Figured I would some pictures of my castle factions. I'll keep adding to this topic over time. Feel free so ask about any of the figures or lore stuff. First up is the kingdom of Halloran. The bulk of Halloran consists out of crown knights but they also include: green dragon knights, forest men, a lion knight (2013) and the warhorse knight (Knights Kingdom II). The Queen, King Consort and Queen's Guard. The warhorse knight and the knights of the Kestrallin Marches. Men-at-arms and crossbowmen. Spearmen. The green dragon knight and his retinue. The citizenry. The forest folk. Thanks for checking out my post, more to follow soon :)

I quite like how this one turned out. It ought to be more of six stud wide design, but I scraped this together within an hour or so. The hatch on top also looks a little bulky. The title says AI pod, but it could just be the Mammal Pod for MGSV related stuff. Thanks for checking out my post :)

I might not have a lego Metal Gear, but I do have bad guy to face. The figure is pretty simple but makes good use of a Darth Vader head. I also included the English strain of the vocal cord parasites. "You too have known loss. And that loss torments you still. You hope hatred... might someday replace the pain. But it never goes away. It makes a man hideous inside and out. Wouldn't you agree?" We both are demons. Our humanity won't return. You. Me. We've no place to run, nowhere to hide. And that is why I will show you my demon. Follow me, Big Boss!" "...Sans lingua franca, the world will be torn asunder. And then, it shall be free..." The Jeep build is heavily based on the Skull Face Speech Moc by Renk, you can chech it out here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-170743/Renk/mgsv-skull-faces-speech/#parts I actually built it without Renk's instructions. I studied the images from Rebrickable and used the instructions from the 40650 Land Rover Classic Defender (great set btw). Thanks for checking out my post and be sure to check out Renk's stuff :)

Snake was a bit lonely so I made him some buddies. Had a bit of an Eureka moment when it came to making Quiet, it turns out the 2018 Black Widow has most of the parts needed. Ocelot required a bit more trail and error, In the end I settled in jacketed appreance from the start of the game. Taking aim. She's got your back. You know I had to include the revolver spinning. Thanks for checking out my post :)

[Discussion] Ninjago Core Banners
King_of_Lomadia replied to King_of_Lomadia's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Back again with a different approach. I tried to depict each season of Ninjago this time. I couldn't find a good combination to make Skybound, Prime Empire or The Island. Pilot Episodes Rise of the Snakes Legacy of the Green Ninja Rebooted Tournament of Elements Possession The Hands of Time Sons of Garmadon Hunted March of the Oni Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu: Fire Chapter Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu: Ice Chapter Master of the Mountain Seabound Crystalized Dragons Rising: Season 1 Dragons Rising: Season 2 Dragons Rising: Season 3 Would love to hear your thoughts on these :) -
[Purist Custom Figures] Friends Minidolls to Minifigures
King_of_Lomadia posted a topic in LEGO Town
I've been getting a bit more into Lego Friends recently and I wanted to incorperate the characters into my other stuff. To that end I turned the main cast of Lego Friends The Next Chapter into minifigures. I struggled a bit with Olly's outfit, but I think this jean jacket does the job. Paisley is my favourite and this t-shirt and coat combo was just perfect. Don't worry I got her guitar too. For Autumn I knew I wanted to include her prosthesis. To go with that I recreated the wall climbing outfit. This face for Aliya was just right. I'm quite happy with this outfit too. Zac came out really well, the facial expression is spot on. Adding red arms to the hoodie worked out great. I feel like Leo's oufit could be better, but this jacket gives a sporty look. Liann's dungarees might not be coral coloured like in the show but I love them all the same. I'll be honest, Nova's outfit doesn't match at all. I just thought she needed a cool jacket. Here's another groupshot showing off some alternate faces. Who's your favourite character? Thanks for checking out my post :) -
This project was a fun one. Originally I had planned to turn Zane's EVO mech into a Samurai X mech, unfortunately the EVO limb part have yet to be recoloured into dark blue. In the end I took inspiration and parts from the EVO mech, Jay's mech from the battle pack and Zane's mech suit. The mech has all the recognizable parts: the sawblade, arm cannon, jetpack and the folding cockpit. It might not have knees, but I did give it waist rotation. The mech can also strike a good pose. Thanks for checking out my post :)

Kept you waiting, huh? I'm back at it again with my Metal Gear hijinks, this time I made the Skulls. As much as I would have like to make the armour and camouflage unit versions, they're a bit difficult to make in Lego. For the mist unit I just needed a decent uniform and a head with passable ''glowing'' eyes, I didn't find a way to give them their headsets unfortunately. In the end I was pleasantly surprised by the 2018 Citauri figures from Avengers Endgame, their torso's had the right look with good muscular details. Gorr the God Butcher from the Thor: love and Thunder sets was the best head I could find. Blue eyes would be more accurate but I shan't loose any sleep over it. The last things to add were rebreathers, assault rifles and machetes. In the end I thought they were pretty good. Here are some more action shots based on mission 6 "Where Do the Bees Sleep?" Thanks for checking out my post :)

For the Golden Master I started with the legacy II version of the Overlord but I was left unsatisfied with the shoulder armour. In the end I settled on spending an embarrassing amount in order to get the original armour from the 2014 Golden Master. For the head I though the Crystal King's would work best. In minifigure form I gave him plain black legs, for the mech form I swap them for the purple and black ghost legs. The Mech itself was quite litterally scraped together, I didn't order any additional pieces to build it. It's not as good as it could be but I thought it was worth keeping in my collection. I used the weapon pack pieces in gold to get the detailing on the legs and made sure to include at least on layer of the golden ribcage. All this spikeyness goes nicely with the armour on the figure. The mech also has good mobility due to the hinges, ratchet joints and pin connections. The more elongated shaping in the back help the mech appear more spiderlike. To truly unleash the Golden Master on Ninjago City you need some of that golden power to capture heroes and weave webs around the city. The golden webs from one of the Spider-man No Way Home sets can do just that. (Ignore the inaccurate young Garmadon). Enjoy this bonus picture capturing some of the transparent red highlights making a spooky face. Thanks for checking out my post :)

[MOC] The Last Spinjitzu Master
King_of_Lomadia replied to King_of_Lomadia's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for checking it out anyway. Love your username. -
With the First Spinjitzu Master (FSM) being a thing, it got me thinking: who or what would the Last Spinjitzu Master (LSM) be like? Continuing with the theme of inversion or opposition I knew the LSM had to exist after time had name, or if you prefer long after time has lost it's name. Finally, with the balance between the light and the dark, I thought it interesting the explore the Idea of the LSM being a incarnation of the Overlord. In a time without heroes only the Overlord could bear the burden of maintaining the balance. With the Golden Master being my favourite incarnation of the Overlord the colourscheme of black and gold was already set. Mirroring our mostly ninja styled heroes I opted for the samurai aesthetic. To counter the FSM's Dragon Master Armour I made the LSM the Oni Armour, here I couldn't resist using the classic samurai armour. Once unmasked you will find the second legacy Overlord head, just for that hint of purple. For the torso I went with an Outrider torso from Infinity War swapping the black arms for gold. Thanks for checking out my post :)

[Discussion] Ninjago Core Banners
King_of_Lomadia posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I haven't seen many people talking about the core banners so I figured I'd post this to get the ball rolling. If you line up all the core banners you could make a grand tapestry of some kind. The above example just one version of it. I just felt like hearing other people's thoughts on this. How would you line them up? what other combinations would you make? Should it include the 2x6 stickered banner from Zane's Ice Dragon Creature? -
I made some modifications to the official Iron Doom model. I cleaned up de control seats and the back, made some alterations to the arms and tails, and redid the head. The cockpit still has two control seats with the original stickered slopes and I just had to add the snake levers. There is space for a third figure to stand in back, though the option to stage a fight is somewhat limited. As far as the neck and head go, I replaced all the technic structure in favour of ball joints. With the joints the head can bend upwards for when it ascends into the time vortex. The head also has the eye cannon thing, but it no longer actually shoots. It also has to be extended manually. The swinging tail joint has been replaced with two fingered hinges. This allows it to bend upwards for storage on a narrow shelf or downwards for entry into the time vortex. The Arms have been bulked up with the stickered slopes from the vermillion racer. I've also added wrist joints. I filled in the gaping hole on the back while incorperating some more organic shaping. The mechanism for spinning the time vortex is preserved and can be spun without opening the covers. The Swam Fort scaffold isn't anything too special, Most of the parts came from the original set. I added more ladders and large scaffold panels. It still connects to the other sections of the fort. I still had soms scraps left over to make this workbench for Cyrus Borg. Thanks for checking out my post :)

I modified my TIE fighter into a TIE brute without going for full accuracy. I mostly freestyled this one, but used a miniture for the occasional reference. The underside of the weapons pod also has two spots for flick fire missiles. Enjoy the bonus purist custom Yrica Quell from the Alphabet Squadron trilogy. I made sure to offset the engine on the left side. The reference miniture I used. It's the TIE/rb from the X-wing miniatures game. Thanks for checking out my post :)

That's a really good custom Solid Snake. This moc really captures the vibe of the dock area.

Kept you waiting, huh? So I finally got the platinum trophy for the game and decided to tinker around to see If I could make D-Walker, one of the buddies from the game. I also ended up making a purist custom Venom Snake, I'll attach those pictures at the end. I settled on a modular design the included: the base chasis, the task arm, the sub-weapons, the armoured plate for the standard walker gears, the scouting head, the support head, the intercept head, the missile launcher and the minigun. I am quite happy with the scale of it compared to a minifigure. to attach a figure you just stick the legs onto a bracket, I had thought to include some handlebars but sacrifices them in favour of a control panel. The arms for the sub weapon can also fold in and allow the head to rotate. Here's a comparison for the various heads. The support head. The scouting head. The intercept head. The standard walker gear just comes with one of the main weapons and the armoured plate instead of a head. It makes for a nice imperial walker too if you add some stormtroopers. Here are the last reference photo's for the walker gears. And finally, the last pictures of Snake. Here are all of bionic arms as well. (Equiped with the standard bionic arm. L. to R.: stun arm, hand of Jehuty, rocket arm, blast arm, silver arm, gold arm.) Here they are in-game. Thanks for checking out yet another of my long posts :)

I've really been enjoying the €10 mech sets too. I'd also love to get more small sets like 70621 The Vermillion Attack or 70671 Lloyd's Journey that offer a nice slice of the season and are compatible with lager sets.
