  1. "A thespian. Hmm." "Good. Another name off the list That leaves just the hunter, and Jinnipher..." "..." Sandman goes silent at the mention of Jinnipher, seemingly wanting to say something...
  2. "A cow to the - wait, you're emaning to tell me that you sent an animal into outer space? I'm more impressed than anything else, although you may want to consider de-animating the cookware." Feeling my teacup shiver and almost whimper at the mention of the statement, I decide that perhaps that would be a bad idea. "Well, I'll be off - se you two again soon, hopefully." With that, I set off for the hall.
  3. "I can try shortly, Arthur. I haven't tried it yet, but from my understanding, it's not hard at all. Hey, Noel - it's been going pretty well. I'm a necromancer now, so if you need a dead thing to be less dead, you know who to ask. How have you been?"
  4. "No. I mostly kill them. I do have tranquilizer rounds, however - but whatever sleep-induced visions they have after that are beyond my control." "...I see. Sheep royalty. And yes, first impressions are important, but..." Faust stops as he sees Karie burst out laughing, the king taking to impatiently tapping his cane on the cobblestones. "I'm afraid that I do not understand getting sidetracked, Mrs. Cour, but i will say there are many human facets I don't understand."
  5. And yet, still doesn't know when he's made the wrong remark to the wrong person(s).
  6. "Do not make this journey more difficult than it has to be. You are speaking to a leader of an entire country and man with a ranged weapon currently pointed at you. Consider your next words carefully. Or perhaps, don't say anything at all."
  7. The king looks at Lind with disdain. "Oh. You. I thought we blacklisted this delinquent, Sandman." "Assasins are very useful." "Yes. But this one put on a false accent, did perhaps the most racist interpration of my people I've ever seen, then had the gall to try to get payment before even picking up a blade!" "Was he drunk, sir?" "Immeasurably, I believe." "Then I will keep my sights on him, sir, to prevent another transgression." Sandman raises the barrel of his handcannon. The craftsmanship was impeccable, which usually meant one shot from the weapon would be enough to spell doom. "And I'm not referring to my eyes."
  8. I mean, I guess it's reasonable to know the monarch of a different country (his name was on the quest slip, and Moone is fairly close to Eubric) but you don't need to chalk it up to Munchkin knowledge.
  9. Not like Lind saw him previously or something?
  10. QM Note: You can RP without a new character avatar, Lind. Sandman whistles the next few bars. Perhaps he was more musically inclined than one would think? "I'm afraid that I do not specialize in bringing people dreams, Ms..." Sandman checks the sheet of names he was provided. "Alderflask-Cour." "Charmed. Though I hope you have other animals besides the sheep. I suspect the latter. Is no one in this city timely?"
  11. Making these battles is gonna be a balcning act, but I've pulled off similar stunts before. 86 was the same thing, almost, but the divide has only gotten wider. (Granted 86 wasn't that well balanced either, but I would like to think I've learned a thing or two since then. )
  12. "Before I go, Arthur... Not sure if you've noticed, but I've finally had the gall to go necromancer. I don't suppose you could thank your family for me? ...And will Noel be back soon? I'd atleast like to say hello."
  13. Againt an Endgame boss, no less... Eventually. (Three guesses to who the boss of this quest will be...)
  14. Many Moons Ago... The creature awakes in pain. He opens his eyes, and sees a foreboding sight... His hand, chained to a pillar. He whips his head around, and sees that his other hand, and indeed all of his limbs, were chained down. He struggles, the chains budging, but not breaking. The ground beneath him rumbles and quakes, the tremors filling the trapped beast with dread. The urgency sets in, and the creature struggles more. It tries to gnaw through its binds, but it was to no avail. It tries to stand up, but feels shooting pain through his back as he draws to full height - a sword was lodged in his back. With the catacombs sinking around him, death looming, a single syllable escapes from the dragon's mouth... "FAUST." Present Day... Five heroes exit the hall, the afternoon sun dangling above the group. As per the instructions of their regal client, they head towards the docks, the smell of brine and fish drifting through the air. Careful to avoid confrontation with some of Eubric's seedier citziens, they make their way through the bustling city, eventually finding their client: Faust, king of Moone. "You're here." says Sandman, checking to make sure his handcannon was loaded. "And not a second too soon. You're all here, yes?" The king casts a discerning glance towards the group of five, waiting for them to confirm they were there. Those five heroes were... The Party: Skrall (Waterbrickdown) 81 year old Male Ogre Hunter Flynn Flisperer, Lind Whisperer, The Grey Foxer (Lind Whisperer) 21-year-old elf Karie Alderflask-Cour, A True Hero (Kintobor) 24? Year Old Human Female Witch Warlen Melimane, Eulalia's Knight (The Chosen Minifigure) 23 year old male half-elf Mystic Knight Jinnipher Buchaire (JimBee) 76-year-old female Moon Elven Knight QM Note: Welcome to Fade To Black! As always, you folks have 24 hours to confirm. I'll post the hero stats when all of you do your shopping at the marketplace.
  15. "No one will argue against that. ...I'm glad to hear that. And yes, during my break from Heroica, I took it up. Reccomended as physical therapy for my bad arm." ---------------------------------------------------- The crowned figure walks into the hall, and with a quill, marks up the quest board list... Quest Thread coming soon!
  16. "I thought he was just in law enforcement, didn't realize he was a craftsman, too. You said he was on leave from the whole Syndicate thing, right? Because of the baby, or...? ...And yes, I do occasionally tee off. I have hobbies."
  17. I have dragons to sort out first, big ones.
  18. You've never seen tournament style shuffleboard, have you? (I've been wanting to host a tournament style quest for sometime, but I can never find a way to squeeze it in...)
  19. If golf doesn't exist in the Heroicaverse, I apologize, but I had to think of a nonlethal sport an old man like Sorrow mightplay.
  20. "I don't suppose he golfs?"
  21. He was then tripped, his dancing shoes getting scuffed and ruined, and he drops lifestealer. A boulder falls on it, bending it and making it dull. Oh, and he gets reverted back to a Rogue permanently due to a clerical issue in the Archives. The end.
  22. Flipz and I pretty much made the same joke, except Flipz let loose a barrage of them."
  23. "One large difference is that most dragons are born smarter than most people, I've noticed."
  24. "He must have his hands full... How long ago was the child born?"
  25. "Arthur, is that teapot... sentient?" I say, taking my cup. "Thank you for the tea regardless. I'm going out to Fellcrest tomorrow, if I'm not mistaken. Imagine it, a Necropolis. I can't honestly say I've met more than a few people of my "kin", so this will be interesting."
