  1. If it's a lifestyle photo, then I'd guess they'll announce the set in the next day or two - if it was just box art of a more "stock" photo, it could have been a rogue toy store posting a photo early, but they lifestyle ones are usually only from Lego directly, the big retailors, or the "press kits" for the Lego news sites. Not much longer to wait! Yeah, that seems like way more effort than I was expecting out of a one-off contest set! Heck, that sounds like more new prints than a standard Marvel wave nowadays! That makes me thing even more that at least some of these could be reused in single-movie sets in the near future.
  2. Thanks! Belle is the ball dress makes me think that they could pull something similar to what will happen with Lilo and reuse her in some upcoming Beauty and the Beast set, with the Beast and all of the other characters. Wait a minute - is this set just a way to get us to buy single minifigs early and have more prints available for future, single-movie sets? That was already the case with the Villain Icons set for at least the Evil Queen, and it could have been two if the Sleeping Beauty set and stayed with minifigs (sounded like that was a late-stage change) and reused Malificent. If that's the case, then maybe only the critters and Gepetto will actually be exclusive to the set, and the rest could be reused for other sets next year/beginning of 2026? ...Anyways, that's my current crackpot theory.
  3. Thanks! I wonder if Lego issued a takedown - was it marked confidential? Based on what everyone is saying, it sounds like there was enough detail that I don't think it was a fake.
  4. Gaston: "First time?" And, where is the photo?! I can't seem to find it on Instagram or Reddit, and I don't see any official posts (everyone's talking about the Pharell Williams set on the regular news outlets). Anyways, just based on the minifig list: Belle: Finally, Lego! Took ya long enough! Is it the ball dress or the peasant garb, though? Lilo: Well, I was half-right about my idea about Stitch. It's probably a copy of what we will get in the L&S House next year, for better or worse. Gepetto: A good companion for Pinocchio - makes since for an "OG" character. Bruno: So, we're going to get a full minifig Magrigal house next fall some time to go with this - like how Gaston predated Belle, right? That's a set I'd keep on my radar. Minifig scale Simba: Kitten or adult? Should look nice next to Bambi and Dumbo in either case.
  5. Would not surprise me if there is a misunderstanding and this comes as part of the City theme or similar and is not a CMF at all The initial leak has been corrected to say it's coming in May, not in April. I think it's the regular CMF, sadly.
  6. Ewwww........ Like, you've got to be joking, right, Lego? This is supposed to be a minifigure series. People have been begging for Animal Crossing, or Fortnite, or more Disney or Marvel, even just another normal CMF wave, but this is what you want to do?! Even when Mario wanted to do it's own thing, it didn't clog up the CMF slate. So, why are you doing this? The car polybags (which have a bigger part count, and everyone knows exactly what they are) never sell out near me. That series is going to be a complete and utter joke, especially after two very popular series. I used to think Simpsons Series 2 was the worst, but at least that gave me a torso I could use for my knock off Velma. Maybe if one of the cars looks cool I'll get it, but I think this will be an extremely easy pass. At the very least, I'm glad that this series didn't come out this year. I think the barcode scanning has lead to more overall sales and more buyer satisfaction, and the sales this year probably reflect that. If F1 came out to test the new codes, Lego could have taken the wrong message and said "well, these aren't selling, so the codes aren't worth printing." Absolutely awful call all around. Oh - I suppose that also means that the January wave will be a normal, unlicensed series, since it'd be odd to have three licensed series in a row. Too early to start a wishlist thread?
  7. I just got seven from two Wal-marts near me, and they were all $4.98. Not sure why yours would be higher... After just one day, one of the Wal-marts near me has already sold 2/3 of what they had, and the other one just got theirs out when I arrived. Between the two stores, I got three Dragonborn, two Halflings, one Tasha, and one Tiefling. Half of those are for family, but I'm keeping some of them as duplicates to go with my full sets, which should be arriving shortly. The codes are definitely handy, but a part of me does kinda miss feeling up bags. Noticed lots of Dwarves and Lady of Pains still around...
  8. Both the AT-AT and the X-Wing didn't leak until about a month before they released. The fact we've already seen Crumb and one of the inner boxes is more than we usually get. Either way, we could very well see something this week.
  9. I have neither the space, nor the money, for two big Disney castles. I was able to justify getting the most recent iteration on sale, but I don't think I could do it again just for Belle and the Beast. Maybe if it was at a smaller scale I could make it work - but other wise, no dice for me. If that is the case, it would be very funny that Target has been the lone source of Beauty and the Beast material minifigs, since Gaston was with the exclusive Villain Icons set. If it has Belle and the Beast, and is around that price range, I'll keep it on my radar. If we want to use the Viking Village as a comparison, we knew the part count/price in late July and had official photos at the end of August (August 31st, to be exact). So, I imagine we will get more info very soon - I'd guess sometime next week, unless Lego needs to promote something else instead. I'm also not going to expect much in the minifigure department - I think at most there will be four, and probably no new molds (like Villain Icons). And I think there's a good chance Stitch might take a slot and be reused in the Lilo and Stich house next year (he's also in the initial design, and the Evil Queen was reused in the Snow White Cottage shortly after).
  10. Maybe I'm just not a huge Disney super-fan, but I still like all of the Disney princess minifigs. Yeah, they're not perfect, but I still think they look pretty good. Frankly, my biggest issue is with Mulan, with the gigantic medal printed on her torso - I would have preferred that to either be a separate piece, or just not included at all. That, and I'd like a dress of Ariel and for Belle to exist at all - or, some non-dress outfits. And, as far as reselling goes, I wouldn't be shocked if it was a combination of only certain minifigs "leaking" from factories in large quantities (how else would one seller have 73 of them?), and/or a small number or resellers hoarding, or at least not listing, certain minifigs to drive up the prices. It's been used in other places - it was in a Build a Minifig at Lego stores recently, and it'll be with the Harry Potter advent calendar this year. And, oddly enough, they used that piece in the Disney camera image of her and the Godmother, so they may wait and do that variant later, maybe in some $60 carriage with her, the Fairy Godmother, and the pumpkin carriage.
  11. I'll join Team Bigfig... Though long-term, I would like to see a video game Mr. Incredible-like torso made. There's a bunch of characters it could be used for, and it would probably make both camps happy.
  12. That witch looks great! They even took a page out of the DnD minifig book and didn't do any skin printing on the torso, so you would switch the hands and just have her be a normal, non-green hag if you wanted. I might even get two, just to do that! I might try to find that pumpkin ghost torso as well. Punk skeleton's a miss for me, though. I wonder what the accessory for it will be... And, on the topic of the classic space parts: I'm thankful that Lego is at least giving us the option of having these officially, even if some of the ways to obtain them are a little more cumbersome. If everything were to at least end up on Pick a Brick, though, that would make me the most happy.
  13. Not to totally roast you, but "I" should be capitalized - and not doing it does not make you sound like a very intelligent adult. For everyone else: didn't we have another "AI" thread like this last week about some other topic? At this point, you're either helping train AI, or just wasting time arguing with someone whose mind isn't going to be trained and/or a troll. Just block and ignore.
  14. Fully agreed. And aside from the heads, most of the other parts could even be used for other minifigs, especially in city scenarios. I really do fear that, if we can't get a CMF, or possibly an advent calendar, that Orville, Sable, and more may never get made...
  15. That's... An unfortunate phrase for this Marvel thread ;) But thanks for coming in and keeping things in check!
  16. Nintendo has their photos release for Animal Crossing a really long time in advance, especially compared to other series. We might get a more detailed set list In the next month or so, but I doubt we'll get any photos for Star Wars until October, if not later.
  17. On second look, it also looks like there's a new kind of flower with the Celeste set - possibly mums? Those look very reusable and handy.
  18. I find it very amusing that the Bowser Car was apparently a Trojan Horse used to get these sets into existence (I'm only half-kidding). And I agree with y'all - I'm still wanting minifigs to go with these, but some of the buildable characters have their own charm, too. I might try to get the DK set and the Standard Kart on sale, but I'm not rushing out to get these by any means. I also find it interesting that there's no representation of a blue shell in any of the sets - I feel like that's one of, if not the most, iconic Mario Kart items. Heck, a larger, buildable one in the $10-15 range (a-la the Fortnite Durr Burger) would probably sell like hotcakes to people wanting a desk toy.
  19. No Sable is a bit of a downer, but otherwise, I think all of these sets are very good! Able Sister's for $40 is a good price, and I'm very excited to see Poppy is coming. I'd still love to see a CMF wave at some point to fill in the increasing amount of gaps in the NPC line and get a few more villagers, though...
  20. What about Droids, Ewoks, Visions, Tales of the Jedi/Empire, Clone Wars '03, or Jedi Temple Challenge? Granted, a lot of these are older/limited series, but a show simply existing does not mean that it unequivocally deserves a Lego set. Heck, I think a lot of sets based on the newer Disney+ shows haven't done super well (partly due to price, partly due to show reception), so Lego may have dodged a bullet by not mass-producing sets for the show - even if some minifigures would have been interesting for some people. If the show was still going, I could see this possibly happening - but, now that the show is cancelled, I think the chances are extremely slim we get anything from that show.
  21. Lotta big sets... But I think they all look good, and are worthy additions to the program! And the Mushroom Village made it, so hooray! And the castle of this wave isn't just grey, which also helps it to stand out. I do find it a little ironic that the program now has a hard rule against having animals in "cruel" scenarios, yet the Thieves of Tortuga has a shark hanging from a hook (i have zero issues with it - I just think it's funny).
  22. Zeb's the only one of the Ghost crew I'm missing, so having a chance at getting a reprint is good! Even if he's in a $100+ set, I'm sure people will be parting it out and I can get him on Bricklink without too much hassle. Zeb is fairly tall and has his hand-feet, but I don't think satyr legs would be right for him... I think normal legs would look just fine, IMO.
  23. I think Zero looks a little... Too good? He just doesn't look like Lego to me - he just looks like a small action figure. I'm sure that's not really a bad thing, but it does look a little odd to me is all. And I agree with everyone else - not having Oogie is a very odd decision. There's probably got to be a reason why - even if a mold was out of the budget, it probably wouldn't have taken much to get a brick built one thrown in, even if it looked a little off.
  24. If you'd want a second DC option, I think a Hall of Justice could also do well - and, open the door to more characters than just those who are Superman-adjacent. That being said, i do think that a Baxter Building will probably be coming in the next couple years. The big Sanctum Sanctorum D2C is loosely based off of Multiverse of Madness (a movie which only did okay as far as MCU standards go) with a few other characters thrown in, and I think the upcoming Fantastic Four movie will do at least as well as that movie. At the very least, I'm sure someone working at Lego is testing out prototypes for it and waiting to see how the movie goes before they fully greenlight the project.
  25. My guesses for those ones would be: Baby Dragon: Less likely. Lego's come up with a lot of new baby dragon molds in the past year, so there's not a lot of need to keep this specific one around. New Dagger: Tossup. It's obviously cheaper, since it's soft plastic, and comes with a spare. The shape is definitely more fantasy-medieval in design, so if a set comes out that matches that idea, it could go in there. Otherwise, the old dagger mold is more universal. Dragonborn Breastplate: Less likely. Like the dagger, it probably fits in better with fantasy-medieval designs (as opposed to the older armor piece), but unlike the dagger, it's a more expensive piece and might be more difficult to keep in circulation. Antlered Hood: Low. Parts with both hard plastic and softer rubber are expensive, so I think it will be exclusive to the CMF. New Wings: Likely. It's a long overdue part that's generic enough it can be used in a lot of other circumstances. I could see it coming in a new set very soon, or recolored/with printing in a generic CMF next year.
