Yeah, and the barcode system was able to connect to motors and sensors. While smart brick cannot connect to motors or sensors. And the barcode system used replacement batteries, standard AA batteries while the smart brick has non replacement battery inside. So my opinion over 25 year old system wins the current crap system. I have no clue how technology has not evoluted/improved over time that much:/.

Well, i got a thought. The usual argument for lack of B models is that the licensors don't want their nice supercar model to become like a garbage truck. But lego in 2017 and 2018 maded fully unique out of this world B models. Which were a completely fantasy based models. Especially the 42063 B model got licence from BMW. But in 2026 the 42226 didn't get any fantasy vehicle as an alternative build. But in 2017 BMW seemingly was happy to put their licence on a fantasy vehicle. So why not in 2026. I have no clue why tides turned:).

Yeah, to be clear, i know the designers aren't to blame, because higher up's pulls the strings and the designers are handcuffed to work what ever the higher up wants them to do. Eventhought the designer wanted to do something else creative and cool and not a another car or recolor for excisting car:).

Yeah it is kind of crazy that 10 years ago we got cool stuff. Now we just get cars. Cars and MORE CARS. And even more recolors which wasn't a thing 10 years ago. Because designer seemingly had a lot more cool ideas for machinery and stuff. Oh well, luckily im waiting patiently for pantasy drop new sets with cool technic contraptions and mechanisms in seemingly ordinary system builds. I have found out that i really have fell in love with system builded objects genre which hides insane amount of technic functionality inside. Like the Pantasy Western Mine with it’s BAS motor and GBC functionality and the Pantasy Craft Brewery with fully working/recreated production line inside using a lot of technic gears axles and mechanisms:). I have now put on my wanted list the Pantasy Paradrop Ride(Motorized using BAS includes a motor:).)., Pantasy Retro Collection Desk Fan(Motorized using BAS includes a motor:).). And The Pantasy Retro Collection Old Sewing Machine. Those sets again have great technic functionality squeezed in a ordinary looking system build:).

Again more cars. And nothing interesting. Well, luckily competitors are catching up on weird technic mechanism contraptions:). Pantasy has released a circus paradrop ride with bas electronics and motor with seemingly cool technic mechanisms. And soon pantasy will release in their retro collection a desk fan with bas electronics and motor and a old sewing machine with realistic sewing functions using technic mechanisms. So luckily my lego technic spending is now really small and competitors spending much higher:).

Technic General Discussion
Auroralampinen replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ok, apparently lego stickers are coming of from 4 year old sets. So soon first car transporter gang cars will loose their headlights because they are stickers:). https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-hat-ein-sticker-problem-nach-wenigen-jahren-loesen-sich-die-aufkleber-219579/ But since their motto is the best is good enought. I can accept living without stickered headlights or any details;). And liebherr camed in 2020 so soon that will get the sticker peeling off problem;). But thankfully lego competitors like pantasy and lumibricks have allready switched to pad printing and edge to edge printing on most of their adult sets. And all of mine pantasy sets had only prints. I have the jesko builded so i will now keep close eye on its stickers:). -

Interesting, in set 60490 in step 74. Those warning stripes have a different thickness. Interesting small mistake:). -
I wonder, why are they release 2 different scales of the fast and furious car's at the same time. Last year the jack-o-lantern and the skyline were released on different months. But one hopefull aspect about the mitsubishi is this. The real life counterpart is FWD driven. So because lego didn't reduce the bugatti engine on bolide and 42222. Im really hopefull that mitsubishi will get the same acurate build with FWD and not "cheap box standard" RWD https://www.auto-data.net/en/mitsubishi-eclipse-ii-2g-2.0i-16v-141hp-15623
