North Lego Star

Thanks for the Pictures nrg! Well, From the start, I had a bad feeling about Palapatine's Arrest and sadly I think I was correct. The set looks pretty simply, nothing to hard to build and lacks alot of possible features considering its price. Although the set itself may not be that great, The minifigs are just amazing! It good to finally see lego starting to drive away from the clone wars minifig look. The Four Jedi are great, nice how they included all of them sucks how they didn't give Kit Fisto a new head though, Palapatine looks incredible with his new double-sided face aswell as his cool golden lightsaber hilt and I can't really see that much change in Anakin though other than his cape and new face. The Jedi speeder looks pretty good too, has some flick-fires and a cockpit so I'm happy. Overall the set is okay, the minifigs and the speeder save it from save it from total failure but, the shocking high price of the set I think will make it hard to sell. If it were around 50$-70$ I would easily buy it, but I'm very conflicted with the set at this point. Hopefully, there will be a 40% off sale at Toys R Us soon then I would be an easy purchase for me.

I agree about the Geonosians, the Clone Wars ones are nice but, they lack the right color and detail of the ones in the movies. Sadly I doubt lego will make a completely new model for the EPII Geonosians, we'll most likely end up seeing different prinitings on the Geonosians from EPII. Thanks for the information eric729, I just went to go check just now it out and it was pretty cool, I was able to find out through the mosiac that the Advent Calander Will have 234 pieces, the Yavin 4 Planet Set will have 77 pieces, the Endor planet set will have 65 pieces and the Bespin Planet Set will have 78 pieces---Happy Revenge of the 5th everyone.

Well this is my overall view of the summer sets form the great pictures that have been shown(Thanks GRogall!) -Desert Skiff- It looks good and has some great minifgs but, the skiff itself is a pretty bad design. In the end though, the minigigs, Sarlac Pit and low price make it a buy fo me. -Republic Striker Class Starfighter-The Ship is really nice and has great design. The minifigs are also a great edition to the set but I think that not alot of lego star wars fans have previous knowledge of the Old Republic, it'll be a hard set to sell. I may pick it up later on but its not a set on my mosted wanted wishlist at the time. -Saesee's Tiin's Jedi Starfighter- Although I really love the new design for the Jedi Starfighter, this set is a bit over priced and the minifigs are not that great, if this set were to go on sale though, I think I may pick it up. -Gungan Sub- This is an incredible set, the Sub itself is a really nice sleek design with some great play features but, what really makes this set a number buy on my wishlist is the minifigs. The Queen is just wonderful, and the new obi-wan and qui-gon are pretty nice too. Despite that its a bit over priced I know this will be the first set I pick up this summer. -Sith Fury-Class Interceptor- The design of this ship is really good and it looks pretty strong aswell. The minifigs are also a great part of this set but, sadly this set is way overpriced and will most likely be a harder set to sell due to it being an Old Republic Set. Unless I find this set at 30% off one day, it will not be in my collection. -Malevolence- When I first saw this set I was convinced that this would be at the top of my purchase list for the summer sets but, now I have to say it will not be a purchase of mine. The ship itself is an okay design, I think lego could have done a lot better and the minigis are not that great and when lego has to put the length of a ship(not including UCS sets) you know the set will be an ify purchase. -Jabba's Palalce- Well the first time I saw the set I thought it would not be a purchase for me this summer but, now This will be my top two purchases this summer. The Palace itself if a nice design that has alot of play features but, the minifigs are what really define this set. Jabba is just amazing with his new design and printing and the gurad, oola and leia are just great. Although its a bit overpriced like the Gungan Sub it will be one of the first things I buy this summer. -Pre Viszla's Starfighter-from the first time saw it, I knew I would slowly fall for this set. Overall its a really nice designed starfighter that comes with a great looking Pre Viszla for a pretty cheap price. In the end It will find its way into my lego collection. Still no pictures of palpatines Arrest? Well I think last year we din't get pics of the Echo Base into late May or Early June so I think within in a month we'll see some pics of the set. Well its been four years now since we first got the first Star Wars the Clone Wars set(7669 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter) and out of these four great years I was just wondering what's everyones favorite Star Wars the Clone Wars set, 2008-2012? My personal Favorite is 8039 Ventor-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. The set was the first Star Wars set I spent over a 100$ dollars on but, in my eyes, it was worth it. I love the set so much from all of its great features to the first Palpatine minifig with his two Senate Commandos! Please Share your favorite Star Wars the Clone Wars set with all of us. I believe he got that information about the Mandolorian Shuttle from the Wall of Lego Star Wars Prototypes topic. I could see that as a possible set for next year, throw in 2 Mandolorian guards, Duchess Satine and Padme and you have a pretty good set which would run for about 50$-60$, but lets get back on topic. Lego did a really nice job on that R2-D2, I just love all of his little weapons and tools that come out of him. Even though I believe they should have included that tool that comes out of his head and side jet boosters he still is really nice. I also noticed the new information about Palpatiine's Arrest and well it will be a nice set and everthing with some cool new minifigs but its just going to be over priced. I have a strong feeling that it will run for at least 80$ so thats too bad for many lego star wars fans. Still no Pictures of the UCS B-wing, come on lego how long are you going to keep us waiting?

I'm Not sure if anyone had confirmed this but the Mandalorian Starfighter is a Walmart Limited Edition Set meaning that Palpatine's Arrest will be a Toys R US limited Editon Set. I then thought about it and I'm pretty sure that Palpatine's Arrest will be only 34.99$ like the Spider Droid which was also a Toys R Us set and that same year the winter Toys RUs set was the Solar Sailer which sold for 49.99$ like this year we had Y-wing which sold for that same price Toys R Us sets: 2008: Winter Set-Soiler Sailer(49.99$)--Summer Set-Spider Droid(34.99) 2012: Winter Set-Y-wing Bomber(49.99$)--Sumer Set-Palpatines Arrest(29.99$-34.99$) If this were true, I coud see a small Ofiice and Jedi Speeder with 5 minifiguers(Palpatine, Mace Windo, Anakin, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto). Hopefully more Information on that set to come soon.

This is really hard to decided on, 1999 was a perty nice year but I think that was just because it was the first year of lego Star Wars... 2008 was pretty good(The DEATH STAR) aswell as 2010(Freeco speeder,AT-AT,Wampa Cave), 2011(Falcon, Podracers,Naboo Starfighter) and this year 2012(Jabba's Palace, Gungan Sub, Y-wing) but may favorite Lego Star Wars year would have to 2009... In 2009 we saw the Republic Shuttle, Echo Base Turrent, Hyena Bomber, Corporate Alliance Tank, Seaperatist Shuttle and one of my favorites the Ventor so ya, 2009 was the best lego Star Wars year in my opinion.

The new Padme looks really ugly, suprised lego didn't do a better job on her. I was looking Over the First Page and I noticed there were no prices below the new sets, so here are the prices of the new sets I know for sure... Saesee Tinn's Jedi Starfighter-29.99$ Republic Stricker-44.99$ Gungan Sub-69.99$ Furry Class Interceptor-89.99 I don't know the prices of the other three sets for sure but I believe these are there prices... Skiff-24.99$ Malevolence-119.99$ Jabba's Palace-139.99 Every set seems to be overpriced except for the Skiff and Malvolence. Dose anyone know if the knew UCS R2-D2 can move, it sure would be great if he did and from the image it looks like he might be at the far end of the table for a reason.

Well I must say, the sets look really nice... Jabba Palace: This is a really nice looking set sith alot of neat little features, great details, and wonderful minifigs. Jabba looks incredible lego really out did themselevs here, Bib, Leia and Crumb look really nice aswell. As much as I would like to get this set I most likely won't just do to its high price, if it ran for 90$-100$ I would consider it but, for a 140$ its just to much, I'll try to get Jabba on ebay though. Gungan Sub: I like it, seems good size, you can fit JarJar, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in one cokpit and that queen is just amazing!!!!! I also like the Obi-wan hair peice and Padwan brad on his torso. I'll end up getting unless its more than 60$ than I'll Just get the queen on ebay. Desert Skiff: Look nice in back, the Front looks like a mess but I bet lego will fix that, The minifigs look great, Boba and Lando are great and look and the Skif guard are nice too. I'l get the set if its no greater than 30$. Malvolencee: I'll end up getting it just becase I need something to battle my Ventor, can't say much more until I see ssome new pictures of it. Pre Vizla's Starfighter: it looks really messy at this point, I didn't even think it really looked like that, I thought it was more like the Republic Stricker(the wings rotate 90 degrees up when in landing mode and are even with the cockpit when in flight mode). I was hoping for this set to based on the CW episode A Friend in Need( a Pre Vizla, Snow Gear Lux Boneiteri, Ahsoka and a Mandolorian)but, this is based on the episode where Obi-Wan protected Dutchess Satine. Well most likely get a new Obi-Wan in this set but, come on, just thrown in a Satine and Someone else to make lego fans happy. I can't wait till this weekend for more pictures where I'll make my final decisions on what sets to get and not get.

I was looking over the picture again and I noticed what I believe is a Trident Droid and a Kaminian Water speeder on the bottom right hand conner This would be the best CIS droid set to come out, hopefully we'll see it really soon.

Well if lego were to go head and do more planet sets using the same planets there's a huge list of things they could do just withe the 3 sets we have now... Tatooine: Escape Pod-C-3PO Landspeeder-Luke Sith Infultratior-Darth Maul Death Star: TIE Advanced-Vader Super Star Destroyer-Pittie Falcon-Han Solo Naboo: Royal Starship-Queen Amidalia Flash Speeder-Naboo Guard Gungan Sub-Jar-Jar There still alot more too! Its not likely lego would do this though just because there are some many planets in the movies and clone wars left to make.

I think if you have the Force and are at least a Younglin you're a jedi...lets get back on topic though. I was looking at the Star Wars Prototype topic and I noticed two Mandilorian Fighters on the display case... I believe one of those will be very similar to Pre's Fighter, which reminds me, do we know if the Pre's Fighter is a Walmart or Toys R Us limited edition set? I have a strong feeling the Fighter will be Toys R Us set(due to it size) and Palapatines' Arrest will be a Walmart set very similar to Lukes Landspeeder(5 minifigs, small speeder)which was also a Walmart set. Can't wait to see good pictures of the final versions of the new sets this week!

This is great, I believe this picture of all these prototypes allows us to see futuer star wars set (the Republic Crusier, Sandcrawler, Snowspeeder and Star Destroyer prove this since we already got them), I would love to see that great looking Republic Cannon really soon (it looks like a set just as a prototype!) aswell as the Kashyyyk tree set, that UCS Slave 1, the AT-ST set next to the Yavin 4 Base and the UT-AT. Great Find

Well, the New picture is interesting... I had no Plans to get the Republic Stricker before but now, I'm Positive I wouldn't get it, its just to blocky with to many colors, if it ran for 24.99$ I would possibly check it out but, I have a good feeling there going to charge at least 40$ for it so, No way this is on my summer list. As for the Malvolence it looks great, looks smooth and strong aswell big and includes a new Padme so, this is on my summer list. Can't wait to see more pictures next week!
