  1. It's so strange that BDP can never include real Space sets. Why choose a space inspired City build instead of a real Space set? There are almost always Castle sets available and at least three Pirates sets have been chosen. Why this discrimination against Space?
  2. IKEA Rudsta is ideal for Lego. https://www.ikea.com/se/sv/p/rudsta-vitrinskap-antracit-50450137/
  3. And not all bricks are the same. I have bricks from the 70s and early 80s that are perfect and white while others have yellowed quickly (mostly because of exposure to light). I had the Legends version of the USS Constellation in a window for several years and some of the gray pieces were yellowed and others were not yellowed at all. The pieces were next to each other and faced against the window. It must be down to the material and color ingredients that are used.
  4. The 2010s had some very nice successful in house themes that coexisted with the licensed themes. It doesn't have to be 80s or 90s style sets and themes, the modern versions of the in house themes like Kingdoms proves that if the sets are good the theme will sell. Kids didn't suddenly lose interest in castles in 2013, it was Lego who made a subpar Castle theme that wasn't popular that year and many people take this as proof that in house themes like Castle are unpopular nowadays.
  5. As I mentioned in my earlier comment there are almost twice as many licensed sets. I know that some sets (both licensed and unlicensed) are not in the catalog but most are.
  6. I took a catalog and counted all sets that contain minifigures. There were 75 in house sets and 120 licensed sets. I counted very fast so there might be some minor mistakes but that is roughly the number.
  7. That is exactly how I feel. Back then they could make their own things and now everything feels soulless because of Hollywood. Now they can't even make Space sets because of Star Wars. It went in the wrong direction when Peter Eio got promoted and Poul Plougmann (he almost single handedly ruined Lego) got hired and tried to change Lego. They tried to become like Mattel and that caused all the economic problems (too much product diversification).
  8. Those are so beautiful! I hope they bring those to Billund as well.
  9. I use PayPal on Lego Shop at Home and it's very easy and fast to use. One click and a password is all that is required. It's also possible to pay right away with a credit card but if you want it to be as simple as possible I'd recommend PayPal.
  10. Now would be the perfect time for a full wave of normal Castle sets with Dreamz and Monkie Kid on the way out and they are also too similar to the Ninjago sets while being subpar in quality and too silly compared to Ninjago. It's madness to have so many silly themes with mechs in vibrant colors. Maybe something like the fantasy era Castle sets would be the best solution?
  11. In the movie Beck 43-Ett Nytt Liv (Sweden 2021) a 6949 Robo Guardian is visible in several scenes (in the movie it is called "a new transformer toy" and is a gift from the boy's grandmother). @antp maybe you are interested in the picture? Feel free to use it in your list.
  12. I'm very happy that the upscaled blue Classic Space astronaut has a printed logo. I'm not sure if I would even buy it if it had a sticker. I'll buy it next time I go to a Lego store.
  13. At first I didn't like the latest City space sets at all but after a while I learned to appreciate them because the concept is similar to Classic Space and they are definitely sci-fi. They are still not my cup of tea but they fill an important role in the lineup. If kids would dislike non licensed sci-fi sets and themes they would never have made the most recent City space sets. It think that those who say that kids doesn't like space/sci-fi themes should either post some proof/sources or stop saying it. We already have proof (on video) that SW was the reason for the end of the Space theme so I don't understand how people still can deny that. I think that under current circumstances the best way forward would be another City space faction and let the consumer decide if they are allies, enemies or something in between to the current faction.
  14. I really like this one. It looks really great in Blacktron colors. The canopy looks like it was made for Blacktron.
  15. The Lego Education space sets feels like a hidden second wave of the City Space sets. I especially like the rover.
