There's no need, EuroBricks is a mental institution. We just like to keep it a little hush hush. Anyway, there's no need to worry, you'll soon come to accept your new-found craziness. Although you might have a hard time accepting some of the voices that come with it. Has any one seen my staff? Hey, this is the first time I've spoken since- Shut it Majiko. Please, just be quite for one minute. I can't bear it any more... ...See what I mean.

Mystery Manor - Chapter Four
Dragonator replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Stumped by the new coded message, the group, prompted by Miss Sandy, decides to retrace their steps in the hopes of unlocking another room. First they return to the ballroom and try the chunky black key in the door at the top of the stairs. It does not fit however, so the group returns back to the main foyer. They find again that this key does not unlock the door down here. Frustrated they turn to their host, wondering if he might be able to help. Well I'll certainly see if I can draw a map for you later, but you seem to be stuck at the moment. You are missing the keys to these two doors, and you still have an unexplained half of a key with Max there. I suggest you pool some ideas about what to do next, and if you are still stuck, well I might have thought of something helpful by then. I do think the Parlour still has a couple of secrets to reveal, such as the message... -
Opps, I'm talking in circles. All these long names, I keep getting them confused, sorry. I guess since Iertiatieri is dead I kind of sound a bit stupid now. Perhaps I should shut up before I embarrass myself any further. Going back to our two night killers then, now that I can get their identities right (guess I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought ), I must say that I am not sure either way about either of them. So yes, I guess that wasn't really very helpful... All in all though, the main focus right now should be on Pavarti and Willie. I think we should vote for Pavarti. What say the rest of you? My lovely wife sounds happy to vote for her, what about the rest of you?

Not my fault you're all chatting, leaving me to snooze in the corner. (Please remember I'm in a different time-zone to all you Americans. ) I did speak up only a few hours ago, but everyone ignored what I had to say... Now, I have, in my dozing, been following the conversation, and I must agree with the verdict that both Pavarti and Willie must be killed. It is the only way to be certain. I would suggest that we vote off Pavarti now, and let one of the night killers take care of Willie. In terms off the night killers, I must admit I find it hard to believe that they are both loyal. I have full confidence that Inertiatieri is loyal (up to this moment of course, we must not forget that the rats can convert to some unknown extent), however I am not as sure of Trexxisanti. However, I could be wrong, but I just have a feeling. Anyway, I would be happy to vouch for Inertiatieri's loyalty up to this point in time, he is a good chap from what I can see. Now, I suggest we do some voting before the day is up. All in favour of Pavarti please raise your glass bottle.

Mystery Manor - Chapter Four

Max takes a look at the glass dragon. It is approximately 5 inches (12.5cm) high, and is of a rearing dragon. It is supported on three elegant legs which spread out from the end of the tail close to the surface it is standing on (the actual legs are not on the ground, so it is most likely flying). The wings are spread and look very delicate. The head is quite long, with two large nostrils at the end of the snout. Three large spines protrude horizontally from the back of the head, and some smaller spines run down the neck to meet three more large spines on the back. Some more smaller nobly spines run down the tail. In terms of colouring, it is made of colourless glass, with a solid almost liquid-looking red colouring in the wings, body, neck and tail. All in all, it looks very pretty. -
I'm here honey. This day is certainly not going to be a milestone of happiness for our family. We've witnessed two killers come out into the open, right after the deaths of two innocents, and we seem conflicted on what to do. I would recommend caution, which is wise in most respects. I am uncertain of whether our two killers are both loyal or if one is a rat. Personally I would be more inclined to believe one of them to be a rat, but I'm uncertain. It all seems very messed up. If we follow Ian's suggestion and don't vote for either of them, leaving two killers free to take any one of us out during the night, who should we vote for instead? Because Iris will get angry if we don't vote for someone today. Dickie seems to be keen for Pavarti, what say the rest of you? As yet I am unsure who I want to vote for, I want to hear a bit more from the rest of you first before making a decision. Has anyone voted yet? It would be good to know now...

A very good point; it's all nice having our own little stories but we should try and connect them all in some way otherwise there isn't much of an interaction side to this game.

Mystery Manor - Chapter Four

Careful with that, it's expensive! That is, um, it looks expensive. Yes. Anyway, as I said earlier, it isn't a cryptogram, so try a different method. I can assure you that it is solvable. -

Peter takes out the digital camera and turns it on. It contains 42 pictures all of which depict various shots of the outside of the manor, the majority from the other side of the river. There are no other photos on it. Miss Sandy meanwhile takes a look at the music sheets, most of which are works by famous composers (Bach, Beethoven, Schubert etc. ). You do not find anything out of the ordinary. You also carefully look inside the bowl and two vases, however they are all empty... -
Well when we revived this whole thing I did sort of give reference to an "evil" force that was rising in the land. I have a couple of big bad guys lined up for my kingdom; they may have interests elsewhere as well though, if you like.

Since this isn't a cryptogram I'm sure you'll be all right then. This one is quite hard, give it a good shot but if you can't get it then I will probably have to give a little help. It is possible to solve without a clue though. -

Miss Sandy walks over to the sideboard and takes a look. There is a lovely white embroidered cloth covering the polished wooden top, and centred on this is a modern piece of Ceramic. It is a boat-shaped bowl sitting on a tripod, done in various shades of blue and green. It looks rather expensive. Also on the sideboard are two vases, one on either side of the Ceramic sculpture, depicting twinning Chinese-style dragons done in soft blues. There are two large draws in the sideboard. The left one contains a pile of sheet music, a metronome, and a tuning fork. The right one contains a poker set, six packs of Bicycle-branded playing cards, a roulette roller and cloth playing mat and a small tin containing assorted dice. On the top is a digital camera inside a pouch. There is also a cable with three round plugs at one end (coloured yellow, red and white) and a small square plug at the other. I'll see what I can do. John meanwhile takes a look at the pen. There are no markings on the outside. Opening it reveals the ink compartment (which is three quarters full) but no note. It is just an ordinary pen. -

Personally I think it is unnecessary to quote something, as in reality you can't quote someone who spoke to you last night. I think it is fine to share what is sent to you though, just in your own words not quoted from the PM. It shouldn't be necessary to quote, you should be able to communicate with the other players without needing to. Quoting something automatically gives it a false sense of truth; it is very easy just to write something yourself and then quote it, as Shadows demonstrated. That said, I don't mind either way in this game, it is the host's decision. If he makes the wrong one then we'll just b#tch about it for a few weeks. -
Ah, so it's back to the bodyguard now is it? Is that you're fnal answer? Or do you think you'll change again? I'm really sorry to say but I just can't trust someone who constantly changes their story. At the current moment you are top of my list, mainly because I can't see anything against anyone else right now. Ah this is getting to bloody confusing for me, I need a drink...
-
That certainly doesn't sound like the ability of a blocker. First you're a peeping tom, then a bodyguard, then a blocker and now you can't seem to be able to decide what you are. Either you are really confused and don't have a clue what you're talking about or you are lying through your teeth. You also still have not answered Willie's question...

Mystery Manor - Chapter Four
Dragonator replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Peter does all this but does not find anything except a little dust. It is noted however that there are spaces for two more red wine glasses in front of the four already in there, and there is also a large space at one end of the bottom shelf, probably where the glass decanter normally lives. Michael removes the sword from the wall. It comes away easily, and can be put back just as easily. The lion head is just that, a lions head. You cannot see any niches or hidden compartments on it. John takes a look at the underside of the piano, but does not find anything there. He then walks over to the couches and takes a look underneath them, as well as digging through the pillows. Amongst the pillows on the eastern couch he finds a Mont Blanc fountain pen. It is perfectly acceptable to interrogate each other on anything you think may be important to the case. Feel free to ask each other questions. -

Peter stops playing and walks over to the glass-fronted cabinet on the south wall. Inside is a long shelf allowing for two levels of display room. It is filled with numerous crystal drinking glasses, two silver platers, and four bottles at the right-hand end (two whiskeys, a port and a bottle of Gin). On top of the cabinet is a white cloth with a small collection of glass ornaments on display standing on it, including a small red dragon and other animals. Miss Sandy walks over to the piano and leans over to look inside. A loud thud is heard as she smacks heads with Max and the Chef, who were also just leaning over. Rubbing their heads, the men stepped back to let Miss Sandy take a closer look. At first she can see nothing, but then she notices that a slip of paper is caught under a string, obviously what was causing the twangy sound. Pulling it out, she smooths it and reads what is written on it. Tro rsrestlo rthehl oiho tupe oeot kelm aomhje. Lkdf debac hl dano pun iny. Another piece of paper, another code. This guy must have been really paranoid. Dr. Phil opens the wooden box and takes a look inside. It is full of Cuban cigars, but nothing else. The outside of the box is fairly plain apart from a dragon design inlaid into the top in mother of pearl. There are so many gorgeous dragns in this house! Who could possibly hate living here? Michael walks over to the fireplace and examines the sword hanging there. Moving it around does not result in anything miraculous. The empty holder is simply that; no amount of prodding it seems to make it do anything. -
I get the feeling that the first and third people to arrive were loyal, but I'm uncertain of the second. He (or she) seemed to be trying to protect Perry from the first man. Then again, it is quite hard to tell. I'm glad we have another one, yet it is sad we voted off a loyal family member yesterday. Hopefully we can do better today. I'll have a whiskey as well by the way, never to early for drinking.

If there's one thing I know game hosts absolutely hate, it's badgering, so give the guy a break people! The next thread will be up when he's ready. Although you are taking your time Hinck... Did somebody say something? I didn't hear a word. Oh good... -
Mystery Manor - Chapter Four
Dragonator replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Miss Sandy takes a look at the suits of armour. They are of the usual design that you are coming to love and hate. Pulling on their swords does not reveal anything or have any obvious effect. Peter meanwhile opens the wooden box on the table and finds that it does indeed contain cigars. Pulling up a chair to the piano, he begins to play, inspecting it as he does. It is a large Steinway, and looks particularly expensive. It has a fantastic sound, although the B flat above middle C sounds a little twangy. Max walks over to the fireplace and peers up the chimney. It is pitch black, and you cannot see anything. Putting your hand up, you soon encounter a ledge carved just above the lip. Grasping something, you pull it out. You find a metal tin, covered in black soot which is rather smeared around the tin, with some patches even looking a little clean. Opening it, you find inside a piece of metal which looks like half a circle. The "straight" edge is jagged. One side is smooth while the other has a number of raised bumps forming the image of part of a dragon. It looks to be the left part of the dragon seal, only it is a mirror image of the design seen elsewhere. Now this is interesting, I wonder where the other half is? Dr. Phil takes a look at the small coffee table, which is just that. The papers however appear to be architectural drawings of the house. One of these shows the development of the river bank to the east, allowing for an extension to be built of the library. The drawings are very rough, and don't show very much detail in any of the rooms. They are also very new. The main focus of two of the pages is to show the various foundations that would need to be laid for the extension, including major work on those directly below the library. There are only four pages on the table, and a small fraction in the bottom right corner of each identifies them as sheet numbers 2, 3, 6 and 12 out of 13. The other pages are not on the table. After Max pulls himself out of the fireplace, looking around indignantly for the culprit who pushed him, he accompanies Michael on a stroll around the room searching for lose floorboards. Despite their best efforts however, none are found. John inspects the barrel of logs, but does not find anything under it or inside it (apart from logs). Dermot looks beneath the large rug, and finds nothing but dust. -
The EB detectives walk through the west doors of the Ballroom into the Parlour. The Parlour is a long room with a lower ceiling than all the other rooms. There is only one other entrance, this in the south wall. Opening these doors shows that they lead back into the dining room. Turning around you can survey the room in better light. The room is floored with wooden floorboards, while the walls and ceiling are of smoothly polished and carved stone. A low hanging light at the west end of the room hangs above a low wooden coffee table covered in papers. There are two chairs around the table. A large stone fireplace protrudes from the west wall, while a barrel filled with extra logs stands in the north-western corner. The north wall is hollowed out with a number of niches; the second one from the west wall contains another statue. The centre of the room is dominated by a massive grand piano. The west end of the room holds nothing else of interest (note the picture below is purposefully missing the hanging light). The east end of the room (not pictured) is the way in which you entered. There is a large square rug in the middle of the floor, with two large sofas framing it on the north and east sides (note the end of the piano is along the west side). In the middle of the rug is another table with a large tray on it containing a glass decanter of red wine and a single glass. The table also holds a small wooden carved box, two coasters and a metal lighter. Around the walls there is another statue against the north wall, this one in the second niche along from the east wall. The eastern wall itself has a large sideboard running along the wall to the right of the doors and small side table to the left. The only other piece of furniture in the room is a glass-fronted cabinet on the southern wall, roughly opposite the couch on the north side of the rug. ********** Remember that to win the game you must answer the following four questions: WHO committed the crime? WHERE was the crime committed (which room)? WHAT was the murder weapon? WHY was he killed (motive)? There is also the optional challenge of piecing together the events of the previous night. It's still tonight here in my time, tomorrow is still a number of hours away. I just want to catch up on writing down a couple of things, and then I'll work on getting it up for you. You tell Anthony that for me. Now, more whiskey!
