  1. Wow, that looks great! Nice job! But if I may be a bit nitpicky, she should have blue eyes. Do Supergirl! Stephanie is perfect for the role! Catwoman and Poison Ivy would be interesting to see as minidolls too. I think this needs its own thread in the MCW forum.
  2. I have yet to see you make a single fig from Batman Beyond! There are lots of interesting figs to make from that show! And there have been other good suggestions throughout this thread, so just go back through it and see which ones you want to make. I don't actually have any objection. You do know this meme, don't you? I think it's because it's an almost completely new fig you designed whereas on most of your other figs you use preexisting designs, you just recolor them. The detail on the face is especially spot-on!
  3. You could use this as the bowl and put a white round 2x2 tile in it to represent the milk. It's a bit wide for a cereal bowl, but it's the best I can come up with aside from that chrome piece that was already mentioned. You could also use one of these with a round tile on top, but I'm not sure how good that would look. There are some minifig spoons, one of which can be found in the Friends vet set, but if you don't want to bricklink those, you could just stick a screw driver into the "milk" and pretend the spoon is half emerged in the cereal.
  4. Well, those are the only confirmed ones, so I'm not expecting any named characters. I'm expecting it to be a set like 4854 Doc Ock's Bank Robbery, so it might come with some civilians or police officers. That would be good actually, since so far the superheroes haven't had anyone to save but themselves. Actually, phantasm had a good point a few pages back. Seeing as there will be a Spidey TV show featuring Nick Fury, they would have a good reason to include him in that set. However, I still wonder why they would release a Fury fig and not put him in an Avengers set. Sorry. I'm terrible at detecting your sarcasm. It would indeed help if you would utilize those emoticons. It looks closer to Lego's earth orange color in most shots of her though, so it makes sense that they chose that color. Also, I prefer the hair that TLG chose over the Dastan/Snape hair, seeing how wavy it is.
  5. I know, I know. It's just that I'm not a huge fan of her movie version. It's not a problem, just a personal preference.
  6. DC = DeCember Marvel = March Makes sense. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Kinda wish it were dark red to be more in line with the comics, but oh well.
  7. I totally support these ideas! And I think they're plausible too if TLG can make sets from the Iron Man movies, except maybe the Stark Expo one which doesn't seem to have enough substance, especially for a $100 set. OK, here some of my ideas (apologies if somebody had similar ones): A small Nightwing set, with him on his bike, a new bat-villain, and some scenery, just like the Catwoman Chase set. Seeing as that set included Batman with his jetpack and TLG practically already made him, it could be Man-Bat. X-Men VS. brick-built sentinel with Wolverine (preferably with his mask on), Prof. X, Nightcrawler, Beast, Storm, Cyclops, and maybe Jean. The Fantasticar with the F4, Dr. Doom, and maybe some doombots. Teen Titans sub/spaceship with Robin, Cyborg, BB, Starfire, Raven, and a villain or two, preferably Slade and Terra or some of the Brotherhood of Evil. Hulk VS. Military. A tank or heavily armed helicopter with General Ross and Betty, Bruce Banner, and Hulk (with purple pants!!). Or, alternately: Hulk VS. Hulkbuster Iron Man, with Hulk and Iron Man in a small mech. Mr. Freeze's Lab. A Batcave-sized set with a new, more comic/BTAS accurate Freeze, Batman (obviously) on a small vehicle, Batgirl, Nora in her cryo-tank, and a Freeze henchman. Could include a large freeze-ray.
  8. It's because it's a TRU exclusive and a popular set for various reasons.
  9. Same here. What makes it even funnier is that it's not even a cake the Pieman is holding, it's a pie (duh!). OK, here are the funnies I promised. The first one is a tribute to Mark Hamill who has played many great characters over the course of his career, including Luke Skywalker, The Joker, Hobgoblin, and Fire Lord Ozai! The second one is about Buzz making an unpleseant discovery during his latest quest to save Woody (again). For those who don't get it, Bed Bath & Beyond is a chain of domestic merchandise retail stores here in America.
  10. This sure is an excellent batch, Pengy! I like your Bruce Wayne much better than the official one and I wish they had an official torso like that. It's Lex's suit with a painted tie, right? All the others are good too, especially considering that you don't even like some of the characters. It's interesting to know that the Teddy from your "Daddy's going to work" funny is actually part of the Bat mythos. I always learn something new when I come here! Also: Sorry, I had to do it! (Pyg made me do it! )
  11. Oops, you're right. Fixed.
  12. I know we wouldn't be allowed to show them in the entry pics, even if we were allowed to have multiples, but you could intend to have them in the scene and include them in the off-site picture gallery. Oh well, never mind. EDIT: Very funny title pic, by the way! Kudos to Brickthing!
  13. What I wanted to know is if I could use an army of Romans, but apparently not. Thanks.
  14. Ah, very good! I was beginning to think this contest got scrapped. Neat how Category B is in the spirit of Architecture Month, although I found the movie scene theme of the last one to be more challenging. I already have some good ideas and will gladly enter again if I can find the time, which shouldn't be too much of a problem with such a long submission time frame. Can we use multiples of our chosen S6 minifig in our Category B entry?
  15. Not bad, lockdownTF. I especially like Luke's posing. It really look like he's whispering. Some new ones from me. The first one is based on the latest episode of The Clone Wars. The next one is referencing the upcoming episodes. I don't think I need to put it in spoiler tags since I'm sure everyone knows about this information by now. The last one is just me making fun of the old C-3PO fig.
  16. A shame indeed, my friend. Very good stuff you have there though. Let's hope it will breathe some life into this thread! Unfortunately, I used most of my ideas for the new DC figs in my review of the Superman set, but I still have some more and will post them soon.
  17. True, but he is still a Bat-villain. Fury is more an Avengers character than anything, so why put him in one of two sets of the whole wave where he would be random? I don't mind the Iron Men since they're different suits. Thor and Hawkeye are good for parts and only appear twice, so I don't really mind those either. Loki is indeed quite annoying, but it makes sense with him being the main villain and all.
  18. But what would Fury be doing in a Spidey vs. Ock set? It's not very often that he works with Spidey. I doubt it. Green Lantern was a promo too, but unlike Fury, he wasn't mentioned in the press release. Not yet, but that doesn't mean they wont get it by the time IM3 comes out. You're forgetting the suitcase one.
  19. Yes, I did that for the Fire Nation figs from the Avatar theme. There was no way I was going to pay the ridiculous prices for the complete figs, so I bricklinked only their heads, armor, and helmets and put them on plain black bodies with flesh hands from my own collection. I also got a black batman cowl once to modify my blue Batman into a black one using black hands and hips and a vampire cape, but I'm not sure if that counts.
  20. Everyone seems to be expecting another exclusive to pop up, but I kind of doubt it. While I can't imagine where else Fury could be included, the Spidey set seems to fill the Funhouse's spot for exclusive sixth set in this wave, and somehow I doubt that they have another secret exclusive up their sleeves, but that's just my feeling and I could be wrong. Yes, and War Machine! It's possible when IM3 comes out!
  21. What is the exact deadline for this CB? Is it February 29 or March 14? If it is the end of this month, I'm afraid I wont be able to enter as my Quidditch pitch is only half done. I might be able to make it, though, if we still have another two weeks. If worst comes to worst, I guess I could enter the one half that I have right now, seeing as it is in the "Any Size" category, but I would really rather post it when it is finished.
  22. Well, this certainly was unexpected... I'm not a big fan of the Architecture line. Not sure if it's the lack of minifigs or just the ridiculous prices, but I've never had much interest in the sets. Also, I think there are many more fun themes to base a month on, and it seems to me that this idea came from TLG rather than from our admins, but maybe it's just me. I do like the new banner and skin, though, and look forward to the entries in the contest. So, does this mean that the CMF Series 6 contest will be put off for another month because of this?
  23. I respect that, but your other figures have eyes too, so I think you should at least include those in order to have this figure be unified with the rest.
  24. Haha, I love how Wolverine shows us what he thinks of flick-fire missiles! Magneto seems to indeed have an angry face, as does Thor, and Hawkeye has a goggle-face! So, I'm guessing the Spidey set isn't a TRU exclusive? The lack of Fury is indeed quite puzzling... No, but I can tell you from the set description. They simply call them "foot soldier".
  25. Well, the title is misleading in many ways (I thought these were instructions on how to replicate the Death Star set somehow), but the article sure is interesting! Thanks!
