I understand the anger that was a result of the prequels, but I don't think anyone can really say that George Lucas is not a creative genuis. Yes I would agree with you that in recent years, he has lost his creative sense as he hasn't really developed any new ideas, but he still is the creator of star wars and I think that we should always show respect for his wonderful creation and honor the things he has done for the many star wars fans, young and old, out there. I'm really curious to see what the new Star Wars movie will be about. I personally hope it would be about the Old Republic as thats the only area not really put to the test by the franchise (not including the video games), sadly I highly doubt they will make any Old Republic Movies and just follow Lucas' plan of making the episodes 4, 5 and 6 about Luke and the rebellion then 1,2 and 3 about Anakin and the clone wars and finally ending on 7, 8 and 9 which was meant to be about what happens after the Battle of Endor. In that case, I'm not really sure what there going to do actor wise( If they bring in new actors, I am done with Star Wars), but I do see some great lego sets coming out of these movies though. This has been in my head all afternoon now and I believe that there are three possible storylines... The Old Republic( mainly about the Great Galactic War and Darth Malgus' rise to power, I would say this one has about a 40% chance of coming to reality) The New Republic(mainly about the defeat of the Empire, Clone of Palaptine and the fall of Luke Skywalker to the Dark Side. All three movie plots are right there, I would also say this one has about an 80% chance of becoming reality.) The History of Yoda( mainly about yoda's past and training Count Dooku. This one is as about a 5% chance of coming to reality though.) I'm pretty positive we'll end up with the new republic one, perhaps not like my idea, but something around those lines.

I'm not to shooked about Disney buying out Lucasfilms, talks of this have been going on for about two years now, I'm really suprised to hear about the release of Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9 though. I really never thought anyone would try to make these movies, but I guess you can never really question the magic of Disney. This whole making of the movies is going to be very interesting as their only getting about 2 years to make this movie, that reminds me does anyone know the name of the movie, Star Wars_________? I hope disney just doesn't make it into something like John Carter because I'm pretty sure that will ruin the whole star wars franchise forever and I don't want to see Star Wars die due to one bad movie, but they have done really well on all the Marvel movies at this point so there's some hope. This is good for lego though, it will keep them in bussiness until all the movies are released, but this does raise some questions though, such as what will the fate of the clone wars be( I'm I going to have watch it on Disney channel now or is this season ithe final one), when will the movies be released in 3-D now, what will the next movie be about and what will it have to offer to Hasbro and lego?

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
North Lego Star replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
So does anyone know the prices of the upcoming Superman and Iron Man 3 sets? I really hope there's a cheap set for each one so I don't have to pour my money into a set that I'm only getting for the minifigs. On that topic, I was wondering what is the Extremis set is going to be based on ( Is it going to be a set with little building and mainly centered around the minifigs or could it present a decent build? with good minifigs also?) -
Here are my thought on possible sets bassed off the Onderon Episodes of the CW... Onderon Rebel Speeder: Onderon Rebel, Saw Gerrera, Battle Droidx2-19.99$ Droid Gunship Attack: Commando Droidx2, Ahsoka, Lux Bonteri, Onderon Rebel, Small Rebel Blaster Station-49.99$ Super Battle Droid MTT: Super Battle Droidx12, Steela Gerrera, General Kalani, King Ramsis Dendup, General Tandin-119.99$ Thanks For Reading!

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
North Lego Star replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, it seems that every year now, Lego changes the box art. In this case, I believe it was changed to from Darth Maul to Yoda due to the release of Episode II and Episode III in 3D. By the way, when do we typically get the summer wave rumors? I'm really excited about that wave since it should contain a decent anount of Episode II sets as well as Episode VI sets and at least one Clone Wars set( I highly doubt we see more than one Clone Wars set next wave just due to the fact that we got 4 pretty good ones in the winter wave.) -
No, I personally haven't noticed anything new looking in that preview that seems close to a Republic Gunship, unless your talking about the small transport ship that has a red plasma cockpit and is seen with Plo Koon and Woffle coming out of it? This wouldn't be bad set, if it were to include a Phase II Woffle as well as a couple of Shock Troopers and Plo Koon. However, I think we have a higher chance of getting an Umbaran Tank, Mandalorian Death Watch Type set, Onderon Type set or even a set based off the last season once again like a Nighsisters set or something form the whole Deception based episodes.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
North Lego Star replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Today, I was able to pick up an Endor Planet Set, I actually really like everything about this set and now I have someone to driver my AT-ST. I really need to stop buying though, the winter wave is going to make a pretty big hole in my wallet, as I'm buying the Clone vs. Droideka Battle Pack, A-Wing Starfighter, Rancor Pit, Umbaran MHC, Republic BARC Speeder and Kamino Planet set for sure, still debateing getting the AT-RT set itself or just picking up a 501st clone on Ebay. On top of that, I also have to keep in mind that the summer wave may also have some great sets and that the May the Fourth Be With You limited Edition Minifig will also be something I'll probally want (really hope that, the Minig this year will be Dexter since we're going to get Pong Krell.) -

Well, the Hoth Planet Set is a total disappointment to me. Although Hoth, the Snowspeeder and the printing on the legs of the Snowspeeder Pilot are nice, its really sad that its the same head and helmet used on the Yavin 4 Pilot. I mean lego really couldn't just make a new face print for the pilot and called him Dak? On the other hand, the Endor Planet set is actually really nice, I like how the B-wing and the Planet itself turned out, but I don't like the Helmet on the B-wing Pilot that much, I thought lego would have atleast used the one in the A-wing, I'll still probally end up buying this one though. By the way, are these the correct prices in the US dollar for the 2013 set... Battle Packs-12.99$ AT-RT-19.99$ A-wing Starfighter-24.99$ Z-95 Headhunter-49.99$ Rancor Pit-59.99$ Republic BARC Speeder-29.99$ Umbaran MHC-49.99$ Planet Sets-9.99$ -

Has anyone else noticed that the TIE Pilot in the Asteriod Field Planet Set is actually new. The Printing on his chest is new and it appears lego has also added a grey line on top of the TIE Pilots helmet. Sadly this doesn't change my opinion about the set. -

Ya his jacket is new, you can also see what other minifigs are new on the boxes because they will have a bright green label next to them. -
LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
North Lego Star replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, I'm pretty disappointed in the way the Planet Sets turned out... Coruscant Planet Set- This planet set had so much potential, but I guess lego just decided to go the easy way out. I think main thing that gets me about this set is the Clone Trooper. Were already getting one in the Battle Pack so why through it in here. I think it would have been better if we got a Clone Commander or maybe even a Phase II Clone Pilot. It a shame how tis set ended up in my opinion. Kamino Planet Set- This one is probally the best out of Series 3, the Planet itself looks pretty nice and the ship ins't bad, but the R4-P17 is what make this set a buy for me. Asteriod Field Set- I really hope this planet set is as bad as they come because this one is terrible. Lego really couldn't just make an astroid looking thing and package that instead of putting brown dots all over a black ball. The TIE Bomber is actually pretty good, but why are we getting so many TIE Pilots? I think the worst part about this set is that there actually a TIE Bomber Pilot, but no I guess lego just loves those TIE Pilots. Alderaan Planet Set- This again is a bad set in my opinion because of the minifig selection. The Planet and the Tantive IV are great just the Rebel Trooper in the set. Lego really have included Captain Antilles in this set and it would have made it an easy purchase for many people. I guess lego took the easy way out here too though, its a shame. Planet Endor Set- The B-Wing and B-Wing Pilot in this set don't look bad so far actually its just way are we getting the Planet Endor. I would have perfered a Sullust, but I may end up picking this one up anyway. Hoth Planet Set- The Planet itself looks pretty good as well as the Snowspeeder, I just hope we get a Wes Jackson in this set. It seems like lego is pulling away from placeing more important or well known minifigs in the planet sets this year and I think if they included him in this set, it would make it a buy for me. I think the main problem for the planet sets this coming year are again the minifig placement, sad because this year lego had great minifig placement I thought. Thanks For Reading! -
Well, with the release of the new pictures of the lego star wars sets for 2013, here are my currnet predictions on the summer wave for 2013... Umbaran Tank: Umbaran Soilderx2, Domga-24.99$ Imperial AT-ST Walker: AT-ST Driver, Rebel Commando, Romba-24.99$ Hailfire Droid Attack: Super Battle Droidx2, Shaak Ti, Clone Captain-39.99$ Imperial Shuttle: Emperor Palpatine, Imperial Guardx2, Imperial Shuttle Pilot-59.99$ Jango Fett's Slave 1: Jango Fett, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lama Su-79.99$ Republic Gunship: Anakin, Count Dooku, Clone Pilot, Clone Trooper, Clone Commander, Count Dooku's Speeder Bike-119.99$ Ewok Village: Endor Luke, Ewok Village Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Wicket, Teboo, Lumat, Scout Trooperx2, Speeder Bike-119.99$ Limited Edition Sets: Republic AT-TE Walker: Plo Koon, Geonosian Warriorx2, Clone Pilot, Clone Trooperx2, Republic Speeder Bike-89.99$ Imperial TIE Interceptor: TIE Pilot, Admiral Piett, Imperial Protocal Droid-39.99$ I also hope we get a nice large lego exclusive set this year as it seems that over the past three years every other theme has gotten one. So heres, my idea on what we'll get... Geonosian Arena: Anakin, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme, Mace Windo, Poggle the Lesser, Kit Fisto, Pablo Jill, Geonosian Warrior, Geonosian Battle Droidx4, Reek, Acklay, Nexu-199.99$ Thanks For Reading!

Her are my thought on the new sets... -Spider Man Set: This set is bad just, I thought we would be getting a cheaper set than it is. Its not like this set is really pricey, but I feel like we could have gotten something very similar for 10$ cheaper. Overtime though, I my find myself buying this set, but for now this is not purchase for me. -Batman and Mr. Freeze Set: This set isn't so great on the other hand. I think the Bat Ice Sled is just to strange looking and its so Funny how useless Aqua Man is in this set. Mr. Freeze is really nice though and I like his Freeze Gun as well despite this, I don't think this will be a purchase of mine. Thanks For Rreading! -

Well, those sets look worst than I thought they would... -AT-RT: Lego really messed this one up bad, in my opinion, the AT-RT is way to big, same goes for the Sniper Droideka. It nice to see yoda an a 501st Trooper in a cheap set though, has anyone else noticed that it appears that lego has changed back to the old green blade for the lightsaber by the way? I doubt this will be purchase for me in the end just due to the fact that the AT-RT angers me so much. -Old Republic Battle Pack: This is actually a pretty nice set, I like the design of the Sith Skiff as well as the Republic Troopers, despite this I will not be buying this set simply because I have no interest in the Old Republic sets. -Clone vs. Droideka Battle Pack: Really disappointed in the way this one turned out. I was looking foward to getting some Phase II clones for a sheap price, but I guess that will have to wait till next year or sometime in the future. The Droidekas are the worst design yet but, I really do like the Phase I clones in this set as well as their Command Center, I probally only pick one of these sets up though. My Phase one Army is already big enough. -A-Wing Starfighter: This is a reallly nice set. I love the Design of the A-Wing, how it curves is just great and I love the new A-wing Pilot and the new torso for Han. This is a for sure purchase for me. -The Z-95 Headhunter: Although this is a nice set looking set, I don't really so many features coming out of it( Interesting how the spring firing missile is coming back into sets by the way), the PIlot and Pong Krell looks just great, but I feel like lego could have included maybe a Fives or Dogma instead of another 501st Trooper. I porbally never pick this one up, but I may end up buying Krell on Ebay and buying the Coruscant Planet Set assuming it comes with the Phase II clone pilot. -Republic BARC: This is a really nice. I love how Captain Rex and Obi-Wan Turned out. I also love the detail in the BARC Speeder as well. Lego did a great job with this one. -Umbaran MHC: This is also a great looking set. I love the new Ahsoka and Umbarran Soilders. Is it just me or does the 212th Clone Trooper look a bit more yellow than orange? I hope this isn't how Cody turns out when we get him. I'll probally end up buying this set now since I will probally not buy an of the Super Hero Sets now as well as a second clone vs. Droideka Battle Pack. I also like the Box Art this year. It make the sets stand out more to me and what else can I say otherthan it's Yoda on the Front! Although I thought these sets would be a bit better, I'm still pleased by how they turned out. Thanks For Reading! -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
North Lego Star replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would have to say the worst lego star wars set at the moment would be the 7190 Millennium Falcon From the Year 2000. I know lego star wars was still starting out at that time, but the set still seems very poorly built. Just look at the cockpit of the ship, its just terrible, its looks like a box almost. I don't want to get anyone angry with my comments though as I pretty sure my love for my 7710 Luke's Landspeeder or my 7144 Slave 1 would raise some debate. Just my personal view on this set. Hopefully, this stays my least favorite set and the lego star wars sets from 2013 don't end up repalceing it. -

That's pretty neat that you were able to take a look at the sets, and since you did, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me... 1.Where the clones in the Clone vs. Droideka Batle Pack Phase I or Phase II clones? Maybe a better question would be if the background of the battle pack is more sand orange like geonosis or something other than that? 2.Was the Clone in the AT-RT set an ARF Trooper or just aregular 501st trooper and do you think its possible that the Droid in that set could be a Tactical Droid or even a Super Tactical Droid? 3.Finally was the Clone Pilot in the Coruscant planet set a a Phase I pilot or a Phase II pilot? I would greatly apperciate it if you would respond to these questons, thanks. -

I have to admite, I am pretty dissapointed in this wave at the moment. I know I can't make my final judgements at the moment, but so far, I think the only purchase for me this wave will be the Spider Man vs. Venom set. Its a pretty cheap set that includes some great well-known minifigs. Although this wave doesn't have much for me, I think its a good thing because it means that I can save up for next wave and hopefully purchase a set or two from that wave concering Iron Man 3. Nice find by the way Breno-bbc, I think your absoultey correct about about the images from the SDCC, this gives me hope that we can except some Thor sets this upcoming year too. -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
North Lego Star replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I also just got back from one of my local Targets, and I saw they had every star wars set marked down including the Planet Sets which were only 7.99$ each, so I picked up the Bespin planet set. Sometime this week I hope to return and pick up something larger, possible the Gungan Sub. -
I also think it would be great if lego released a Theed Palace. I personally doubt it would span across a three PT movies rather than be centered around Episode 1. I also believe if we were to get one, it would be broken into two parts like Jabba's Palace was, here's how I think they would turn out... -Theed Palace: Padme, Captain Panaka, Nute Gunray, Haako Rune, Security Droidx2, Naboo Guard, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Darth Maul. Some Features of the Palace would be, Large Opening doors, Theed Reactor, Throne Room and other Features--119.99$ -Naboo Starfighter wtih Theed Hanger: Anakin, R2-D2, Ric Olie, R2-R7--59.99$ Just an idea, Thanks for Reading!

Well, for DC I would really love to see a Clayface minifig, but I would also like to see a the Joker from the Dark Knight and a Harvey Dent from the Dark Knight. As for Marvel, I would really like to see an Rhino minifig as well as a Lizard minifig. I just finished watching the Avengers again(its actually a really good movie) and it got me thinking once again. I would also like to see lego make a more movie accurate Black Widow. I personally think the current one is pretty ugly as well as inaccurate to the movie Balck Widow, I believe lego needs to use a shorter hair piece for her and also take away the lines on the sides of her face. Thanks For Reading!
-
Well, today I finally was able to see the Avengers and it got my brain thinking about some possible sets from that movie as well as the other Marvel Movies... Avengers- -S.H.E.I.L.D. Jet Attack: Iron Man, Black Widow, S.H.E.I.L.D. Jet Pilot, Portal Generator--24.99$ -The Chitauri Leviathan: Bruce Banner, Thor, The Hulk, Chitauri Soliderx2, Motorcycle for Bruce Banner--59.99$ -S.H.E.I.L.D. Helicarrier: Iron Man, Tony Stark, Captain America, Steve Rogers, Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Loki, Agent Phil Coulson, Agent Maria Hill, Black Widow, S.H.E.I.L.D Helicopter. Some Features of the ship would be, removable roof top, Research lab, Command Bridge, Hero Room(room has a place for Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to change into Iron Man and Captain America), Prison Holding Room, and some other features--249.99$ Iron Man- -Iron Man vs. Iron Monger: Iron Man, Obadiah Stane, Pepper Potts, Iron Monger Suit--19.99$ -Whiplash's Robotic Engineering Lab: Iron Man, War Machine, Whiplash, Whiplash's Dronex2--39.99$ I would like to have some ideas more concering the other Marvel Movies, sadly I have yet to see them. Just some ideas though, Thanks For Reading!

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
North Lego Star replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's a shame lego willl not be releasing any pictures of any star wars sets at the NYCC this week. I mean, yes we've gotten alot of pictures for the other themes, but I just don't see why lego would be holding them back at this point. In the end, I guess we just have to wait. I also wanted to go over the information someone( I sadly can't remeber who) gave us about the new sets as they were able to see them. I'm able to recall most of the information you provided us with, but to who ever saw the sets, I just wanted to ask if the Clone Trooper Battle Pack was clone wars based or Episode II based as you said something about a Clone Commander who are only present in Episode II. I would greatly appriciate it if you would respond to my question and also, thanks for the information by the way. -
With the new pictures of the Batman and Spider Man sets finally being released, it got my brain thinking of some posssible future sets... Batman- -Bane's Hideout: Batman, Bane, Catwoman, Bane's Henchmen, Officer John Blake, The Batpod--39.99$ -The Penguin's Sub Attack: The Penguin, Robin, Penguinx2, Robin's Jet Ski--14.99$ -Mad Hatter's Escape: Mad Hatter, Hugo Strange, Batman, Arkham Asylum Getaway Van--19.99$ -The Bat Tank: Batman, Clayface, Killer Moth--34.99$ -Hunt For Killer Croc: Batman, Nightwing, Killer Croc, Batboat, Killer Croc's Sewer Speeder Boat--49.99$ -Wayne Manor: Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Batgirl, Ra's al Ghul, Talia al Ghul, Bat Car--69.99$ -The Dark Knight's Tumbler: Batman, The Joker, Harvey Dent(One side is Harvey Dent's Face while the other side is Two Face's Face)--24.99$ -Scarecrow's Blimp Getaway: Scarecrow, Batman, Batgirl, Man Bat, Bat Hovercraft--49.99$ Spider Man- -Green Goblin's Escape: Green Goblin, Spider Man, Green Goblin's Hoverboard, City Street Lamp--12.99$ -Sandman's Sand Truck: Sandman, Spider Man, Electro--19.99$ -The Lizard's Lab: The Lizard, Spider Man, Mary Jane Watson, Mysterio--34.99$ -Rhino's City Getaway: Rhino, Spider Man, Carnage, Peter Parker, Police Officer, City Bank, Peter Parker's Apartment(switch Peter Parker into Spider Man Feature), Police Van--59.99$ Just some ideas, Thanks for Reading!

I really am not interested in these sets, but it is nice to see lego doing something new and different as I personally would have never excepted lego to even glance upon the TMNT.
