Here are some ideas- Meeting Buckbeak- $9-11.99 USD- Buckbeak with small scenery and accessories like Monster Book of Monsters, mushrooms, apple, feather, etc. Includes Hagrid in new color (dark tan or normal brown) and design, Harry and Draco Troll in the Bathroom- $19-24.99 USD- Hogwarts bathroom stalls and sinks with Troll. Includes Harry, Ron, Hermione, and maybe Quirrel Chamber of Secrets Battle- $39-49.99 USD- Small structure representing the Chamber of Secrets, featuring arches and sculpture of Salazar Slytherin. Can attach below "Troll in the Bathroom" Includes Basilisk, Harry, Ginny, Gilderoy Lockhart, Tom Riddle. Shrieking Shack- $59.99 USD- Updated and more detailed version. Includes Harry in new casual clothes (as if this would ever happen...), Sirius, Lupin, Snape, Wormtail. Hogwarts Clock Tower- $89-99.99 USD- Similar to the one released with PoA. Features the clock tower and small courtyard with fountain. Includes Luna (uniform), Neville (uniform), new Dumbledore (in red with hat?), Trelawney, Slughorn, Madam Pomfrey, Ghost. Ministry of Magic- $99-129.99 USD- Sections would include Main Atrium with Floo portals and fountain, Department of Mysteries, Veil Chamber, and possibly a section representing the Court Room. Includes Corneilius Fudge, Umbridge, Casual Sirius, Mad Eye Moody, Tonks, Dumbledore, Voldemort, Generic Death Eater (NOT Malfoy), Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I think these ideas not only seem realistic, but would satisfy most minifigure wants. After a wave like this, I would be more content with the line ending (not that I would want it to ). But I do think Lego needs to release things like this before leaving Harry Potter for good... -Derek

I love this! The Lovegoods are some of my favorite Harry Potter characters and your interpretation of their house does their personalities justice! -Derek

Anyone notice the brown snowshoes on the Mailman? The Post office is definitely the best Winter Set so far in nearly all aspects!
-
The Post Office is by far the best Winter Village set yet! The building is great, the truck and the gazebo look great too. The figures look nice too, I think I see a guy with a guitar and another with a saxophone (?) and the new orangeish brown dog from the Pet shop...I will definitely be buying this!

Nice review! I agree that one of the best pieces of the set is the new Emperor hologram cylinder. However, I think Lego should release the trophy piece from the Collectable Figure line in trans-blue for holograms...It's the perfect size with the right amount of detail... -Derek

I love everything about the new Lupin except the hair...they should have given him the standard male "tousled" hair in Reddish Brown (which I'm surprised we haven't gotten yet...) -Derek

This is disappointing. There was all this hype surrounding this new set and we finally see pics and it's nothing terribly exciting. Lego should have released this with the first wave and saved QAR for the November release. They are probably (but most definitely) making this a strategic Christmas time release so all the kids will be begging for it...However, besides the figures, I don't see much worth begging for... And while the 3 new figures are great, I would have much rather actual Black Pearl crew, like a new Elizabeth, Pintel, Ragetti, Marty, Cotton, etc. I also hope that the inclusion of Davy Jones and Bootstrap Bill doesn't mean that's the end of PotC Lego... -Derek

Great work! I accidentally clicked on this and I was pleasantly surprised! -Derek

I think this new mold was created for the Aurra Sing figure from SW (she has a ponytail that is inserted in that hole) and other figures that could use that technique for headpieces in the future. I discovered this in my Mandalorian Battle Pack when 2 of the (identical printed) heads had the recessed stud and 2 did not. It was strange... -Derek

Does anyone know if we will ever see PotC keychains and magnets? They are usually released along with the sets, and they've almost been out for a month now... -
Inspired by the new Pet Shop 10128

Wow! That looks amazing! The railing is ingenious! -
Thank you for the review! I love this set, but I do also feel that it is $10-20 too expensive for what you get. If I see it on sale (which I'm sure I will eventually) I will definitely pick it up. But for now, I want to focus on the smaller sets. I love the look of this set. I'm very glad that the designers chose to make this set primarily dark grey as opposed to the light grey that we typically get with Castle styled sets like this. The figures in this line are amazing. Lego has really outdone themselves between the new Harry Potter and now Pirates of Caribbean sets. -Derek

Today I watched Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 and was reminded of how happy I am we are getting a Narcissa figure, but also how disappointed I was she isn't getting a new hair piece. If Lego made a piece that looked like her hair in the movie, it would be a beautiful figure, probably right up there with Bellatrix... -Derek

I'll pass on these. That would be a really stupid joke if it was one...

Hmm. I'm nervous (but still excited) to see this. The description makes it seem very busy and elementary... Someone needs to find pictures! I can't take the waiting! -Derek

I am in love with this series. It is the first one where I LOVE every figure. I will definitely be buying a ton of blind packs without feeling them because I want them all anyway Thanks for the thorough review! -Derek

I really would much rather have Snape in the Hogwarts set. Malfoy is a major character, but Snape is one of the main characters in both the series and especially the final book. Hopefully the image is preliminary and it changes in the final.

It's annoying that this thread is now nothing but speculation as to which figures we are going to get in these sets...
-
I'm hoping "Heroic Heroes" will include Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy (who can have the hat from the minifig Series 4 Sailor). Glove World also sounds really interesting...Hopefully it will be a decent sized set... I really hope these aren't Duplos.

My heart stopped when I read "There are Harry Potter sets shown" and it sped back up when I saw that there was nothing new. Pictures will come soon enough (I hope). -Derek

Does anyone know what store 7869 Battle for Geonosis will be available at in the United States? What about 7968 Mace Windu's Starfighter? Thanks! -Derek

Target is being stingy with their clearance... My store has a good selection of sets on sale, but they have been sitting on the shelf all week at 30% off...

I was opening my Mando battlepack the other day and noticed that the head stud of one out of the four head pieces was filled in, instead of the normal hollow "peace sign" pattern. I'm wonder if this will become mainstream and why this set is the first and seemingly only one to have this... -Derek Oh, and on a side note, the Mandalorian faces totally look like Christopher Walken...
-
That would be kinda cool- take the mask part and put it under the head like a beard, and the helmet on top of the head.

I agree. I love the sets and I think most of them are reasonably priced, but I really don't think I can bring myself to buy one of the spinner packs. If you buy most of the sets, you can easily get all the figures and accessories for a decent value, whereas you could spend 80-someodd dollars just to get all the character spinners. If I even get one of the spinners, it will definitely be from one of the "Special Edition" sets that includes them. We can complain all we want about the price, but when nobody buys the spinners Lego will realize their mistake. I think $7.50 would be a reasonable price for them (still a bit steep, but 25% cheaper). -Derek
