Sorry for the lack of pictures. I am writing this rather quickly and will add pictures as I take them. I am currently moving. I recently lost my job that a supported my family on. This hardship has made make some choices I wouldn't normally make. I decided to liquidate my entire lego collection. I have over 400 minifigures. Most of them from the Lotr/hobbit, kingdoms and castle 200+ including a lot of goblins and urk. There is about 100 pirates with PotC. About 100lbs of bulk lego. I am currently trying to figure out a way to measure it all exactly. These are of sets I purchaced over the last several years. I have all of the LotR and hobbit sets except orthanc and the newest sets. This includes the poly bags and the limited elrond. Also the imperial flag ship lego exclusive and the original imperial flagship. Also included is a complete diagon alley with out figure. Another set included is the MMV. There is around 80 complete sets mostly all castle/kingdoms LotR and hobbit with a bunch of others. I can send pics via email. Here is the sticker shock. I have a set amount of money in my head. I believe it's a fair amount for a very large collection. If you are truly interested in helping me out we can discuss it. I will also send pics. Shipping will be a pain so you should probably be in the USA.

I just got the the Chains to Champions game. Its a great game. I played it with ny 11 and 8 yearold a little advanced for my 8 yearold but my 11 yearold had a great time. I am going to introduce it to my gaming group this weekened.

the lack of any pictures is weird in the very least. I do like the MOC though.

The only problem I see is this thread has degraded to a lot of people not talking about Lego or future sets for the LoTR franchise and instead arguing and devolving into pettiness.

Sadly I think the LoTRs theme is a dead. I am glad I got at least one of everything. It was I felt a popular theme. I can only hope for more fantasy/medieval themes in the future. We still have some hobbit sets!

That isnt true. The Lego Group does read forums.

I don't think they are that rare. Not like the elf bag. I have 5 on eBay and they havnt moved at all.

Wish list or not your logic makes some sense. I will hope that its true and we get the final wave this theme deserves.

The new wave of sets in my opinion is great. The figures are a great draw and the fact there is a lot of great MOC pieces is a bonus. They are a perfect mix of figure and pieces sets. Kinda the holy grail of what people that build are looking for. Now I say this is my opinion. I have just started my very first MOC ever and was excited about the parts I was getting out of Dol Guldur battle. All of the parts are useful without having to many large (in my opinion) ugly window pieces. The set says ruins to me and it should. I also am a huge fan of the statue figure. In my current project I am building a church/temple to compliment MMV and MFR sets and this figure is going to look great in it.

I like the amount of tattoos in that group. It warms my heart to see tattooed Lego guys lol.

Great review. This set will be one of the rare ones I buy at least 2 of. Mostly for the figures but I do think it has some great parts in it as well. Could someone please post a pic of the different orcs/goblins together. I am trying to get a fix on color.

Any thoughts on the exclusive figure for hobbit? or has this been brought up?

This wave is a huge let down. I will probably only get Shakespeare. He can at least work well with pirates/medieval. I only wish Lego would have just made this one a standalone series.

Has anyone done any alternative mordor orc prints in clear? I apologize if I am rehashing I tried searching and I kept getting this thread. If no one has I would love some different styles along with some orc berserkers. Also has any every tried to decal one of the large cave trolls?

I don’t think I am alone in this but the figures in these sets look, amazing sadly the buildings don’t. The only cool looking buildings are the ones from 79013 lake town chase set. Mostly the random wall buildings are kind meh to me in the rest of the sets. Luckily the figures are really nice. I am excited about the new orcs. With some parts mixing you can have a truly diverse group. The elves that are nicely represented in 79012 Mirkwood Elf Army are a great start to any army. I am personally happy that overall only 3 repeat figures in this year’s sets Gandolf, Bilbo, and Thorin. No more getting Bilbo in every freaking set. I very rarely buy more than one of each set (with my limited funds and other hobbies it’s hard). I could actually see myself getting two 79012 Mirkwood Elf Army and 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush for the minis alone.
