  1. Depending on how familiar you are with the game rules in general. On the first page of this thread you get the intro. Feel free to ask here, if something is unclear. If you are interested more in the state of the three teams, feel free to check out the map: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1hhu_2cIGV2rVEIalErmj3Qx_Uci00xnGZL6P_CnzJfk/htmlview# The global goal is still to conquer P10 to trigger something story-wise per the game master. But the Dark Side victory on this sector is imminent. Only Mercs from Q10 could challenge them If you want to start building with some bonus points, I'd suggest to participate in the Life Day Contest. You can have a look at the in-game contest rules here: But be aware, the contest is closing on Sunday night.
  2. Hi! Objectively speaking, it's the Mercenaries trailing the most in points. But feel free to choose what fits your mood best, I'd say Would be great to have you on board, no matter which side you choose
  3. *Your entry has earned 10 XP + 10 bonus for a total of 20 XP (S:3, T:3.5, A:3.5) Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story Chapter Overview with Link: Dramatis Personae: ******* Chapter 18.5 - Gala Guests - A Festive Figbarf << to previous chapter of Raiders of the Lost Art After all guests and staff boarded the Atrisia, the starliner jumped into hyperspace, for the New Republic Gala soon to begin… The characters displayed are: Upper left: Nobody expected a Pirate Lord at the Gala, but here he is. Make no mistake, Commodore Arrick Click (where the Click would truly be a clicking sound, if pronounced correctly) is an aged, but formidable corsair. He is known to be merciful to those who surrender, but merciless to the ones who try to deceive him. Over decades of his life as a pirate, the Aqualish Arrick emerged as a (de facto political) leader and lord protector of his wild space territory. Arrick loosly allied with some Rebel cells and fought the Empire with his fleet. He was invited to the Gala (against some opposition) in the hope he would remain righteous. Arrick owns a Merqaal named Jinx. Upper right: The Ovissian U'Lell is a honorable judge at the reestablished New Republic's court of justice. He was a lawyer during the rise of the Empire and disputed the legality of its actions. As a result, he spent almost 20 years imprisoned on Wobani. He wouldn't tell, but he still wakes up in nightmares of that place sometimes. The vegetarian loves the snackbar at the Gala and can usually be found there. Middle left: Yashdee Begoon is a lovely elder lady, fulfillin the Ithorian stereotype. She is fond of living nature and can admire a single, decorative plant for multiple hours. Yashdee is a friendly, sometimes a little naive lady, who despises violence. At younger age, she was leader of her herd. Now she is an ambassador of Ithor and supporting the idea of peace negotiations. Middle right: The human Stephim Saul-Saro is hailing from Milvayne. His father wanted him to take over the families' shipping business. But Stephim didn't give a kriff about what his father wanted. He left to become a street artist and indeed caused a stir in the underground scene on Coruscant with some anti-(clone) war art. When the planet became the Imperial Centre, he anonymously continued with anti-totalitarian artworks. He was lucky, the long reach of the ISB did not get to him - mostly because of his relationship with holovid-starlet Dzenia Moone. With the Rebellion turning into a democratic government, he now hopes for more liberty. Lower left: Yurs Vendelorn is the chief of security on board of the Atrisia and in this role subordinate directly to Admiral Ackbar and Princess Leia. At young age, Yurs witnessed the separatist bombardment of his homeworld Humbarine and volunteered for the Imperial Navy in the aftermath of the war. He climbed the ranks but soon became disillusioned by the corruption and carelessness of the totalitarian regime. Like many others, he defected and joined the Rebel Alliance. Yurs sucessfully fought many battles during the civil war and eventually received the rank of Commander. Now, he was trusted the difficult task to secure the Gala and make the guests feel equally safe and free. Commander Vendelorn is busy at the moment, as some uninvited delegation of the Hutt cartell somehow bypassed the security and got as far as the flight deck. Lower Right: Dzenia Moone. Famous holoactress and descendant of the renowned Moone dynasty. The Coruscanti human with bleached white hair was already filthy rich, when she started her career. Dzenia was a darling of many imperial officials but fell in love with shipping company heir and no-name artist Stephim Saul-Saro. Not everyone approved this romance but as a Moone, Dzenia was almost untouchable. At some point, she learned about Stephims anti-imperial art-work and was riveted by his courage. Rumor has it, she stood up for Stephim, when the ISB found out. Another rumor even says that Emperor Palpatine - being a fan of the daily holo-soap Dzenia was starring in - granted her clemency. Dzenia and Stephim had to leave Coruscant but they were able to continue their careers on Cantonica. Finally after all these years of austerity, Dzenia Moone can show herself in public with her husband again and loves being in the spotlight. ************************** Hello and welcome to part 2 of my festive figbarf
  4. ... and a happy new year to you! So the Hutts send their regards (and some delegates) and crash the New Republic Gala? Need to address this security breach immediately ... or extend an invitation retroactively I just think you might need another figure so that the entry would count -> 5-6 figs required it seems.
  5. Thank you very much for the feedback! The head of Firaya is from Ayala Secura, the Twi'lek Jedi. We'll see if Morzog can give General Rox a little tour when the former is on board
  6. Thanks! Oh, I thought it should be the category of the alternative, not the original. Sorry. My bad. Maybe an Admin could move it accordingly?
  7. Lego Star Wars Clone and Droid Battlepack 75372 turned into "Reconquest", an hommage to real time strategy video games:

' Heavy Anti-Air Turret' - A defensive building with dual anti air cannons The ALF- Atlantean Liberation Forces units and buildings depicted: 'Zeus Walker' - the heavy tripod walker strikes with lightning and is one of the strongest Atlantean ground units 'Artemis Mech' - The mech is fast and deadly with its ray gun against infantry ' Apollon Quadcopter' - An airborn artillery platform, great against infrastructure ' The Flood Node' - A heavily secured Building, is the ultimate weapon of the Atlanteans. Activated it causes a massive flood. **************************** Hello, My contribution to the Alt Build Contest is a hommage to Real Time Strategy Video games. I started with the Clone Trooper and Battle Droid Battle Pack 75372 and made some microbuilds out of the parts. A battlepack might not be the best source of parts, as the purpose is to introduce minifigs, but I liked the challenge. I hope you like the result. The scenario is completely invented, I just wanted to stay in the spirit of some of the strategy games, where, well, the title and story might not always be the highlight of it Here is an additional image of parts that I did not use:
  9. *Your entry has earned 11 XP + 10 bonus for a total of 21 XP (S:4, T:3.5, A:3.5) Raiders of the Lost Art - A Star Wars Mysteries Story Chapter Overview with Link: Dramatis Personae: ******* Chapter 18.5 - Gala Guests Part I - A Festive Figbarf << to previous chapter of Raiders of the Lost Art After all guests and staff boarded the Atrisia, the starliner jumped into hyperspace, for the New Republic Gala soon to begin… The characters displayed are (from left to right) The Sullustan magnate Paydon Jatt. You wouldn't believe it, but in his younger years Jatt was a space-prospector. He made a fortune with charting space and exploring new mining opprtunities. He is a shareholder of the SoroSuub company. The Rodian Valio was nominated ambassador of a loose group of a few neutral Outer-Rim worlds. He is visiting the Gala with his wife and is curious what the new government might bring. He is well prepared and carries a retinal projector for augmented reality data with him. The human artist Lashali Sunnard was booked for the background music of the party. Originally a star during the previous regime, Lashali gently critisized the Empire in one of her shows and found herself in a women labor camp. Now rehabilitated, she will perform with her other band members on the big stage. The Pantoran Archduchess Firaya Sinsi was a silent supporter of the Rebel Alliance and her leader, Mon Mothma. Now that she can publicly show her affiliation, she would donate a significant amount of credits to the cause. Being a member of the high society, she loves these kind of events. Morzog is a fashion designer, hailing from Gallus. When he learned that the New Republic Gala would be art-themed, he did everything to get one of the precious invitations. The small Gallusian is relieved the dark days are over and non-human (and even non-humanoid) artists and designers would again have a chance to display their creations to the Galaxy. Morzog brought a huge amount of his designs with him and would love to show them to anybody interested in his quarters. The human Lem Korb is one of the many attendands, waiters and aides hired for the Gala. He had to undergo a strict security check to be allowed to work on the Atrisia today. For the Chandrilan Lem, this is a golden opportunity to finally make some credits. Even more, he's hoping for genenrous tips by the wealthy guests.
  10. Thanks for the comprehensive review I enjoyed the show very much so far and would love to see a few more from Lego here. It's got potential for some sets for sure, although I admit TLG does not do a lot of scenery sets for kids, but it's always vehicles. Not sure if a pirate ship would make it to the market, but definitely SM-33 is missing as a main character and needs to be added somewhere!
  11. I really like the build and how the story around evolves! The carpet being rolled out, the plants brought in and the poor Gurney being devoured! The table is done nicely and the windows do really well too. I hate to say I'm about to deploy a very similar setting with ship windows as a set All in all, what a spirited lovely kinda dark humor holiday special
  12. Great to have your representative for the council on board And the vessel is neat! The white fin and wings fit well!
  13. Neskar racer? This is hilarious 10/10 for the creativity turning the original parts into this. It's a great alternative build that has indeed the speed champions vibe!
  14. I'd love to have more from the Skeleton Crew! The ship just can't be it, considering the show is fun and especially kids enjoying it. Some smaller sets with e.g. the kids and their bikes, SM-33 and Jod in the droid workshop, Khymm and her observatory, something with the pirates... there is so much potential!
  15. Oh this is so great! The first guests arrived to the secret imperial council at castle Vonreg! Thanks for accepting the invite and contributing to the story. Your build with Vonregs collection of artifacts fits perfectly! A great idea to include an old armor. It gives instant castle vibes. I like the shot you took, allowing to see the ceiling. I only will have a hard time to recreate Rax's custom uniform in my later depiction of the council.
  16. Thanks! The story of the Raiders will now unfold between the two locations, castle Vonreg and the gala on the starliner

The Republic agent’s YV-560 courier ship Cloudrunner is approaching the location, where the long awaited New Republic Gala would take place… » Ah, there it is, the Atrisia. « » We have you now on our monitors, Cloudrunner. Code Green confirmed. Proceed with docking. « » Affirmative Atrisia. Approach vector 4-6-decimal 2-8. Cloudrunner over. « » Sths« (So this is where the New Republic Gala will take place? It looks like a museum!) » Oh I assure you, it is! A rarity from the days of the High Republic, manufactured by the Lantillian ShipWrights after a draft by famous designer Ramni Holian. She was an alumni of the Royal Academy of Arts on the planet Kitel Phard, also known as Atrisia! » h « (Ah, therefore the name.) Yes. Some years ago, in her desperation to come up with its own capital ships, the Alliance turned her into a starfighter carrier. But now she can serve her real purpose again - To host this exquisite party! « Meanwhile, aboard the Lambda-Shuttle Elysium with the very same destination… » Shuttle Elysium? Priority landing confirmed. Proceed with your approach. « » We just received the clearance to land on the starliner, my lord. « » Very good. Let’s hope they prepared the finest suite for us. The name Atrisia… This is a sign of fortune, Vee-Nine! Atrisia is the planet we Vonregs are hailing from. I feel it. This Gala will be a turning point for me and alter the whole New Republic! « to next chapter >> ******************** Hello and welcome to the next chapter of RotLA! Here I present you the miniature of a vintage, but refurbished civillian starliner, the Atrisia, where the New Republic Gala will take place. The ship is around 370m long and equiped with three main ion engines, as well as secondary ones for better maneuverability. I added the Corellian Blockade Runner for size reference and storywise for escort purposes. The Lambda-Shuttle shown on the first image is the 75302 one. One of my favorite series Star Wars ships by Lego. Here are additional images without the FX.
  18. Thank you very much . I love to be creative with characters and their stories. And here, it's part of my motivation, knowing that there are a few people reading and enjoying them. And Lego is a nice way to convey them Thanks. Yes, it's quite simple: a pin connector 4274 with the stud into the arc and the pin into a 1x1 brick. Not sure if this is a illegal technique, but it seems to click, so the pin might not be stressed. Just a few. They must be from the old 'Life on Mars' set with those vacuum pipes. For Mars surface it's the perfect color, actually. I like it. Maybe because I have not many they are precious to me
  19. Thank you @Max_Lego I'm really happy that you you like the story and even more for the reasons why Here indeed the focus for me was the story and on how these characters would use some creativity to recreate Life Day in such a uncomfy and hostile environment.
  20. Thank you so much I tell you, I've been struggling with that shot. Should the focus be on the foreground or the background with the miniatures? Or should everything be clearly visible? It was a guts feeling to take this one, although the miniatures would be a bit blurry. This way, the tension towards the castle is building up. Seems I chose the right one
  21. *Your entry has earned 12 XP + 10 bonus for a total of 22 XP (S:4, T:4, A:4) Life Day Special – Surprise on Mon Gazza Mon Gazza: A violent, poverty-stricken world, second only to notorious Kessel in spice production. Here, in the spice mines, only the toughest survive. Outworld workers are lured to sign a contract for three years where they would make big money and then return home, but the reality is different. Some miners are stuck in servitude for their lifetime. Nonetheless, within all the misery and darkness, a little spark of compassion can light a cozy fire… » Dam-di-dam. Dam-di-da. Pom-po-pom.Pom-po-poo... « » Look! Crow and I found this decommissioned, bronzium drill. « » Yeah! What do you say, ol'Wensley? « » Ha, completely corroded! It looks almost like a tree. We have our Tree of Life! Good job! « » …and I got them Life Orbs! « » Splendid! « » Seems we have everything, but for... what was that white, crystallized water called again? « » Ha ha! Snow, my dear Clueless! « Snow... you think she be mad if we not gonna have it? « » Wait! Sucker got something. « » Wurrrrrpp! « » He says he has collected some white-ish minerals at the den and pulverized them. « » Wonderful. So everyone to his position. Here she comes! « » Merry Life Day, Screwie!!! « » Gwrrraaaahhh?! « » Of course, sweetie. We know how you miss home! Here, this is for you! « » Rooow? Rooof-Booof? « » Ol'Wensley told us all about it! There is no planet and no weird custom this ancient prospector wouldn't know. « » Ah Crow, almost every culture has a feast like Life Day, you know? « » Hm. when I was a child, we would gather around the Kalikori at Three Moons Eve and exchange little presents. Then we would drink hot chakka and tell stories... « » On Burnin' Bog Day, I’d go for a hunt with my siblings. After we return, we would set the bog on fire and the whole clan would dance around the flames. The gases would make us dizzy and then we would feast. And eventually my sister and I would start a brawl. Awsome! « » Oh! And before I was sent to the mines, I would also get to know similar customs at my masters' families! One would even set up a tree in the habitat to celebrate life with the family! And he wasn't even a Wookiee! « » Exactly! Since we are all stuck here in these spice mines, let ourselves have our own merry, little Life Day celebration, hm? « » Mhhrrr Chrrrhhstmmmhhrrrr! « ***************************** Hello and welcome to my contribution to the Life Day Contest 2024 I hope you enjoy this little story about friends making their comrade happy on Life Day. 22. Easier it is, yes. It corresponds to option B from my previous posts, where the game is played more like a game of risk (the board game). But that exactly triggers 'aggressive' campaigns for the sake of sector control. Like: if I want Kashyyyk to be liberated, I have to do it with spamming builds in P9, rather than play along the legends timeline where at some point it were liberated. In the case of (loose) timeline approach, the scores and sector controls would be more "meta". I can live with both in the end. Just wanted to know your opinion
  23. No, what do you mean? Just kidding My question here is indeed in connection with the Naboo topic. (I wouldn't immediately call Republic troops on Naboo an incident ). I mean, I have a preference as I wrote. Maybe not everyone read it though (on the other hand, I bet every one of the handful of active players has ) My question specifically for Kashyyyk is if we are pre- or post liberation (mainly to the GM @MKJoshA) ?
  24. Just a little question: Is Kashyyyk still occupied or already freed in our game? Per game rules P9 is under DS control, but as we are following the legends timeline, in 5 ABY Kashyyyk would be free or at the verge of being free. What's your opinion here? Do we in general split sector ownership 'as per game rules' from the 'historical' developments on planets inside these sectors? Or is this more like a game of risk, where locked sectors really alter the timeline. I personally prefer the former above the latter. Just imagine I could build a story around a heavy defeat of Rebel forces on a specific planet and still lock the sector with the earned game points... Eventually, I'm asking this because of Life Day originating from Kashyyyk
  25. Wow, thank you very much for the big praise! I really appreciate it!
