Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
psqidexslizer replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Official images should be released sometime next month, 15th at the latest. Unofficial images have already leaked, but the quality has been so bad that you can’t make out much of anything. Better quality leaks could drop anytime within the next month, but they probably won’t show us what rooms are inside the mansion. -

Sure, the globe design for Cerebro wasn’t a thing until the movies. But that design stuck. And it’s indisputably one of the most iconic rooms in the Mansion. Would including it be accurate to the show? No. But the designers have already taken liberties with the figure lineup. I’m not saying they’ll do it again, only that I don’t think we can rule it out just yet. -

Iceman isn’t in the show either, so I think it’s fair to assume they might deviate from the show in other ways. If we’re talking about rooms that could hypothetically be included, Cerebro belongs on that list. It’s arguably the second most ironic room in the Mansion (right behind the Danger room), if not the first. -

At the very least, we need that picture of Scott and Jean that Wolverine is so fond of. -

That’s a fair point. The X-Mansion doesn’t have the intricate architecture that the Museum does. Which means they don’t need as many small pieces. And just to add to that, the museum has a bunch of display pieces like the dinosaur and solar system etc that use a bunch of small pieces. I don’t know what rooms will be in the Mansion, but the five main contenders (IMO) are the Danger Room, the War Room, Cerebro, Xavier’s Office, and Beast’s lab/medical room. The Danger Room is a big empty room that needs like a blaster and a chainsaw on a mechanical arm. The War Room needs a table, chairs, and a monitor. Xavier’s office needs a desk, chair, picture, and bookcase. Beast’s Lab needs an examination table and a microscope. And Cerebro needs a stand. We’re talking about mostly big, empty rooms. -

I’m guessing the X-Mansion includes more large pieces than the History Museum. Keep in mind, the Mansion is going to be $30 more than the Museum despite having 1000 less pieces. Part of that will be licensing and additional and exclusive minifigures of course. But when we see sets of similar price with differing piece counts, usually the one with the lower piece count has larger pieces. Granted, there are exceptions, and I’m sure everyone here can point out Lego Marvel sets where the price per piece ratio is unjustified. But I can hope. -

Isn’t the ‘66 Batmobile a D2C? -

Per exabricks, the X-Mansion will be officially revealed in one month. Not sure how true this is. Usually sets are revealed a month beforehand (66 Batmobile, for example) but a lot is sets have been revealed later and later (Jabba’s barge comes out October 3rd and is just being revealed). -

Kishalego has more images of Jean and Cyclops (albeit, with parts swapped out) over on their insta. -

Whether or not the Mansion is ‘97 inspired is a moot point since Magneto wore that ‘97 costume in both the comics and the show. And, if it helps, we can always just say Iceman is really Morph. 😝 -

We’ll probably see some of them thrown into sets down the line. The same thing happened with Avengers Tower. Hulk and Black Widow were both reused. Falcon and Wasp will both be reused in the upcoming Endgame Final Battle. So, out of the 10 exclusive characters (I’m not counting ones made using all preexisting parts like Pierce and Selvig), only 6 are still exclusive. But still, that was only 10/30 to begin with, or 1/3 and not 5/10 (1/2) to maybe 3/5 exclusive as is the case with the X-Mansion. -

5/10 minifgures (Jean, Gambit, Bishop, Iceman, and Xavier) are all new with at least one of the other 4 confirmed to be getting new printed legs (Cyclops) and another will probably get a different hairstyle and thus be “new” (Storm). I really doubt we’d be lucky enough to have 8/10 minifigures be exclusive new variants (especially with 7/10 getting new prints). I agree that classic Magneto would be great, and is long overdue for an update from his 2012 version. But I think odds are it’s gonna be the X-Jet version with at best an actually appropriate hairstyle and at worst a plastic cape. -

Ah, wasn’t aware he confirmed it. Glad we finally have our final line-up (seemingly) confirmed. Obviously I wish there was about 30 more characters included 😁, but the line-up sounds fantastic. Hopefully we get some more sets (or another CMF) next year to round out the missing members (Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Forge, Cable, Morph, and Sunspot) as well as some villains (Lego seems to have taken inspiration from Fox and decided to have them fight Magneto all the time). -

Not sure where you’re getting this from, but the only source I can find for this is a guy on Reddit who says he can see Magneto in the leaked images from a while back. So, unless you have something a bit more reliable to go off of, I would take this with a hearty dose of salt. -

There are a number of issues I have with the Cyclops figure. The color blue they chose is one of them, but it’s also not high on that list. -

So glad they included a group shot with the other X-Men. The team is finally coming together. 🥰 She does look a bit pale, but IMO it’s only really noticeable compared to Rogue or Magneto. Next to Wolverine and Cyclops, it’s hardly noticeable. It does make me worried about Gambit though since his face will need to be printed on an even darker head. -

Just looking at the rumored figure lists (both of them, because there are technically two floating around) I doubt it. None of the new characters need a new molded piece. Unless we got REALLY lucky and Lego gave Rogue a new hairpiece so that it doesn’t look like her and Gambit had their own private Danger Room session. -
