  1. Ah, Euston, we seem to have lost some poll votes. Who stole my vote!
  2. Max tries a selection of various other passwords related to the cryptogram, none of which work. It seems they have already gained all the information they can from this particular cryptogram.
  3. I too love the barding Lego has made, they just add another touch of detail that is always sought after. The prints on these are fantastic too! I have them all except the Shogun, Majestic Knight, and I don't think I have the Imperial Knight. Ah well, I'll get them eventually. My favourite has to be... the Holy Knight (#2). Of the two dragon themed ones, this one has the clearest look and is more appealing to me compared to the other. I love all the others too, but my absolute favourite has to be a dragon one, so there you go. If I had to chose a non dragon favourite it would be the Imperial Knight as it has such a cool print and looks very royal. This is a neat topic idea, I look forward to seeing what the rest of you have to say.
  4. Max looks at the computer. It states that the time is 10:56pm. It seems you have been in the house for a good couple of hours already. The deleted items folder is empty, as are all the others except the inbox. Max opens the first email. It appears to be from somebody familiar, and reads as follows: Lord Chester, Your continued refusal to sign the documents to register your estate in the DHPT is beginning to aggravate my client, and I fear that if you do not comply soon, we may be forced to take action, if you understand my meaning. My client feels that his offer of five hundred thousand dollars for you to open your collection to the Trust is quite reasonable, and cannot understand why you would not accept the offer. As an esteemed businessman I'm sure you will see the right of this situation, as any further negotiation will result in both parties losing out. I hope that you give this offer all due consideration. Yours Sincerely, ~P. Crawford Closing that email, Max opens the second one. It is from an anonymous source and reads as follows: Chester, I have received a report recently indicating that you are considering opening the Retreat to outside visitors. I have also been hearing rumours about some other doings of yours in relation to the eastern wing. I do hope that I need not remind you that the owner of the mansion would not at all be happy if you began taking liberties. He suffers your family looking after the place for him because it is necessary, but if you break any of the terms of our agreement... well let us just say that I would not want to be in your situation. Have a pleasant Christmas. Kindest Regards, ~The Guardian There is nothing else that you can access on the computer with this particular password.
  5. Right, well I've posted my Dragon Sled. Hope it's OK. I;m quite pleased with it. Ahem, um, go Dragonator Clan!! We will defeat you all! :skull: Eat fire you snow-loving slowcoaches.
  6. Now for my entry. Lord Dragonator is proud to present the Dragon Sled. Straight from the famous factories of Dratos city, the Dragon Sled combines all the aspects of the dragon to give a winning machine. Power, strength, ferocity, wisdom, and a beautiful streamlined exterior all add together to make this a machine to leave your opponents in the slush behind it. That and the huge flaming engine on the back. Did I list fair as an aspect? I don't think so. This premium snow box is one of a kind, and was specially commissioned by his Lordship, Lord Dragonator, to participate in the famous Snow Box Derby held by TheBrickster. It will of course be piloted by him in the event. Now let's take a look at the beast. The Front: The Back: Side On: Top View: Without the Driver Front Back More Pictures: Front On Back On Other Side The Driver beside his Sled: And last but not least, a link to the full gallery. (when public) That's all folks!
  7. "You are going down!" Hey, that's not very nice! Down with TheBrickster!
  8. Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been dropping in as often as I should. It looks like many of you have been busy recently, I'm loving all these new creations that are coming through. I won't comment on everything, but the recent ones have been great, in particular the Tapestry Weaver which I absolutely love! I think the design for the loom is ingenious, and the various different minifigs really do add to the overall model. Darkagent has some neat ones coming in now too, they're all really well designed. I love the tax collectior, he's a greedy old bugger isn't he? Keep up your efforts guys, this team is fantastic! I'm just sorry I don't have anything to contribute yet. This is going to be one of the best castle towns ever! Aw thanks. I'm going to be working on the main gatehouse, however not for a month or so yet, as I have to finish my CCCVI siege entry in the next couple of days and then I'm going to be away for a while. You build whatever you want to next, as your first couple have been great!
  9. Max types in the word money into the log in screen. Instead of logging in however, the screen flicks to an email inbox. It seems that this password only gives limited access to the computer's email system. Looks like we won't be able to check up on what's going on at EuroBricks after all. I do hope nobody's starting any Mafia games without me us... The inbox contains 2 messages from the last week. Any other messages must have been deleted. Michael decides to have a look under the suits of armour. The one in the north-western corner is firmly attached to the ground, however you can move the two near the eastern doorway. There is nothing underneath either of them.
  10. I would love to, however I'm going to be cleaned out by New Year, so unfortunately not this time around. There are some great sets I want to get on S@H, but I first need to pay for the Falcon, USC AT-ST, General Grevious and Green Grocer I've already ordered. So yeah, sorry I can't this time, but there may be a few others around who would be interested. It truly is a pain the shipping charges they have to NZ. I mean, 80NZD to ship a single set is ridiculous!
  11. The Chef tries frisking the portrait with no results, and so starts running around the room. Peter then goes over to the portrait and twists the small spiral in the bottom right corner. Another click is heard, and the portrait swings out on well oiled hinges. Behind it you discover a computer terminal, complete with a scanner and printer. The screen is currently showing a login bar, which requires a password. Peter then walks over to the chair at the eastern end of the table and sits down. It is very comfy, and he literally sinks into the velvety cushions. Nothing happens however... Dr. Grimsworth moves the big chair aside. There is nothing underneath it. Dr. Phil realigns the crooked pike. Nothing happens, although it is much more aesthetically pleasing now. Max runs his hand inside the shallow gash. There is nothing there, but you note that the edges of the gash are still rather sharp; it must be fairly new. John's key does not fit in the impression in the space padded with velvet; a slightly smaller key would though. A bit disgruntled, John wanders over to the table and, seeing nothing suspicious, starts munching on one of the juicy apples.
  12. Pushing the crest on the suit of armour does not achieve anything other than making it wobble...
  13. Max looks closely at the gash. It is rather shallow, and quite thin, and is approximately 7 inches in length from what you can see. Dr. Phil meanwhile is examining the tall pikes. They are rather ornate and appear to be more for display than practical use. The one on the right (when facing the doorway) is slightly crooked compared to the one on the left.
  14. Pushing the kitchen button and the small crest at the same time does not give any results. You do note however that pushing the crest again does not produce the click again; whatever it did must already be done. The cable returns to the kitchen, minus the missing dumb waiter. Max examines the dumb waiter shaft. There seems to be a shallow gash in the stonework opposite the hatch, but other than that there is nothing of any note.
  15. I would but I, um, didn't build the whole room. Sorry. I purposefully did it in this case however as the idea is that there are a lot of things in the room, many of them distractions, which is designed to make it harder for you to find the real clues.
  16. Dr. Phil lifts up the candelabra in the centre of the table. It is very heavy; probably filled with lead. There is nothing underneath it. He then walks over to the two statues near the east entrance. Other than the pikes, they are exactly the same as those in the hallway. (If you want to examine anything closely you will need to specify ) Miss Sandy approaches the large portrait to the left of the cabinet on the south wall and pushes the small crest on the left edge. A small click is heard, but nothing else happens. Hmmm, perhaps you need to do something else as well? suggests Lord Dragonator.
  17. Wow, nice haul you got there! These sets are really cool, I absolutely love the Orient Expedition sets, I picked them all up back when they first came out, and I'm glad I did. You got them all for an excellent price, especially getting the Dragon Fortress in there as well (my favourite set in the series by the way ). I just love all the nifty play elements they have in all the sets, and the fact that they follow a story line with comics etc is cool too. Have fun building them!
  18. Hey Staudie, where are you hiding? If you're out there, your fans need you! I really miss our weekly interviews...
  19. An excellent idea Miss Sandy! The handkerchief is pure white, and has the initials C.D. embroidered into one corner in gold thread. The button does not match those on the coat. Has anyone seen Dermot or Bernard around? We haven't heard anything from them since we entered this room. I hope they aren't running off with any of the expensive armour out in the hallway...
  20. The detectives (mainly Peter and Max) are working their way through the booze at an impressive pace. Peter staggers over to the table and presses the dragon in the middle of it. A small click is heard, and a section of wood pops out of the side of the table. Inside is small space padded with velvet. There is the impression of a key in the middle, but no key. Max continues to scrutinize the table, and suddenly exclaims "Haha! I knew you had missed something Michael! There is a napkin missing from the table!! Oh I'm amazing..." Other than that, the table does not reveal anything else of any note.
  21. The chef presses the top button labelled kitchen. A whirring noise can be heard from behind the hatch, which the chef opens (I presume you wanted to do that?). The hatch reveals a long shaft, which Max correctly identifies as a dumb waiter for bringing food up from the kitchen. There is a long cable inside. The whirring stops and you press the call button. The whirring starts again and the cable moves up. Instead of a lift arriving however, a severed end of cable arrives instead. Meanwhile Max is steadily working his way through the bottle of whiskey. He takes a close look at the frame of the portrait, and identifies a two small oddities. The bottom right spiral goes in the opposite direction to all the others, and a flower halfway up the left edge contains a small carved dragon...
  22. Max looks under the table. You see nothing that Michael hadn't already spotted. What exactly would you like to examine on the portrait? asks Dragonator. While Max contemplates this point, he opens the whiskey and takes a swig. It certainly helps to warm up your insides.
  23. Or perhaps a mince pie would be more fitting. With a glass of milk. Or something like that.
  24. Now now, calm down my good sir, you are becoming paranoid. You're sure you don't need to see a doctor or something? Anyway, if you want to go start pushing some dragons, please specify which ones and do so calmly. This house can cause enough hysteria as it is... It seems that the owner of this house is obsessed with dragons. They seem to be everywhere, don't they?
  25. Oh I like this one it's all... Christmas-y... Nice job Hinck, but then we wouldn't expect any less. Although perhaps the main one should have the site name in it?
