Mid day was approaching, and the people of the castle decided to quickly break for luncheon. Food was served in the dining room, and then the people made their way back into the hall to continue with their discussions. You may continue to change your votes until a majority is reached. After that, voting will end. I would still like to stress that only vote when you are very certain of your vote, as rash voting leads to mistakes when people decide to change their minds. Remember, voting continues for the full length of the day, so there is no rush. Vote Count Ambassador Sirion Vipont (ImperialShadows) - 9 Votes (Ricecracker, Sandy, I Scream Clone, Sir Dillon, Escape the Fate, Quarryman, Svelte, JimButcher, Striker) Francis, Friar (Svelte) - 1 Vote (ImperialShadows) Non-Voters - 10 People (Stash2sixx, TinyPiesRUs, Alice, Zepher, professor flitwick, WhiteFang, Darth_Legois, Bob the Construction Man) A majority vote of 10 is needed to convict.

Mystical Castle - Discussion

Er, what? His hair is the same in both images. Your use of such immature language is also rather unnecessary... -
Breakfast having finished, the residents of the castle were now into heavy discussion of who was to be voted off that day. Already, hot words were flying, and the votes were rolling in. Vote Count Ambassador Sirion Vipont (ImperialShadows) - 7 Votes (Ricecracker, Sandy, I Scream Clone, Sir Dillon, Escape the Fate, Quarryman, Svelte) Francis, Friar (Svelte) - 1 Vote (ImperialShadows) Non-Voters - 10 People (Stash2sixx, TinyPiesRUs, Alice, Zepher, professor flitwick, WhiteFang, Darth_Legois, JimButcher, Striker, Bob the Construction Man)

The castle was silent, as the residents had all retired to their beds for the night, after the rather exciting events of the day before. Everyone, that was, except for Gilbert, who was still vainly wandering the halls looking for the Sorcerer, as his Captain had instructed. "Where has that sneaky devil gone?", he pondered to himself. "I might just rest here on this balcony for a bit." Gilbert isn't as vigilant as he would hope unfortunately, and doesn't see the black figure approaching from behind. In a quick movement, the person shoves Gilbert over the banister. "GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!", he screamed. A sickening crunch followed, as the body smacked against the floor. Pleased with his work, the figure turned to go, when it heard a noise from below. Gilbert was getting up. "It... it's alright, I'm... arghhhh... OK....", he groaned. This wasn't the result the figure was looking for, so more drastic measures were called for. The heavy chair broke over Gilbert, killing him instantly and leaving a bloody mess on the floor. Meanwhile, in the Grand Hall, the Sorcerer was planning his escape. Marching over to the west doors, the Sorcerer prepared some magic, and blasted them open, breaking the seal on them. Just as he was about to run through, someone called out from the other side of the hall. It was the wizard. "Stop right there, Lord Harcourt!", exclaimed the wizard. "You're not getting away from me now!" The wizard fired off a bolt of green fire at the Sorcerer... But he managed to evade it, running through into the west foyer. The wizard followed close behind, in hot pursuit... ...only to come racing back out again as the sorcerer fired on him. The two magic masters faced off across the hall, each preparing a nasty spell for the other. Just then, as they were about to unleash the fatal spells on each other, a hooded figure entered the room, momentarily distracting them. "Er, appears I have come to the wrong place", he stammered. "Don't mind me, carry on." As the figure fled the room, the wizard took the advantage of the distraction to strike out at the Sorcerer, who had no time to respond. His fate was sealed. "Burn the witch Sorcerer!", cried the wizard. "Dammit, I knew this would end badly", complained the sorcerer. "Curse you, you vile, foul-" He was cut off as the flames consumed him. "AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" As the echoes of his last scream faded in the hall, all that was left of the mighty sorcerer was a small pile on the floor... As the sun rose and light once more claimed the castle, the residents made their way down to the hall once again. Unfortunately, many were confronted with the horrors of the previous night. Quickly, they made their way past the carnage in the foyer to the main hall. There they were confronted by the grisly remains of the Sorcerer. The King addressed the people. "Ladies and Gentlemen, after a thorough search of Lord Harcourt's rooms, my people are able to say with certainty that the Sorcerer was neither a loyal Citizen of the Alliance, nor was he a Dragon. Rather, he was a powerful Ankorian Sorcerer sent here by his Ankorian masters to sabotage our efforts to reunite as one stable land. He was most definitely a Neutral figure in this struggle. I cannot say the same for poor Gilbert out there however. He was most definitely a loyal Citizen of Matidoer, and will be sorely missed." As the King finished talking, the residents began their own discussions again, ever aware of the now open west doors which reveal the grisly sight of he slaughter not many nights past. Hopefully, they could deal with the threat, before it is too late... ******************** Rules of Play This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Vote Count Lord William Harcourt (Hinckley) - 11 Votes (ImperialShadows, Alice, professor flitwick, Striker, Sir Dillon, JimButcher, General Armendariz, Darth_Legois, Ricecracker, Svelte, Quarryman) Ambassador Sirion Vipont (ImperialShadows) - 2 Votes (Hinckley, Escape the Fate) A majority of 11 votes is needed for a conviction, therefore Hinckley has been convicted. After some very long and fiery conversation, the residents of the castle managed to come to a majority decision, much to the relief of their King. The people confronted Lord Harcourt. "Burn the Witch!", someone cried. "He's a Sorcerer idiot", replied another. Lord Harcourt desperately tried to reason with the crowd. "You are making a terrible mistake people. I am not the enemy here!" But the people were having none of it. Ambassador Vipont stepped forward. "You are a dirty liar your Lordship, and I look forward to seeing you and your other filthy Dragon pals rot for what you have done in this castle." "You are no better yourself, 'Ambassador'. I'll get you one day, you and all your friends." With a quick arm movement, Lord Harcourt called forth a bolt of purple fire and shot it straight at Ambassador Vipont, felling him where he stood. In horror, the people of the castle surrounded the fallen Ambassador. Lord Harcourt, the Sorcerer, made good use of the distraction and sprinted off towards the dining room. Standing up, Ambassador Vipont brushes himself down and looks around. "Don't worry everyone, I'm fine. This armour is very tough. I should be fine for another night with you my Lady Harcourt, now that you are free." He winked, and the Lady blushed. Captain Geoffrey coughed loudly to draw attention. "We cannot let that Sorcerer go free, there is no telling what trouble he could cause. Guards, you go after him and try to catch him up. I'm sure the King will want his rooms searched later too to discern his real alignment. After such a crazy day, I hope we don't get a crazy night..." With that the people of the castle went about their business, before heading off to bed for the night. Hopefully, things wouldn't be getting any stranger... or were they just getting started?... ******************** Day 2 has now ended. Tonight will be a sudden death night. Please send in your night actions, if you have one, as soon as possible. If you do not wish to use it, please let me know anyway. The night will last 2 days, as outlined previously. What! We have to sleep in the servants quarters! The outrage! Well, the food is nice, and it is getting late so I guess we should take Lord whats-his-name's advice and pick a room. Personally, I don't want to be at either end, I want to be near the middle thank you very much, safety in numbers and all that. If anyone wants me for prayer, I'll be available. I'll take room 7 I think, nice odd number an all.

A certain quiet fell over the castle, until, around midnight, a disturbance was heard upstairs. Somebody was on the move. Leaving the room, the Sorcerer made its way down the stairs. The Wizard was also out for a stroll, and happened to be going upstairs. They passed each other, nodding cheerfully. "Evening." "Evening." Suddenly, they stopped. Realizing who they had just passed, the two quickly turned back to face each other, bringing forth fire in preparation for a fight. "I've been looking for you", said the sorcerer. "I shall deal with you now to save the trouble later." "I think you'll find me a little harder to deal with than that", replied the Wizard. Just as they were about to launch into deadly conflict, someone came running out of the hall. "There you are! I've been looking for you!" exclaimed the person, and grabbed the Sorcerer by the arm. "I wanted to talk about today, wasn't it awful? I think..." The person continued chatting as it lead the Sorcerer away, leaving the Wizard alone in the foyer. "How very odd", the Wizard pondered, before going back to its business. Later that night, two figures strolled into the Grand Hall. "...and so I said, Potatoes! How awful! Truly horrific I heard. Anyway-" "This is very interesting, but I really must be going", the sorcerer cut in. "Perhaps we can meet again tomorrow." "Oh all right then, see you later." The person wandered off, watched by the Sorcerer with some relief. "Well, I'm glad that person's gone", the Sorcerer muttered, while a black figure crept up unseen. "I wonder what's for breakfast?" "Anyway, off to bed I guess." The Sorcerer left, leaving a frustrated assassin growling in the Grand Hall... In the morning, the people gathered together again in the Grand Hall, ready for another day of the Dragon Hunt. The King had just brought them sorrowful news however, for he had been informed by his executioner that the dear maid Ethel had been discovered to be a simple loyal Citizen. Unfortunately, she had already been executed. What a pity. Discussion began to filter through the hall... ******************** Rules of Play This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. So this house is basically empty then? Dear me, what are we to look for? I guess we should look around all the rooms. Since our host isn't providing anything, I'm going to get some food from what I hope is a well stocked pantry. Why doesn't someone set up the table and chairs so we can sit down and make a plan while having our meal, and not have to stand around and such? What do you guys want? I'll bring back some nibbles or something, maybe pop tarts, and see if I can find something more substantial too. Talk about having to look after yourself! Father Clarence goes to rummage through the kitchen pantry.

Oh these are just my usual priestly robes; simple, plain clothing for a humble servant of our dear Lord on High. Mr. Faisser invited me as a respectable local to his party, and accordingly for some spiritual guidance too, although I can't really help with that unless he is here...

Vote Count Ethel, Maid (Adam) - 12 Votes (Stash2sixx, Darth_Legois, Svelte, JimButcher, Striker, Ricecracker, Bob the Construction Man, Hinckley, General Armendariz, ImperialShadows, Alice Zepher) Non-Voters - 9 People (Sir Dillon, TinyPiesRUs, professor flitwick, Quarryman, I Scream Clone, WhiteFang, Adam, Escape the Fate, Sandy) A majority vote of 11 was needed, therefore Adam has been convicted. As the afternoon sun streamed in through the high windows of the grand hall, the residents gathred together, having finally made a decision. Together, they confronted Ethel, the rebellious and unsavory maid. "Like, why are you all lookin' at moi?", she queried. "All I've done is proclaim the rights of women and speak in this veeeeeery annoying voice." The assembled people murmured agreement that only a traitorous Dragon would do such horrid and outlandish things. "Guards, take this traitor away", ordered Captain Geoffrey. "She shall be dealt with by the castle executioner tonight, the King has informed me." "Oh dear, this is terrible!", exclaimed Ethel. "You really are making a mistake. I promise not to talk funny anymore." But the people were having none of it. Grabbing her by the arms, the Guards dragged her away to be held in the dungeons. "Aww crap", was the last the people heard from her. With the sun setting and evening approaching, the castle residents decided to break up for the day, some returning to their duties, others retiring to their rooms. Hopefully, tomorrow would bring them something new in their search for the sly Dragons... ******************** Day 1 has now ended. Tonight will not be a sudden death night. Please send in your night actions, if you have one, as soon as possible. If you do not wish to use it, please let me know anyway. The night will last 2 days, as outlined previously. Good evening fine people, I am Father Clarence, the priest of the local diocese. What a diverse group of people, I wonder why our host has invited us all? I wonder where he is... I would say a blessing, but we haven't even been provided with any food...

After a lovely 3 course Lunch of venison, pheasant, vegetable soup, and other castle delicacies, the people of the castle continued their discussions in the hall. Not much had come of the talks so far that day, and as it was beginning to get into the late afternoon, the Queen decided to say a few words. "Dear people of Matidoer, and honored guests, might I say something? We only have a few hours before dinner, and then it will be night time, so if you are going to make a decision today it will need to be made soon. I'm sure you all know what is in the best interests of the castle and the Alliance, so I trust in your decisions. Choose wisely." The gentle flow of conversation started up again...
-
After a particularly appetizing morning meal, the residents of the keep returned to the Grand Hall to hear their King. "Ladies and gentlemen, your attention please. The attack last night has taken a terrible toll on us as a community. Many of you have lost loved ones; I grieve with you my friends. However we must not be downhearted, but must rise to this challenge and find those responsible." "It is unclear what has happened in the west wing, but I do not think anyone who was there will have survived. The doors have been sealed in some way, by magic I presume, meaning we cannot get through there to find out what happened. Those men could not have got in on their own however, someone on the inside definitely let them in. We must take out those people before more damage can be done. I ask that, in the mean time, you all keep away from the west wing for your own safety, for we do not know what evils still lurk beyond those doors. I wish you well in your quest to find these Dragons; on you lies the future of this kingdom. Choose wisely..." The King stepped down, and the residents went back to their discussions...
-
After the signing of the Alliance of the Three Nations, and the ensuring party, many of the residents of the castle retired to their beds, with some particularly eccentric people continuing to party on in the ballroom. The castle was gradually claimed by darkness, and a certain quiet fell over the great stone fortress. But as we all know, evil is most often afoot in the dead of night... The grand hall was quiet, but not far away, something sinister was beginning. The doors to the west wing slammed open, and beyond, the flickering glow of a raging fire could be seen. Distantly, a terrible scream could be heard, and the clash of steel against steel. In the west atrium, Duke Frederick Dufay was making a brave retreat before the coming flames. "Run for your lives!", he screamed, as he came hurtling through the doors. Those were his last words unfortunately, as a long tongue of flame stretched out to grasp him. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHGGGGG!!!!......" The flame wrapped around the poor Duke and as quick as a flash, burned him to a cinder. Only the charred bones remained upon the polished floor. Now more screams could be heard coming from the west wing. The flames roared up, and a few desperate people tried to escape the horrors of the slaughter. Next to come dashing through the doors were two guards, Vincent of Hamenweir and Damien of Dromindur. "What the hell is going on!?" cried Vincient. "Some sort of attack", replied Damien. "The whole west wing of this place is ablaze. And did you see the bodies back there? Brutal, just brutal..." "Yeah, better keep running." No matter how hard they ran though, the pair could not escape the fate headed their way. A purple flash came from behind, and the two were struck down with a powerful spell which systematically stripped their skin from their bodies, leaving a bloody mess on the floor. Meanwhile, the fires ragged on unabated. Silence gradually spread through the castle, with the occasional scream punctuating the stillness. The atrium was empty save for the flicker of flames. Hesitantly, Fergus the scullion and Betta the maid scuttled out in the atrium, in the hopes of finding safety away from the fires. They were wrong. Two hooded figures had just entered from the opposite corridor. Slowly they advanced. Betta turned and ran, while Fergus stood petrified, as he was sliced up by the wicked blade of the intruder. Finished with his fun, the intruder turned and left the mangled, wretched body on the floor. The roar of the flames built up, and with a mighty roar, burst forth into the hall, like a giant, hungry beast. Then, as suddenly as it had come, the fires receded, and the doors slammed shut, leaving the grand hall in darkness once again. The burnt, tortured, misshapen remains lay still on the floor, a testament to the wicked horrors of the night. Silence once again possessed the castle. In the morning, the King and his Queen, in the company of the only remaining Royal Guards, surveyed the carnage. "This is the work if those Dragons, the ones who so greatly oppose our alliance:, the King sighed. "This must be dealt with immediately. Clean up this mess, and then call in all the survivors. We must find these traitors, and execute them before they kill us all." The guards complied, and very soon, all the people were assembled in the Hall, all those that were left that is. Many were still mourning the deaths of loved ones from the previous night; husbands, wives, sisters and brothers, the toll of the night was high on everyone. What the people of the keep wanted was justice, revenge for the foul deed that had been done. "All we want is justice!", someone shouted. "Together, we can find the ones who did this and make them pay!", another cried. "Won't someone just think of the children?", another asked. Murmurs of agreement spread through the hall. The decision was made; nobody would leave nor enter the castle until either the killers were all found and executed, or the people had died trying. Together, they could rid themselves of the nuisance that has caused so much horror and bloodshed, but only if they are wary and careful of the evil ways of the Dragons. Things were just beginning to get interesting, in Matidoer Castle... ******************** Rules of Play This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Lots of interest from what I can see, if you still want to be considered for a role then you have 1 more day in which to say so. I will begin selecting players soon, which I know is going to be very hard as there are so many good people who have shown interest. There are 21 slots with 30 of you showing interest, so there will be a few let down people at the end of the day. Plenty of future opportunities though. -

Mark looks carefully at the controls and spots a lever that looks like something to do with the brakes* I sure hope you got these working Brakes... Let's end this! Hang on!!! *Going with his lucky instinct, he pulls the lever. The train lurches violently* AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! -
