  1. I think that's just a stone used to hold the rug down... As for anything new, I'm a little empty it seems. I haven't received any supplies in a while sorry. I hope I get some more soon, or we might start to go hungry. (OOC: Just to note, I too have exams right now, a which is why I haven't been around so much. They'll be finished by the weekend though. )
  2. Fernando, I once thought that you were innocence and simply paranoid, but with the amount of evidence that has arisen, I think we can safely vote for you, as you are certainly not helping our cause. I put my points forward earlier, and since a number of people appear to agree with me, I think I shall Vote: Inquisitor Fernando (ptdapen). Hopefully this conviction will be what saves our town from the grip of the devil. Now, as for a clue in the main post, I can't see it anywhere. Hang on, Phillip is staring at Joan's backside! Oh wait, that's nothing new. But seriously, can anyone else see it?
  3. Well that is a load of bollocks, and if that's not witch talk, I don't know what is. Your argument is weak my friend. How could you possibly use an example from a previous game to prove somebodies innocence? That's just plain stupid, and you know it. If you want to play like that, the I could say that the ancestor of our dear Father was a traitor in that same castle, and so that proves that he is a witch. Do you think we're stupid? I don't think anybody with half a mind would even consider that as evidence. As for the Inquisitor turning over his own kin, this happens more often than you think, and normally comes down to a power struggle or a way to try and make themselves look less innocent. Since you seem so determined to use past game play as evidence, you won't mind if I use it as an example? Good. You may remember Lord Rotrigous from that same castle in history. He himself was the leader in condemning Lord Ash as a traitor, because he wanted to seize power as the head honcho himself. As for yourself, I was uncertain before, but I am willing to believe now that you are a heretic, as well as the other two. I mean you three wont even consider this idea that you might be wrong, and I think the reason is because you know we are right, and that if we follow through with our theory we will unmask you. We have been told to think outside the box, but you three refuse to do so, which is why I am so suspicious of you. I see nothing to forgive Elisa. The times are hard, and you were following what you thought right at the time. I'm glad that you are looking into the evidence presented to us more deeply now though. Current vote tally, since we don't have Charles to do it for us: Inquisitor Ferando (ptdapen): 3 Gustavus (Norrington): 2
  4. Dragons free stuff. Count me in!
  5. Now this is a major turn in events. Charles is on to a major theory to reveal some witches (or so he believed) and then he is suddenly killed during the night and unconvincingly declared a heretic by his target. I was indecisive yesterday, but I do feel that this new evidence gives his idea some credence. Let us get a few things straight first. Firstly, the killer was most likely Miguel, as he is the only confirmed night killer in the town. I'll come back to this point later. Secondly, we were told by Tiny P yesterday to think outside the box. This tells me that there is most definitely some truth behind what Charles had to say. It is nigh impossible that we have caught 5 witches already and that we have another two "supposed" witches from the Inquisitor, and most likely another one from his most recent investigation. That makes 7 or 8 witches, if everything were to be believed. We already know for a fact that there are far less witches than there are citizens. So even if there are 8, which there are not, I cannot honestly believe that we have ferreted them all out already. Tiny P did not confirm that what he says in his posts is truth, and so that has lead me to believe that perhaps Charles was right, and that perhaps some of those that have been convicted are in fact not witches at all. The other main point that came up to negate this, and I think I mentioned it, is that if people are falsely condemned then they would be bitching about it in the discussion thread. However, in the fairness of the game, I would say the Tiny P sent them all a Potato Message telling them that they were intentionally shown as heretics when they should not have been. This would explain a lot to me. Yesterday was undecided, but I think this new evidence has given us a solid poke in the right direction. It is my belief that the Inquisitor is lying to us, and the only explanation I can think of is that he is a true heretic. I think we should discuss this a little more before making our decisions, but right now, I am willing to go after Fernando as my top suspect. He has lied about me, and I am sure that he is lying about some of the others too. It is my opinion that this game is like no other Mafia Game we have ever played, and that we must "think outside the box" to win. Charles may have been declared a witch, but I highly doubt that he truly is. How can you honestly declare someone a witch from the way they bleed? No, this trouble with the Inquisitor has gone far enough; it needs to stop now. I fear that it may already be to late for us, but if we can get a clear answer today and tidy up this messy affair, then perhaps we still have a chance of ridding this town of the evil presence that is here.
  6. People please, remember this commandment. There is nothing worse than a cranky host so we better adhere to his rules.
  7. Nice witch hat Hinck. I think it suits you.
  8. You always did know how to spice up a game Hinck.
  9. Well I wouldn't say your right, however I do think that we should definitely consider your theory and look into it tomorrow. Hopefully with some fresh evidence we will be able to be more certain about either one. That said, Charles, good on you for sticking to your idea and not succumbing to peer pressure, your theory may just turn out to be founded on some fact. We must still be cautions however, a mistake here could cost us all dearly. There are still a number of things to clear up around both theories before I am entirely convinced. If we look into everything clearly and thoroughly tomorrow, then I am sure we can find the truth of this matter. This has given me quite a bit to think on, so I can't say this night time discussion was a waste of time. I shall share my ideas in the morning, once we find out what happened during the night.
  10. As much as your theory could make sense, this is the major point I must disagree on. Note the word misleading. Misleading is when he says one thing but means another, or where an innocent action can appear evil in a certain context. He does not however state that he will lie to us and provide false information. Game Moderators just don't do that sort of thing, as you should know. It would be very helpful if Tiny Pius could confirm weather the information written outside of the plot is correct however. As far as Mafia games go, it is a tradition, nay, an unwritten law, that what the moderator writes in the first post is correct. It may often be misleading, but it is always correct. Imagine what sort of bitching would have gone on in the previous games if the Moderator had decided to give false information to the players. I would never have heard the end of it! I can't say that your theory is false, but I do think that it is highly unlikely, at least this part anyway. If we can't accept that the people we've killed already are heretics, how in the world are we going to find the rest of them? We need to start focusing on the living, not on the dead. That all said, I think that once we have a little more information tomorrow it should be clearer to me who the heretic is in this whole business. Until then, let's try and get a little sleep, shall we?
  11. Alexander, I think you must be refering to this quote I found in an old book. Quote MafiaWiki (For full article, refer to this page.) As you can see, this just states that the Cop may decide to stop investigating once it is clear that they are paranoid. I cannot think of anywhere that I have read that the paranoid cop can eventually start finding correct results; paranoia isn't fixed that easily, it's a serious condition you know. Why are we still up? Didn't someone say we should go to bed? Oh right, that was me.
  12. What, where does it say that? I must be a bit slow since it's the middle of the night.
  13. I shall rephrase. What the Game Moderator says out of the story line is law. This is not up for discussion. There, happy? Now go to bed!
  14. People, really, don't you think this sort of discussion is a little heated for the middle of the night? It isn't normal for us all to be up late discussing things, how will we be able to do anything properly tomorrow if we're all tired? Perhaps we should sleep on this all, and then we can come to some proper decisions tomorrow. That said, I do have a couple of things I want to add. Firstly, we need to get our facts straight, as a lot of confusion is stemming from what we do not know for fact. 1. We have so far convicted 4 heretics/witches. This is not up for discussion; what God says is law. 2. The Inquisitor has only delivered one heretic to us with his investigations. (I believe this to have been a fluke however) 3. A persons role cannot change halfway through the game. If the Inquisitor is paranoid, which he surely is, he is not going to suddenly start making correct investigations again. That's not how these things work. To me, it is apparent that the Inquisitor is either paranoid or a heretic. I myself am more inclined to go with him being innocent but paranoid, however there is still Charles' theory of the three witches. What we really need is some solid evidence to confirm either opinion. Letus consider a couple of things. If the Inquisitor was a witch from the beginning, why would he have bothered to investigate another witch, Bernard? Why would he be investigating at all? A witch has no need to try investigating, as they already know everyone's alignment. This particular point is why I think it is more likely that he is paranoid, and thus simply always comes up with heretic results, but is himself innocent. This does not help our problem however. We still have this battle raging between Charles and Alexander. There are strengths and weaknesses in both their arguments, so it is hard to tell which is correct. We will eventually need to vote for somebody tomorrow, the question is, who? I'm not sure I want to vote for the Inquisitor as I believe him to be innocent, even if is investigations are wrong, but I don't want to vote for Charles or Alexander either, as there is the possibility that they are both innocent and simply have very these big ideas they want to get out. That said, either one of them is smart enough to pull off being a convincing citizen whilst still being an evil heretic. If you ask me, I think we should drop this argument for now and await fresh evidence in the morning, as we are clearly getting nowhere with this. I for one want a bit of sleep before we start trying to solve all this tomorrow. Good night everyone, go to bed!
  15. Now that is awesome. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some of those if I can. It's always very hard to get the exclusives when you live in NZ. I managed to get myself a needler, but that took some effort. So now they are going into mass production are they? Make up your minds will ya!
  16. Now I'm willing to listen to many arguments, but that Alexander is absurd. What would be the point in one of these games of life if there were no heretics? What would be the winning criteria? No, I think that idea is a little silly, no offence meant. As for your last statement, I have never before ever heard of such a situation, and I do not think it would be fair if such a case were true. Besides, if God did declare people to be heretics when they are not, don't you think those dead people would be bitching about it in the discussion thread, much like I'm bitching about the Inquisitor calling me a heretic? I highly doubt that God is lying to us, it just would not be right. You know between the two of you, Alexander and Charles, you have managed to get me very confused. I don't know what to think now.
  17. I second that. I for one think your paranoid Fernando, so it is possible to me that you are indeed innocent. That is what I thought until Hinckley brought up his points. Hopefully tomorrow your next investigation shall be able to shed some light on this matter.
  18. You are both making very good points. This is always the problem when two head-strong players go against one another. There is one thing that I think we should consider. There are still witches amongst us, and it is my belief that either Charles or the Father are a heretic. One of then must be, as they are very clearly against each other, and some of you may remember this conflict from Day 1. The question is, which one? If we follow Charles' theory, then we would be going after the "three witches" as it were, and this includes the Father. He suggests that the best way to prove his case would be to kill the Inquisitor, someone who has not been giving correct Investigation results recently. Or we can follow the Father, who claims that obviously Charles has been turned in the night, and that he is the witch. Either way, there are some definite sides forming now, and we are each going to need to decide who we believe is telling the truth. Which ever way we go, we will soon know the truth of the matter. Here are a few possible things that could happen, as I see it. 1. We follow Charles' theory and convict the Inquisitor. He turns out to be a heretic, so we follow the rest of his plan. 2. We follow Charles' theory and convict the Inquisitor. He turns out to be innocent, so we convict Charles as the heretic. 3. We follow the Father's theory and convict Charles. He turns out to be a heretic, so the case is solved. 4. We follow the Father's theory and convict Charles. He turns out to be innocent, in which case we follow his plan and convict the three witches. To me, these seem like the four most likely outcomes of our discussions. No matter how it goes, we will eventually learn the truth, but we must choose wisely if we are to prevent any innocent people from being killed. Personally, my gut feeling is still to go with Charles, yet Alexander makes some excellent points that shouldn't be ignored. Tomorrow, once we get some new evidence (I hope), we can start to look into this whole thing a bit more deeply, and then perhaps we will see which side is God's side, and which is the devils. As I said from the beginning, this game... of life... will get dirty, but we must try to hold together and continue to think clearly. We must hear both sides of the story in full before making a decision. The fate of the town could rest on this one.
  19. Father, I do agree with what you say. It was my initial thought that the Inquisitor is simply a paranoid torturer, but innocent despite that. And yet, Charles' theory makes a lot of sense to me, although I don't think we should kill the Inquisitor to test it. What you have said has got me thinking a little however, so I will continue to look at this situation and let you all know what I think of it in the morning. I must say I am quite confused now on which way I should turn. One thing I just want to clean up is that the Inquisitor has only actually been directly involved in one conviction, that of Bernard. He never investigated any of the other's we have so far convicted. This is why I think that his this single piece of success was a fluke and that he is actually paranoid; that and the fact that I know I'm innocent. When I said that thing about 6 people, I was referring to the fact that if we believe God is telling the truth (which in all respects should be most likely, for it is very unfair if God deceives us in his own posts), then the Inquisitor has declared 4 people as heretics, and also believes myself and Sergio to be heretics too. Anyway, I really don;t know what to believe now. There are clearly two sides here. On one side, Charles has his idea that the Inquisitor (as well as the Father and the Torturer), is a heretic, and that he is lying to us. From what I can see I would be very happy to believe this, and at the moment I think I do, however there are two points that nag at me. First, I do not think that God would lie to us about who is a heretic or not, as that sort of thing just doesn't happen in these sorts of games, and it would be very unfair if it did. Secondly, there is the fact that I still think the Inquisitor is more likely a paranoid torturer rather than a heretic. However Charles seems convinced his theory is correct, and is even willing to lay his life on the line to prove it, something that I myself can relate to. Is this, however, an all-cards-in, last-chance-attempt to try and turn our votes? I really don't know now, I was so certain before, but there is just to much conflicting evidence to be certain. I have decided that I will hear a bit more from both sides before I make my final decision. How I hate it when the correct path is not clear. Anyway, it is late, so perhaps we should continue this in the morning? That would be the proper thing to do, these late-night discussions will only make us grouchy tomorrow.
  20. Hinck, it has been more than a month, and you still haven't even commented on my latest MOC. You could at least index it, please don't ignore me... I thought you might need a little reminder. I think there are a few others that still need indexing too, so you guys might want to look into that. Keep up your great work!
  21. I heard all of you talking out here and I thought I would come join the discussion. Not quite true, remember my theory that he is paranoid? I still think it very likely that he is, but now on to the hot topic that is keeping us all up. Charles, you have brought up a very interesting point, and I am glad to see that you are now looking beyond the face value of what we are given and are reading things into what we are told. This is the sort of thing God likes to see. Now, what you have to say is extremely controversial, yet it makes quite a bit of sense. For one thing, I have always thought that you are innocent, and the fact that you are willing to lay your life on the line if you are wrong, just like I am with my paranoia theory, makes me want to believe you over what the Inquisitor has to say. I am of course more likely to believe you since I know for a fact that the man is lying about me. If what you say is true, then it may already be to late for the town. I pray that Miguel has made a good decision with his night action, and that we can learn something from it. Although there is some opposition to your word Charles, I am inclined to believe it, as you are showing clear thinking and the reaction of the Father just now has made me think even more on what you had to say. No innocent priest would be that scathing of another, and be that certain that you are a heretic. No, if he were pure as he claims to be, he would at least consider what you have to say as something coming from an innocent man. I think that if we want to survive this we are all going to need to take some risks, and myself, I am going to throw myself in with Charles, as I think he is one of the few here who is trying to talk some sense, trying to get us somewhere. It truly is just to much to believe that the Inquisitor would have found 6 heretics already, and not make even one mistake. That's just not how these games work. I understand that many of you mistrust me because of what the Inquisitor says, but he is surely a fake, and whether he is a paranoid towns person or a deceitful heretic, he is causing far more confusion in this town than good. Either way, something is not right with his investigations, and I for one want to know the truth of it. For now, I suggest we go to our beds, as is the normal protocol of these games of life, and then take up this discussion in the morning. I am sure that whatever new evidence we get with the new day should hopefully help us in our decisions about this theory and the matter of the Priest, the Inquisitor and the Torturer.
  22. No no, quite the opposite my dear friend. The point I am trying to make is that it is already obvious to most that there is something up with your investigations, and by killing me you would simply be proving that you are wrong, a fact we have already pretty much established. I do not point out that your investigations are true. They are not. They are paranoid and not to be trusted, as we will very likely see again tomorrow. Pure and simple. As for my other little theory, remember, you are the one that tells the Inquisitor the result, and then you forget it afterwards. That is what you told us, or do you want to change your story? Anyway, from what you said, it is possible that you could be telling the Inquisitor lies. As I said though, I personally just think that the Inquisitor is paranoid, and we will most definitely see another example of this paranoia tomorrow.
  23. I rest my case, Hernan. Let us give a toast to more repetition in the future!

    Lego Boxes

I've got a bit of a problem with boxes I must say. I flatten all the ones that can be flattened, and store them inside the boxes that can't be flattened easily, that is, the ones that have opening lids and solid sides. This does however leave me with lots of bigger boxes That I don't know what to do with. At the moment I have some stacked in a pile on the floor, and the rest slowly turning to mush in the garage. Not really the best solution, if I must say so myself. One day soon I'll eventually get around to finding some clear wrap, and then I'll wrap all the boxes and store them in the attic or something. I always keep my boxes though, I would never dream of getting rid of them. I'm just sad that I didn't have the same mind set that I have now when I was a wee fellah. Ah well, life is cruel, and then we die, so stay happy people!
  25. I'm sorry you feel that way Charles. Of all the people, I thought you at least might have the sense to look beyond the face value of what we are told. Do you honestly think that God would make it so simple for us? Do you truly believe that the Inquisitor speaks truth? Trust me, I am betting my own life on the fact that I believe that tomorrow our dear Inquisitor will come back with another cry of heretic, and the next day, and the next. I bet if he were to investigate you you would not be so quick to point fingers, perhaps you might even see the truth of the matter, for I believe you are an innocent man yourself. I understand that I may look suspicious because of this whole thing with the investigations, but you must trust me that I am no heretic. Do you honestly believe that a heretic would rely on another towns person to always get guilty results? No, the Inquisitor has made a mistake, and I am sure he will continue to make that same mistake. You believe what you want for now, but I bet in a few days you will all come around to my viewpoint, as the Inquisitor proves for me that he is paranoid. For the sake of the town, we need to start trying to find new clues, ones which actually hold some meaning, for we cannot rely on the Inquisitor's word alone to be evidence of a conviction. Oh and Hernan, as I was the 10th person to vote, I don't think I joined that early. Even if I had voted first however, I stand by my vote as I feel that the evidence we have points towards you being a heretic. So do the 9 other people who have voted for you. If you are innocent, then may your soul rest in the wonders of heaven, however I personally am hoping for a fourth heretic conviction.
