He whips an inky tentacle across the hero's torso, leaving an inky trail in the strike's wake. The plasm stung and burned Althior, but the attack was not at full power: this thing was too weakened from battle to cause any major damage. The truth was obvious to Althior, now; This thing was a demon! It drifts backwards from the party, staring them down angrily. "Fool..." The beast hisses. "You disgrace me, shatter my pride, and render me dead to my Oculoid brethren? And then you attempt to befriend me? How dare you?!" As Karie comments, the creature - an Oculoid, apparently - shifts his gaze to the witch. Despite having only one eye, it was a chilling gaze, giving Karie a sense of dread. Their eyes lock, and the Oculoid's flashes. "The female is right, surprisingly. Figures, considering this "Karie" character has the most experience being plaything to one man or another... These pointless follies never cease to amaze me."

Technically, The "Eye of Sauron" was "Mini Death Progg", or masquerading him, at any rate. When Mr. Yellow Eyeball got ticked, he let his true eye color shine through / let a word slip, and that damaged the charade. Nothing he could do about bleeding black plasm instead of blood, however.

Johon takes a mighty swing at the beast but he parries with its tail, stunning Johon for a split second. However, that is all the time the predator needed, for he grabs Johon in his claw, refusing to let go of the meddlesome Raider. Backe dup by his undead posse, Althior conjures a ball of ice, shooting it at the beast in a frigid blur. The spell tears right through His Highness, splitting the beast in half. Like its brethren, its remains reduce to a cloudy black goop in seconds, Johon catching himself before he topples into the muck. Theire enemies were no more, and the battle was won. The Battle Was Victorious! All heroes gain their respective amount of EXP. But, looking back at the massive hole that the King crawled out of the, the traces of moss were so high the key has to be in a square adjacent to D6. Karie, Johon, and Althior sift through the spoils of war, when they see the black plasm from the king beginning to slither... The scattered, goopy remains of the beast gather into a large blob, the inky mass rising into the air as it reforms. Tentacles sprout from the blob and hang lazily in the air, a bright glowing yellow eye shining from within its cloudy body. The odd creature seems to beaten to move, simply swaying back and forth as it attempts to regain all of its plasm. It staggers from side to side in the air, tired. the scorpions bleeding ink, the glowing yellow eyes, the ability to speak... was that scorpion just a doppelganger made by this... thing?
