  1. "Don't we all. Don't we all... Although no responsiblity is something of a stretch. Some say that it's the dragons that help guide the natural order of things. Not sure if I agree, but it's not too crazy. Their ancestry and their knowledge isn't an easy burden to bear."
  2. "Who told you of that incident...?"
  3. "Respectable creatures. Typically they have some other reason beyond primal urges and just general hostility for doing what they-" Just then, a dragon perches itself behind the elf I was speaking to. "Hello there, friend. I wonder where your dragoon is-" I notice a familiar face as I scan the hall. "I don't suppose you recognize me, Arthur?"
  4. "How to put this... grandfather is misnomer. It's missing a few "greats". She was, I believe, thirty... I'm, well. four hundred and twenty eight. Perhaps four hundred and twenty nine now, I lost track of how long ago Grogmas was..." Despite my face being obscured, I know there is an unmistakable aura of irritation and anger. "I'm not subhuman, you twit. I AM human." I can't recall the last time I was this caustic, but somehow what Lind was saying dug more deeply than being called a "monster" or "abomination"
  5. "Or perhaps the other way around. No one knows, except maybe the two lovebirds themselves. Hmph."
  6. "Yes, but then I'd only be slightly better than Uncle Flind. I share a vendetta against Ulric. He seduced my granddaughter with power -figuratively and literally. When the time comes to dispose of him, I will gladly gut him with this scythe. His songstress, though? I can't say I feel such a fervor. There are more powerful, more determined heroes than myself to take her on. Meanwhile... I've really only met a handful of dead. Going to the Necropolis would be a... pilgrimage, of sorts."
  7. Heroes don't really make enough references to the questboard, I find. He'd take city of rotten corpses over fighting an overgrown lizard any day, though.
  8. "There is no place for an undead in Fenario. My presence would cause far less discord elsewhere."
  9. I turn to look at the young elf seated next to me. All she sees is a shimmering blue veil covering my face... "I advise you don't. I hear the life insurance they offer is terrible, among many other things." I comment, my voice dripping with the fact that I knew a lot ore orrible things about the Wolfgang then that. "Can't say I am. I want to tango with the leader himself, but Baba... Other heroes can do it. I'm more interested in seeing the Necropolis, or perhaps the Elder Dragon..."
  10. Terry adjusts his aim to the hole where the magma is pouring out.
  11. I look at the questboard and the very large, very bold announcement now written on it. "You hit the nail on the head with the bastard child part, Lind. But I'm less inclined to believe anything you see with that asinine "disguise" on. I'm afraid if you want to pull off a rally cry as an elf, you'd first have to drop the butchered Charisan accent."
  12. "Are we quite sure that the ice won't simply get immediately melted by the magma on touch? I hear agma's pretty hot. One tocuh and you don't even burn, you just... e-vap-o-rate. I think that's what it's called. I was gonna suggest blocking off the hole it's flowing from, but hey, if this works..." Terry points the Opal Keystaff at the mass of magma and tries casting an ice spell from it.
  13. "Uhhh... Explain like I'm still in grammar school, please?"
  14. "You can... talk. Tak! In commons... Uhh, who taught you?"
  15. "Well, if it's just a juvenile, I can't imagine it'll be too much of a hassle. Let's take it on... After all, it's just it, right...?"
  16. Actually, I do have a drop that can make a hero rather sexy. Also, Sandy, if you can undo my stupidity.
  17. "I doubt wind would help much here, sorry fellas. ...And, and thanks for the insight on the whole heroin' thing."
  18. Terry pensively jingles the few gold coins he recieved, before pocketting them. "You know, guys, this... Isn't what I thought this whole heroin' business would be. A lot different from where I grew up, anyway. I thought we'd be helping some joe-shmoe find some crop thieves or something. A trek in nature, a damsel to be saved... But here we are, in a sandy maze, not knowing if death is a-lurkin' in the corner. ...I don't know which one I'd rathe rhave. Aristune, out of curioisty, is The Parlor underground? And yeah. East is good."

It picks up the luminous body of Lethauros, and flies back into the night. Unlock the glowing, meteoric form of Lethaurs, the nebulous shadow could not be seen through the night It flies northwards, and descends upon the island of Moone... ~~~ "So you will not bury him. The very same dragon who defended this land and its ancestors, and just barely escaped with his life when the demon outbreak began?" "He is of your ilk, coward! He has no place in our kingdom, and neither do you - you deserted us in our hour of need. You are not welcome here, and neither is your bother... Alive or dead." "So you still spread that lie, all to cling to the throne and crown in your old age. I give you one last change. Give my brother his proper burial. Now." "And I give you the same answer, Vorpalis, you fiend.... No!" "...I see. So you would rather the alternative. Very well then, King Faust. You don't stop at spitting on my legacy... You spit on my brother's. A dragon not even you have wrongfully accused until now. If you see it fit to warp the truth to fit to your liking, then I'm afraid your reign over Moone is over, Faust." A dark, towering shadow draws itself to full out and envelops the king in the darkness of its wings. He stares with cruel, glowing eyes, burning with a silent fury. "I give you a mere day to tell your people before the onslaught begins, Faust: I shall raze Moone to the ground, and reduce your precious kingdom to ruin!" With that the dragon exits. Faust watches in horro as the ancient conqueror soars away. A chill runs through Faust's spine as he realizes what he had just done. He had just unleashed the Ancestral Oppressor upon the people of Moone. The End?
  21. Maybe it was the guy with a Viper Bow in his inventory?
  22. QM Note: It still seems like Warlen is confirming a trade with Throlar, for the crushers? 9For the record, you guys are free to leave whenever and go to the hall, I just need to know what was actually exhanged before I can update stats. Manny looks wide-eyed at Vindaval as he hears the tale of the dragon. "Wow... Things like that actually live here?! On Olegaia?! that's... amazing. Thanks heroes! Thanks a ton!" "I have no need for the viper scales, sorry."
  23. And then savato takes off his helmet, and reveals he's actually Sylph! (But he's still wearing a helmet.)
  24. Sylph takes off his helmet, and reveals Savato's helemt... Proving they are in fact one and the same!! /plottwist
  25. Why did I make those gloves... Also, thanks, Swils! Lethauros is totally just White Fatalis, but you probably guessed that. Jin is based on Zinogre from the same series, and his name is the abbreviation of his Japanese one (Jinouga)
