May be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's just the rubber rope piece that's been used a few times recently for string lights and such (It's what the lanterns are fixed to in the new Lunar New Year restaurant set)

Definitely agree that Marvel's on a winning streak with these £30-ish sets. The Sandman set is great, first time I've wholeheartedly liked this new type of constraction figure. Good for display by itself and looks fun enough for play, but where it really shines is combining it with the final battle set from last year - it adds a LOT of mass and dynamic flavour to that model. Great way to add value to an older set without charging for a full remake.

It's a very good looking little ship, and I appreciate the number of shooters built into it - some recent Marvel sets really struggle with having even the most basic levels of playability. Pretty substantial build, and Ronan makes this set more desirable for me as someone who missed out on him in the GotG1 wave.

Image of the whole Warbird ship leaked, looks like a nice build. Not that much to say on it, though - it's another pretty solid Milano-ish ship

Some more of the LEGO x Fortnite collab skins leaked, and there are some cool designs for characters like Rogue, Gambit, Psylocke, X-23, etc. I doubt we see them in sets (ones that are already getting figs like Rogue have different designs) but it's cool to see LEGO versions of these characters.

Rocket, if a little ghoulish in the face department, overall looks fine enough. Wish he didn't have that Baby Groot figure, though. Out of scale with regular figs, out of scale with even the set itself, and wastes 2 prints out of this theme's already clearly limited figure budget. Maybe without that thing we could get, I dunno, leg print on Cyclops?

Based on the set names we have, I doubt he's in the January wave - unless it's a weird exclusive set for somewhere, I guess?

Thinking about it, it's funny to get two versions of Zola so close to one another. First in the Avengers Tower, now in this 4+ set. Also, this marks our fifth weird Electro variant (TASM2, Ultimate, Duplo, NWH, Amazing Friends) before we finally get a classic suit... has to be an in-joke at this point, surely. I do really like these sets, though. The figures all look pretty good (not sure on the bat arms to represent web-wings, but eh.) the gold looks great, especially for Miles, the Electro figure looks good for what it is and Iron Man is nice. Not a fan of Zola because he's a little far removed from previous adaptations, but he's a cool figure I suppose. Excited to see the January sets, I believe later today. My big cope is that I'm still praying the Blackbird's price was listed incorrectly in leaks. If the Sandman build is good, the NWH set might be something I pick up at launch too, but I'm a little wary now that TandN has said he's using the constraction figure faceplate. The other sets don't appeal hugely to me, but if Rocket's Warbird is a good model I guess I'll pick it up, the Guardians of the Galaxy ship design is generally nice and it'll be good to get Ronan.

My best guess is that, as the show really is for like, toddlers, maybe 'Arachnid' is harder for them to say than 'Spin' - the other heroes' names are relatively easier for kids to say, phonetically.

To be fair, they’ve also branded keychains of Multiverse of Madness Wanda and the last mech Iron Man, and the weird new 4+ Hulkbuster under Infinity Saga, so it may not always be actually from Infinity Saga movies

All we know is that there are two Iron Man armours - but given there are a lot of characters who’ve never even been in the tower, I don’t think we can count out the possibility of *any* suit showing up.

I feel like the role social media has to play in this is way understated - like 75% of the people who usually beg for ‘comic accuracy’ don’t read comics at all, they just see a couple panels online. In that vein, a lot of people know who Kang is despite not necessarily seeing him in a movie. Plus, Majors’ situation is being relatively heavily discussed online. And that’s not to mention Kang’s presence in some animated shows, and that kind of thing. He was in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes - even the second LEGO Marvel game. If by ‘general audience’ you mean like very young children and their parents, I guess you’re right, but I think anyone 13+ with any investment in Marvel probably knows a bit about him.

Honestly really satisfied with this lineup - would prefer a different X-Man to another Wolverine, but I get he’s probably the most recognisable character of the bunch and could help market it to kids. Actually slightly prefer Goliath to Kang being included, just because I’m sure we’ll get Kang eventually (provided he isn’t dropped from the MCU altogether) while I doubt we would’ve gotten Goliath otherwise. More characters is always a win! Should’ve been an 18 fig series, though. Still feels like a bunch of Disney+ characters have been snubbed.

Yup, exactly - many things were correct, but some others weren’t. It may have been that some figures weren’t yet done? Who knows. If memory serves, in the original leaked details, it said Wolverine had ‘lavender pieces’ or something along those lines, which we now know to be Sentinel parts - but without mentioning their inclusion with the other X-Men. It seems like whatever leakers are seeing is incomplete.

What If season 2 has an episode featuring Goliath - merchandise of him is releasing at the moment, a Marvel Legends is out iirc. I guess we will see, but I have it on what I believe to be pretty solid authority.

From what I’ve heard, the leaked fig details from before are based on preliminary images, not the finale product. There are more changes to the cmf, most notably Kang being replaced by Goliath.

I’d say since it’s primarily based on Age of Ultron, it’s most likely we see reuses of the Cap and Widow from the recent bike set
