  1. Nice MOC! I'm sure your SPIII baddies will feel right at home! However, for some reason it doesn't feel like a SPIII MOC to me, more like a M-Tron MOC. But maybe that's just me. And why is it called "The hanger"? Are the speeders etc. supposed to hang from that tower or something? Why not? I don't think so. It's hard to tell how long and wide it is (with the Technic wings and all) but I'm guessing it'll be at least 24 studs wide (because the yellow container in the back is 12 studs wide and the whole truck seems to be about twice as wide as the container) and 32 studs long (container (18 studs) + cockpit (10 studs) + a few more studs for all those pointy things at the front and back). It might just fit, but then you wouldn't be able to fit anything else in there.
  2. It seems like Amazon has a whole bunch of sales on Lego. For example, MagnaGuard Starfighter is down to 33.99.
  3. Thanks for finally answering my question! Yes, I guess that makes sense. Anyway, here is my entry: Fool Fiction My April Fool is a hitman for a day job. A CRAZY hitman! Look at him go crazy on this group of often hated minifigs! "Knock, knock!" "Take that, creepy-faced Anakin! Take that, immobile Jelly! Take that, stupid Jar Jar!" I hope you liked it. Any suggestions to make it crazier?
  4. Yes, and that's the main problem here. If you want white/yellow light, then I don't think that part 6637 will be useful to you. The Lego Fiber Optics Cables on the other hand might. You are right, they are more plastic than real fiber glass, but it works pretty well. You may lose some of the light on the way, but it comes out pretty good on the other end IMO. However, the end of the Fiber Optics Cable that connects to 6637 is very thin and does not connect with any other Lego piece as far as I know. If you would find some way to mount that thin end of the cables in front of the PF lights, I guess they might be useful to you. But I agree with others that the "Exo-Force variant" has the same effect, but is much easier to use. I think it's the best purist solution for your problem and I can recommend it.
  5. Even though I usually don't have the bad luck of getting bent and/or even peeled-off stickers, I do agree that it would be better if TLG would put them into the instruction booklet. After building a set, I always put the stickers that I didn't use into the instructions for safe keeping, and that has worked pretty good so far. But then again, in bigger sets, it sometimes happens that the instructions booklet was bent too (it happened in my MTT ), so maybe it wouldn't make all that much of a difference. And, who knows, maybe there could be a mishap where the stickers end up peeling off inside the booklet. The results would be disastrous! *shudders*

    Hot Rod

Meh, it looks alright, but basically, it's just a landspeeder without a windshield and with a little engine thingie at the front. Not very original IMO. I'm loving that screaming Obi Wan, though!
  7. Don't ask so many questions; just do it! The worst thing that can happen is that you'll be disqualified. So, quick, post it already! Just make sure that you meet all the rules & requirements.
  8. Interesting topic! I'll have to go with the first choice - keep them as they are. Since I usually don't buy re-released sets which I already own the old/new version of, I don't have the same minifig in two different versions either. And because I'm usually happy with how the minifigs look, I don't mod them either and just leave them as they are. This way there is a specific style for every era for me: Episode I = yellow with no "pupils" Episode II = yellow with no "pupils" Clone Wars = flesh, CW-style Episode III = flesh with no "pupils" Episode IV = yellow with no "pupils" Episode V = some yellow, some flesh, all without "pupils" Episode VI = yellow with no "pupils" I prefer the flesh style, though. I am glad that they decided to go this way and am trying to get more and more flesh versions of the figs that I have in yellow. If I had more flesh heads, I would probably mod them, but I rarely buy any other sets than SW anymore. So here's for hoping that they'll release every SW fig in flesh form by the end of the license.
  9. Hehe! Some CRAZY entries so far! I know that there are pretty much no rules for this, but... Can we enter more than once? My crazy mind can't decide on one single entry to post!
  10. Thanks for the kind words, guys! So, there is nothing I can improve, not even on the thread? Well, if you look at the reference pics, the original doesn't consist of the exact same color all-over either. Besides, I always think that this type of combination gives a MOC a kind of used/battle-damaged/camouflaged look.
  11. GAT - Ground Armored Tank Pieces: 197 Minifigs: 0 From Wookieepedia: The Full Article Front: Left Side: Rear: Right Side: Top: Bonus Pictures The GAT in Acceleration Mode: The GAT on the ground (without the fake-hovering-technique glass ): And here it is meeting its match, the TX-130 Fighter Tank: Reference Pic 1: Reference Pic 2: Brickshelf Gallery Comments: After I played the levels from the SW Battlefront 2 conversion pack and heard about this contest, I knew I had to make this! It was a challenge staying under the piece limit for the Small category, but I am quite happy how it turned out. Please let me know what you think and what I can still improve. Thanks!
  12. Yes! It's much better than your other pics! It would be good, though, if you would add another pic like that, but from the front, because as you know, the first pic in the post will be the one used to represent your MOC, and I don't think that you want your entry to be represented by a pic of the rear of it. This is a very neat creation, especially considering that it's made out of around 150 bricks! Now I'm off to have some OAT-meal.
  13. "Green Bolt"? That reminds me of my Green Lightning! Nice work. It has a lot of gaps, and some areas could have been smoother IMHO, but in general, it looks fine.
  14. I'm Turkish, but I also have a little bit of German in me.
  15. A tank with a droid brain counts as a vehicle right? Cause technically it's just a large droid. Just checking. Also, will there be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for every category, or just 1st place for each?
  16. Another 10195 revew? These things are popping up everywhere these days. Very good review! The first one to actually appear complete! However, one thing is missing. Seeing as you have the AT-TE, could you please show a pic or two of it being hooked onto the dropship? That would be great! Wow. I can't believe how much bigger the dropship is in comparison to the RGS! Boy, this set looks better every time I see a review of it! It's gonna be a loooong wait til Christmas...
  17. Space :skull: s for $20.
  18. Wow. Overreaction much! Fix what? The second Pilot is meant to be in the second set of bags. Btw, starstreak, you still haven't corrected this: Can't wait to see the finished review! In other words: BUILD FASTER! JK
  19. That's not what we meant. We meant the fact that barely anyone posted anything in the last few weeks.
  20. Wait! You haven't shown us the updated version yet! Make some pictures for one of your posts in the game (it could be an old one) and then you can take it apart if you like. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that. Once we see your updates, I can update my Mini Fortitude accordingly and post some pics of it. And btw, I agree with Jim. The game is going way too slow and the side plots are starting to get out of hand. It's time to regroup and get this game going again!
  21. This. If you want to discuss it, you can go either here or here. Seeing as you don't even know what I'm talking about, I'm assuming you meant the CW cartoon. As I said, I don't think they will show anything from Order 66 in this series. Order 66 is something that happened in Episode 3, and this show takes place a whole while before that. Besides, Order 66 is something very tragic, and SW:TCW is a show aimed at kids and therefore not suited for such a theme. What do you hope to see anyway? Order 66 was just clones shooting their Jedi generals. Yes. Sort of. You can discuss it here. Now let's get back on topic.
  22. That's one big sticker sheet! Btw, thanks to your picture of the real sticker sheet, I was able to make out the writing on the droid head sticker. Unfortunately it's the same text as that of the Kovakian Monkey lizard sticker from the RGS: "Laugh this of(f)" Would have been nice if they would have been more original. Or, considering they were ripping off Rayman's custom sticker, they should have kept the title "Scrap Em". And speaking of stickers, I voted for the Wampa sticker. It's much more menacing than the droid head and reminds of the Rancor nose art of the ARC Gunship from the old CW cartoon (which was the best nose art ever! ).
  23. Can't wait for the finished review! Do you have the 7675 AT-TE? If so, please show how it looks when it's connected to the Dropship, on the ground and in the air! Also, when you have finally finished your review, you should add a "How do you rate this set" section to the poll. Nope. Only the clone, the clone pilot, and the MagnaGuard were released last year. Ahsoka was released last year too, but the one from this year has slightly different printing, I think. Either way, TLC is right in saying that these are the minifigs found in the early 2009 sets. But could it be that the SBD is the old kind from the BP from 2007? I can't quite tell. If so, that would be an exception, and probably a mistake.
  24. Does this really deserve its own topic? For those who want to know, this is the tub that you get: Not very exciting IMO. But hey, it's still free Lego! The offer is valid for the US. Don't know about any other countries.
  25. If you're only interested in macaroni pieces, then Pick-A-Brick is a better solution for you.
