Joktan the fur trader (http://www.eurobrick...38#entry1504966) is determined to fight The Hand of Corruption til they are driven from Historica He has gathered some loyal Mitgardians to help him: Erastus a trapper who knows the mountains of Mitgardia thoroughly, Dedan another trapper quite used to surviving in the wild, Kenan an experienced hunter who is skilled with the bow, and Jayan a dwarven miner. Here they push some boulders onto unsuspecting Hand of Corruption soldiers: From left to right: Dedan, Erastus, Kenan, Jayan, and Joktan. Good decision to use the Varlyrio build for challenge VI, I think it is your best build yet! The layout is great and the buildings themselves are gorgeous, love the crane on the right building and the porch on the left one The SNOT water is quite effective here, and I agree with Masa that the islands are a nice touch Cool gondolas too, you really are great at doing builds in the Varlyrio style

That bridge is quite impressive! I like how your story leaves the possibility for Revolword to be dead, or just waiting to attack again and the introduction of exploration and a fight for the throne adds a lot of possibilities Looking forward to the first build and updated second build

And who had the first entry for Challenge VI up? Three large builds is a lot to do, especially when you don't have much free time like a lot of people in GoH. @Ecc: And it looks like it's starting with a blizzard I'm looking forward to seeing all the challenge entries and stories, as well as seeing what happens after this. An exciting time for GoH -
Challenge VI: If only peace would come now...

The scene with the houses is lovely, you really have a knack for buildings at that scale You even inspired me to try some like these. The interior looks majestic and the pattern in the middle of the floor is great The long anticipated wedding scene is fantastic, the stained glass, flags, and architecture are stunning Cool to see other Avalonians there, though a few other Mitgardians would have been neat too Well written story as well, a strong entry for sure! -
Excellent shaping on the ship and the clawssbow is perfect for the vessel

A Call to Arms: The Battle of Queenscross

Wow, that was quite the battle! Cool see that Arimil and Kessler were a help The fig posing throughout was great and the story well written. This must have taken a lot of effort- 123 replies

Superb interior scenes and I like how you included other sigs in your story The bars in front of the fireplaces are really neat, I'll have to keep that design in mind
-
Excellent interior, the black and grey wall works well The mention of kabel's fig in the story was cool. Interesting addition to the story
-
Tremendous model of Minas Morgul You captured the angles extremely well and even the bridge looks accurate to the movie
-
Very good work, the stone section is nicely detailed and I like the wooden part Only one thing seems to be missing, where is the porticullis/doors?

I agree with the above comments I think the colorscheme in this build is more attractive than the other as well. Great work on the market and the figs in it. Cool stair design to the canal as well, but wouldn't the gondola go there to unload?

Darkmire Mill - Dark Isle Saga: Chapter 1, Part 6
soccerkid6 replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Incredible work yet again, I've been waiting to comment til I see them here so I can read the story at the same time. The colors in the landscape give an incredible atmosphere and after seeing some closeups of the stream I think you achieved the look you were going for While I've loved the style of the builds so far in The Dark Isle Saga, I'm excited to see what the new style will be -
The chimney and roof are what stood out to me The near orange SNOT tiles look great on the side of the house, but their arrangement on the front looks a little strange to me. The window frames around the bigger windows are quite clever Overall a very impressive build

Very easy to tell this was a beerbeard build. The wooden detailing on the house is fantastic and I like the subtle coloring differences in the tudor sections Great landscape as always, where are the interior pics though? Always like to see interiors

Cool build and the story is very well written The figs are also excellent

The tower doesn't look very sturdy to me but I like run-down effect. Excellent little tree and river as well

Show us your statue with its story!(minimum 12x12) 9 days left for Challenge VI, how is everyone coming on their entries? -
One of my favorite builds from you, the tudor section adds a lot to the wall and while the river is simple it fits nicely with the scene and gives a good color contrast Interesting story as well
