Day #375 of asking for a TIE Avenger Hopefully. The INT-4 either has to be in the AT AT or an upcoming BP build. If not then what the kriff is Lego even doing? I imagine now that Maul is over we’ll start getting official news about Ahsoka S2 soon. It’ll be Interesting to see what else Lego skipped out on releasing/ making this year. (But maybe they’ll just release next year)

Just finished Maul. Oh brilliant. Brilliant. I hope the TIE Avenger shows up on the black market in Season 3 or something (Day #374) Shuttle has now been officially revealed. It appears to have a similar interior style to 2015 but smaller. I might have to skip this. Still a great set though. 2027 better have more set slots than normal. Because with the current list, inevitable Starfighter wave and more Smart Play possible there doesn’t appear to be much more play-set space for the ANH, TIE Avenger, Ahsoka S2 and maybe Shadow Lord S2 (?) Edit: just realised that the shuttle is both £139.99 and $139.99 USD. WTF?!

I think that’s impossible by this point, Spider-mid has nothing on my poor boy’s hardships And despite all that he’s never willingly turned evil once (Parrallax doesn’t count by the time he gets it) Saving them for the foundlings? This is the way. Boba and Sandcrawler I reckon will be the only sets revealed on July 1st. AT AT will probably get a reveal shortly after the movie’s release. And then there’s the question if 75450 actually exists or was cancelled. There’s a chance it’s a Lego exclusive.

I had a nightmare last night. It went something like this. Just to be clear this is day #373 of asking for a dumb play-scale TIE Avenger Shuttle should have included another Pilot and Elia Kane instead of Mando. He’s in too many sets already. Really interested to see how/ if they manage a decent troop bay in the shuttles. I could see benches being used.

I’m very conflicted. Exterior is the best a play-scale shuttle has ever been. It even has fully retractable landing gear and the ramp is in the right place this time. Interior appears to be inferior to 2015. It looks like it’s only 6 studs wide. And the top fin isn’t as tall as it should be, but I don’t mind that. Would have also preferred Elia Kane to kriffing Mando again. I’ll need to see more before I decide if I should upgrade my 2015 model.

Good news! Smart Play is still selling abysmally on Amazon. (With exception of Vader’s TIE) Despite all the May 4th promotion, since my last report the only sale number which has bumped up is the Falcon to 200+. They are also now all already on discounts ranging from £5-10. And since Amazon is the largest online retailer and the most widely known one with the discounts… I don’t imagine that things are doing so well on Lego.com at full price. And all but Vader’s TIE are getting outpaced by the 4 year old AT TE (actually good set before clone slop started) which has 300+ sales. Really should have just released the 3 Smart Brick sets to see whether there was actually a market. Instead of comprising the entire year. At this rate i’m not even sure if they’ll make back the extraordinary marketing budget. We’ll get that TIE Avenger in no time /s (Day #372) Maul: "We will end their cruelty. We will end their atrocities. We will end their tyranny" “Sidious’ death is the only thing that maters.” Does this make Devon Allen? And Daki Tech Jacket? Rylee is definitely Oliver now that teaser clips of next episode show him getting a blaster rifle. Upon close inspection of the Hutt droid set… yeah. Not great design. I know it’s movie accurate but it just looks like if the Boba Fett mech got exposed to impure gamma radiation or TMNT Mutagen. Yeah. Lego evidently thought that they were *TITLE CARD* by thinking that SW fans would buy up anything. And honestly I don’t blame them that much after how well the relatively low effort and hyper-expensive clone wars sets have sold in recent years. Worst case scenario: Lego takes the failure of Smart Play to mean we want less play-sets. But surely they aren’t that brain dead.

AC and Hutt Droid look great! Though I’m now left wondering how many sets actually include Mando and/or Grogu this year. I swear the only Movie set without either of them is the X-Wing. Bring on the AT AT! Please! And please let the AT RT be a companion set to it so we don’t get another Mando and Grogu repeat. DON’T EVER THREATEN MY TIE AVENGER! SEA SALT! Impressive. But there’s something missing… (Day #370) Real I really like Devon. She’s a top tier SW character already. There anre only 3 new Jedi protagonists under Disney that I’ve found to be flawless in characterisation so far and have really captured me. Cal Kestis, Devon Izara and Baylan Skoll. (Daki if Baylan can’t count) Daki, Kanan and Ezra are runners up but the latter two weren’t honestly all that interesting for most of the 1st season of Rebels. Lego fumbled so badly not making Shadow Lord sets. I want Devon and the 11th Brother so badly. And I’m happy to say that the series is hype moments and aura with good writing.

As the days go by, the TIE Avenger will never die… Maybe they’ll reuse it to make Jaro Tapal? Oh wait. Modern Lego’s allergic to video games sets that aren’t based on clone troopers.

I’ve been paying attention to the recent run of best minifig polls he’s been doing. I will say that the Clone glaze in them is abysmally shocking half the time. I’m a Jang, Brick Yoda and Solid Brix guy myself. But I’d definitely take Lonely over Brickreporter or JediBricks any day of the week even despite the latter arguably now being a reliable leaker. I just really dislike their click bait, it’s way worse than most YouTubers. Herbie leaked. So surely the AT AT and Shuttle are a matter of time?

I would have made a meme. But Season 2 itself has already provided me with the perfect image. And I thought I’d try something a bit more heartfelt... Wow. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year already. I want to thank you guys for sticking with me and the campaign all this time, I understand I can get a bit annoying at times. Honestly, I originally started this as a gag as I expected we’d shortly get news of one coming in the 2026 January wave. But since then it has evolved into something so much more. A community. A collective symbol of what we want the SW theme to be. Something that embodies the best attributes of Eurobricks with the camaraderie, humour and engaging conversation. And while I know as each day passes our chances of victory become slimmer and slimmer, I will continue to post frantically about TIE Avengers because of those very reasons. Because if we don’t have hope, then what chance do we have? Happy anniversary guys. And may the force be with you all as we enter the second year.

It’s the same design as the Shoretrooper helmet. But colour-wise, it’s literally the AT ACT driver helmet. Just without the small red imperial cog on the helmet’s side. Chances of the AT AT with its larger piece count and definite omission of 2020’s speeder and Eweb builds including a Int-4? Either way. That, a Hutt Starfighter and a Remnant BP based off the speeder chase seem to be glaring omissions from the movie’s line-up and we haven’t even seen the actual movie yet so there’s likely more that was skipped. Day #364 of the TIE Avenger crusade.

363 Days of completing the mission. 75458 is a Remnant AT RT driver helmet. (2nd accidental Rogue One 10th anniversary set I guess) 75461 is the upscaled Vader fig. So more Buildables that take up able-bodies set slots. AT AT! I need you AT AT!!

New clip has been released So let me get this straight. There’s a scene in the movie, featured in all the trailers thus far, that involves a middle sized speeder that could be made with around 100 pieces, with exactly 4 stormtroopers and Lego didn’t think to turn it into a battlepack for the movie wave? This the TIE Avenger and as @BrickBob Studpants points out with TK Troopers… What is it with Lego and fumbling Imperial set opportunities currently?!

I would really appreciate some casting suggestions as were running out of users. I already have an idea for Red Guardian and Bucky has already been cast. Apparently not. Amazon numbers are nowhere as good as they usually are for dumb sets. I remember the U-Wing getting over 1000+ purchases in its first month. Meanwhile Vader’s TIE is the only one of these Smart sets to breach 400+.

We went from last year’s truly unique and awesome play-set GWP to one that’s just a relatively mundane buildable object (it still looks good though) I just finished episodes 5-6. TBoBF gets a set this year but MSL doesn’t?! Make it make sense! Shadow Lord is just amazing. It’s been a crazy week for villains repaying aura debt. First Thragg and now Marrok. But I’m now even more mad that it was 332nd troopers in the January BP. I maintain that it should have been TK Troopers!

It looks cool. And we’re closer than ever to GL Batman with the cowl recolour.

A communication disruption can only mean one thing…. I sense a plot to destroy the campaign. Good thing I’ve been harassing Bricktap /s (Day #360) All these reveals and not a single one for SW? Bring me the @@ already!! You know nothing of madness. You were not an inmate of the Aslume, but you’d have fit in quite nicely. You are strong in the Yuletide of the force. Most impressive.

If I’m being honest… this trailer isn’t doing anything for me. And they’ve gone and spoiled that the Hutts get defeated by a NR air strike. However I think the fact that we haven’t seen anything from Officer Bald who’s supposed to be the main villain suggests that they’re hiding something. We should have gotten the Hutt starfighter and an imperial remnant bp as sets though. And also from a new poster we should have gotten this: I never thought I’d be putting Harry Styles on my Spotify but PHM was just that good. Maybe next year… but nah we must get more Smart Play I guess. Maybe if Smart Play bombs hard enough this year Lego will scramble to replace any future planned set slots. Paving the way for something creative like NJ or… THE GODDAM TIE AVENGER!/s

(#356 of this Hail Mary of a project.) Another big issue in my eyes also is that the SW team don’t use the 18+/ collector subthemes to as much of its full potential as other themes do. Instead of the complex and intricate building techniques that Ninjago Legends and the new Marvel epic battle sets utilise, SW midiscale is literally “what if we made x vehicle smaller and smoother with no minifigs or play-features.” Give me an epic battle set depicting the Millenium Falcon’s and Wedge’s escape from DSII. Give me a Battle of the Heroes set that’s similar to the new Dragon Blade Battle. Give me a small diorama of Cal Kestis taking on a Mogu or Jotaz or one of the other large creatures with Merrin tag-teaming. Mace Windu on a AT RT curb stomping a AAT. Ahsoka vs Maul duel on Mandalore with pieces of shattered glass around them.. My point is that so far the 18+ sets have been rather rudimentary in design compared to the display lines of other themes. If they can’t offer us anything more exciting than play-sets, I’ll just stick to play-sets. But that might just be me.
