By 2027 3/4 of the theme will consist of 18+ gimmicks and all play sets will be TCW based. I hope the Clone Bros are happy. 4/6 of all the known playsets next year are Clone Wars based. But they will still claim that they’re somehow being neglected and Lego hates them.

It might be due to less licensing costs. Buildable characters might only require the licensing cost for one character/ actor. Whilst a playset with multiple figures would require the licensing costs for the vehicle/ location, multiple characters and actors. Therefore Buildable characters might be cheaper to make. That may be why Lego is making more of them. (We know they cut costs where they can) U-Wing is easily my most hyped set for next year. I guess Buildable K2S0 also confirms that K2 will be in the U-Wing so that’s a silver lining.

The 2nd Andor set is a Buildable K2S0. (From LMF) Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! I wanted a Tie Avenger or Tie Reaper!!! (still sounds like a good choice for a Buildable figure though)

75417 is apparently a $199.99 18+ set. Ideally it’s an Endor Bunker modular or a ISD bridge diorama/ book nook Realistically and unfortunately it’s going to be a buildable mando? Isn’t it?

I have a feeling the planned Youzhan Vong arc was scrapped specifically because it would have jeopardised any of Disney’s plans for the sequel trilogy. We were robbed of Rex’s Top Gun. I will never forgive Disney for that.

Why won’t Lego make more Indiana Jones sets? Did Lego make a GI Robot prototype who destroyed all the German minifigs? Is that why Redskull hasn’t been in a set for 3 years?

No Hal’s only been made once (i don’t count the SDCC exclusive movie one) It’s GLC standard issue. Also it’s the same as: Nightwing, Robin, Green Arrow, OG Bucky, Spinneret… Jessica’s is even worse OUTRAGEOUS! HERETIC! BRIGAND! Oh wait, this isn’t a SW disagreement. I’m guessing you’re a JLU or Mosaic fan then? I like John but I feel like he’s not as colourful and doesn’t have as many great and notable storylines as Hal. (I am also very much miffed that he stole Kyle’s story in Beware My Power) I’M gonna give my current ranking of Human GLs. Fight me poozers. Hal Jordan Kyle Rayner Jessica Cruz (my anxious queen) John Stewart/ Guy Gardner (I loved their chemistry in ‘New 52 GLC’ and ‘Hal Jordan and the GLC’ runs.) Honestly, if the Clone Pilot set is indeed a V-19 Torrent (unlikely and pointless as the ARC-170 makes it redundant since they are both fighters) I’ll have to pass on it. I don’t really like the V-19’s design, and feel like there’s a good reason for why the ARC-170 and Z-95 replaced it in TCW.

We’re going to get another GL centred crossover event any month now. Trust me bro. It’s going to get better bro. Simon’s gonna get referenced any day now bro. Red Lanterns are gonna come back soon bro. Trust me bro. It hasn’t been downhill from Geoff Johns bro. DC’s gonna make a non American lantern soon bro. Kyle and Jessica (the best lanterns that aren’t Hal) are going to be in the DCU bro. Jessica is gonna start acting like her old self again soon bro… uj/ tbh this year was the best year for GL fans since Geoff Johns’ run ended (imo). We got: GL Alfred in DC vs Vampires, the announcement of a new GLC run, Kyle Rayner’s a White Lantern again, Hal Pauled his Paul so hard that he got superpowers, Hal got back with Carol (hopefully long term), Kong Lantern, Gunn absolutely cooking with the John Stewart casting and Guy Gardner getting his first solo storyline in a while (Guy’s bogus Lobo adventure)

Y’know what would be cool? A resurgence in DC x Marvel synergy. Updated amalgam designs (modern Harold Stark would be so sick), JLU vs Ultimates, Marvel Zombies x DCeased, etc… would all be awesome. As for current DC sets… should I abandon all hopes for a GL mech in January 2026? I have my entire Lego Arctic Assault division on standby. There’ll be more than Santa coming down the chimney in the Winter Village Collection this year. Just give the order. And we’ll show the minifigures what makes the grass grow.

If so, the empire might have a Karrde to play. And perhaps another big player smuggler of the red headed female variety.

Personally, I think that the bunker would lend itself well to an enclosed modular style 32x32 style baseplate. That way there would be enough space to include a bunch of cool rooms like armoury, holding cell, control room, barracks, entrance hall, potential back door to lead to a future expansion… That way it’s able to function as a playset whilst looking more rounded out.

Apparently there’s no Marvel advent calendar next year. With the sudden influx of figures we’ll be getting from Arkham and the Batcave could it be possible that there’ll be a Batman advent calendar instead?
