Not making Gondor sets (again) would be the most disappointing thing I think Lego could do

I think I’ve heard rectangle foot print (top down) (mandr just did a video on the rumors) he states that he heard a few months ago it’s essentially a slice of the Death Star, so rectangle foot print with a spherically shape/ outline and then a bunch of scenes vignettes. I think that’s where the two rumors converged. So not like a half a Death Star but a cut out from the Death Star. Seeing pictures will clear it all up but it not being a Death Star is sad.

There have been a few Reddit/instagram posts with conflicting information. I have seen some saying half a sphere and some saying rectangle.

Hoping that the leak is wrong and it is a sphere, but I agree if it is not, this thing will have to hit 30% off at some point. A $1k box with Death Star scenes would have be something special to sell at that price. I thought about this too, I still like the idea of a DS Play set - similar to Yavin. But I was also thinking a price similar to Yavin, or even double the price. I still want to see it to make my final decisions but all of the leaks so far have been discouraging. Hopefully we hear about a tie Avenger soon.

I am now hoping the gwp does not have any unique minifigures. I think this has gone from a day one buy for me to a wait for a really good deal in the next few years. Hoping the GWP doesn’t have anything unique so I don’t miss out. just read that’s it’s not spherical but a rectangle

I have to say a half a Death Star for $1000 is quite disappointing - if it is awesome (like Mos Eisley x2 I might be happier but my hopes are now super low). Add that to the lack of details on the minifigures. I am starting to wonder what the main selling point is other than there are some specific minifigures locked behind this paywall. I have been excited for a Death Star, now I am wondering if it will be remotely worth bricklinking the 6/8 figures I would really want. I am sure those minifigure prices are going to be crazy though (even without the detail/execution). It really makes me wonder what Lego is trying to do with the theme this year Super detailed minifigure in Kenobi with arm and leg printing, can't bother to do leg printing even on $1000 set minifigures. Strange approach. Maybe the GWP should be the other half and dual molded legs in a box.

Good spot, I agree there are probably more, the left of the storm troopers is covered up. I would guess Tarkin is to the left of Vader, and a sixth storm trooper is to the left of the five we see. Looks like Farmboy Luke is the furthest left in the first row. There appears to be a new Imperial Astromech in the bottom row, and then the left of the bottom row (and under the hand is all we cannot see - unless there are more elsewhere but that is unlikely as this box roughly shows the 38). Edit: My guess on the four we cannot see (middle row far left - stormtrooper number 6) (under the hand, pilot number 2), and to the left 2 Navy troopers.

the lack of dual molded legs is a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker for me. Wish sim aloo was called by the name instead of title but love that he is there, plus tagge, motti, erso, krennic, tarkin, and yularen. Just buying the used minifigures we have (tarkin, yularen, krennic) is over $150 today, adding in the new ones we are probably talking about over $300 for just those minifigures. Excited to see the other 15 or so, it would be cool to see a few more unique figures to add, I do assume there are multiple guards, storm troopers, and gunners. Very excited for this set. Edit: No printing on the skirt piece for the imperial dignitary is just sad. Lego really hates us customers to not do the simple things, and the worst part is because of all the exclusive figs I'm still going to buy it which is probably just as sad. The one piece sets, sound wave, and gameboy sets all have crazy detail and printing, not sure how Lego Star Wars can have this many lack of details (or errors that we have seen in other sets recently). Why would this theme have this many minifigure problems, and then not the details? It's $1000. But I guess they do it because people like me are stupid enough to keep buying sets for specific figures. Edit 2: Does the hot tub trooper have duel molded legs? ... Really? So the hot tub trooper gets duel molded legs, but none of the officers, C-3PO, etc. etc.

Been quiet with rumors for 2026. I am wondering how the gollum movie changing to 2027 impacts any plans from Lego. Hopefully we hear something in the next few months.

The printing on the eyes is a nice add, would be cool to see Vader get some. so we have an RA-7 droid (remake from original Death Star) and Krennic, 36 to go?

Maybe an unpopular opinion. After watching the reviews on the juggernaut I don’t think it’s that bad. I am not arguing that there are not issues with the set, but the vehicle itself is not that bad in my opinion, and downsizing it wasn’t a terrible idea, it has some decent play options, the shaping looks good. The downsized vehicles have had some hits and misses (hits -x-wing, u-wing, ISD, misses, Tie Fighter, arc 170, etc) but I think the vehicle itself is good looking (minus the blue). I say this knowing I will not be buying it for myself but it is something I am considering for my kids. While I don’t think the downsized vehicle is bad, I would never buy it at that price. Because this downsized the price should have also come down. $120 is fair, and $100 on discount would have been something I would have considered for my kids, $160 is crazy, but the downsize vehicle looks decent to me.

I was tempted with the cheap peridea sets until I saw the Paz visla battle for $15 at target. And the barc for $12 also at Target, grabbed both and was quite happy with two sets I had no intention of ever buying.

Maybe it is a snowspeeder, but with price increases we are now at $100? So just a ship but Hoth. I would love to have a new snow speeder in a Hoth set. I am not sure what I want more, a new snow speeder with the new windshield (a real one not the yellow thing) or a play set built around a rebel transport ship. I think the snow speeder with the new windshield. hoping the $100 set is a location like Hoth over I still really want the Death Star plans - specifically the mini figure list.

B wing scaled to minifigures? Rebel transport playset? These are my two hopes for it.

with lego price increases though (not aligning to inflation) this will probably be closer in line with the ambush on Ferrix set from that same year vs. the inquisitor transport. (love thatl figure line up though)

Nice, I can get behind the atat rebel set and imperial set. Hopefully they are well done and hopefully the imperial set is a tie avenger. (Would like the rebel set to be a b-wing). Rest sound like a pass for me.

Keep up the good fight in other news I am surprised we haven’t heard anything recently on the Death Star. I really just want a mini figure list.

Looks great. I like the usage of the Rivendell floor tiles in a new pattern, columns look cool too (as does everything else)

Had some great deals, bought another star destroyer for 30% off. But my good deals were on the Paz visla set ($15 at Target) and the barc speeder for $12 at target picked up a few of each.

My personal wishlist. - And the Tie Avenger trumps everything Scaled to minifigures Tie Shuttle - includes pilot, Captain Needa, Storm trooper Swoop - (flare s swoop) - with two Mos Eisley aliens Void Spider TX-3 - With a droid, Jawa, and another mos Eisley alien A-1 Deluxe floater - with sand trooper and Mos Eisley Alien EZ Ride passenger air speeder - With random imperial officer and alien Play set Outrider - Dash Rendar, LEBO2D9, two sand troopers Starship collection Rebel Transport Braha'tok class gunship That would complete every vehicle/ship from the OT that shows up on screen (I believe).

I just want the minifigure list at this point, I don't expect good pictures for a few months, but getting the minifigure list would be awesome.
