  1. This is a very heartwarming story. Thank you for sharing.
  2. I gave up any hope of another Penguin sub after our third duck boat. Crazy that the original Batman line got two (only vehicle that actually got repeated btw), but we couldn’t get one in 12 years when half of the sets are repeats of other Bat-vehicles.
  3. I’ll post it over in the DC thread, where those types of conversations belong. 😝
  4. *long-winded, anti-American rant removed by moderator*
  5. Words ain’t nothing, and yet you use words. Curious.
  6. All Lego (and WB) sees is that there’s no Batman.
  7. And some people have the audacity to claim Nolan’s Batman wasn’t a faithful adaptation. 🙄
  8. People don’t hate the Schumacher movies because he didn’t understand Batman. They hate the Schumacher films because he understands Batman far too much.
  9. The mech should be able to transform from an ordinary mech into a modular building styled Hall of Armour. Or, in English, the Armour of Halls (of Armour) is also a modular house mech of modules housing mechs.
  10. To introduce a third design for the armory so the last two will become obsolete and you’ll have to buy multiple sets to redo your existing armory.
  11. You can make similar arguments for the Daily Planet. “DCU reboot was met with large excitement from fans.” “Superman is still a popular character.” “There’s huge public excitement for Superman back on the big screen.” “James Gunn has made some very successful superhero movies with C-listers, yet alone Superman.” Etc. End of the day, nobody who knows what next year’s modular will be (if we even get one) is giving us anything substantial to go on. It’s fun to speculate what it could be, but saying The Daily Planet or The Baxter Building won’t happen because they’re based on unproven properties is ridiculous after what happened with the X-Mansion.
  12. Joker? Don’t you mean the WOKER?! Think about it. Always wears lipstick and eyeshadow despite being a man, which is gender non-conforming. Has professed his love for Batman, which is gay. But also was in a relationship with Harley, so maybe bi? Self identifies as an anarchist-socialist. Served as the Iranian Ambassador to the U.N., which makes him a globalist and likely a Muslim. Joker is the most woke character in comics!
  13. A lot of people made the same argument for the X-Mansion. There was no way Marvel was gonna make a large modular for X-Men until after they had a movie in the MCU, and yet, here we are. No MCU X-Men film on the horizon, but the mansion set to release in under 3 months. I’m not saying Lego will take the risk (at least, as much risk as there is associated with releasing a set for one of the most well known superheroes ever and one of the most anticipated films of next year), but I wouldn’t rule it out.
  14. There’s only one way to exorcise a Turtle! In Brighest Day, in Blackest Night No evil shall escape my sight Let those who worship evil’s might Beware my power, Green Lantern’s light
  15. No Wolverized Venomarine?! It’s like Lego doesn’t even care about their fans anymore. 😔
  16. Just to add to this, very few movies get sets long after their release. So far, the list is: Batman ‘66, Batman ‘89, Batman Returns, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnorak, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Which, granted, looks like a large list. But when you take into account the number of superhero films out there, it’s a pretty small number. (Also, Iron-Man 2 was a very loose tie-in and No Way Home only happened because Marvel wanted to avoid spoilers). edit: I’m not including Civil War because that set hasn’t dropped yet.
  17. I’m guessing either Apocalypse or Juggernaut. Those are the other big X-Men villains that weren’t mentioned.
  18. I only said they were comic based. Not that they were good adaptations. 😁 This is the one. Also, it’s technically not the video game design. Video game doesn’t have the goggles, has sleeves, and the hair is different. The figure is pretty clearly based on the comics.
  19. We’re getting comic based Iron Man, Ultron, Hulk, Red Hulk, and Black Panther next year alone. We’ve had comic based version of all six of the OG movie Avengers with the exception of Black Widow. We’ve gotten most of the major Spider-Man characters in comic based minifigure form. All the X-Men have been comic based or based on X-Men ‘97 which is basically just a comic version. Every Red Skill figure had been comic based. We’ve gotten Miss Marvel, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Punisher, Modok, Task Master, Thanos, Detroit Steel, Goliath, Dr Doom, and even Rocket Racoon. Now, don’t get me wrong. There’s a ferry full of characters I’d love to see get comic accurate minifigures. But it’s not like we haven’t gotten any.
  20. I know the X-Mansion images were taken with a potato, but just how certain are we that it’s a final image and not another preliminary picture? Wolverine appears to have plain blue legs. Rogue looks to have a plain white head and legs that really don’t match the X-Jet. Iceman looks like a plain white minifigure with black hips. Now, again, that could just be the quality of the images, but it could also be because the picture isn’t the finalized product.
  21. We’re talking about Electro here. It’s not a question of ‘is he stupid’ but of ‘just how stupid is he.’
  22. Hear me out on this. A giant parking garage so we finally have a place to put the Hulk Monster Truck, the Spider-Man and Black Panther cars, the Auto-Morbile, etc. The owner of this establishment? Big Wheel. edit: Electro will be terrorizing the establishment once he discovers they do not have a charging station for his EV.
  23. They appear to be selling well, so I’d be surprised if Lego gave up on a sure thing. But it wouldn’t be the first time. Fair point. Assuming we get modular every year, here would be my bets. 2025: Daily Planet 1) Superman is still iconic and people want a Daily Planet 2) Superman (2025) releasing makes it the perfect time to capitalize on Superman merchandise 3) Superman Legacy has a large cast of named characters, unlike Fantastic Four which doesn’t 4) Superman has a better track record than Fantastic Four (the bar is in hell), and is the safer bet. 5) The Daily Bugle will be retiring and The Daily Planet can both take its place and is distinct enough not to cannibalize its sale IMO. 2026: Arkham Asylum Batman is gonna sell. Releasing a modular alongside his next movie is a no brainer. Arkham makes the most sense for a Batman modular. 2027: Baxter Building We know the Fantastic Four are gonna be in both Avengers films, I assume their building will be too. Their film doesn’t have a large enough cast to support a large modular, but once you start throwing in all the Avengers characters, you can end up with plenty of options. Secret Wars is probably gonna be the bigger of the two Avengers films, so it makes sense to release it alongside that.
  24. What about two modulars next year: The Daily Planet and The Baxter Building.
