  1. As a whole series? Still probably not for me. I like them well enough - I have several of the older "classic Spacemen," and I got the new Blacktron Cruiser just the other day - but they don't interest me enough to want to spend a whole CMF budget on them. The minifigs are fine on their own in moderation (like the Brown Classic Spaceman from earlier this year), but I don't really want a whole series of them, especially when, to fit the feel of the older minifigs, not many new parts would probably be introduced. I'd rather have something completely new and out there to fill an entire CMF series, not retoolings of minifigs that have existed for decades. Granted, I'm also not necessarily the biggest Space fan, so that also probably brings it down in my eyes. Edit: Let me see if I can better phrase this... I think the CMF, if it is "in-house space," could go one of three ways (or maybe have a combination of these three): 1:1 recreations of older Space figures (S24 Brown Spaceman). As much as it might be cool to get some recolors of the older spacemen, I don't need an entire Crayola box of them as a series either - especially since they probably wouldn't produce any new molds. Minifigs inspired by older Space themes, but don't directly copy them/only reference them (S21 Space Police Guy, S3 Space Villain, S6 Intergalactic Girl, S22 Space Creature, etc). These would probably get some new molds and might be more unique overall, but, again, I don't know if I need a whole series of them. Minifigs set in space/sci-fi, but without any direct callback to older space themes (S9 Alien Avenger, S16 Cyborg, S13 Alien Trooper, etc). Would be the most out there, and potentially the most fitting of a CMF... But again, I don't need 12 of them all in one go. TLDR: I prefer my space minifigs in smaller doses - I don't need a lot of them all at once, especially when several other types of minifigs could be more appealing. It's definitely not out of the realm for Lego to do an in-house "themed" set - look at the Monster and Party series, after all (which also largely didn't appeal to me). And there's even a chance that I might get a couple if they appeal to me - I just don't need a whole 12-minifig series. That's probably my personal taste, but I can see AFOLs who are really into the space-related themes potentially liking this series. Based on the wording from Brick Clicker, that seems to be the case. There is apparently a "big push for space" coming from Lego next year, which will be seen in sets from several themes and include the April/May CMF.
  2. It looks like it might actually be minifigs... The person giving all of these leaks specified "molded heads just like Fabuland." If that's the case, I think that the Nooks (sharing the same head mold) and Isabelle would be likely for a first wave, as well as some variety of "person" villagers represented with normal minifigs. I wonder which animal villagers/other NPCs will be given priority... Heck, maybe that "space" minifig theme for May really is just a placeholder name, and it will actually be for Animal Crossing, so more molds/characters can be made. If I remember right, wasn't "coconut" the code name for Indiana Jones? So it wouldn't necessarily have to relate. I don't think this has been clarified by that leaker one way or another yet...
  3. (Open Internet, checks piece count of X-Jet) Excuse me Lego - Seriously? That jet just went from something I was saving for to something I might skip. Nice job, Marvel. Hopefully this is a case like that clone battle back from a few months ago and the retail price is lower than we were once told. But with the Hoopty priced the way it is... I'm not holding out much hope. Hopefully it has an absurd amount of minifigs to make up for that atrocious price. I have a hunch a retailor catalog of some kind got distributed/leaked, and that's where this info is coming. It makes sense that we would get themes, prices, set numbers, and part counts, but I don't think we'll get much more until later. I personally will take pretty much anything else with a grain of salt - any other descriptors are probably coming from grainy photos inside of said catalogs, and people have been wrong about them before (cough Kang/Goliath cough).
  4. I don't think any of those will be from the earlier picture leak - those all looked like 1000+ piece sets. I could be wrong, though.
  5. I just checked - the PPP was usually pretty close to 10c per part, except for the Dixie Kong set. So, I don't think it's necessarily indicative of minifigs.
  6. Such a Nintendo thing - releasing Animal Crossing tie-in sets a year after the last major update for the game. I desperately hope that it has minifigs and not digifigs like the Mario series has, though I still might buy one or two of the sets if the builds look okay anyways. If anyone wants to speculate, the "New Lego Theme," which releases in March, has: 77046: $14.99 (170 pieces) 77047: $19.99 (194 pieces) 77048: $29.99 (233 pieces) 77049: $39.99 (389 pieces) 77050: $74.99 (535 pieces)
  7. I'm hoping that S25 will be what convinces us that boxed CMF are actually "worth it." Marvel Series 2 easily could have been in bags, based on the number of accessories, but it's possible they had to be designed as if they would be a bagged series and the designs couldn't be changed. If we can get more accessories, some small builds, or maybe even two minifigs in one box, then I would feel more justified (though that's all wishful thinking - especially two-for-one minifigs). Either way, after browsing this site anonymously for years, I'm excited to participate in my first guessing game, if another one of those opens up!
  8. A "Space" series? Hmm... I feel conflicted. If it's all centered on classic Spacemen, then I won't be super interested. I think Lego might be able to do some cool stuff with it, but, aside from maybe one or two robots or aliens, what would it be besides a rainbow of the classic figs, especially when a lot of them have already been done before. If anything, it will just make me think: "this could have been a regular set(s) and not a CMF." If "Space" is a codename for some licensed space-related theme... All depends on what the license is! Some I would be really interested in, others I won't touch with a ten-foot pole. Now, a third, unlikely option that I think could be cool is if all of the minifigs are space-related, but with several smaller individual licenses. So, maybe 4 Classic Lego-centered spacemen, 2 Star Trek figs, 2 Star Wars, 2 Doctor Who, 2 real-life NASA astronauts, Etc. Technically, there is some precedence for this with TLM Series 2, who somehow had the main cast of The Wizard of Oz snuck in there, but I also don't think this would realistically happen. It would be a cool was to celebrate all of Space/Sci-Fi, but the liscencing would be a nightmare. I'll hold out judgement until we get more than a one-word descriptor.
  9. I'm hopeful that the move to blind boxes might actually help with that issue. In theory, the boxes should be able to hold more pieces (like how the Video boxes had the stands/printed tiles). For series after this Marvel one, I hope that we might be able to get small side builds with some of these blind boxes to help justify them a little bit. For example, maybe Yoda comes with enough pieces to make his jedi council chair. Han comes with an Advent Calendar-sized Falcon. It might be enough to skirt that rule to have it happen. Not that I really want or need a Star Wars series, but maybe S25 can use this idea. A street vendor with a small cart; a farmer with some fences/water trough; a water cooler and bench for an athlete; a computer and desk for a gamer; and so on. Sure, it probably won't happen, but a man can dream!
  10. Is it possible that when people say "Ravager Groot is coming with Rocket," they mean he's coming as a small side build to go with Rocket - like how Groot had the cassette tape? It would solve some of the current confusion. Out of everything announced, I think I'm the most excited for the X-jet/Blackbird. $80 is a lot for me to spend on one set, so hopefully it's packed with minifigs I'd really want. I could also see the set potentially having a Sentinel sidebuild, so it has "conflict" for a playset. I also hope there aren't too many characters that end up being exclusive to the X-Mansion - hopefully it has desirable recolors of existing characters instead (maybe labcoat Beast, black suit Storm, and undershirt/Logan Wolverine, as some ideas?), but I know it's a but naïve to think that. Edit: I just looked up the old X-Jet set, and... Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm expecting, just with bigger and more detailed builds, with swapped out minifigs (five or six, hopefully?)
  11. That's good to know - thank you! Hopefully it will be a bit cheaper (around the $150 range) and I can get it with the Viking Village and a few odds and ends. Cheers!
  12. I made a comment about some ideas last page.
  13. I'm Message you where I found it.
  14. Instagram chatter is saying that the next minifig series will be S25! No idea who or what will be in it though, but at least it should be a "regular" series.
  15. My recommendation would be either Minifigures Madness or Minifigures Plus. Minifigures Plus has preorders up right now for complete sets, and there is a discount code out there to bring down the price to about retail. Minifigures Madness is based in Ireland and sells by the case, but is the cheapest if you would want multiple sets.
  16. Here's the list, if anyone needs it: 76275 Venom and Doc Ock - $10.99 (possibly a venomized Doc Ock?) 76276 Venom Mech - $15.99 76277 Mar Machine Mech - $15.99 76278 Rocket's Warbird - $34.99 76279 Spiderman Car - $29.99 76280 No Way Home Set - $34.99 (Build is Sandman, includes 3 figs?) 76281 X-Men Jen (!) - $79.99 76282 Buildable Rocket - $54.99 (in the style of buildable Groot) 76283 - Buildable Green Goblin - $34.99 76292 Captain America 4 Set - $49.99 76296 Buildable Falcon Captain America - $34.99 76298 Buildable Spiderman - $34.99 All of these seem to be early 2024 releases (Jan-May). And some people have the set numbers shuffled around.
  17. I really like that Padme minifig! Hopefully I can find her for a reasonable price at some point.
  18. There they are! I was hoping they would show up this morning. I wonder how they decided who got the "action" pieces. Out of the 12, only WBN, Wolverine, Kate, and She-Hulk got them - and the latter two use it to display their accessories. A few updates to my initial impressions: It looks like the leg printing is better than the Disney series. Hopefully we can start seeing some early reviews in the next few weeks and this can be 100% confirmed. Goliath: Glad he has hair; I wonder what his face will look like. Still not very interested in him though. Storm: Looked great before, looks great now. I will still change the hair, though, even if she will have a mohawk in '97. Beast: His glasses-side face looks perfect - I love the teeth sticking out, which I couldn't really make out from the initial leak. Microscope looks weak and out of place, though. Kate: Glad she has two expressions! And I'll be on team "I like the new bow." No idea why the pizza box has an action piece, though, other than for display. Maybe they're teasing a new MCU hero, Pizza-Man?! Moon Knight: I think he might overtake Sam Captain America for "most detailed Marvel CMF." I do find it odd that he doesn't have two of his knife things though, since he frequently dual wielded - possibly it's a spare part, so he will come with two anyways? Wolverine: Printing, again, looks great. I hope he comes with a second face print with some kind of a smirk. I can't tell if I like that Sentinel head or not though. I'll need to see more pictures to get a better feel for it. She-Hulk: I think She-Hulk's case file is for Abomination? It's a bit hard to tell. I can't make out the phone at all. though. Hawkeye: Looks... Fine. Nothing to get overly excited about, nothing to fret over. The owl will will still be what sells that minifig, I think. Mr. Knight: I think he got a little worse for me, actually. I can't quite put my finger one it... Something about the face maybe? Echo: Don't know her that well, and I'm not too interested to see the show. The braid looks really good, though! (It can be seen in the 360 view) Agatha: Same boat as Storm: liked before, and still like now. I do wonder what the inside of the Darkhold looks like. WBN: I haven't seen the short, so I "don't get an opinion." If I did get an opinion, though, I still wouldn't like it. Overall, I think the series has some standouts that I'll happily add to my collection (all the X-Men, Moon Knight, Agatha). Some looks like good characters and will be popular, but just aren't for me (Kate, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Mr. Knight). But there are a few oddball inclusions that bring the series down a bit, especially when the series is only 12 minifigs. I mean, there's a chance that Echo or Goliath could somehow become one of my favorite MCU characters, but I won't hold my breath over it, and would have preferred some of the other characters other people have already mentioned (and that I already know and have an affinity for, and am therefore more likely to want to buy). This also wasn't the series to start boxes on, I think. If the target of this series is adults, they probably won't want to buy blind boxes and will buy them loose online instead. If the target is kids, I think they made some odd choices - how many little kids have strong feelings towards these characters to ask their parents for them blind for them? As much as I (and most people) would have disliked it, I actually think that the Disney 100 series would have been a better place to introduce the boxes (if we have to introduce them at all): those characters appealed to both kids and adults, and I think there is less "unboxing disappointment" with a Disney character over one of these Marvel ones. Either way, I hate these blind cardboard boxes, but I guess that's the sad reality we live in now.
  19. The Forestman Hideout was $150, and the Blacktron Cruiser was $180, if I remember correctly? So, it will probably be somewhere in that range. I do wonder what happened to the Galileo GWP that won that contest last year... Maybe it was planned for the summer, but got bumped due to the Disney 100 set? Maybe it's set for a January release? Ah, well.
  20. If it is true that X-Men '97 will be going on for several seasons, I think it greatly increases the chance we'll get sets to go with it (especially if the steam of Marvel Disney+ slows down compared to these last few years). After the three from the minfig series, by next wishlist ones will be: Mystique, Rogue, Gambit, Cyclopes, Jubilee, Magneto, and Jean, in roughly that order. Not that I'd turn down Nightcrawler, or Morph, or Bishop, or Cable, or Mr. Sinister... C'mon, Lego, gimme!
  21. My guess is that, by January/February, we will have a better idea on how much from the video will for sure be coming. By that point, we will hopefully have some set numbers and possibly even photos of at least a couple of the things from that leak. If even a couple of them start to become more concretely confirmed (or even release), then I'll be more likely to believe the rest (keeping in mind some may still get cancelled). I'm still not expecting that set to release until at least summer next year, though, in basically the same slot that Eldorado Fortress had this year. I am wishing that village is coming, though, and that it isn't just be a concept that dies in the bowels of Lego for whatever reason. My siblings and I all pooled our money to get it over the course of the year and got it, and it's probably one of my favorite and most nostalgic sets (along with that entire fantasy wave - I'm so glad I still have all of them and got to be the sibling to inherit all of them). If it does come, I'll probably use the money I currently have earmarked for the Disney castle and get the Medieval Village + Viking Village instead. So, fingers crossed!
  22. Haha, you're happy to it! I've never read the comics - just seen the Disney+ show. I don't dislike that both are in the series - in a lot of ways, it does make sense - it just isn't my preference (especially since I think the Mr. Knight design, while accurate, is fairly basic in my opinion). I think someone completely different (Scarab, Khonsu, etc) would have been more interesting is all. That feels a little harsh. I personally think I can still like or dislike a design without knowing all of the background. Most people seem to think he is well-designed and accurate, though, so hopefully those who are looking forward to him like him! Again, with no comic background, all that I have is what's on Disney+. I've never been a fan of mohawks on anybody, Lego or not, but it's an easy enough fix for me to make her more like the older cartoon look with the down, long hair. Again, happy to those who know the character from those other sources and are getting what they want! I also never got the old X-men sets, so these are all new minifigs for me. Sounds like a great summary of nearly every minifig series ever, haha. It does stink that we can't just get the handful of ones we might want from the store (or, for that matter, army-build for future series) - the options are to either buy a full set (at about retail), or get loose ones online from resellers (at higher prices, especially for ones that will be more popular, like the X-men probably will be). So, what you're saying is, we all kind of lost our heads over this? ...Don't worry, I hear your booing, I'm leaving now... I do hope that the printing on these minifigs looks good IRL though. The Disney 100 series had some issues with some of the figures (especially the legs, like with Robin Hood). I could see some of these potentially having similar issues, but hopefully that's just me overthinking things.
  23. Here on my thoughts on the series: Agatha: Looks pretty much exactly how I would want her. She does have the same oddly cheerful face like Wanda had in the first series, but it doesn't bug me too much. The Darkhold is a nice touch as well. Moon Knight: Looks perfect, honestly. I imagine he'll come with two sets of his crescent dagger things, which is probably how I'll display him. Hopefully that hood piece can get reused down the line for some mideval figs! Mr. Knight: Feels redundant standing next to Moon Knight. I would have rather gotten Scarlet Scarab (it also would have made the gender ratio exactly even, funnily enough). As-is, though, he looks good, and that fish tank can probably be reused in a lot of MOCs. WBN: Haven't seen the short, and I have no interest to. Not really interested. Hopefully the "light on dark face printing" looks okay. She-Hulk: Hated the series, but the figure does look accurate. It looks like he's holding a court briefing in her right hand? I'm curious to see what that looks like. As-is, though, it's not really for me. Baby Owl (featuring Hawkeye): City will be getting some good use out of that mold next year! Hawkeye looks fine, but nothing special. I do like the new bow piece, and I wonder if it will become more widespread. Lucky the Pizza Dog (featuring Kate Bishop): I'm probably one of about a dozen people who wasn't a huge fan of her character - I thought she has just okay. Looks good though, and more pizza box variety is always a good thing. Goliath: Suffers from the same issue that Gamora did last series: he hasn't really shown up yet, so it's had to be attached to the character. As-is, I'm not that interested. I will be interested to see if the Ant-man statue comes with a spare though. Echo: Like the prosthetic leg, not interested in the character (or her show) overall. I'm not sure what she's holding - an ice cream cone? Beast: I thought he might looks odd as a minifig, but he actually looks pretty good! I do hope he has a second face printing that shows some teeth. The mug is great, but the microscope looks a bit odd. I know that the flask piece is shoehorned into more CMF's than it probably deserves, but I think I would have preferred it over the microscope. (I also know the X-mansion is coming, but I don't know if I will be able to afford it, so this gives me some way to get a couple of them). Storm: I don't like Storm with a mohawk - I'll swap out the hair when I get her. Otherwise, looks great! Wolverine: A bit redundant, but he makes sense to be here. I do wish Professor X would have been here instead though - the box might have helped justify a bigger wheelchair/hoverchair build. I do hope his leg printing looks good in-person, Lego has struggled with complex patterns and contrasting colors recently. So, in conclusion: Really like, and would get individually: Agatha, Moon Knight, all of the X-Men. Okay, and not opposed to having: Mr. Knight, Hawkeye, Kate. Not a fan/don't know: WBN, She-Hulk, Goliath, Echo. I wish I would be able to just feel for the few I really want, but I'll probably just do what I did for the Disney series: order a full box or two, keep one full set myself, and sell the rest. Even selling the Disney series "at-retail" ($90 a set), I still ended up getting my whole set for free. I imagine I can probably do the same with this series.
  24. I wonder when we're going to get the official reveal for the minifig series. I checked my receipts from MinifigureMadness, and I had my first order of the Disney 100 series placed on March 3rd, and were released on May 1st - nearly two months early. Now, here we are, a few days away from August, and we still don't have anything yet. Hopefully I can get them ordered soon!
  25. After being a bit underwhelmed by the design of Eldorado Fortress, I hope this set is able to itch the scratch that set gave me. The set designer has said over of the Lego Leaks subreddit that he's "super proud of the final design and cannot wait for it to hit the shelves," so I'll remain cautiously optimistic. Personally, I would love it if they snuck a small ship into the set - even just a rowboat. Only a few months to go until we know for sure!
