Screw them. Why couldn't DC do the same? Cartoons won't save them

DC doesn't make anything to base Lego sets on these days. TLG chokes the line in revenge!

Too bad we'll never get a TLBM-2. According to Chris McKey, it was going to be interesting! I was a big fan of TLBM at the time, but only acquired the Condiment King set last year... So many sets and characters... Many designs were weird, much like the 2004 Batman series, yet most new characters had classic looks. Now that Universal owns the Lego movie franchise, it's very unlikely we'll get a Lego DC movie

Lego doesn't have problems neither with tally marks (captain Rex), neither with scars (Harry Potter). So what's the problem with tally mark scars? OK, just kidding Personally, I would've preferred a Lego version of the Ventriloquist and Scarface. And Mad Hatter. They are more family-friendly than Zsasz

That's what I was thinking about! Zsasz appeared in Lego Batman videogames. Why couldn't they create a minifigure of him?

Always wondered why they can include 'non-family-friendly' characters in a videogame but not create an actual minifigure of them

After writing 7 characters' cards, I finally created a game board I am satisfied with - it's inspired by Jimmy 'the Jazzman' Peake's warehouse hideout from BTAS episode 'I am the night': Of course, I would've loved to build something more impressive, but I don't have enough bricks... Maybe I could try building the Iceberg Lounge from TNBA - like, the villains had a legal party there... But it's just my thoughts... The 2nd floor of the warehouse is filled with crates to hide behind: The first floor, however, has got canisters with exploding gas: When finished, the board game promises to be quite interesting...

Lego mainly produces sets based on movies, comics and sometimes TV series. Marvel has made so many movies and TV shows, that TLG even doesn't need to produce sets based on their comic. At the moment, DC has NOTHING to inspire Lego sets, so TLG had to turn to beloved classics just to keep the line going - something that deserves to be grateful for, actually. The problem is that TLG is cautious about making a lot of sets based on BTAS, so DCAU fans should unite their efforts in persuading TLG to go further into TNBA (my favourite), STAS and JLU! Hell, even BB would do. Despite all its inconsistencies, DCAU is an all-time classic! For DCAU-based sets!! Yeeaah!!! P. S. : I only recently became a BTAS and TNBA fan, yet...

Let's expect the worst. Like, Lego DC is dead, long live Lego Marvel! Whatever happens, we won't be disappointed.

I finally managed to create a decent minifigure of Gotham mayor Hamilton Hill. But I'm not sure if I will be able to make any more figures... That's all for now, I guess.

Based on what I heard of this series, it's not Timm's initial vision of BTAS, but rather a strange phantasmagoric tie-in to Reeves' The Batman, with a connection to the 2022 movie similar to what BTAS had with Burton's movies

I made a TNBA Scarface, though I prefer the BTAS Ventriloquist, and combined the two for perfection. Batman's chest symbol is now clear from extra non-erased bits, Black Adam uses TLBM Bruce Wayne head.

Three new characters here - Scarface's goons Mugsy and Rhino and a police officer.

It's time to remember the spiritual preceedor of The new Batman adventures - Batman the animated series! Although I don't consider all of BTAS canon (Barbara's age, Penguin's fingers and Hatter's height; etc), I agree it does have some connection to TNBA (please don't tell me they are both set in the same DCAU continuity, I am aware of that and disagree with it). Here are three villains from BTAS: the corrupt businessman Roland Daggett, Captain Clown (Joker's robot) and Jimmy 'the Jazzman' Peake:

I created a new Bruce Wayne minifigure - this time with a suit. I also slightly upgraded some characters: Scarface now has got a scar on his face and a new part for his legs; looks better than before. The policemen have black stickers covering their originally striped Ravenclaw ties. Alfred's got a new form-fitting moustache.

Sadly, they took noir detective's hat away from me, so Emergency Bullock was made! Aside from the custom paper fedora, like the one used on Scarface, black hair were added around his head. As of Joker, he got outdoor clothing: a hat and a coat. To me, it looks better than the previous version.

This was a titanic work. And I think it was worth. It's awesome. Wish I recreated ANH (the 1977 version) in stop-motion, but I will never succeed... Your builds are amazing!

I decided to upgrade some of my old villains. Rupert Thorne got an absolutely new torso with new sticker decor. Looks much better than the previous one, IMHO. Since I have only one pair of purple hands, and I gave them to Lex Luthor, the Riddler got black hands. I also gave him a head without a mask. Now he looks like a compromise between his looks in BTAS and TNBA - perfect for me! Mr. Freeze finally got red eyes - I painted them with a gel ink pen, the red can be erased without problem if necessary. The changes on Two-Face and Darkseid are hardly visible - Harvey's black suit side was upgraded. As of Darkseid - well, he's got a new, form-fitting mouth. "This is as far as you go, murderer." Finally - I laid my hands on the new noir detective minifigure, and here he is - Detective Harvey Bullock!!!

Thank you very much! To be honest, the wing dihedral on my model is excessive. I mounted the wings on an angle for better accuracy, yet they point upwards a little too much. This is actually one of the reasons why the wingspan resulted being less than it was supposed to be at 1/32. Here is a technical drawing of the actual airplane:

I don't know why, but this crazy idea struck me: "Why not build Sapozhnikov's Sopwith Snipe"? I googled images of the aircraft and decided - indeed, why not? I later realised that I've chosen the right moment - Red Army day was close. So here it is! This particular Sopwith 7F.1 Snipe was captured by the Red Army from British invaders during the Civil War and flown by ace pilot Grigory Stepanovich Sapozhnikov. This is my first serious biplane model. I never intended to build WWI-era aircraft before that. The build was assembled quickly due to its small size (approximately 1/32 scale). The main problem when building was to find the right parts - my Lego collection is a complete mess. Cockpit has an instrument panel, joystick and pilot seat and fits one minifigure The decals are hand-made. Sadly, I didn't succeed in recreating the 'Nelly' inscription bechind the cockpit. The model is quite rough and not very accurate. I am mostly disappointed with the wing mounting angle. Nevertheless, I am quite satisfied with the result. Hope you like it.

I decided to take a risk and paint Batgirl's head to give it a balaclava impression for better accuracy. I don't know whether it's the best I can achieve in my situation, yet I tried hard. I also modified the Flash's original head with stickers instead of using the previous Jason Todd head. I think I will never stop to upgrade poor Batgirl...
