  1. Well, that's sad to hear, Jim. But although I agree with you, I also agree with Jifel and Jammiedodger. As long as there is still some interest in the game, we should try to keep it going. Let's at least try to round off the story, OK?
  2. Wow. Looks like this crap is actually happening. I'm not very excited about this game, but I'll be optimistic about it, seeing as it is the first one to be brave enough to strive away from all the games based on licensed Lego themes (or any existing Lego theme for that matter). It should be fun seeing some of the rock celebs in minifig form. And who knows, maybe a cool Lego theme will come from this. We'll see.
  3. Isn't it obvious? Jedi robes! There are many different colorations in the Star Wars decal library.
  4. Hear, hear! Yes, I noticed that too, and it quite puzzles me as well. However, the arrows don't indicate that you have to pull it back, so I don't think that it does have a pull-back motor (which would be a neat feature IMO and would rectify the high price). So, the Penguin might be right in saying that it could simply have a new design which makes it much easier to roll than the old snail tank (hence the lushness of the treads) so that it just keeps rolling after you give it a push. On the other hand, it doesn't look like you can seat a droid inside this time (which is more accurate and therefore good IMO), so the tank needs to have some play feature (besides rolling), or else the play value of this set would be pretty low.

    Going to Europe

I see you're back! So... How was it?
  6. Because frogs are some of my favorite animals, and lime green is my favorite color. Fave animal + fave color = win!
  7. You also forgot owls, parrots, clams, fish, the new cows, and many more. But as I don't think that this is supposed to be a thread for listing already existing animals, let's get back on topic: Getting a tiger or lion would be neat IMO. And a gorilla in the style of the big Castle trolls - unified body with posable arms & hands. Or perhaps like the upcoming rock monsters with springed arms so that they can fling poop. Also, some more winged animals would be nice. And would it be too much to ask to get the existing frog in lime green? I think with the upcoming Disney license, there is a lot of hope for getting some new animals!
  8. Because the old dome sucked (IMO anyway). Artoo's dome isn't white; it's silver, and bley is the best cost-effective replacement color. On the old one, they tried to cram all of Artoo's dome printing into the upper half of the dome which didn't look right at all. I like the new one a lot. In fact, it's one of the main reasons for me to consider buying the upcoming Y-Wing. But I agree that it would have been nicer if it were the Agents style silver instead of bley.
  9. Interesting. So, it's either a minifig, several minifigs, or a set. Good news, as long as it's affordable. Can't wait!
  10. I don't see the point of this thread, but... According to Brickset, 534. However, there are still many sets that I haven't included in the list, and I got a few from PAB, so I probably have well over 600. Note, though, that about a hundred of them are droids.

    UFO tank

Hehe. Pretty cool. But it needs a lot more trans neon green.
  12. I recently got this set for $15 and I'm rather disappointed. The design is mediocre at best, and as you say, there's not really anything special about it except those rocket droids. I'm growing tired of TLC's overuse of that big quarter disc piece because most of the time it's not the piece they should be using and is just a way for them to cut down on costs. The model is one of the most inaccurate ones I have seen in a while. Just compare: The wings should have been bigger, the heads should have looked differently, and the front should have been much less round. And the walker mode is even worse: Very little resemblance IMO. They could have done a much better job on this if you ask me. The only good thing about it is that it's a nice parts pack with an acceptable price/parts ratio, especially when on sale.
  13. The Pilot Luke maquette is down to $19.99 at the StarWars.com shop.
  14. That's awesome! I think this deserves to go into the SW forum!
  15. I loved the Ep. III clones at first, but now that the CW clones are out, I have to vote for them. the fact that they have actual faces underneath their helmets and the customizability of their accessories make them far superior to the other clone figs IMO. Now, if TLC would release the Ep. III clones again, but with closed visors and customizable accessories, now that would be the ultimate clone for me! As for the subgroup: Jet troopers all the way!!! Although clone comanders with their fancy printing are pretty cool too. PS: Why can't we vote for Senate Commandos? Because they aren't clones? What a discrimination!
  16. An "Invasion of the Ewoks" Contest? I like it! Except that I don't have Ewoks and many others probably wont either (until the Endor set comes out). How about an Attack of the Jar Jar Clones contest?
  17. That does sound exciting! One prize to rule them all... 'invasion', eh? Hm... Perhaps a contest to show the empire or CIS invading a world? Can't wait!
  18. Sorry for not posting in here lately, guys. I (like many of us apparently) have been very busy lately, and I still am. But as there seems to be some confusion, I shall try catch up on the recent events in the game and to sort things out as soon as I can. As for the future for the game, it's all up to the game creator, Jim Butcher (who I haven't heard from in a while ). But if the game continues to go this slow, and not lead anywhere, it's possible that this may be the final chapter.
  19. I believe this is the link you mean? Yes, you might be right about that. I think you answered your own question there. Creating a whole new set (especially a UCS) just to sell it for two days in only one country and only online would be a lunatic move by TLC. This will be an exclusive minifig at best, or maybe just an discontinued popular set made re-available. But I am excited nevertheless!
  20. Wow! Awesome design! I would have never thought of doing anything like this! I might have to borrow that idea someday. The color scheme works very well too!
  21. Well, I saw the season finale too now, and I guess it was OK. It could have used a little more action. It's all still very confusing, which makes me hope even more that the show will return. On Yahoo!, somebody made a list of shows that deserve to return in fall, and TSCC is amongst them (LINK). The scene with Cameron and John on the bed was rather confusing as well, in an awkward kinda way. But, boy, is she hot! Yet another reason for the show to return! Now, I guess the only thing we can do is hope (and wait for Rex to finally catch up ).
  22. YAY! I won! Thanks to KimT for organizing this great contest, and thanks to everyone who voted for me, especially The Penguin! Everyone did a great job on their entries! Can't wait for the next contest! PM sent!
  23. It could also be the Palpatine's Arrest set which didn't make it as a TRU exclusive, but still got a lot of votes. At least that's what I hope it is. But it's probably just a re-release or something completely different. Oh well, I guess we'll find out soon enough. Edit: On second thought, if it's only available for TWO days, it's probably something small, but special. Or as somebody suggested, maybe just a big sale on one or all SW item(s). I'd prefer it if it were a sale!
  24. Hello there. I thought I'd just say what I think of Transformers. I'm not a big fan as some of you seem to be, but I think I'm starting to get into it. As a little kid, I enjoyed playing with the few transformer toys I had. However, I never saw the cartoon, so I never knew their story. I had almost forgotten about transformers when Bay's movie came out. I found myself enjoying the movie, even though I can understand everybody's complains about the lack of story. Now, I am a big fan of the new show Transformers Animated. The style and animation appeal to me, and the story is well written IMO. The season 3 opener was awesome, and it has been a good season so far (except for the episode with the constructicons ). I was really hoping that they woudn't cancel it anytime soon, but according to Wikipedia, there are only a few episodes left, and the last two are titled "End Game". Oh well. As I enjoyed the first Bay movie, I'm kinda looking forward to the upcoming one. I just hope that the movie will re-boost interest in transformers among kids so that they make another season for the cartoon! Btw, has anyone seen the sneak peek of "Human Error - Part 1" on the CN website? It's hilarious! They designed the human versions of the Autobots very well IMO. Can't wait for the rest of the episode!
  25. I'd say it's 50/50 for me too. Even though minifigs are a big factor for me in the decision to buy a set or not (especially for SW sets), it's also important to me how well the set is designed and how useful its parts are.
