Mystery Manor - Chapter Seven

Dr. Phil walks over and picks up a cold chicken leg. You notice (as discovered earlier) that one of them has a bite in it already. The chair is not damaged, but you do notice that it is very slightly off centre. -

Well there's plenty of food still on the table if you guys want to stay here. That or the kitchen probably has some nice stuff lying around... -

Peter takes a look at the broken plate. It is broken into three large pieces, which fit together nicely to make the whole plate, although there are a couple of small gaps where a small shard is missing. The plate matches those currently set on the table. Um, this is the dining room... For that matter, where is Bernard? -

Peter decides to try the two keys in the bedroom door. The long thin key fits this lock and the door swings open, leading out into the ballroom. Miss Sandy grabs the remaining key, the small fat one, and heads for the dining room, with the other detectives in tow. There she walks over to the large oak cabinet in the middle of the south wall and tries the key in the locks on the draws. It too fits, and she unlocks them. The three cupboards underneath hold a collection of vases, serving dishes, tea sets, and plates. In the front of the right cupboard is a broken china plate. The top three draws also have the same key hole. The left draw contains a pile of place mats and coasters, while the middle one contains a lot of silver cutlery. The right draw you find rather interesting. In it is a box labelled "spare keys". This box is lined with velvet and has indentations for the various keys. There are six indentations, however only four keys are actually in the box. They are labelled kitchen, bedroom, library drawer and bedroom drawer. The two empty indentations are labelled front door and ballroom cabinet. Well, it seems we have finally found our kitchen key. The kitchen is currently the only place you have not yet visited, would you like to go down there now or look around here or somewhere else first? -

A good question. We currently have two keys yet to find sources for. In terms of things still to be unlocked there are a couple of places. They are: -the attic door -the bedroom door -the kitchen door -the large cabinet in the dining room Where would you like to go now? -

The voice mail box is empty; there are no messages. The ring tone is your standard phone ringing sound. -

New pieces or existing pieces in more colors

I also voted for colour; I would love more pieces in the dark colours, such as dark red, blue and green etc. -

Peter dials the anonymous number, and a phone starts ringing amongst the detectives. This turns out to belong to Lieutenant Spencer... -

Peter grabs the phone and flips it open. The recently received calls box contains two numbers, one labelled "Anthony", and the other anonymous. The recently dialled calls box contains two numbers as well labelled "Architect" and "Anthony". Peter then calls for pizza. I concur. -

As I recall, we spent two mafia days throwing insults at each other and trying to vote off Hinckley, who had been proven as a filthy hill pleb after somehow manipulating the entire group into killing our investigator. That was two days earlier. I'm not sure if we even managed to kill him before the game was paused. For that matter I can't even remember my role. Perhaps starting it afresh might be a smart plan. -
Lord Dragonator opens the draw and pulls out a cellphone and a single sheet of paper. Written on the sheet is the following: Note: Remember to put away spare keys. The detectives look at each other, wondering what they should do next... ********** Remember that to win the game you must answer the following four questions: WHO committed the crime? WHERE was the crime committed (which room)? WHAT was the murder weapon? WHY was he killed (motive)? There is also the optional challenge of piecing together the events of the previous night. Try to find out as much detail as possible. For the full list of rules, please click on the picture at the top of the page or follow this link. Participants: 1. EB was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm sure glad it was! I'm sure I would never have found it on my own.

That ending was more fantastic than I would ever have imagined. Really well played Shadows, you bastard. Nice job on getting me killed. I must admit you had me tied around your finger for the whole time I was playing, a stupid mistake I really shouldn't have made. I will blame it on being very busy while the game was running (and once again, I'm sorry I missed a few days, it really didn't help me at all). Anyway, once I was dead I could see that you had to have been either converted or a rat from the beginning, as the PMs you sent me and how you reacted in my last day were very contradictory. Still, I think you topped your performance in Mystery Castle. Congrates on the win, you really deserved this one. Sir Dillon and Alicia, I think you two also played an excellent game, I'm only sorry we couldn't all have survive, it was inevitable that one of us would die early. According to how I should have played my character, I should have been hounding you right from the beginning really, Sir Dillon, but I had a suspicion that we all must be loyal, that or you were a rat who was controlling my wife (I thought this because of the whole voting thing). Therefore I left you alone as long as possible, because I suspected one or both of us would die if there was a confrontation. I guess this turned against me though, and you and IS did a nice job getting everyone to vote for me. Ah well, I'll do better next time I hope, I certainly enjoyed trying to fight for my life. That whole thing with Agent Black really screwed me over. I must say I might have enjoyed being converted, I've never been a bad guy before. And of course, what would we do without our fabulous host Hinckley. Thanks mate, what an awesome game! The many clues, hilarious and witty moments, and subtle use of all sorts of references really made this fun to play and then follow. There were some really neat hidden motives and things that only came out later on in the game, and it is things like that that make for an exciting game. I really do look forwards to Baritones 3, whenever that may be, as this was a heck of a lot of fun. Great job as always, I have high expectations for next time, it certainly sounds interesting!

Oh for the love of dragons all me. Lord Dragonator walks over to the side table and lfts up the lamp, underneath which is a key. Using this key, he opens the draw and pulls out... well, you'll just have to wait and see. End of Chapter The next chapter will hopefully be up when I get back on Sunday. -

Perhaps that suggests more than you first may think. Right people, if we could please hurry along with finding that key/shooting open the drawer/whatever else you can think of, we have a schedule to keep! -

Max does a thorough search of the mirror and the tub facet for the absent key, but does not find it. Miss Sandy meanwhile runs out hot water into the sink and steams up the mirror. There is nothing written on it. But it's antique... Well you can if you really want to, I won't stop you. Micheal searches under the table, but does not find the key. Peter checks on top of the bed, in the toilet roll, amongst the towels and under the sink, but does not find the key. The contents of the cupboard under the sink are 5 spare toilet roles, some toilet cleaner, an electric toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, eye drops, a small first aid kit containing plasters and basic sterilizing wipes, an electric shaver, aftershave, moisturiser, shampoo and conditioner. No key though. Me? Now why would you want to search me? I'm just an innocent colleague and friend of our poor deceased Lord Chester, I don't have anything to do with this. So... (Please note that this chapter will be ending soon, at the latest in the next 10 hours, as I will be away from tomorrow until Sunday morning. Sorry for the inconvenience, this mystery is certainly taking longer than I had anticipated. Probably bad planning on my part. ) -
Very nice SirJ, you have once again produced a piece which is certainly out of the ordinary. I really like how the planets have been made, and how everything fits together!

In my opinion this is a worthy tool to own, as it is very helpful to the MOCer, especially one who uses a lot of tiles. I love my brick separator, it feels the pain my fingers would otherwise be feeling trying to remove 200+ 1x2 tiles from my stupid medieval roads. Sometimes I really hate cobbles. I haven't really noticed this damage that CP5670 refers too, apart from when I tried removing an 8x8 brick using two brick-separators on one side, and this definitely caused damage to the brick. Not to be advised. I do however find them very useful with smaller bricks, plates and tiles, for such things as what Sinner illustrated.

Over. Peter returns to the bedroom and tries to pick the lock on the drawer. He is unsuccessful and so starts thumping the thing, which successfully hurts his hands. Surely his Lordship would have kept the key close at hand? Who do you think you are, a thief? Unfortunately it appears you weren't as successful as you first thought. Perhaps looking for the key might prove more useful. -
That would be sweet, although I make no promises. We'll see how the dates work out (and how my wallet is feeling ). I bet Hinck would love that! I wonder how large his living room is, we could probably squeeze in at least 10 of us. And yes, if I was coming, I would definitely be bringing something of a medieval nature. Group displays ON!

You know, I'm sure those dragon people, whoever they are, wouldn't be so mean as to force the Lord of the manner to use a chamber pot when modern technology, that is, a flushing toilet, is available. I mean, there is a TV downstairs. I presume by that you are referring to the modern light fixture in the bathroom? Go ahead... Max takes a look at the modern light fixture. It is a standard bathroom style light, but still with a little antique flair, seen in the triple branching brass arms, covered in a swirling scroll pattern, that hold the three bulbs in place. You cannot see anything of interest. Max also decides to look in the bathtub drain. You cannot see anything unusual, although you do note that the drain is rather dry; it does not appear to have been used recently.
