  1. And I'm absolutely sure you did, otherwise how could I and Mr. Baker have seen it my good sir? I think it unlikely I am being duped here, the Lord ensures that my eyesight is very good. Err, this isn't like one of those reality Radio Mafia games where people vote to lynch each other! This is the real world my good sir, and unlike the cops, we are normal civilians who aren't prone to wanton killing when we suspect someone is playing foul. Rather, we discuss things in a civilized fashion, although it would appear there is someone here who enjoys killing...
  2. Now that is interesting. A crooked cop is not to be relied on, for he has sinned in the sight of our Lord. It makes me fear what his real motives are for being here at this gathering... I can testify to this, I was down the hall a way and saw Mr. Baker here hit the Chief with the barrel. As the chief went down the ruby came flying out of his pocket, and Mr. Baker picked it up off the floor. After examining it, we were making our way back here when we cam across the body of the late Jimmy Thatcher, may the Lord have mercy on his departed soul. This situation is certainly getting us all a little wound up. Why don't we all go for some hot drinks, and discuss this matter further? We need to get to the bottom of this before more of us are killed...
  3. Vote Count Simon, Librarian (I Scream Clone) - 5 Votes (JimButcher, WhiteFang, Striker, Svelte, Sandy) Ambassador Ralf Simnel (Quarryman) - 1 Vote (Bob the Construction Man) Richard, Guard (Ricecracker) - 1 Vote (Darth_Legois) Non-Voters - 7 People (Sir Dillon, Stash2Sixx, professor flitwick, Quarryman, I Scream Clone, Escape the Fate, Ricecracker) A majority vote of 8 votes is required to convict.
  4. My word! Morrison, really, explain yourself! How did you know we were all going to be invited here, when none of the rest of us knew? And why would you bring a loaded pistol to a party!? People, this man obviously cannot be trusted, and I hope he has a good explanation for all this, because this is getting very serious indeed. For the benefit of our safety, going on the evidence we have found so far, I think I shall look after this here pistol until further notice. We don't want any more people getting hurt. Clearly the law of the state cannot be trusted right now, so we must instead trust in the law of our Lord on high. *Father Clarence calmly takes the pistol and places it deep in his robes.* I shall put this in my room, out of harms way. If we can be certain that our dear police chief didn't bring it for a sinful purpose, then we might return it too him, but I think it would be better for us all if nobody was tempted to use this here weapon of Satan. Two people have already died, and we haven't been here 24 hours yet!
  5. I would be happy to help sir, we must get to the bottom of this mystery immediately! I am opposed to breaching the individuals right to privacy as laid down by our Lord, but if he is up to no good, then I guess we are justified in looking around. Who would have thought, a corrupt police officer! How very unusual and quite mind-boggling. We are meant to be able to put our trust in the law, but rather, the law is stealing precious rubies behind our back...
  6. That one with the rotating arm and lifting foot is interesting, I'm not sure how comfortable the square-shaped foot would be though. It is certainly a mystery as to the proper function of the item though, perhaps it will come with a pictorial instruction manual to demonstrate its use? Now that will be quite a night! I look forward to your review of this nifty item. As for spelunking, I would have thought something like the duplo ghost shroud would me much better suited, very durable, although the holes make you wonder...
  7. My goodness, another death, and in the middle of the day too! What is the world coming to, I ask! Is there really a violent criminal amongst us? I shall pray for Jimmy's soul. Thomas, what do you think of this latest event? I do wonder what the black figure meant about Jimmy being too lazy to save people's lives. There is certainly more to this than meets the eye...
  8. Happy Birthday Erdy, have a great day, and eat lots of strawberry cake. Enjoy the Lego too. Dragonator throws confetti.
  9. The castle was quiet. Nothing could be heard but the gentle moan of the wind over the high roof, and the scraping of trees outside. But then... a footstep. Someone was coming. A figure walked into the grand hall from the dining room. That figure was none other than Duchess Juliana Dufay. Noticing another figure walking towards her from the other side of the room she waved jovially. "Oh there you are!", she exclaimed. "I've been looking for you! I wanted to talk about-" "You know that's funny", interrupted the robed figure. "I've been looking for you too." "Err, really?", stammered the Duchess. "Crap." The robed figure raised its sword and the Duchess screamed. Just then, another figure ran out from behind a pillar. "Stop right there!", the figure cried, as it stood blocking the assassins' path to the Duchess. "You shall not have her!" "And how exactly were you planning on stopping me, aye?", snickered the robed figure. "Well, I was kind of hoping you might use some magic", said the figure nervously. "I guess you're out of luck then, aren't you?", replied the robed figure, as it grabbed the figure by the shirt... ...and tossed the person down the hall. "Hey, you can't throw- GAHH!!!", the figure cried, as it went tumbling across the floor. "Now, where was I?", muttered the robed figure. "You were about to kill me", informed the Duchess. "Oh, right." The robed figure raised its sword and the Duchess screamed. With a quick swipe the robed figure slit the Duchess' throat. She desperately tried to hold in the blood, but to no avail. Gurgling horridly, she feel to the floor and bled slowly to death, a pool of blood forming around her. In the morning, the castle residents gathered once again in the grand hall. They were met by the body of the Duchess, an event they had come to expect and dread, finding who had died that night. Gradually, everyone made their way down to the hall, coming sleepily from their rooms. Many were yawning hugely. It was apparent that nobody was getting much sleep, with all the horrors going on in the castle. Eventually, all the surviving residents had gathered around the body of the late Duchess. Their numbers were definitely beginning to thin out. The King, as usual, addressed the people. "It appears that another terrible tragedy has occurred during the night. The poor Duchess only wanted revenge for her husbands' death, but we can be comforted in the fact that she is now reunited with him in death. I am saddened to inform you that we have indeed lost another Citizen. May her soul rest in peace. I have also been informed that she could block one of you from doing anything at night. Obviously she wasn't as successful last night, an unlucky turn of fate, I would say. I do have some better news however, that may cheer your hearts. Lady Beatrice Harcourt was executed last night after your conviction of her, and after a thorough search of her rooms, my people are pleased to report that she was indeed a traitorous Dragon. Finally, we have got one of them. Keep up the excellent work my people, and very soon we shall be free of their evil presence once and for all." A cheer wen up from the crowd, before discussions once again began for another day. There are 14 residents left, therefore a majority vote of 8 is required to convict. ******************** Rules of Play This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. 10. What a great new clothing product! Just the thing every AFOL needs in my opinion. Although a bit airy, as Svelte says, I'm sure it would be quite comfortable, and the flashlight feature is a nice bonus too. Thanks for bringing this sumptuous item to our attention Hinckley, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it in stores.
  11. I just don't know you two any more... Outrage, a pure outrage. I think we need to have a word with Mr. Martell about this... *flexes claws casually* Matches, anyone?
  12. This is a really nice book, with some great photographs of various sets and minifigs which are really nice to look at. It is well laid out, and covers quite a lot of material, although quite a lot of it is stuff you would likely already know. I really like the section at the back which has an interview with one of the SW design team, now that is cool. I never knew how they make the new elements and such, so this section in particular is interesting reading. There is also a page on community, which has a few recognizable MOCs in it. The minfig is a nice bonus too, with the shiny medal. Lovely indeed! A worthy book to have in the collection, in my opinion.
  13. Haha, a cricket bat, that's pretty sweet. I look forward to seeing the details of this pack from those who attend, and I hope the Apocafest goes really well. Good luck at BrickCon, enjoy yourselves, and make sure to keep us updated on any news.
  14. Vote Count Simon, Librarian (I Scream Clone) - 3 Votes (Striker, JimButcher, Zepher) Lady Beatrice Harcourt (Zepher) - 10 Votes (Svelte, Darth_Legois, Bob the Construction Man, Alice, WhiteFang, Sandy, I Scream Clone, Quarryman, professor flitwick, Stash2sixx) Non-Voters - 3 People (Sir Dillon, Escape the Fate, Ricecracker) A majority of 9 votes is required to convict, therefore Zepher has been convicted. The sun was beginning to set, and the residents of the castle had once again come to a decision. Had they got the right person tis time, or had they made another fatal error? For Lady Beatrice Harcourt, it really didn't matter either way, because she was dead no matter what now... As the people gathered around her, Lady Harcourt didn't look to flustered, as she was just coming to grips with her new situation, in which she would very shortly not have a head. She looked around at the mob. "Listen, you don't want to kill me", she laughed forcefully. "I'm innocent, really. You're making a mistake. Why don't we all just sit down to dinner and discuss this a bit more?" The residents looked on in unamused silence. They weren't going to change their minds so easily. "Guards, take her to the dungeons", the Captain ordered. "Let her await the executioner and the penalty for her treachery there." The guards moved in on the Lady, eager to take her away for execution. "Oh dammit", she cried, as she was dragged away. "I don't want to die!" The residents, pleased that they had come to a decision, went about their business, some staying to talk, others going back to their duties or to bed. The situation was bearable for most, if a facade of normality was kept up. But the situation was far from normal, as they all knew, and one could not help but feel a tingling sense of unease at the pace at which the residents were one by one being killed off... ******************** Day 4 has now ended. Tonight will not be a sudden death night. Please send in your night actions, if you have one, as soon as possible. If you do not wish to use it, please let me know anyway. The night will last 2 days, as outlined previously. The sooner you get your actions in, the sooner I can prepare Day 5. Thanks.
  15. Again, another very close battle. The Big Bad Blue Bastards put up a valiant fight, with some touching scenes and witty killing, however I have given this one to the Bloody Brilliant Redcoats. You had some sweet scenes in there, and Jansued's entry was just outstanding, very classy, and it was your entry that put the reds just that little bit ahead of the blues. A job well done to both teams, thanks for a great tournament.
  16. Some fantastic entries from both teams, but in this one my vote has to go to Green Thunder. I was almost swayed by the skiing scene, that was really well presented, however the green team won out overall for me, so good job guys. Very well done to both teams, this was very close.
  17. 18. How very interesting Thomas, thank you for sharing that with us all. If anyone wishes to give a confession before the Lord, you may approach me at any time, for with repentance comes forgiveness my children.
  19. The evening sun coloured the exterior of the mighty castle of Matidoer, as the residents returned to their beds for the night, wondering if they had made the correct decision to convict Ambassador Vipont. Either way, the castle would still be standing in the morning, so they weren't too worried. At least they hadn't killed him if he did turn out to be innocent. Meanwhile, outside, a rather flustered Ambassador was walking around the back of the castle, looking a little lost. "I knew I should have brought a horse or something", he muttered. "I didn't even grab my staff. I'll have to go back for that at some point, I guess." As Sirion walked past the stained glass window behind the grand hall, he looked up at it, and pondered on the fates of those residents locked inside. "Those people deserve what they have coming to them if they are so blind that they can't see what is right before them", he growled. "Really, trying to kill me. The nerve of some people!" The Ambassador walked on, when suddenly he was confronted by a robed figure with a wizard's staff. "You!", exclaimed Sirion. "I should have known you were behind this. I haven't seen you in years!" "Indeed, you should have known I was still around", the robed figure replied. "It was a mistake to try to go against me though." "How could I not go against you?", fumed Sirion. "What you are fighting for are the outdated ideas of a past that will never be revived. The only thing we have is the future, and frankly, I'm all for that. Now take this!" Sirion raised his arm and blasted a stream of wizard's fire at the robbed figure. Or at least he tried to. The robbed figure shook his head. "It is a pity I'm going to have to kill you now, you could have gone so far. I had high hopes for you when you were a boy. Once I have dealt with you, I'll go deal with those pesky people in the castle." "You'll not be getting in any time soon", sneered Sirion. "I sealed the castle, so nobody is going in or out. If those residents are smart, they'll have taken care of your Dragons before you can get in." "We shall see about that." The robed figure raised his arm. "So long Sirion, give my regards to the Keeper of the Dead." With that, the robbed figure blasted Ambassador Sirion Vipont with a stream of his own wizard's fire. "Dammit, you can't do this to me, I'm dashingly ha-", Sirion screamed, before being cut off by the blast. His body was ripped to shreds, leaving a trail of his remains strewn across the ground. "Rest in peace, Sirion", the robbed figure softly spoke to himself. "I'm sorry you had to go in this struggle." The figure stood over the remains of the once mighty Ambassador Sirion Vipont, Wizard of the Second Order, before turning to go, leaving just a bloody mess to show anyone had been there at all. The sun set over the castle, plunging it into darkness. Later that night, a dark figure made it's way down the stairs in the entrance foyer. The figure looked around the hall, but nobody was in sight. "After I was wrong last night, I don't think I'll try killing anyone tonight. Damn Gilbert, why did he have to look suspicious to me. This is all his fault." The figure looked around again. "Well, there is nobody about, and this helmet is horribly stuffy, so I might as well take it off." Removing her helmet, Countess Margaret Durville looked around. "Ah, that's better", she sighed. Just then, a cloaked figure jumped out from behind a pillar. The countess screamed. "I've been looking for you", chuckled the figure. "You won't get me, you filth!", she cried, and dashed down the hall. The figure grunted and followed in quick pursuit. The pair raced towards the dining room. Unfortunately for the Countess, she wasn't fast enough with her heavy breastplate, and the robed figure caught her from behind. Crying out, she feel to the floor where she bled to death. The last thing she saw in her life on earth was the ceiling of the grand hall, which had witnessed so much death already. "If only I had chosen the right person...", she sighed, before passing away. In the morning, the residents of the castle sleepily trickled into the Grand Hall to meet for another day and hopefully convict a Dragon. They were met with the grueling sight of the Countess left lying on the floor. The people chatted amongst themselves as they entered, in no rush to start the voting all over again. The stragglers eventually made their way in, until everyone was present. Crowded around the body of the late Countess, the King addressed the residents. "Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been a sad night for the loyal citizens. The dear Countess here was murdered quite cruely, and has been left as a reminder that we are not yet rid of the Dragon scum that walk amongst us. Not only was she a loyal Citizen, but she was also out nightly vigilant. Despite her mistake over Gilbert, her lose may well be a hindrance to our plans." "That is not the worst of it however. I have had the rooms of Ambassador Vipont searched thoroughly and, as I thought, he too was a loyal Citizen working for the good of the Alliance. Despite what you all thought, he used his magic only to protect one of you each night, not to kill. It looks like not all magic is as bad as we first believed. I would have thought after he claimed to have dealt with the Sorcerer and nobody disputed it, you would see him as a benefit to our cause, but apparently not. I hope, for your sakes, that you do a better job today. That will be all." As the King finished speaking, surprised mutters spread through the assembled people. They had been so certain. Feeling slightly foolish, the people of the castle began their discussions anew... ******************** Rules of Play This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. 20. I will take you up on that offer sir, you seem like the sort who will get something done around here. Let us see what we can find amongst the packaged goods...
  21. The conclusion has now been posted. Please make sure you get in your night actions if you have them as soon as possible please, I had to wait for a couple last time, which delayed the start of the day slightly.
  22. Somehow I don't think searching through everyone's personal possessions is going to achieve our aim. Rather, why don't we look around this house some more, to see if we can establish why it is we are here, and whether or not Lord Faisser has meet some dastardly end. We need to find this killer amongst us, and the only way we are going to do that I think is by watching until he or she makes a mistake and reveals him/her self. In the mean time, we may as well take a look around. Perhaps we could start in the Foyer, and then work out from there?
  23. Vote Count Ambassador Sirion Vipont (ImperialShadows) - 10 Votes (Ricecracker, Sandy, I Scream Clone, Sir Dillon, Escape the Fate, Quarryman, Svelte, JimButcher, Bob the Construction Man, Zepher) Francis, Friar (Svelte) - 3 Vote (ImperialShadows, Alice, Darth_Legois) Non-Voters - 5 People (Stash2sixx, TinyPiesRUs, professor flitwick, WhiteFang, Striker) A majority vote of 10 is needed to convict, Therefore, ImperialShadows has been convicted. The afternoon sun was streaming into the hall, and after much debate, a conviction had been reached. The residents of the castle had chosen Sirion Vipont, the Ambassador for Dromindur in the Alliance of the Three Nations, a powerful Wizard who only the night before had defeated the dangerous Ankorian Sorcerer, and very shortly, a new initiate of the Kingdom of the Dead. "Bring down the blasphemer!", someone cried. "Kill the traitorous scum!" another agreed. "Won't someone please just think of the children?", somebody else muttered. The crowd was getting wild; surely soon all hell would break lose. The Ambassador desperately tried to appeal to the angry mob. "People, please listen!", he shouted. "You can't kill me! I'm a representative of Dromindur, an important man, and your only hope in defeating the Dragon spell casters if they should return. I dealt with the Sorcerer like you wanted, didn't I? And besides, I'm dashingly handsome!" The crowd were unmoved however, and began to close in. "Guards!", the captain cried. "Take this evil doer to the dungeons, ready for the castle executioner to deal with tonight. We should not have to suffer his presence any longer." Before the guards could move however, Sirion called forth his wizard's fire, forcing back the mob. "That's it then!", he fumed. "If you no longer wish my participation in this search for evil doers, in this Alliance, then I shall be leaving, and you can't stop me. If any of you comes any closer, I will incinerate you like I did the Sorcerer here." The crowd retreated, clearing a path to the doors for the Ambassador. Releasing his hold on the fire, he began walking towards the exit, holding himself with dignity in the face of the hateful stares from the crowd. Stopping suddenly, the Ambassador turned back and addressed the King. Your majesty, I take my leave of you and your castle. I am only sorry that your residents could not see the truth in this matter, but never the less, I still respect you and what you stand for, and hope that there will be a time in the future that our two lands can once again consider peace. I do not believe it will be soon however. The King nodded his head in mute acceptance of the spoken words, and watched unmoving as the Ambassador made his way out of the castle. The rest of the residents closed in behind to watch him go, silently fuming at his escape from their clutches. Calling forth his magic once again, Sirion strode confidently towards the heavy, locked front doors of the entrance foyer. Outside, all was peaceful. Birds were chirping, and the sun was shining brightly, in contrast to the terrible things that had and were still yet to take place inside the castle. Bursting open the doors, Sirion walked out into the sunshine, glad to be leaving the ungrateful residents of Matidoer. Stopping on the path, he silently grieved for the deaths that were to come because of the narrow-mindedness of some people. Perhaps he could still do something for them. Turning, he raised his arms and brought forth two great streams or magic, directing them at the doors. With great dexterity, Sirion manipulated the flows of power and weaved a complex web of magic across the front of the castle. The doors slammed shut, and the Grand Hall and all the people standing there watching were cut of from his view. Quiet once more returned to the castle. In the silence, the people inside the castle looked at the closed doors with mixed feelings. Had they made a terrible mistake, convicting the Ambassador, or had they managed to send off one of the biggest threats to their existence? They would not know for sure until the morning... ******************** Day 3 has now ended. Tonight will not be a sudden death night. Please send in your night actions, if you have one, as soon as possible. If you do not wish to use it, please let me know anyway. The night will last 2 days, as outlined previously. The sooner you get your actions in, the sooner I can prepare Day 4. Thanks.
  24. Thanks for that Shadows, much easier to get the ending up now. I will have the conclusion posted shortly, thanks for a better day.
  25. Dear Lord, what a shame! Poor Lord Gregor, killed in our midst! Shouldn't we call the police or something, this is a serious situation we have here... I will of course be happy to give him the full spiritual farewell he deserved, and will pray for his soul that it will have an easy passage to eternal life with our dear Creator on high. What I am truly intrigued by is this Lucy person. Who is she, and why is she being avenged? I think finding answers to these questions may be a help in what we are doing. Wait, what are we doing, anyway?
