Lego Clone Wars Videogame Ideas & thoughts
Dovchenko replied to JimboJones's topic in Culture & Multimedia
True, but I did hear some rumours about a certain Lego game coming out next year. Probably not true, but here's the story I heard... LucasArts fired off this guy, and he was very mad about the whole thing (no job? well, of course he's pissed!), so he decided to ruin some games/future releases for LucasArts. This included a Lego Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull game, along with an online KOTOR 3 and a few others. Dunno what happened to him, but if there's a rumour about a LEGO game of some sort coming out, I'll look into it. It says nothing on Wikipedia about this however, so I doubt it's real news. Unfortunately, a SW CW game looks pretty bleak next year. -
Reviews for Clone Wars coming in... they bugging you at all, JimButcher? Or, do you stay faithful to this great ship even with the sour critic faces?

Good set, I laughed at the dynamite, but not as much as that axe... not many trees on the rapids. Looks like she's got more than dynamite to cause havoc in the harbour...

Which combination do you think works best?

"I'm a proud owner of this set:" You should be, you have no idea how many people would just love to take that off your hands... Great mod! The elevation looks really cool, as do you additions to the actual airport.

That's a very, very cool book. Looks like the AFOL field guide to me. -
LEGO Collector's Guide & LEGO Collector - Premium Edition
Dovchenko replied to Matija's topic in General LEGO Discussion
No offence but I see Brickset, Brickshelf, Lugnet and Peeron as "Premium Guides". -
Can I be on Hiatus so you can personally talk to me about asking to go on Hiatus? But ! "The bricks are warmer and more colourful, easier to pick up and play with. No offence, but I call the new colours "fresh". The first word I though of when I saw them... was "fresh". And the older colours? "Old". I like the new colours, though honestly that change didn't work out too well with anything "old coloured".

I was highly offended by seeing a half-naked Fabu Fig. Extremely well done.

Hmm... here, the leg design is good, but too small. Were it bigger, the Mata wouldn't look so widely-hipped. Otherwise, good progress. Keep going.

Keep your eyes open, we just might get that lucky. I totally agree with you here, and I think he means "I believe in Harvey Dent", or maybe how some people have given up on LEGO due to new themes. However, while I found that some themes seemed horrible in 2006, and I too felt they were declining, any trace of that is certainly gone by now.

A grand welcome to iotacode. And if you don't mind me asking, which country would that be you're talking of?

Lego Clone Wars Videogame Ideas & thoughts
Dovchenko replied to JimboJones's topic in Culture & Multimedia
NO. The only way that this could be sold is as an expansion pack, which it likely won't be, seeing as Lego has only released full games in the past. I haven't seen the movie but your ideas seen okay. Assuming this follows Clone Wars, I'm sure it would fit in Complete Saga. However, the episodes usually only have 6, not 8 levels. It doesn't matter... but still, maybe get rid of some of the more useless ones. Rex and Fox would be cool, but still they really aren't very relevant characters. Besides, with the terrible scores this movie is getting and all... I'm sure LEGO will make the smart move and not turn this failiure into a game. ...but on a bright, non-dark note... welcome to Eurobricks! -
Welcome to Eurobricks, ignore peole posting... well, weird things... and you'll be alright. The Hoth Rebel Base is my most recent set. I bought it without thinking because of the sudden re-release. I felt that I chose without thinking, that I was about to waste 70 bucks. At first, I was too tired to play around with it. But days after, I love the set and can't wait to get the AT-ST and AT-AT, both of last year, to finish the scene AND my hobby.
-
Thank you very much AFOL SF. But do you have the sets, any feedback on them? There's no review up, so.
-
I came across them for a good price and I remember them for 1999, I wasn't old enough to really hard-core collect and I wasn't picky about what I bought. Even by today's standards the sets seem to be pretty nicely built, even if they're very blocky. Does anyone have one of these two sets and has advice or anything major to say about them? That Watto figure looks cool, I've always liked the Podrace from Episode I.
-
I think it was an old gimmick to get free sets or something, I was a year too late for 1993 though. It's probably for a mail-in due to the lack of internet.

Looks fine... but still that designs quite a downer.

The Clone Wars reviews are starting to come in...
Dovchenko replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sorry Kim, I'll try to keep it in the right forum. But as a last defence I mean here that "will the reviews affect what you buy of the sets"? But otherwise please close this. Thanks. -
Nothing special, everyone knew Indy, City and Star Wars would blast every single other theme. But glad we're getting good results.
-
Yeah, Tom Bombadil would ride an SUV running over Barrow-Wight-People-Things.

Herding Sheep over a minefield...
Dovchenko replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I didn't really laugh at sheeping being blown up over mines, but good vig I guess. What set has sheep? -
VERY good Grievous. Seeing as you've just been learning and seeing as you just introduced me to Maya, I can't criticize the detail on the torso, however, if possible, you could add some wiring and pistons around the hip area. The design's almost spot on however, I really love what you're doing here. The shoulder looks a bit more like the Throwbot's hand, however, but I'm sure a little bit of trimming would change that. The hand also looks a bit like a glove, maybe joints would make it look Bionicle-y. Otherwise, this is a perfect Maya creation, I really love it and want to see more pictures, maybe with colour, depending on how Maya is.
