  1. That one is of the model from the videogame which was already inaccurate/modified. It's OK if you want to base your MOC on that one, but like Brickmamba said, even that one has much longer engines. Great! Looking forward to it. I disagree. I believe if you're making a recreation, it can never be too accurate, and if you allow yourself creative freedom, it's your own interpretation adaption of the source material, not a recreation. And there is no doubt that this is a beautiful MOC either way.
  2. Was the 3D any good? Funny, the last thing I saw was Man on a Ledge too, and I really enjoyed that. Judging by the less than impressive previews and the mostly negative reviews of Chronicle, I doubt that I'd like it better, but I might give it a go when it comes on DVD.
  3. Very nice, even though this is indeed a relatively small MOC for your standards. Mesa looky forward mui mui to yousa Gungan MOC.
  4. Not bad, but unlike your first podracer, this one doesn't look very accurate. If you look at some reference pics, you'll see that the engines are much longer and the the top part is hollow. Also, the cockpit is way not as wide. I thought you were gonna post all your podracers in the other topic with Gasgano's. I'll amend that in the index.
  5. Wow, very nice entry! Too bad it's not real. If this was a set, I'd totally buy it! You should add it to Cuusoo.
  6. LOL, awesome. I wonder how many other of the Avengers will be maxified. Also, the background in that picture proves that the exclusive minifigs will probably be from the Avengers, not TDKR.
  7. Great job, dr_spock and pong0814! Those almost qualify as single-pane funnies! But they're very nice photographs too. Here a humorous one from me: The old and the new Catwoman fighting over Batman, while the latter watches in delight. And here is one where I played around with blur filters in order to make the shot look dynamic: The Joker delivers the punchline with his boxing glove gun.
  8. Very nice new scene! I like how you did the pond with the fish. Pretty good Yue too. You do know that you're required now to make a scene with her and Sokka, right? Naga looks good as well, but like all your creature MOCs, she looks a bit too blocky. That wagging tail action is cool though. Oh, and that picture of Iroh does look much better.
  9. Yes, minus Hermione. That's what I said.
  10. I disagree about the Burrow. While it is certainly a nice set, it's not essential. It only appears in 4 or 5 of the movies/books and only for a short time. Also, the minifigs it includes are all just secondary characters, except for maybe Ginny and of course Harry, but he's in every set. I would get the Hogwarts Express set instead since it also includes Ginny along with Ron, Luna, and Malfoy, who are more important than Fenrir, Bellatrix, and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. Plus its a much more iconic and playable set. Basically just look for Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Voldemort, and maybe Draco Malfoy and Ginny. Those are the main ones, I think. Very good point! I definitely agree!
  11. Actually, you're all wrong. It's a "Grand Canon", whatever that means. I think it looks great. The use of crates and barrels for most of it is nice, and the color scheme is very steampunky. I personally feel that the barrel of the cannon is a bit short, but then again, that's what makes this so unique. I have one question though: Is it supposed to be minifig scale? Because I don't think minifigs could reach the controls of it. Anyway, nice work! I hope to see more Steampunk creations from you!
  12. I think it goes without saying that the large Hogwarts castle is the essential HP set as it is a nice representation of the iconic Wizarding School with nice play features and a lot of important characters. However, it doesn't include Ron sadly. If you need proof of that, you can read my review of the set. If your kids are more into vehicles, then the Hogwarts Express is a good buy as it, too, has several important characters (including Ron!) and a lot of playability. If you want, you can add to that the Forbidden Forrest set so that you have Voldemort and Hagrid too, along with some scenery and Narcissa. Then your kids will have the most important characters, except for Hermione (who can easily be made out of other minifig parts), and can make a Hogwarts out of their own bricks.
  13. Nice spotting, pranas! Thanks for sharing! I wonder how many of these are scrapped ideas and which are upcoming sets. I think I can see the rumored Pre Viszla's starfighter next to the UCS Snowspeeder! Too bad there are all these UCS models, but no R2-D2.
  14. So, I went to see Mission Impossible 4 in IMAX for my birthday, and I was surprised to find a 6 minute excerpt from TDKR attached at the beginning! Those of you who follow the news on this movie closely probably already knew that, but I had no idea, so it was a very pleasant birthday surprise for me. It was pretty cool. It showed Bane in the captivity of some thugs on a plane, and in the end, he crashed the plane with the help of a team in a second plane (to which he escaped) in a way only Nolan could come up with. But before he left the thugs' plane, he drew some blood from somebody and took that person with him. I was very confused about what was going on because I had no idea what the hell Bane was saying due to that stupid mask of his, but it was pretty cool nevertheless and I'm looking forward to the movie. Apparently I wasn't the only one who had trouble understanding him, and Nolan promised to work on the sound editing before the final release, so I'm not too worried, but I'm still a bit skeptic about how Bane is being depicted in this movie. The clip made him look like the head of a criminal organization, with people serving him, not the other way around which is usually the case. He was always more of a henchman than a villain of his own in my eyes, but who knows, this new direction Nolan is taking him might be interesting. At the end of the clip, there were a bunch of random scenes of Batman being awesome. You can probably find a leak of the clip somewhere.

  16. Congrats on the well deserved new tag, Mr. EB Philanthropist! :)

  17. I love it! It looks great all around and has just enough of that Hufflepuff spirit! That flipping barrel feature is great too! If there was one thing I would improve, it would be that somewhat empty looking wall of the common room, opposite of the ladder. Perhaps you could put some book shelves or torches there? Also, I hope this depicts the room sometime after 1995, because if it doesn't, it would be a crime not to have Cedric in there! Very nicely done. Go Hufflepuff!
  18. Thanks, Doc. And thanks to everyone else too! I had a very nice day with lots of cake and other foods. I got the new Y-Wing set (which I might review) as well as an HD 3D TV, complete with blu ray player, wall mount, and Tron Legacy 3D! My folks took me to see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, The IMAX Experience which was a great movie! I can really recommend it, although only half the scenes were shot in the IMAX format, but those which were shot that way were amazing, such as the skyscraper free-climbing scene! The best part was that we were the only ones in the theatre. Happy Birthday to mutley and any others who share this special day with us! He might give you some cone troopers, but he'll probably keep the clone troopers.
  19. Well, there was also this, but I hardly think it counts.
  20. Hm... I think I'd rather see the Avengers fighting together again in the next movie than against each other. But I'm too excited to see the first movie to worry about that right now.

    MOC: Appa

Hi everyone. Sorry to bump such an old topic, but due to the popularity of this MOC, I have decided to add it to Lego Cuusoo. So, if you want to have your own Lego Appa, please click the following link and support it! http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/8890
  22. I don't think there are any pictorial ones here, but there are a few on youtube. By the way, do we know the official story for this theme yet? I have yet to hear an explanation for why there are live dinosaurs in a modern day jungle near a city. Maybe Lego is deliberately being vague in order to avoid lawsuits from the right owners of Jurassic Park.
  23. Why link to the teaser when you can show off the full trailer? This trailer confirms that there is indeed an Iron Man suit with a circle on the chest in the movie! I bet this version will come in the Quinjet set.
  24. "I have an army!" "We have a Hulk." Best comeback ever! Purest Awesomesauce I ever saw. Can't wait!
  25. Ever heard of inverted slopes?
