  1. Love the new name. And yes, Peeron's your best bet. Or, you could just include in the offer that none of the extra pieces are included, only the main model. I'm not sure how well that would go, however.
  2. Maybe a new kind of oar, more detailed than the last one (not that you can get too detailed, but you sure can add a few ridges in there.)
  3. Four cheap castle sets in 2000 released "Chrome" armour and swords to make the ultimate "Chrome Bull" warrior/general. Weird gimmicks but awesome armour pieces, could be usable on figs as well as for treasure. Lost Helm of Eurobricks anyone? http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=4818-1
  4. True, can we please have an admin rename this? By the way excellent SNOT you've got going there baby powder man.
  5. Yup, that's pretty cool. I seriously like your wheels and the feeling of classic space, that skateboard helmet looks awesome in the front... and the fig reminds me of Buck Rogers...
  6. The best part about the comics are your figs, they're seriously pretty cool. Not that the comic isn't funny though, like I said before it's getting better lad...
  7. It's waiting for a snide comment LEGOscum...
  8. As of now, Clone Wars has its first reviews in. I won't tell you the numbers as not to start a rant between people who like the movie or not... I don't want majority ruling. So, will the reviews/movie for Clone Wars affect what you buy this season for LSW? I don't really like this movie very much, even if I can honestly admit I liked the first 6. I'll hold full judgement until after I see it. However, I'm not interested in the Clone Wars sets either, I'm going to try to reach for that Death Star by saving up bigtime. 500$'s a lot, but not if it's what you want.
  9. From what I'm seeing, you think someone who lost in a contest's entry was better than the winners, so you go on another forum to rally up supporters? Sweet. I can't see the pictures though, damn server's always busy on that site for me...
  10. A very good choice then my friend.
  11. Thank you very much KimT, I appreciate the help. But as Mod, I don't think you should have to waste your time searching for pics of a set you don't even like yourself.
  12. Whipe clean thy slate dudes. I have a question though, what's the difference between this new site and Classic-Pirates? Are they brother communities or something more like Bzpower/Maskofdestiny? (I don't care for Bionicle though.) Or, completely different? It's not my descision, but depending on what either site tries to do (and from what I see: EUROBRICKS is more of a general LEGO pirates site and this ForbiddenCove revolves around the possibility of Lego Pirates returning), they should probably try to stay close together. How?
  13. Too much money, I'd really like this set if I was any good at chess. Maybe I should start training up, seeing as the Castle line-up for this year is over and personally a bit of an underwhelm. Thank you very much for the review!
  14. God they're neat. If anyone has the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel could they possibly post a picture or two up? I've checked Brickshelf and there's only one folder of the actual un-modded set ... though probably, that's for a reason.
  15. Bad idea. Eurobricks is all we need. Pirates is unfortunately a dead theme to LEGO and due to it being so small, it only needs one fan-site. Themes like SW are twice as popular as Pirates, allowing it to have several sites such as FBTB. Though there are practically hundreds of pirates fans, you can't count the number of LEGO Star Wars fans. I'll stick to Eurobricks.
  16. It's... well, a lot of computer panels. I like how you buffed up the interior and all but all those monitors piled one on top of another doesn't look as good as it seems. Your mods are good but still, most parts of it don't really match the theme of the Turbo Tank (from a powerful, heavily armoured tank to a... bunch of monitors). Having weapons lying around everywhere looks a little odd too, if I were a Clone Trooper I'd want to be able to grab my gun... or blaster rifle... or chainsaw ( ) in a split second to take out those droids, without having to look. I do however like your missiles on the side of the tank you made, really cool looking and it seems like they can pack quite a punch. But still, even if this is a bored mod, it is kind of lacking in the troop array. I'd love to see this with a few more changes, however, and though not practical I like the idea of some of your "replacements". A good job.
  17. *sigh* Spongebob and Indiana Jones are two very popular themes (though Spongebob a bit less seeing as it is no longer a "new theme"). If Indiana Jones dies out, then Spongebob would be the next in line. Not Star Wars, because it's already far more popular than Indiana Jones. Spongebob is the only liscenced theme to take its place.
  18. It's good, I didn't fully understand why the engines were facing forwards however. It's a perfect getaway, but flying into battle's hard when you're looking back, making sure you don't dent the fender. The droid head and insignia are good too, nothing much to complain about but nothing very special about it. The body is good as well, that would make a perfect spare JSF for any Jedi you happen to collect. By the way, thank you very much about the Bacta Tanks. On Renegade Squadron which I borrowed from a friend, I was wondering what those weird things are on the ground that give you health are. I thought they were like med-kits? Ammo-cases? Ah well.
  19. That makes me so dizzy... What a great model, hopefully Greg's reading this right now.
  20. The moment Indy is gone, Spongebob will likely get an attention boost. Otherwise, no idea.
  21. Overall? I absolutely loved these... a one for presentation. Sounds a little generous, but with a background attention may be taken off of the figures. Your grey gave good shadowing and drew excellent attention to the scenes. I also based the one off of your MOC's... the blue backgrounds, the white brick walls, and the computer generated desert. Very, very good. I had to mark off an entire point (making it a two), however, for the figs. They were good, but seeing official figures just thrown in there not only didn't make too much sense but was an unfortunate lack of effort. Not that your other figures, especially your signature "Western Family", which really looks quite wonderful and should remain permanently built. I liked the use of torsos from other themes, too. Your actual MOC'd figures brought you up to a 2, but not a 1 due to the dissappointing officials.
  22. First of all... lighter, more kid-friendly? Hopefully you don't mean "young", a "cgi-overload", or "big words". Because the Hobbit's none of them. Second of all... yes. LOTR did kick off several mimics which didn't have the same effect, though Narnia shouldn't be in there... it's an old one, too. Thirdly, agreeing... Spongebob was in no way a bad move. My cousin collects them crazily, though somehow he stays away from being a brat. He's only 6-ish and he's already got quite a few of them. Maybe for Christmas, we'll pick him up the hospital. I always end up building them and... honestly? They're aged down but not much. I smirked at the cartoon aspect and I don't think they're bad at all. If a 6 year old can enjoy them, I'm sure a 30 year old can, too. Or, a 20 year old. Or, older. You know why? Because they not only sell, but they're overall quick yet fun to build and play with sets.
  23. There's something wrong with the first Bacta Tank but I just can't put my finger on it... cause it's too small! It's like a Bacta Tank for a mouse, who has time to desperately try to stick their foot into a bacta tank? Sorry if it sounds rude but I thought that the first Bacta Tank was either a mini or as a joke, it's pretty small. Having it as a mini might not really work however, seeing as there aren't any Mini-Minifigs... But the rest of your creations are really, really well done. A cool looking jetpack that works very well, neat robot ideas and cool Battlefront Scenes. Having Patrick's torso with Anakin's ripped up head looks like genius, I never thought of that and they work perfectly together. The bacta tank looks great as well, though, if not a bit too similar to the Spongebob brainwashing machine. Cool fig collection by the way. Great job!
  24. The moment they quit Indy... it's gonna be a Spongebob overload. Mr. Krabs Tank, The Holy Krabby Patty, you can bet that somehow, they'll incorperate Indiana Jones into it.
