Yeah, that's why I said sapient monsters/beasts would be neat. I could go for monster enemies so long as they have intelligence. Though, I suppose you're right. Establishing character for the Toa takes priority, so beasts would probably be the best choice (even though we really don't know how much characterization the Toa will get this early on if the animations are all we're getting right now). The reason I brought up Hero Factory is simply because it's the Constraction theme we had before Bionicle was brought back. I do agree Bionicle should do its own thing. But coming out of HF where we just had two straight years of non-intelligent, beast/monster enemies, I'm ready for some intelligent villains.

I don't know... We've had monster villains since Brain Attack and I'm ready for some sapient enemies. Though sapient beasts would be cool...

If they wanted the characters to have names, couldn't they just do a similar deal like with the Toa? Where it's the character's name and then a title? For instance: [insert name here] the Skull Warrior. Honestly, I don't mind the names. It doesn't really matter to me since I like how they sound as-is. In terms of the Mask Maker if it's Ekimu, what if instead of having the Mask of Creation it's the gold/trans blue blend Protector mask from the animation? Then they could continue to build up the MoCr for a different set later. I doubt this'll happen considering how much the MoCr has been built up from the start, but remember we didn't get the Mask of Life until '08 after its reveal in '06. And the MoCr is lost anyway story-wise, so Ekimu wouldn't have it to begin with. Just a thought.

Not necessarily. I was thinking, too, that they already know where Ekimu is sleeping (And Makuta, I suppose). But then I realized that the Protectors who put him in the sarcophagus were probably ones from years ago. They're the ones who passed down the Prophecy of Heroes through the ages to the current Protectors, and over that time, Ekimu's resting place was most likely forgotten. We don't know how much time passed between The Mask Makers being put to sleep and the current story.

I kinda hope they save Makuta for later. Build him up a little before releasing him as a set.

Correct! It was indeed a great movie. I'm kinda sad I missed it on Toonami, but I had already seen it before, so it's all good. But there's just something about watching it on TV, y'know? Right-o, you're up!

That's a pretty neat idea, but I feel the G1 Toa a written pretty solidly in the story. And making such a huge contradiction would probably do more harm than good. Anywho, I saw the Masks if Power trailer on Disney XD earlier today. I was so excited, and I felt like such a kid. :D

Correct! It is indeed Hanna. I'd say it's worth watching. I really enjoyed. (I haven't seen it in a while, but I've been meaning to watch it again)

All this talk about the Vahi: wasn't the matter settled that this is a separate continuity? The Star Trek reboot comparison was only used to say that this is a retelling of a story. But people jumped to the conclusion that the two Bionicle stories would be linked because, well, Spock. And the Vahi/half a mask deal was just to say that if they re-use concepts from the original story for G2, they'll change things. So, in G1, the Vahi was designed like half a mask, but in G2 they could make a full mask. I'm not saying that the/a Mask of Time won't be prominent. Clearly, there's something going on with the concept of Time. But I'm by no means saying that the Vahi from G1 (the physical thing) will show up in G2. I think G2 will get its own Mask of Time.

I'm pretty sure it's just one voice actor for the episodes as well. It's likely the Bios and episodes were done at different times, so he didn't settle on a voice for each character just yet.

Think that's because of the axle that keeps the eyestalk in place, or a flaw with the actual design? You'd think it'd be because of the axle, but the Metru eyestalk uses the same technique, so I guess it's just the part design that makes the light piping poor.

After I see The Hobbit tomorrow, I'll take a look around for any Bonkles. If I don't find anything, I guess I'll be waiting for the 1st. Not that I mind, though.

Oh yes. The hand-animated Tahu is glorious. So dynamic. I guess that's my biggest problem with the animations. They sometimes feel kinda... Stiff.

Nope! Really hope to see it on TV some day (don't watch many kid channels that it would probably air on). So good seeing Bionicle commercials. Brings back lots of memories.
