  1. On Brick Clicker's video, he gives a little more information, but only that there's 'two unknown minifigures'. My bets would be Thor and one of the little fire demon guys
  2. It's strange how confidently rumoured the Ultron centric stuff was at first. Maybe they're developing the Ultron sentry pack and the final battle as well? If the battle packs and big diorama battle sets become a staple of the theme those would be easy picks for next year. No source on this, but my working theory is that they're building up to it, and letting figs just bleed into different sets. If you think about it in terms of the most recent AoU-ish sets, you have Cap, Widow and a Hydra agent from that film. Hydra agent being in recent production makes the focus on the opening make some sense, that way all they had to do was fill out the rest of the Avengers. Next year, all these figs will be in current production, and other figs will have moved out of production, so I can easily see Ultron, Quicksilver, Wanda, etc. being made as new figures for more AoU sets down the line. Just feels weird to me that they'd go through the trouble of making (presumably) new versions of everyone for just these few sets when they could've easily just included less figures.
  3. I remember a few leak accounts responding to comments asking what movie that set was based on, saying it's Avengers 1, but it looks like a few posts detailing the Summer wave have been taken down, weirdly.
  4. The $60 Avengers Battle is just based on Avengers 1, unfortunately. Pretty much just repeats from the Tower.
  5. It's honestly getting to be a little hilarious how often LEGO is missing the mark with this stuff now. Usually with set types that I'm just not personally into, I'll go 'I'm sure kids love it!' but with these buildable figures, that's just not the case as far as I can tell. Whenever I go to a store with a LEGO section those are the sets sitting on shelves, untouched. My little siblings couldn't care less for them either, they much prefer minifigure based sets with things the characters can interact with. Even assuming there are kids who just love these, they're AWFUL value for the parents. At nearly 40 bucks each for these NWH ones, it'd take around 80 dollars to just have two characters to fight. Had they just made the same scene as a regular set, it would've likely been those two characters, plus Doc Ock, plus an environment for kids to play in. I cannot understand this buildable figure obsession.
  6. I'm really curious as to what LEGO will end up doing for the F4 in 2025. I'm hoping there's a bit of a push for them across merchandising, so more of an Eternals wave than a Quantumania one in terms of quantity. Though, I could see a similar situation to Multiverse of Madness? One standard playset then the Baxter Building as the modular for that year? It's hard to come up with set ideas when we know so little, but assuming Galactus is in the movie, it'd be so cool to see him in the style of the Up-Scaled Minifigure set. Maybe a Fantasticar if that appears? I could also see a big buildable 18+ HERBIE, I feel like he's gonna end up being a popular character for merch. I just hope that the F4 aren't relegated to a single set that has the team and nobody else. Recent MCU movies have had a pretty rough track record in terms of LEGO representation lately.
  7. This is awesome, I might have to do some similar things to mine.
  8. Unless LEGO learned from all the Avengers Tower leaks that they should reveal their sets sooner (that one was only a week or so before release, right?) it'll be a long time. Could definitely still be leaks, though. I believe London Toy Fair is happening right now, and while it may be too early to be showing Fall products, LEGO does exhibit at quite a few events like that. New York Toy Fair is in March, though, so little bit closer to a November release, and there's likely gonna be LAN days closer to the time. Security will probably be tighter, though, given all the Avengers Tower leaks, so I wouldn't count on much before an official reveal.
  9. TandN reposted a post about 76287: Iron Legion Vs Ultron Bots, saying: 'As Kevin Fiege once said "we might have to change the title on this one" 'These things can change so we will have to wait and see' And then 'Don't worry the Iron Legion is still coming. That I can 100 percent confirm.' Wonder what the change is?
  10. Yeah, you're probably right - as much as the collector in me wishes they keep pumping out new figures entirely, when I think about it I really don't mind a lot of repeats - giving new builders the chance to get (I'm assuming) all of the core Avengers and Guardians in just 2024 sets is awesome.
  11. I was chatting to TandN about how I wish the fig lists would drop so I know which rarer older characters I should bother tracking down, they seemed to imply no Yondu in the Milano. Fourstud did a great little Groot build for GotG1 a while back over on Instagram, I'd like to see LEGO try something like that instead of another slightly off Groot minifigure... I wonder if we could see Star-Lord's helmet just printed on as an alternate face, like the Mighty Micros figure did. It'd be worse than the helmet mold, but probably good enough to get the point across. Then just that printed head could be reused like Iron Man's HUD face is. I would love to see a new exclusive character, even if I somwhat doubt it. Ego, Kraglin, Corpsman Dey and Korath are all good picks if they do.
  12. For a big X-Men display, a larger Sentinel feels the obvious call to me. X-Men fans would want both it and the Mansion, too.
  13. TandN says that the Batpod set that comes with a Batman buildable figure is "like the Green Goblin with glider set that's coming", so I guess that puts to rest questions of if the glider was included
  14. I think if we see a Deadpool figure this year, it'll be his TAS design thrown into the X-Mansion, although I doubt even this because he's probably not going to appear in '97. Still, neither will Xavier, it seems.
  15. I actually built basically exactly this, with my friend Buzz doing the figs! Not a black base, but I think we started this before that was even a thing :)
  16. I feel like if the Surtur set has a figure besides Thor and a fire demon, it'll be Valkyrie in her Endgame battle suit. I'm not sure a set so (relatively) inexpensive based on such a popular film really needs to sell itself with a Hela fig, especially with a new helmet mold being basically necessary (unless they'd just do her without it?) If we get another Hela I think it'd be in a larger Asgard set - LEGO has to know people would buy that
  17. Here's every character I think might be in the running for the X-Mansion: Based on merch, promo art and the initial reveal: •Bishop •Jean Gray •Jubilee •Gambit •Morph •Sunspot •Nightcrawler •Cable •Forge •Mr. Sinister •The Hellfire Club Based on overall prominence and popularity: •Deadpool (this set should launch real close to his movie, so it'd make sense to do a loose tie-in) •Collosus (same logic here) •Mystique (features heavily in the films) •Sabertooth (arguably a more exciting and 'playable' villain than any of the Hellfire Club) •Professor X (I don't think he's actually in '97, but you kind of can't have the X-Mansion without him) •Iceman (good excuse to finish up the Amazing Friends) I'm sure they'll reuse quite a few figs, but I think at least one will remain exclusive to both the CMF and X-Jet. Maybe a lab coat variant of the Beast from the CMF, Cyclops and Wolverine from the X-Jet, keeping Rogue, Storm and weirdo magenta Magento exclusive? It'd be good to see an update to his classic red suit in the mansion.
  18. I'd also say that Joe Public probably isn't the target market for a $300 LEGO X-Men set... X-Men fans are. And I'm not sure Mystique really is "majorly popular"? Sure, she was IN those movies a lot, but when people praise them they're generally talking about either of the Magneto and Xavier actors, or Jackman's Wolverine. Hell, I've seen the Beast portrayals discussed more. My experience very well could be the outlier here but I've just never seen anyone care that much about Mystique in the films. If the character selection was based on public popularity using the films as a crutch, I'd say we'd be more likely to see, say, Cable or Colossus before Mystique, especially considering how close this set is gonna launch to Deadpool 3
  19. I'd point out that the preliminary image's figure selection seems to be largely inspired by the Fox movies - assuming the set is being retooled to be based more on X-Men '97 (which I think is safe to say they'll do for sure, given that all of the figures that they already have to bleed into the X-Mansion are from X-Men '97 sets, or the CMF figs) I think the character selection would naturally be changed to fit that show more. Also worth noting that the preliminary image we saw was INCREDIBLY early development, more so than maybe any of the others from that survey leak. The Zelda Deku Tree had new prints and molds ready to go in its image, but the X-Mansion didn't even have a complete build, it was clearly just a facade. I wouldn't expect that many new figures, but I would expect them to be pretty much entirely different from the survey leak. Repeating Beast, Storm, Wolverine, Magneto and Cyclops feels a bit much, and that'd leave the only new characters being ones without that much relevance to the show.
  20. I don't think the Avengers 1 set is a final battle in the way the AoU one is, just a play focused model to get more Avengers stuff on shelves
  21. Excellent wave, if these look as good as they sound it could be the best in a long time
  22. Marvel battle packs would be brilliant if they become a mainstay. Y'all have already said, but the options are kinda endless. Chitauri, Ultron drones, AIM, Hydra, Outriders, sorcerers... I really hope LEGO sees the potential too. I also hope the description of the Iron Legion battle pack means it's actually similar to a Star Wars battle pack in content and pricing, not just like two of them in a cheap set. That'd be cool and all, but the idea of getting four at a time is cooler.
  23. My AoU wave prediction was right! Woo! I'll bet the $15 set is the Iron Legion, and we see the Ultron Sentries in some sort of final battle set thing
  24. This'd make sense to me. Pretty sure about the Milano at 170, and the 110 set being an AoU black base final battle would be in line with the others they've made. Not sure on a Deadpool mech, have we ever gotten a single mech this far into The year? If anything, I'd see Deadpool being slapped into the X-Mansion. A mask build would totally make sense, though! If they make a Sentinel but it's 4+, I think I might actually lose my mind, but it makes sense that LEGO won't do X-Men without some catch 😭
  25. Since other themes' summer waves are starting to get more descriptive info, here's some predictions for Marvel - would be cool to hear what y'all think we get too! I think we'll see an Age of Ultron wave, reusing Cap and Widow from the bike set, reusing Vision but with solid legs, and giving us a new Ultimate Ultron figure. TandN Bricks seemed to tease the Iron Legion in their start of 2024 post too, so they seem likely. Those guys are generally spot on. Another Guardians set makes sense, we don't currently have a main ship of theirs on shelves. Probably about time we get another Milano - bring back Star-Lord's helmet, maybe give newer collectors another chance at Yondu or shirtless Drax? Ego would be cool to see too. Another X-Men set would be great before the Mansion, a Sentinel feels like the most obvious choice to me. It could honestly work in the style of those $35 buildable figures they love so much haha Probably some more generic Spidey stuff too. Maybe we see a vague Sony tie-in by shoving Julia Carpenter or Madame Web or whoever in one of those, like they did with the Morbius car shortly after that film released.
