Again, that would be pretty lame. It's scenarios such as this which foreshadow Anakin's fate that I would like to see, but unfortunately, those could mess with the EU, and the series has a much too light tone for something like this. As of now, we haven't seen much of the Vader side of Anakin in this show. The worst thing he has done to date is to destroy a bunch of defenseless BDs for no good reason (in Mystery of a Thousand Moons). Good point! Yes, that would be the ultimate solution: To have a character that was solely created for this show (just like Ahsoka) kill her. This way, Anakin could go Vader on somebody without messing with EU. Hehe. Yeah, that's possible. I know! I never said it was the only way, I just said it would be one more reason for the council to deny his promotion to master. I don't know what all this has to do with this topic, but are we even sure that he knew that he is the Chosen One? Cause I don't think so. I think it was just his ego and the fact that the council was holding him back that was making him so angry. And just for the record: He is not the strongest Jedi. Mace Windu is! Windu could've totally whooped his megablocks if he wouldn't have betrayed him so suddenly. Wait... Are you talking about the upcoming live-action series? Cause it wouldn't make any sense to include Order 66 scenes in a series about the Clone Wars, but there could be flashbacks in a series about the Rise of the Empire era. And what does this have to do with clone armor? And what are "legos"?

A book and an exclusive fig for $14? Sounds like a good deal! Even though the fig is not supposed to be final, it looks pretty good already. Nothing all too special, though.
-
Not so much a fan of those themes, sorry. But maybe I'll gather all my yelow pieces someday and make a big, yellow spaceship or something. Just so that they will have had some use in Mocs. That's true. It just doesn't look very good on most things. Not as good as other colors at least.
-
As many have said, BTTF is a bit dated and kids today probably don't know it, so it's unlikely. But, boy, would it be awesome to have such a theme! I could totally see a set like this happening: Yeah, and unfortunately, that theme didn't do too well either, I think. I liked it, though.

I agree with most of you here. My favorite (brick) color is lime green, even though it's not highly useful for MOCs. It's just such a positive color! What's my second favorite? Guess what - It's neon green! My third favorite would have to be metallic silver & gold. They're so shiny! Too bad that they get scratched so easily. I also like all the dark colors. In addition to looking rather attractive, they are more "real-life colors" than the usual cartoony bright colors. And just like with many of you, my least favorite is yellow. It's just such an ugly and useless color! I still haven't taken apart my 4404 simply because I have yet to find a good use for its parts. Also, I'm not a big fan of all those Sand colors. There are so few pieces in those colors that they are kinda useless for MOCs. And pink, although exotic, is a too girly color for my taste. But in general, all Lego colors bring joy to my heart.

In the contrary! I posted that vid a while ago: And btw, I wouldn't believe the opinion of a vassal on a set that has just been released. No offense.
-
That's awesome! Definitely made my day! Nicely done video too. The images fit very well IMO. Hm... I hope my minifigs never ask me for brick coverage... Keep on brickin!

Sorry, I did not mean to upset you (any further). I was just trying to support the things others have said. Now there's an insult you wont get flamed for on these forums! Prove it. I'm not saying I don't believe you. I just want you to realize that saying "millions of peaple" is an exaggeration. Of course many still like it - there are always die-hard fans - but it has been a while since I have seen a kid with a Spongebob backpack or something. And btw, I have not seen any reasonable arguments from you that show that it would make sense for the SB theme to continue. Those occasional n00bish "SPONGEBOB RULES!" outbursts of yours don't count. This is a rhetorical question, right? But I agree that a BTTF theme would be awesome! I definitely don't want it to replace Disney, though! Perhaps when Indy ends... Oh Geez! Here we go again... A very, very good question. And a nice BTTF reference. Fair enough. You seemed to have learned your lesson, so let's move on. But before we do, let's get one thing straight: If the changes are not clearly noticeable to the majority, then they are not complete redesigns. Lego Aladdin would indeed be great! But even if we don't get a Lego Agrabah, there is still Lego Prince of Persia and the Indiana Jones set Ambush in Cairo.

Well... I guess so. But Gran usually have three eyes, and they stick out.

Yeah, I guess you're right. But still, as you say, it would have killed him eventually (which is what Owlman wanted, I think), and there is not much difference between pulling a trigger and pushing a button. Oh well. I'd love to make one, but I'm afraid I don't have the required purple bricks for this. Somebody who owns the Knight Bus and a trans-neon half-bubble should be able to make one. Do you have those things? But I still got dibs on the Batwing! I know. That's why I said little continuity, not no continuity. I see. Oh well, he's not exactly my favorite Bat-villain anyway. Unfortunately, I missed the last one and only got to see the ending. It looked pretty cool though! I'll record it when they air it again and watch it completely next weekend. The one before that, Mystery in Space, was not as good as I had hoped either. Adam Strange was only kinda cool, but mostly, he made the impression of a love-blinded wanna-be hero. And the whole Aquaman side plot was just stupid and annoying. I mean, come on! Only Aqua-wimp would let such a small failure get him down so much! And thanks to his depression, he was as useless as ever! (Sorry for that little Aquaman rant. ) The rest of the episode was alright, but somewhat confusing at times. For example, it was said that the doomsday device was immune to attacks, but Strange was able to blow a hole into its roof with a tiny explosive anyway. Also, it would have been nice if they would have explained a little how that beam works at the beginning instead of letting the viewer figure it out throughout the episode. The short story that they showed at the beginning of that episode wasn't all that good either. Apparently, the main attraction of this story was supposed to be The Question (who you claimed to be one of the most awesome characters). This was the first time I saw him, and I must say that I wasn't very impressed by him. He didn't really do anything and seemed to be a regular guy without a face whose best power it is to ask "excellent questions". The villain, Equinox, didn't intrigue me all too much either. He seems to be a rather predictable villain - at least for the Dark Knight. The only interesting thing about this teaser was the fact that it was the first one to end in a cliffhanger. Could it be that Equinox will really return to have is revenge on Bats as he promised? Could this be the story arc this season is supposed to have? Even if so, I'm not too excited since, as I said, I didn't like Equinox too much and therefore don't care if he returns or not. In the end, this episode left me doubtful about how good this season of the show will be, but Trials of the Demon looked promising, so I'm not loosing my hope yet. Btw, here is a beautiful little screenshot that I took from the Season 1 finale: I think he looks very cool in that scene. Just thought I'd share it.

Same to you, Sir. Seriously, though, calm down, dude. You're obsessed with Spongebob and any other cartoon that airs on Nick. We get it. But that does not mean that you have the right to run around here telling people to shut up if they don't like the Lego theme. It's not like they are criticizing you. Anyone has the right to state his/her opinion on a matter. If they think it sucks, and you don't like it, just ignore them. Because nobody cares. Back on Topic: I, too, think that Spongebob's end is near. These are my reasons: The line didn't do all that well. The last two sets released were remakes that were only slightly different from their initial versions. I have seen most of the show, and I can say that all iconic vehicles and locations have been done, apart from Sandy's house and the Flying Dutchman's ship. But Sandy's house is basically just a tree under a giant glass dome and there is no way for TLG to make such a dome. And the ship would just be another Lego ship like those in the pirate line, with the exception of the inclusion of licensed figs. I don't think that Spongebob is all that "in" anymore with today's kids. With the Disney license comming up and with the Indy & SW licenses holding strong, I don't think there will be much room for any other licenses. I also don't think that there will be sets from any of the other Nick shows, considering that the first two themes didn't do too well and that shows like the Fairly Odd Parents are somewhat old by now. The only hope for the Nick license that I see is for them to make sets from the upcoming Avatar movies. I personally found the sets charming, but none of them interested me enough to get them. These are just my opinions and do not intend to offend anyone.

I thought it's rather obvious due to the extra parts included and the picture with the two complete pods. And I'm sure the instructions are the same as for Beedo's frame. But I just downloaded the instructions of this set, and I must say that you're right. There really is no indication in the instructions that you can do that at all, which is indeed strange. But now that you know it, could you please post a picture of the two completed pods and show what pieces are left over after that change? That would be great! And while you're at it, you should change the statement in your review from this: To something like this: There are no instructions for a frame for Mawhonic's podracer, but a picture on the cover indicates that you can use the pieces from the junkyard exterior to make such a frame. Just a suggestion.

Lego Clone Wars Videogame Ideas & thoughts
Oky replied to JimboJones's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hello there! I thought we should revive this thread to add ideas from the first season of the TV show. With the success of the show (and in return, that of the Lego sets), I think it's becoming rather likely for a LSW Clone Wars game to happen. There are so many sets already and it seems like there are still many to come! And the first season of the TV show alone provides for many great stories and settings for a game! So here are my ideas for different levels: Malevolence (Space): This is a flight level. Fly around the Malevolence in a Y-Wing and destroy its ion cannons. The Malevolence: You fight your way through corridors, jump around on moving rail-jet trains, and destroy the nav-computer at the end. The boss is Grievous. The Rishi Station (from Rookies): After explosives have been set, you try to escape from Rishi Station, fighting droid commandos on your way out. The boss could be the commando droid leader... or a Rishi eel. Skytop Station (from Duel of the Droids): Fight your way through the station while being attacked by MagnaGuards, find R2, and get to the hangar. The boss could be Grievous... or "Goldie". The Tranquility (from Cloak of Darkness): Walk through the Venator, fighting invading droids, and find Ventress. She is the boss. The Lair of Grievous: You have to escape from Grievous's castle and have to fight MagnaGuards and Gor on the way. The boss is Grievous of course. Pirate HQ (from Gungan General): You have to escape from the Weequayan pirates. The boss could be the pirate chief. Battle of Quell (from Jedi Crash): This is a flight level. Fight through CIS forces in an RGS and (crash)land on board Aayla Secura's Venator. Battle of Maridun (from Defenders of Peace): Travel Maridun, fighting hostile creatures, find the Lurmen, and protect their village against the droid forces. The boss is Lok Durd and his defoliator. Battle of Orto Plutonia (from Trespass): Fly through an icy canyon on a Freeco bike, fighting off Talz warriors. Nuvo Vindi's laboratory (from Blue Shadow Virus): Get through the Naboo swamp without getting detected. Then, go through the hatch and fight your way through the underground complex to the lab. The boss is Vindi. (You have to catch all the vials that he drops. ) Battle over Ryloth: Another flight level. Fight through attacking Vulture Droids and bomb the crap out of the Separatist frigates. Ryloth Ground Battle (Innocents & Liberty of Ryloth): Fight through the village of Nabat, defeating the Gutkurr beasts, free the captives, take out the heavy cannons, and take the capital. Not sure who/what the boss could be. Perhaps a tactical droid in an AAT? These are the most realistic ideas I would have. I know I left some very good episodes out, but that's because I just don't think they would make good levels. So, what do you suggest? -
Thank you so much for reviewing this! I am a huge Podracing fan and I can't believe I missed out on this set! It's really nice. Wrong. Have you ever wondered why Watto's Junkyard looks so cruddy and why there are extra cables and trans-orange pieces and why both pods are shown complete in the corner of the box art? It's because the junkyard exterior is really an alternate model of the stand of Mawhonic's podracer! Mawhonic isn't in the set! That's what. This was our one chance to get a Gran fig, but TLC denied us this pleasure. But I guess you're right in saying that getting two exclusive species in one set is enough. Also, Watto would have looked so much nicer with a little printing, and the set could have used a Pit Droid or two as you said. Mawhonic's podracer aka. The PacMan racer! Again, thanks for the review. Could you please add the rest of the comic? That would be great!

About the Season 2 preview: I think most of the clips are from the episode Cargo of Doom, so I'm guessing it'll be one of the first episodes. Here are some observations: Ahsoka is hugging a very weird, ET-ish looking little alien. It's awesome how Anakin goes crazy on those SBDs with his AND Ahsoka's lightsaber! Bane has jet-boots!!! Bane has a whip! He must be a real big Indy fan! Bane is wearing clone armor in one of the clips!

I didn't say it was a pure CIS loss, I just said it was a loss for Grievous as he lost the only two persons that he ever cared about (besides himself) and failed to pass Dooku's test. Of course it was more of a Republic loss (which is another good thing about the episode), but it was quite a bit of a loss for Grievous (as a person, not a faction) as well.
-
YES! Please do! I have never seen a good pic of Mawhonic's assembled pod!

Nice review, and a nice set. This is obviously the 2001 equivalent to the old Droid BP. But apart from the fact that it doesn't have any SBDs, it's kinda superior to the one from 2007. This is a pure Battle Droid BP and unlike the 2007 one, it actually has a droid pilot. And this was back in the day when BD pilots were normal BDs with a blue print (like they are supposed to) as opposed to just having a completely blue torso like the ones these days. Also, instead of the set consisting of a poorly designed, made-up carrier and a STAP, it has one rather well designed vehicle that is actually based on a vehicle from the movies. And the parts that it is made of are useful for MOCs. In the end, I kinda regret not getting at least one of these, but since I got two of the new MTTs and therefore a whole army of the new and better type of BDs, I'm not so sad about it anymore. It's still a nice set though. Thanks for doing this review. The only criticism I have is that it could use a pic that shows all the parts of the set. Keep up the good work!

I voted Lair of Grievous for these reasons: It's an episode that pits my favorite SW villain against my third favorite Jedi! (the other two favorites being Windu and Kenobi of course) Unlike other episodes, it is well paced and has a darker, more serious tone. This ep focuses a lot on Grievous and reveals quite a bit about him and his past. It shows his home and his pet and explores his psyche a little. It has some of the best fight scenes of the first season! This is the only episode where Grievous kills a jedi (something he should be doing a lot)! The only downside of this ep is the fact that Grievous looses yet again. But seeing as the only other option would be him killing Kit Fisto, I actually prefer it this way. Mace Windu makes a cameo appearance and the episode ends with another wise Yoda phrase!

I agree, darthperson. It would be pretty lame (and unfair toward the young viewers) to show Ahsoka trying hard to become a good jedi throughout the show just to have her die or turn bad in the end, even if her death/conversion is meaningful (like teaching Anakin a lesson or something). Besides, as somebody said in the CW TV show thread, it would be pretty strange for Anakin to request to be promoted to a master if he has a dead/evil padawan on his record. For those who want her to appear in a sequel of TFU: You guys are just saying that because you want to kill her yourself.

Well, as expected, Hostage Crisis was very good. Like all episodes of this show, it wasn't perfect, but still highly enjoyable. I really like Bane as a character! I like how he organized this whole thing - using droid commandos to get into the building, teaming bounty hunters with assassin droids when sending them on patrol, sending a droid to pick up Ziro so that Ziro can't pursuade the driver of the vehicle not to bring him to Bane, etc. And of course his voice and cruel acts (like immediately shooting anyone who steps out of line) made him even better! Aurra Sing was very cool too! I look forward to seeing more of these two in the next season(s). Apparently there is a lot to talk about, so... *breathes in deeply* ... here we go: Did it ever occur to you that this might have been due to the fact that it was a hologram? But yeah, I know what you mean. Perhaps it has something to do with those tubes on his neck. Yes, the other episode that they appear in is "Cloak of Darkness". And yeah, they were pretty useless. Just like Fox and his troops. Well, they might not have done much, but they fulfilled their job excellently IMO! If you want to see them kicking some serious butt, watch the episode "Rookies"! Blue Artoo & Threepio? Count me in! And Bane has to happen! Apparently he'll be a recurring character in the next season, a very cool one, so TLG would be a fool not to put him in at least one set. It wouldn't be too hard for them to make one either since they don't need to make a new mold for him (although it would be good if they made a new neck piece for those tubes on banes neck). Because then it wouldn't have been a problem for Anakin to take out the bounty hunters and the episode would have been pretty boring. Besides, Organa could have seen that. Really? I mean it's not like they showed them humping each other. Just one kiss, and they even panned away from that. I don't like watching them make out either, but I think it's kind of mandatory that they show their relationship since it's the main reason for Anakin to go over to the darkside later on. As Anakin said in this episode, nothing is more important to him than their relationship. The power was still down, remember? And apparently none of them had a communicator with them. Also, by that time, Bane was already pretty far from the Senate building, so I don't think they could have catched him. Seconded! That was a nice little detail! It was also nice to finally see the good old jedi mind trick being used again. This is sadly true. He should really listen to fan feedback more. Creative geniuses. Go figure. Even though they made him sound like the most badass person ever (Wasn't it obvious that they exaggerated?), it wouldn't have made sense for him to kill Ziro since the only thing he is interested in is money. Good questions. The fact that Bane asks Ziro to get paid indicates that it was Ziro who somehow hired them to do it. However, in the preview of Hostage Crisis on StarWars.com, they call the group of bounty hunters and droids "agents of Count Dooku". So this means that Dooku is somehow behind it. Perhaps it was his idea to have them use the Senators as hostages. Maybe he wanted to destroy the Republic Senate with this. And except for the theory of Dooku supporting this organization, I wouldn't have any other explanation for the droid commandos working for Bane. Also a good question. Palpy sure looked pissed when he talked to Bane, so he might not have known that this would happen. But if Dooku was behind the whole thing, I guess Palpy would know about it too. Also, when he was threatening Bane, it kinda sounded like he didn't mean it. But that could have just been the fault of the bad voice actor. There are many sources that indicate this. Check the wookiepedia article on Jedi Masters. How come that everytime I talk about the webcomic, it goes unnoticed? Anyway, about the stereotypes in SW: I can understand some of the arguments people make about this, but mostly I think it's overrated. For example, I don't see how Neimodians are supposed to be anything like the Chinese. But I guess this is a matter of opinion and doesn't belong in this thread. About the Season 2 plot rumors: I wouldn't believe any of them right now, especially not the ones on wikipedia. The only thing we know for sure at the moment is that there will be an episode called Cargo of Doom that features Bane, Anakin, and Ahsoka. And I don't think that we'll know anything more specific until shortly before the show starts again. Now, all we can do is wait...
-
This thread is still alive? Anyway, I think the Shaquille O'Neal head fits Mace Windu pretty well too, even though he seems slightly too happy for Mace: If they would make a head like that, but with the facial expression of the CW Mace, it would be perfect IMO.
-
There are two things in the poll that I would suggest correcting: 1. If you include the golden telescope, you should include the black and brown ones as well. 2. Lightsaber is spelled "lightsaber", not "lightsabre".
-
Well, you can see them all on the instruction page: If you want more individual pics, I suggest you try bricklink or brickset or something. Hope that helped. Now, please don't bump threads if you don't have anything to say to the topic of the thread. Thanks.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
Oky replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Don't worry, I'm still watching it. I'm just a bit behind (for US standard) because I'm quite busy lately. That's why I was staying away from this topic in order to avoid spoilers. That's the last one I saw too. Yes, this was kind of a trippy episode, which is good. But I, too, am getting tired of all those weird Sarah episodes. Why can't she just die already! Nah, JK. Seriously, though, I don't know where they're going with this, but they better get there soon. This show has come a long way from what we define as "Terminator", and I don't wish this show to end in a disaster. It sure did! Beastwizard? Are you talking about Cromartie aka, John Henry? Yeah, I guess they should show more of him. But I think they are stretching his story out because it's part of the season finale. I wonder what he'll be doing the next time we see him. Perhaps he'll be playing with Lego Agents and demonstrate how much superior the cyborgs are over the humans.
