bit inconsistent. Here are some pictures: Have a nice day!

Hello, I'm not very new to this site but haven't made a post here yet. So just wanted to say hi. And becaouse I saw @Aleksi Perala here, also that for some reason I'm obsessed with things related to Finland and more their language, and becaouse of that I built the Hr1 steam locomotive. last year I took it to the brick train awards so here are some photos of it. It is kind of unstable, but I'll get around to fixing it eventually soon.

Nice style and great colors! Will vote for it

[APP] BrickController2

I thought about that and when I'd want to add support for buwizz 3, which I probably wouldn't, then I can just filter for both the BuWizz2 name and BuWizz, and then differentiate. Anyways, I have to figure out how to connect to buwizz's gatt server.- 1,308 replies

[APP] BrickController2

I haven't fixed it. As far as I know scanning for BLE devices isn't complicated using the android library or however it's called in an android app. I thought that if I can't fix bc2, since I don't know the C language, I'll just write my own app. I made some progress on it now and it detects my buwizz 2 every time with no issues. I tried what you did with long pressing the buwizz button but it didn"'t work for me Hey, I checked out the code that you said will fix the issue here. Why don't you just get the device name and check if it's "BuWizz2"? I'm working in java in android studio and it works fine that way.- 1,308 replies

Very good proportions and good work! Also it's a nice look with these white "horn" shaped pieces on the pillars, will vote on this museum.

Yeah, I turned it on and gave access. Fun fact, it works on my android 6 phone even without location turned on!- 1,308 replies

Hi, I don't know if that's the right place to put it, but I figured it's appropriate. So I got a new phone with android 10 recently and bc2 seems to not see my buwizz 2 when I scan for devices. On my previous phone with android 6 it scanned for it with no problem, but I don't know if it still would when I would delete this buwizz and tried to scan for it and I don't want to check as I still want to have a way to control my buwizz On the buwizz app it detects it and it works, but I don't really like their app and my ds4 doesn't work on there. Did someone encounter such an issue anytime or knows what's happening here?- 1,308 replies

[WIP] - 4WD RC Buggy
domik replied to domik's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I actually got into buying buwizz just a few months ago, so yeah, it is pretty new. The downside to learning just from the greyhound is that I don't know nor see any different way to do some things but I'm okay with it. And I didn't ever think of that when I do this 2 motors on 1 port thing it gives half of the power to each motor, and I haven't really noticed it when driving. Thanks! -
[WIP] - 4WD RC Buggy
domik replied to domik's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I did learn a lot from the instructions to the Greyhound, but I have never built it becaouse I don't have enough bricks and I don't like such big models As for the 1 Buwizz, I will run it with two units, but for now I've driven it on rough terrain with 1 Buwizz and it ran very well and the battery didn't seem to struggle. Maybe that's becaouse I've got one of my rear motor's polarity inverted so that I can run them on 1 port. -
[WIP] - 4WD RC Buggy
domik posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, some time ago I made a post about a 4WD "engine". I did want to try to make a buggy with it, but I realized that it will be better if I just buy 2 more L motors and did 4WD with 4 PF L motors instead, becaouse with that "engine" there would be so much friction that I think it wouldn't make any sense to do it. So here is my progress so far: I love how the rear suspension turned out, but the front isn't that great. The steering "bars" are flexing a lot and thus allow the wheel hub to rotate when the steering rack is still. Sorry if these images are hard to read. And probably the most important thing. The springs aren't strong enough to handle the weight of the car! I tried to attach the black ends a stud lower, but that way it's practically no difference except for that the wheel's suspension is a bit higher, which means less suspension travel and the body is closer to the ground. Here's a quick video of the suspension: I don't even know if it's even possible to do a good front suspension with these 6,5 stud long springs, and I'm considering buying the 9,5 stud springs. You're welcome to comment and have a nice day! -
A 4WD "engine" idea
domik replied to domik's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'd agree with what @TeamThrifty said. But you're right, you won't learn much when you don't know what to test, but I often find myself discovering a way to do something much quicker than if I had thought and thought about it. Anyways, I hope I'll be able to do some "experimenting" on this "engine" soon, it sounds that I can pull off something cool with it. Thanks for the idea with coupling the motors! -
A 4WD "engine" idea
domik replied to domik's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I haven't thought about coupling these motors together in this way, but that is brilliant! Then there would be power of two L Motors in coming to each wheel..? This sounds impossible tho.. And I did hear about and thought about getting Sariel's book, but knowing me, I probably will learn more with experimenting. -
It looks incredible! Is the grass in the middle just lying around or attached to somewhere?

Hello. Some time ago I designed this 4WD "engine" as I call it. I basically got tired of the front steering wheels being just pushed around by rear motors in my RC cars. But I didn't really know how to build such a model that would use this engine, and didn't have as much bricks as I've got now, so I abandoned this idea. But now I'm coming back to it, and I started to wonder if it's even possible to make a car that has pretty good capabilities off-road with just two PF L Motors, and one Buwizz. So I wanted to ask if someone has an opinion on this. There are two outputs on 2 sides, as you can see in this image. Have a nice day!

Yeah.. I don't have much space so I build track layouts on the floor 😅

Thanks! I would want to have a landscape or a town for my trains to drive through, but I haven't figured out how to start the building yet.

[MOC] STAR 266M
domik replied to damjan97PL's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I haven't imagined that technic vehicles could be so clean, on the outside. But I imagine it's not easy to fit all the motors, differentials and suspension to the tight space there. At least to me it seems pretty tight. -
Hi, I'm domik, from Greater Poland, in Poland (obviously). I have sometimes a weird sense of humour, and prefer the brittish accent of English. I always had a thing to legos, but after the pandemic, that is around 2022, I've realised that since lego makes motors and battery boxes, you can make a working, remote-controlled car! And that was when I started to get into building MOCs. The first vehicles were terrible looking back, but I was happy from them back then. I started making MOCs with regular bricks, not technic around 2023, mainly interested in building trains, that of course can drive on their own. There were a couple of them, and the latest one I published to Brick Train Awards - you can see it here. I also recently got into terrain MOCs, but I'm still learning how to do it. But now my focus is really back into RC cars, and my recent one has capabilities comparable to @Didumos69's Greyhound buggy, which I took some inspiration from, but I haven't finished it yet. Sorry for such a long introduction, it's just me. Apart from legos, I'm keen on making music, programming in Lua and the Finnish language. Have a nice day, or afternoon in Poland :)

Hey, I'm thinking about buying Buwizz 2.0, since it's price is really decreased. The problem is I will be able to buy it in around 2-3 months. Now I'm not sure if it will still be available when I'll have the funds to buy it, becaouse there's this banner with an information that there's limited stock. And what I'm asking is does someone maybe know if BuWizz is discontinuing 2.0, or there will be chance to buy it later?
