Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
CloneCommando99 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
A few things, 1. Because those were kids movies. All of which had no prior instalments that soured people’s taste of the film franchise’s brand. (Except for Mario, but everyone wanted to forget the live action movie from 30 years ago) 2. Captain America is still a household name. How did Brave New World do? I do not believe for a second that reported $180 million budget is true with all the reshoots. 3. Which iconic characters are actually part of the Avengers lineup in Doomsday? When the GA thinks of the Avengers they think of the original 6, the 4 2nd generations, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Now, who’s currently in Doomsday? Thor and arguably Falcon cap and that’s it. The rest are either Disney + characters from shows that a fraction of the GA watched or characters who haven’t been seen on screen in 5 years (Shang Chi). 4. Deadpool and Wolverine succeeded because of Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and the previous instalments being loved. Remember Deadpool was its own thing, not connected to the MCU, and therefore didn’t have Phase 4 and 5 to tarnish its reputation. 5. Oh the MCU is very much vulnerable. Why else do you think Disney/ Marvel execs thought it was necessary to pay RDJ the GDP of a small country to return? Or supposedly bring Chris Evans and the Fox X-Men back? They’re afraid. And they have reason to be. Even Superman, who you say is not making that much, is outdoing every single Marvel movie this year. You’re right to say that Supergirl has an uphill battle. But it doesn’t matter as much if it makes less. It’s certainly going to have a smaller budget than Doomsday and therefore won’t need to make as much money to be considered successful. And then there’s the matter of quality. Doomsday is still experiencing rewrites and has 30 characters (if not more if the rumoured upcoming 2nd cast announcement is true) to juggle within reportedly 2.5 hours of length. Meanwhile Supergirl, a very iconic character from before the era of superhero movies, has a completed script that is supposedly so good that the writer was subsequently hired to write both Teen Titans and Wonder Woman. Which one is more likely to result in quality? And therefore have a better chance with the GA now superhero movies are on thin ice. If you’re talking about the anti-woke crowd… yes they are annoying. And I assure you, my argument is in no way affiliated with them. I am just facing the facts. My apologies for yapping but the age of Marvel’s dominance is over. Doomsday and Marvel is under risk whether you like to accept it or not. -

I've been cheated of you since I don't know when So I made up my mind, it must come to an end Look at me now, will I ever learn? I don't know how, but I suddenly lose control There's a fire within my soul and I can hear a claxon ring (One more look) and I forget everything, whoa Tie Avenger, here I go again My, my, how can I resist you? Tie Avenger, will it show up again? My, my, just how much I've missed you? Yes, I've been brokenhearted Blue since the day Andor ended Why, why did I ever let you go? Tie Avenger, now I really know My, my, I could never let you go I've been angry and sad about things that you flew I can't count all the times that I've told you we're through And when you go, when you slam Andor I think you know that you won't be away too long You know that I'm not that strong and I can hear a claxon ring (One more look) and I forget everything, whoa Tie Avenger, here I go again My, my, how can I resist you? Tie Avenger, will it show up again? My, my, just how much I've missed you? Yes, I've been brokenhearted Blue since the day Andor ended Why, why did I ever let you go? Tie Avenger, even if I say Bye-bye, leave me now or never Tie Avenger, it's a game we play Bye-bye doesn't mean forever Tie Avenger, here I go again My, my, how can I resist you? Tie Avenger, will it show up again? My, my, just how much I've missed you? Yes, I've been brokenhearted Blue since the day Andor ended Why, why did I ever let you go? Tie Avenger, now I really know My, my, I could never let you go (Day #115 of asking Lego to make a Tie Avenger play-set) Similar preference here. I’m happy with anything imperial at large. As long as it’s versatile. Night Troopers aren’t exactly versatile. So it’s been a rough year bar the U-Wing. A set which I think myself and @Swordy have a consensus on being the best set of the year. @THELEGOBATMAN too. But for more personal reasons. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

I love all of these. Hopefully no smart bricks included though. The Mandalorian & Grogu wave predictions 75444 7+ ($44.99) this one I have two possible outcomes for considering the 7+ age rating. New Republic A-Wing: Zeb Orellious, Jonny Coyne’s imperial warlord, The Mandalorian and Grogu (this is a smart brick set) ITT: Jonny Coyne’s imperial warlord, 1-2 remnant stormtroopers, incinerator trooper/ scout trooper (uncertain) and imperial tank driver or The Mandalorian. 75445 9+ ($74.99) New Republic Y-Wing: Carson Teva/ Pilot, Sigourney Weaver’s character, New Republic Soldier and a astromech. 75446 10+ ($129.99) Razor Crest: The Mandalorian, Rotta the Hutt, Zeb Orellious, Grogu and Embo 75447 10+ ($149.99) AT AT: The Mandalorian, 2 Snowtroopers, 2 AT AT pilots and the Commander from the trailer. Please note: I’m only considering the Y-Wing and ITT (well an imperial tank) as possibilities because there were rumours circulating about them as potential 2026 sets a month ago. And neither of them have as of yet been debunked. My current August and June Waves 2026 set predictions (if they’re existent) Wolfpack Attack/ Corporate Alliance Tank Droid (£44.99/$54.99): Commander Wolffe, Sergeant Sinker, Corporal Comet, Wolfpack trooper and 3 Commando Droids. (Either a smart brick set or Lego just knew they could get away with another price hike) Republic Frigate (£159.99): Ahsoka Tano, Luminara Undilli, Assaj Ventress (reuse), Nute Gunray, P1 Commander Gree and 41st P1 clone. Buildable Mandalorian and Grogu (£199.99): The Mandalorian and Grogu (sound brick included) Buildable Babu Frik (£89.99): Babu Frik Republic Attack Shuttle (£149.99): Anakin Skywalker, P1 Captain Rex, Denal, P1 Clone Pilot and Count Dooku Death Star Microfighter (£12.99): Grand Moff Tarkin Rebuild the Galaxy S3 set (£???): includes Revan and Sig Greebling (smart brick set) Tie Avenger (£59.99): Cassian Andor (disguise), Range Trooper, Stormtrooper and Director Krennic Ahsoka S2 set (£???): includes Ezra, Thrawn and nightsister (maybe more?) Ahsoka S2 set (£???): Includes Ahsoka, Sabine and Baylan (maybe Shin too) What I’d like to see: Any and all Rogue One 10th Anniversary play-sets TIE AVENGER!!! Andor/ Rogue One imperial battlepack not a complete domination by one era not too many smart bricks or 18+ -

I mean, it currently appears to be an evil iron man movie. I think Doomsday will fail or make very little money. It’s got like at least a 500 million dollar budget if not more. Then it’ll need at least 100 million for marketing. Meaning it needs to make at the very least 600 million just to break even. General audience no longer stands with marvel. The cast is too stuffed to give everyone a satisfying character arc. 3/4 of the characters aren’t even well loved by fans. Spiderman, Dune Messiah and Supergirl are probably going to win the 2026 box office battle. I can’t see Mandalorian and Grogu doing that well either, not after season 3 and TBoBF. -

Tie Avenger? Tie Avenger? Tie Avenger? (Day #114) Also I think I’ve figured out Lego’s game plan with remakes: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogStatsWanted.asp?itemType=S&catID=65 Observe how many of these sets have been remade in some form or another over the last 18 months. Therefore, here are some things to look out for next year: Dropship and AT OT, Ewok Village, Krennic’s shuttle, Tie Striker, Republic Frigate, AV-7, Z-95 Headhunter, Corporate Alliance Tank droid, Palpatine’s arrest, old republic set? -

9th September I’ll probably wait for Black Friday double VIP points and Christmas themed promos though. I’d definitely buy that. But I’d argue that if any lantern is going to get made in the near future, it’s going to be Guy. Seeing how he’s the only Lantern that’s appearing in PG non-animated projects. Of course John and Hal’s popularity could completely nullify that. Also Lego may want to choose a lantern who Batman can assert dominance over, thus Guy since he gets clocked. -

Day #113 of Tie Avenger hoping I mean, his JFO variant was an anniversary figure last year. So I wouldn’t expect to consider seeing him in any RTG sets until they use a design of his Survivor outfit. -

And they said Infinity War would be the most ambitious crossover of all time… Cal, Jaxxon, Padme, Cassian, evil K2S0, Ahsoka, Porgill!! Look who’s back. Back again. Darth Jar Jar’s back. Tell a friend. Is there a lore reason why Solitus has more aura than any other Disney era villain? Lego please tell me you paid Cameron to voice Cal. And that a condition in the contract is that there must be a poncho joke in the script. Edit: Hunter’s there as well surprisingly. Edit (again): HOLY CRAP! REVAN’S IN THERE!! I REPEAT! REVAN’S IN THERE!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! Legends is being referenced. Mara might actually make an appearance. Rowan Freemaker, Mara Jade, Jek-14 and Starkiller in season 3? -

Day #112 of pestering Lego for a Tie Avenger. I hope you’re right. But I don’t entirely think they’ll go all out on M&G. Not when they’re obviously prioritising clone and 18+ sets. I’d like some Rogue One and Imperial Remnant sets. It’s just a real shame the 332nd took the cheap Battlepack slot for next year. The last exceptionally good January wave was 2022. 2023 was also good, but it should have kept up with minifig packs. Speaking of which, minifig packs should just return. They obviously sold well. And it would mean that Lego could cater to army builders of 3-4 different factions rather than just 2 a year (with one of that 2 always being clones for some reason) -

Today’s Tie Avenger post was inspired by the blasphemous sponge’s actions yesterday Day #111 of Tie Avenger campaign. (Bonus points for whoever gets this very paraphrased reference) Yes. Heresy will not be tolerated. Which is still a cardinal sin. The red ‘waifu’ will prevail. She wills the Tie Avenger But why would they do that? Surely Disney would want to promote its content. And Lego literally had nothing else to make but clone sets this year. The U-Wing is doing well. And hopefully that is the key to Tie Avenger. Actually, Andor S2’s premiere episodes were the last to be filmed. Particularly the Tie Avenger in the Sienar Hangar scene. Is that heresy I smell? The Tie Avenger will be made. Fate demands it. /s -

Gunn is coming in clutch with my comfort franchises this year. (Watch them adapt GL Mosaic for Kyle. It’s only fair, after John stole the Parrallax and rebuilding the corps saga) I also need a Green Lantern super Battlepack ASAP!!! Kyle, Hal, Guy, Jess, John and Kilowog are now all in the spotlight. -

“Even though large tracts of the theme and many old and famous sets have fallen or may fall into the grip of price gouging and all the odious apparatus of clone bro rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight (for a Tie Avenger) in Eurobricks, we shall fight (for a Tie Avenger) on the subreddits and discord servers, we shall fight (for a Tie Avenger) with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our theme, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the Lego house, we shall fight (for a Tie Avenger) on the Aslume forum, we shall fight (for a Tie Avenger) in the fields and in the streets (of Billund), we shall fight in the comment sections; we shall never surrender. And even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this forum or a large part of it were subjugated and starving (for sets), then our Empire sets beyond the wave, armed and guarded by the Tie Avenger Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the Tie Avenger, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the theme.” *Purely a parody of a famous speech btw, don’t lean into the name swaps too much* Day #110 of asking Lego to make a Tie Avenger. This is truly the theme’s darkest hour. I was thinking the Battle of Peridea was something to go off of. There’s no way that set was in development before the last 2 episodes of Ahsoka released. A pyrrhic victory for you indeed. A complete defeat for myself and others such as @BrickBob Studpants @BrickPrick @Lordhelmet and many more. If the leaked sketch of the X-Wing is anything to go by… the theme is royally ducked. Only the AT AT can save 1HY now. -

I would say that I was a fool to ally with you, o blasphemous sponge. But not to worry (any more than we already are)… Help me 75445. You’re my only hope. The campaign will continue until either Victory or Death For me, these were supposed to be the saving grace. The others are either Mando slop or clone slop. The AT AT will have some heavy lifting to do I guess. Congratulations @Mandalorianknight it appears you won the battle. But the war isn’t quite over. Not yet. This is where the clone bros army building day 1 no matter the cost has gotten us. Me too buddy. Me too. Agreed. But many AFOLs can’t hold the damn trigger for a couple of months. -

I believe clay said the Rebel and imperial sets might not be January sets. Set numbers in question for those who are interested: 75438 18+ ($49.99) Yoda bust 75439 18+ ($59.99) Vader bust 75444 7+ ($44.99) looking at price I’m going to guess this is a Wolfpack Battlepack 75445 9+ ($74.99) I’m going to treat this one as a failsafe in case 75421 isn’t the Tie Avenger I’m looking for. 75446 10+ ($129.99) I’m going to guess this is the inevitable new Razor Crest. As foretold by @Skiffle truly a prophet. 75447 10+ ($149.99) similarly I’m going to guess this is a play-scale AT AT for M&G (also prophesied by @Skiffle, he’s just that good and was in no way claiming the obvious /s) -

Someone tried to sabotage the Tie Avenger campaign. Never fear. I was able to find refuge in the Bricktap server. The attempt on my campaign has left me scared and misinformed, but I assure you that my resolve has never been stronger. (Day #109 of asking Lego to make a Tie Avenger) I think it’s cool. Just not £1000 cool. I especially like the hangar, cell block, elevator, corridor and control panels. The mini shuttle is cool too. Hopefully we get some good imperial sets to tie in with this. (Tie Avenger with Krennic, stormtrooper Battlepack, Endor bunker, sentinel class imperial shuttle, Vader’s Tie Advanced….) -

Someone tried to sabotage the Tie Avenger campaign. 76330: is almost certainly a Buildable bat logo. Or DC logo with the World’s Finest. Though I’d love this to be a T-Jet in the style of the Milano and AoU Quinjet. Or even a Batwing from Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong. 76331: Lego, please I beg you let this be a Green Lantern vs Sinestro mech duel pack (we know those are returning with Spidey vs Doc Ock). You can include Batman as the 3rd figure, or as the lantern for all I care. I just need some GL content. (BATB based with Guy, Sinestro and GL Batsy would be peak) 76332: my heart says T-Jet or Fortress of solitude, my brain says Burton Batmobile remake. Though the 9+ age rating is interesting. And it’s been a while since we had mid-size play-sets. -

But the inevitable Tie Avenger won’t be egregiously overpriced. Right? (Day #107) I do not plan on buying a single SW set for the rest of the year due to a combination of being awfully overpriced or repetitive clone slop. Instead, I’m going to have fun with Arkham which, unlike the majority of this year’s SW offerings, actually seems decently priced. I’ll of course wait for a 2x point and GWP window but still. What would I change about this year? (Aside from prices) Scrap the logo set entirely (waste of set slot) and replace it with a diorama Tie Avenger instead of play-scale slave one (unneeded and could have happened in 2027) Cut clone slop by a third-half (V-19 and ARC-170 honestly deserve to stay) Scrap Buildable Wicket. Replace with… anything that looks better Add another fig to the Force Burner. (Preferably a remixed character since those are the main draw of RTG imo) Reduce 18+ slop in favour of a more equal balancing of eras in play-sets. (In a year when Andor S2, EABF 10th Anniversary, TFA 10th Anniversary and ROTS 20 Anniversary happens, it’s unfortunate that only one of them gets properly celebrated and even then only in a half-arsed way since it’s just the clones and not the main characters from the movie.) Speaking of RTG. Where the Kriff is the Pieces of the Past Trailer. I yearn for the memes. -

“I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 weeks ago from which there's only one conclusion, I'm damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they've set me on a path from which there is no escape.” (Day #105) I was offline for 24 hours and you guys started yapping about Tie Avengers?! I’m so proud. Add Krennic as well for good measure. (He may not be in the scene, but he’s in the episode and is a major SW villain anyway) It better be. Agreed. It’d simply be barbaric. Endor Bunker as well I guess. Cough. Cough. *MaxBaut saying all SW fans would eat good this summer* cough cough Yeah. I’ve seen a lot of requests for a Tie Avenger both on the Andor and LSW subreddits. So there’s definitely demand. Granted, half of them were from my alt accounts, but still. /j Plus, due to the fact that Andor evidently managed to revitalise SW hype (as seen with the BF2 resurgence which happened immediately after) Lego would be fools not to capitalise on it. -

Day #104 of Tie Avenger campaign Speaking of which, I get that many people want the 104th next year, but they’ve already been made twice. A nice, juicy Tie Avenger would come with Range Troopers who’ve only been made once and a Tie Pilot variant which has been in no way been made before, aside from the fact it’s Cassian underneath the helmet. /j (I kid of course people are entitled to their own opinions even if they’re lost) Wow. Day #103 of Tie Avenger hunting. Probably when we get some concrete information from people like FalconFan, MaxBaut or LegoMinecraftGoat. But then again, I don’t want to risk a UT AT/ DS playset situation.
